Abstract

Arabic, which is closely known as part of Islam because it was chosen directly by God as the language of the Qur'an and Hadith, now seems to be an exclusive language to learn. Since long ago, the views of the Indonesian people, especially non-Muslims, towards Arabic were only limited to religious languages without seeing the urgency of the Arabic language itself. Therefore, this study wants to reveal the positive views of non-Muslims towards Arabic because researchers believe that not all non-Muslim Indonesians think that way. This is done to open the views of the sacredness of the Indonesian people towards Arabic. This study uses a mixed methods approach between qualitative and quantitative. The instrument used was the Forum Group Discussion (FGD) with each representative from a non-Islamic religion in Indonesia and as supporting data, the researcher conducted reference searches in journal articles and the like. As an introduction, the researcher reveals that there is an alignment or de-sacralization of Arabic objects. Then the researcher found the influence of Arabic on non-Muslim objects of worship and its influence on the international scene. In addition, the practical and pragmatic orientation of non-Muslims towards learning Arabic and the opportunity to make it part of the National curriculum can also have an impact on the process of open-mindedness in society, which until now still consecrates the Arabic language with parallelism or de-sacralization of Arabic objects.

Abstract

Abstract

This research analyzes translation techniques in the official YouTube subtitles for the "Rarra Pain" episode and Google Translate results. With a descriptive qualitative approach, the main data is Indonesian text and Arabic translation from Google Translate and YouTube subtitles. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation, and analysis using content analysis to identify translation techniques. The results of the analysis show that Google Translate uses literal and automatic techniques that are less contextual and sometimes rigid. In contrast, YouTube subtitles exhibit a variety of more adaptive techniques such as literal, modulation, amplification, and reduction. YouTube subtitles more effectively convey messages with appropriate cultural and idiomatic nuances. For series like Nussa, which contain cultural nuances and colloquial language, YouTube subtitles effectively convey the message to Arabic-speaking viewers. This research provides important insights for the development of better translation techniques, especially for children's content.

Data collection was carried out by observation, interview, and documentation methods. In this study, researchers used descriptive qualitative methods, namely research methods by describing muhadatsah learning through project-based learning. The study results showed that muhadatsah learning through project-based learning in class X-AKL of Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Vocational School with stages or paths that students must do during learning is quite clear and structured. Success can be seen in this project-based learning, where students actively collaborate, communicate, ask questions, and express opinions. Meanwhile, the drawback is that it requires a long time and limited media for making projects. From these results, it is suggested to be more intensive in monitoring the work of students' assignments so that time can be more effective at each meeting and to ask permission for media access to student dormitory supervisors. Keywords: Learning, muhadatsah, project-based learning
