Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the views of students at MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru City regarding the figure K.H Ahmad Dahlan, to find out how to implement K.H Ahmad Dahlan's character values ​​in history learning at MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru City, and to find out the obstacles to implementing K.H's character values Ahmad Dahlan in history learning. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative type. The results of this research show that students' views on the character and also the values ​​of K.H Ahmad Dahlan have a good view, namely having a religious and nationalistic nature. This shows that MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru students also know the values ​​of the figure K.H Ahmad Dahlan and apply them in everyday life. And there are 5 character values ​​of K.H Ahmad Dahlan as stated in Strengthening Character Education (PPK), namely religious values, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation and integrity. The instilling of K.H Ahmad Dahlan's character values ​​has been carried out well in history learning at the MA Muhammadiyah school in Pekanbaru City. At the MA Muhammadiyah school in Pekanbaru City, apart from studying history, there are Muhammadiyah subjects which also play an important role in implementing the values ​​of the figure of K.H Ahmad Dahlan to students. And there are several obstacles in implementing K.H Ahmad Dahlan's character values ​​in history learning, namely incomplete facilities in the classroom such as the absence of a projector (infocus) in the classroom. This results in the lesson hours being cut so that the time allocated for the learning process becomes less. Apart from that, the obstacle experienced by history teachers at MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru is the teacher's lack of pedagogical competence so that teachers have difficulty dealing with the many differences in student character.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kronologis merupakan kemampuan dasar dalam mempelajari sejarah, maka untuk mencapai beberapa tujuan dalam mempelajari sejarah peserta didik harus memiliki kemampuan dasar dalam berpikir sejarah yakni kemampuan berpikir kronologis. Maka untuk dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kronologisnya peneliti tertarik untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran sebagai alat bantu dalam proses pembelajaran yakni media e-booklet berbasis timeline. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media e-booklet berbasis timeline pada materi Indonesia masa kolonial untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kronologis siswa kelas XI SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan diantaranya analisis, perencanaan, pengembangan, penerapan, dan evaluasi. Hasil validasi ahli untuk media e-booklet berbasis timeline memperoleh persentase 88% dari ahli materi, 94% dari ahli media, 88% dari penilaian siswa uji coba kelompok kecil, dan 86,2% dari penilaian siswa uji coba kelompok besar dengan kategori keseluruhan “sangat layak”. Selain itu, hasil pretest-posttest dari kedua kelompok menunjukkan hasil n-gain score dengan kategori sedang pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan kategori tinggi pada uji coba kelompok besar. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media e-booklet berbasis timeline efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kronologis siswa kelas XI SMAN 12 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The establishment of PRRI was a reaction to the leadership of President Soekarno and to create a more decentralized government in Indonesia. The first joint operation known as Operation Tegas led by Lieutenant Colonel (Inf) Kaharuddin Nasution in Pekanbaru.The research problem was the destruction process of PRRI in Sungai Pagar, Kampar Kiri Hilir in 1958-1961. This research aims to (1) know the background of the emergence of PRRI in Riau (2) to know the PRRI movement that occurred in Sungai Pagar 1958-1961 (3) to know the actions in an effort to suppress PRRI in Sungai Pagar by the Republican Army. This research is a library research study. The method used in this research is qualitative historical methods covering four stages including: heuristic, critism, interpretation, and historiography. As for the location of the research that is in Sungai Pagar Village, Kampar Kiri Hilir District, Riau Province. The result showed that the destruction of PRRI in Sungai Pagar was based on the involvement of US CIA who provided weapons and drop it at Pekanbaru and Sungai Pagar village which is approximately 30km from Pekanbaru became one of the areas used by PRRI troops in resistance to the Republican army.

