Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the satisfaction of retired participants in Taspen in the Tanjungpinang city area. Methodology: This study adopted a quantitative approach using a sample of 150 retired participants. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 23 and SEM-PLS version 4 to test the measurement and structural models. Results: Findings revealed that service quality and communication significantly affect trust, whereas the utilization of management information systems does not. In contrast, management information system utilization significantly affects satisfaction, whereas service quality and communication do not. Trust significantly affected satisfaction and mediated the relationship between service quality and satisfaction, but did not mediate the effects of system utilization and communication on satisfaction. The model explained 52.8% of the variance in trust and 48.9% of the variance in satisfaction. Conclusions: Participant satisfaction was strongly influenced by trust, which bridged service quality and satisfaction. However, the role of management information systems and communication in driving satisfaction is more direct than that of trust. Limitations: The study is limited to Taspen pension participants in Tanjungpinang City, which may reduce generalizability. Contribution: This study contributes empirical evidence to the pension service management literature by highlighting the mediating role of trust and offering practical insights for improving service delivery, system utilization, and communication strategies.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the direct and indirect effects of product quality, volume, tariff, and service on customer satisfaction at PDAM Tirta Mulia Karimun, Riau Islands Province. Research Methodology: This study used a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 200 respondents, who were analyzed using the SMARTPLS program. After validity and reliability tests were conducted, a hypothesis test was performed. Results: The findings show that product quality, volume, and service have a significant direct effect on customer satisfaction, while tariffs do not have a direct significant effect. However, product quality, volume, and tariffs each significantly affected satisfaction indirectly through service quality (p < 0.05). The overall model explained 70.4% of the variance in customer satisfaction. Conclusions: Customer satisfaction with PDAM Tirta Mulia Karimun is significantly influenced by product quality, volume, and services. Although tariffs do not directly influence satisfaction, they have a significant indirect effect on service. Improvements in water quality and volume are the most critical areas for increasing customer satisfaction. Limitations: This study was limited to customers of PDAM Tirta Mulia Karimun in one regency, which may affect the generalizability of the results to other regions or service providers. Contribution: This study provides empirical evidence of how indirect effects through service quality mediate customer perceptions, which can guide policy and operational improvements in regional water service companies.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between education, training, and promotion on employee performance, mediated by job satisfaction. Methodology: The study utilizes a quantitative research methodology involving survey questionnaires administered to employees in the Inspectorate of Tanjungpinang City and Bintan District. Results: The results demonstrate a positive relationship between education, training, promotion, and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction also mediates the relationship between these variables and employee performance. By identifying the impact of education, training, and promotion on job satisfaction and employee performance, this study provides insights for organizations to improve human resource management practices and optimize performance. Conclusions: The findings highlight that education, training, and promotion significantly influence job satisfaction, which in turn enhances employee performance. Organizations must prioritize investment in these areas to create a motivated and productive workforce. Limitations: This study is limited by the sample size and geographical scope, impacting the generalizability of the findings. Reliance on self-reported data may also introduce bias, and external factors beyond the study’s control could affect outcomes. Contribution: This research enriches scholarly discourse by offering a nuanced understanding of how education, training, and promotion collectively impact employee performance through job satisfaction. It also provides practical recommendations for organizational stakeholders to design policies and programs that support sustainable employee development and performance improvement.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes the influence of leadership, remuneration, and competence on employee turnover intention in BPR Sejahtera Batam, with organizational culture as an intervening variable. In the last five years, turnover intention in BPR Sejahtera Batam has increased significantly, reaching 21.05% in 2023. Research Methodology: This study employed a quantitative approach using census sampling of 111 employees. Primary data were collected through questionnaires with a Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4. Results: Using primary data from 111 employees, this study found that leadership and competence did not significantly affect turnover intention, either directly or through organizational culture. In contrast, remuneration was shown to have a significant effect, highlighting the importance of compensation in employees' decisions to stay or leave the company. Organizational culture was not a significant mediator between remuneration and turnover intentions. Conclusions: Employees’ decisions to stay or leave are primarily determined by remuneration factors rather than leadership, competence, or organizational culture. Compensation aspects, such as salary, benefits, and bonuses, play a stronger role than other organizational factors in shaping turnover intentions. Limitations: This study focused on one organization with a relatively small sample size, which may limit the generalizability of the findings. Broader studies across multiple banks and regions are recommended. Contribution: This study provides practical insights for bank management to prioritize improvements in remuneration systems and employee welfare programs as effective strategies to reduce turnover intention.