Abstract

Cognitive processes in comprehension include interpreting, exemplifying, classifying, summarizing, concluding, comparing, and explaining. These form comprehensive cognitive abilities. This part of comprehension develops from the basic ability to transform information to the higher-level ability to analyze cause-and-effect relationships. Mastery of this entire section enables students to process information deeply and develop meaningful understanding. History learning plays an important role in raising collective awareness, creating a sense of belonging, and social solidarity. History lessons teach about the origins, development, and roles of past societies, which have the wisdom to shape students' intelligence, attitudes, and personalities. History learning still uses conventional methods such as lectures, group discussions, and simple media. More interesting and interactive learning variations are needed to train students' understanding of history through Genially website-based interactive learning media. The main objectives of developing this media are to improve students' understanding and interest in history, to provide an alternative to conventional teaching methods, and to train the digital and visual literacy skills of students at SMAN 16 Pekanbaru. The results of expert validation for the Genially website-based interactive learning media obtained a percentage of 98% from subject matter experts, 94% from media experts, and 92.3% from test students' assessments.

Abstract

Suku mandailing merupakan salah satu suku bangsa yang mendiami sebagian kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan dan Kabupaten Mandailing Natal, Sumatera utara. Sampai saat ini suku Mandailing telah menyebar keberbagai wilayah di nusantara termasuk di Kecamatan Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis. Kebanyakan dari mereka bekerja di bidang pertanian namun ada pula yang bekerja diluar dari pertanian. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu 1.) Untuk mengetahui awal mula masuknya tata cara perkawinan suku mandailing di Kecamatan Mandau, 2.) Untuk mengetahui tata cara perkawinan suku Mandailing di Kecamatan Mandau sebelum adanya era globalisasi, 3.) Untuk mengetahui tata cara perkawinan suku Mandailing di Kecamatan Mandau pada era globalisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada tahun 1957 sebagai awal mula masuknya suku mandailing di kecamatan Mandau sekaligus masuknya tata cara perkawinan yang di bawa oleh suku mandailing tersebut. Banyaknya suku mandailing yang hidup dan tinggal di kecamatan Mandau menunjukkan bahwa kecamatan Mandau memiliki potensi ekonomi yang cukup. Kedatangan mereka ke kecamatan Mandau untuk melakukan perubahan kehidupan mereka secara ekonomi dan juga keinginan mereka untuk mengenal dunia luar yang lebih luas. Tata cara perkawinan suku mandailing sebelum adanya era globalisasi di kecamatan mandau memiliki 18 tahapan dan setelah adanya era globalisasi tata cara perkawinan suku mandailing di kecamatan Mandau memiliki 10 tahapan. Faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya perubahan tata cara perkawinan suku mandailing di kecamatan Mandau yaitu komunikasi, ekonomi, masuknya budaya lain, waktu dan pendidikan.

Abstract

Museum Negeri Provinsi Riau atau yang saat ini lebih dikenal dengan nama Museum Sang Nila Utama merupakan salah satu museum yang ada di Indonesia yang dihasilkan dari program pembangunan museum pada setiap provinsi melalui program Pembangunan Lima Tahun (Pelita). Pembangunan museum pertama di Riau masuk dalam program Pelita II yang dilaksanakan pada tahun anggaran 1974/1975 – 1978/1979 bersama-sama dengan 25 museum lainnya yang ada di seluruh Indonesia. Awal pembangunan museum dimulai dengan membentuk suatu Bidang Permuseuman Sejarah dan Kepurbakalaan untuk membantu terlaksananya usaha pembangunan museum ini. Peresmian Museum Negeri Provinsi Riau ini diresmikan langsung oleh Direktur Jenderal Kebudayaan Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, yaitu Prof. DR. Edi Sedyawati pada tanggal 09 Juli 1994. Dalam perjalannya dari tahun 1975-2001 Museum Negeri Provinsi Riau mengalami banyak sekali perubahan, baik dari aspek fisik maupun nonfisik hingga dengan pemanfaatan museum selain sebagai tempat melestarikan benda-benda bersejarah sampai dengan sebagai tempat belajar untuk para pelajar dan masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Tokoh yang menjadi salah satu pahlawan dalam konfrontasi Indonesia-Malaysia adalah Harun Bin Said yang merupakan anggota Korps Komando Operasional Angkatan Laut. Melakukan sabotase dan meledakkan gedung MacDonald House  sebagai salah satu gedung penting di Singapura. Namun sayang karena diduga sebagai bentuk kegiatan terorisme, Harun pun dihukum gantung oleh pemerintah Singapura. Penelitian ini akan membahas tentang (1) Latar belakang kehidupan Harun bin Said hingga bergabung dalam KKO; (2) Peranan Harun bin Said sebagai tokoh pejuang dalam Konfrontasi Indonesia Malaysia 1963-1968; dan (3) Akhir perjuangan Harun bin Said dalam Konfrontasi Indonesia Malaysia 1963-1968. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode sejarah dengan empat tahapan yakni heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Pengumpulan sumber diperolah dari Kearsipan Negara Republik Indonesia, Perpustakaan Korem 031/Wira Bima Kota Pekanbaru, Perpustakaan Umum dan Kearsipan Kota Pekanbaru, Perpustakaan Wilayah Soeman H.S Pekanbaru, Perpustakaan Kota Batam, Perpustakaan BP Batam dan Kantor Legiun Veteran Republik Indonesia Kota Batam. Serta melakukan wawancara kepada keluarga, para tentara dan sukarelawan operasi Dwikora. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Harun bin Said merupakan pahlawan pejuang dalam konfrontasi Indonesia-Malaysia yang melakukan sabotase melalui misi rahasia ke Singapura pada operasi Dwikora.

Abstract

Rumah Lontiok is a traditional Malay house in Kampar Regency. One of the Rumah Lontioks that exists as residences and tourist attractions is the Rumah Lontiok in Kampung Pulau Belimbing which is a hundred years old. However, currently, there is damage in the spatial layout of the Rumah Lontiok area which is characterized by not placing the building according to its original condition. This will eliminate the value of the cultural significance of the Rumah Lontiok area. The purpose of this writing is to obtain a conservation plan for the arrangement of the Rumah Lontiok area. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The author conducted an interview, excavated historical information, and observed the state of the Rumah Lontiok area. The results obtained are the concept of adaptive use in area conservation by restoring buildings to their original state and adding tourist facilities to support cultural tourism activities in the Rumah Loniok area.

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of the Quizizz application on junior high school students' comprehension, highlighting its potential to enhance classroom instruction through innovative and engaging learning strategies. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach was employed, encompassing planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting stages. The study involved 36 eighth-grade students at SMPN 3 Batang Gangsal. Data were gathered through observations, tests, and documentation. Qualitative analysis of observational data was conducted using tables and diagrams to track progress, while quantitative analysis compared student performance across two cycles. In Cycle I, the average student score was 62.4, with 38.89% (14 students) achieving scores ≥70. By Cycle II, the average score increased to 74.1, with 88.89% (32 students) meeting or exceeding the benchmark. These results demonstrate significant improvement in students' comprehension of social studies. The findings highlight the effectiveness of Quizizz as a tool for engaging students and enhancing learning outcomes. Its interactive features contributed to increased student motivation and better comprehension of social studies concepts. The Quizizz application proved to be an effective and innovative learning tool, significantly improving student comprehension. Future research should explore its application across diverse subjects and educational levels to assess its broader impact on learning outcomes.

Abstract

The 21st Century demands innovative educational models that incorporate technological advances to support research and teaching. This study examines the need to develop a research-based history learning model using the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework (RBL-TPACK) to enhance history education. The research adopts a Research and Development (RD) approach, focusing on the analysis stage. Participants include 27 history lecturers and 107 students. Data collection involved observations, interviews, and questionnaires, with qualitative analysis used to assess the necessity of RBL-TPACK in history education. Findings indicate that research-based learning (RBL) is crucial for supporting lecturers' tridharma responsibilities and enriching local history education. However, the integration of RBL into lecture content and outputs remains suboptimal. Students demonstrated a strong preference for incorporating lecturers' research outputs into learning materials. The integration of digital tools via the TPACK framework offers a promising approach, enhancing theoretical and practical learning dynamics. The study highlights the potential of RBL-TPACK to foster historical thinking skills and enrich learning experiences. Despite its importance, gaps in integrating RBL and digital tools into teaching practices persist. Addressing these gaps through a structured RBL-TPACK model can better meet the demands of modern history education. Developing an effective and contextually relevant RBL-TPACK model is vital to advancing history education and addressing the challenges of 21st-century learning. This foundational analysis underscores the need for further development and implementation of this innovative approach.