Abstract

Purpose: This research analyzes the influence of motivation, work culture, and work environment on the performance of Village-Owned Enterprise Management (Bum Desa) with empowerment as an intervening variable in the Riau Islands Province. Research Methodology: The study used A quantitative survey of 302 BUM Desa managers (sampled from 1,245 using Slovin’s formula) was conducted. Data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS to test validity, reliability, and direct and indirect effects. Results: In 2023, of the 249 villages in the Riau Archipelago, only 10 (4%) were advanced and 34 (8.5%) developing, with most still basic. Using data from 302 managers, the study found that work culture and environment had no significant effect on empowerment, but together with motivation, they significantly improved performance. Conclusions: Motivation is the most critical factor for improving managerial performance, whereas empowerment strengthens the link between organizational culture, environment, and outcomes. Limitations: The study was limited to one province, and the results may differ in regions with stronger institutional and infrastructural support. Contribution: This research contributes to the development literature by highlighting the role of motivation and empowerment in improving BUM Desa performance, providing insights for policymakers and village leaders to strengthen the organizational capacity.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes the influence of motivation, organizational commitment, and workload on job satisfaction of regional officials with competency as an intervening variable in the Riau Islands Province Regional Financial and Asset Agency. In 2023, 11,380 files (49.26 %) experienced delays in processing from SPP to SP2D for 3 – 10 days. Research Methodology: A quantitative approach with census sampling of 105 employees was used. Data were collected through questionnaires with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using PLS-SEM (SmartPLS 4) to assess validity, reliability, and structural relationships. Results: Using primary data from 143 employees, this study found that motivation has no direct significant effect on job satisfaction. In contrast, motivation, commitment, and workload significantly influence competence, highlighting the importance of motivation in improving employee performance. Competence has also been proven to be a significant mediator between motivation, commitment, and workload on job satisfaction. Conclusions: Employee satisfaction is strongly shaped by effective communication and leadership, supported by positive interpersonal perceptions, whereas coordination contributes weakly. Limitations: This study focused only on one government agency with cross-sectional data, limiting generalization and temporal analysis. Contribution: This study highlights the mediating role of interpersonal perception, offering practical insights for strengthening communication and leadership to enhance satisfaction in public institutions.

Abstract

, Kegiatan sosialisasi pajak penghasilan bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dilaksanakan sebagai bagian dari upaya peningkatan kesadaran dan pemahaman pelaku usaha terhadap kewajiban perpajakan. Dalam kegiatan ini, diberikan penjelasan terkait kewajiban pajak penghasilan (PPh) Final UMKM, ketentuan tarif, cara pelaporan, dan pembayaran pajak secara daring. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 50 pelaku UMKM dari berbagai sektor usaha di RT 002/RW 007 Teluk Mata Ikan, Kelurahan Sambau-Nongsa Kota Batam. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap aspek perpajakan, khususnya PPh Final UMKM. Sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat mendorong kepatuhan pajak serta memperluas basis pajak nasional.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine and analyze the direct influence of spiritual motivation, integrity, competence, organizational culture, locus of control, and organizational commitment on the performance of accountants at the Riau Islands Province Public Accounting Firm, and then indirectly test and analyze the influence of spiritual motivation, integrity, competency, organizational culture, and locus of control on accountant performance through organizational commitment. Research Methodology: The population in this study was 102 accountants using the census method, and the entire population was used as a sample. Quantitative data were collected using a questionnaire, and qualitative data were obtained by direct interviews with accountants. Results: From the research results it was found that of the six variables, the one that had the highest influence on performance was organizational commitment (t-value 6.321) and the lowest was spiritual motivation (t-value 2.507). Furthermore, spiritual motivation has the highest influence (t-value 21.893), and integrity has the lowest (t-value 3.467) on organizational commitment. Next, the position of organizational commitment plays the largest role in improving accountant performance and the smallest role is the spiritual motivation variable; the rest is influenced by other variables that were not examined in this study. Conclusions: The influence of dependent variables on independent variables is strong, as is the influence of dependent variables on intervening variables. In this research, all variables have a strong influence on the dependent and intervening variables. Limitations: The dependent variables of this study have not fully provided a definite role for organizational commitment on accountant performance; therefore, it is necessary to add other variables to clarify it.    Contribution: This study serves as a reference for developing an individual behavior model regarding individual characteristics, individual mechanisms, and what individuals produce in public accounting organizations that continue to experience changes in information technology from time to time in the context of reform for progress based on performance as an outcome.

Abstract

Examine how training, workload, and discipline impact employee performance through work satisfaction. A total of 52 respondents were used as samples. The study utilized a questionnaire with Likert scale to collect data for research purposes. Validity and reliability tests are conducted on the instrument, with normality and linearity tests being used to check assumptions. Analyzing data through the use of analysis techniques to understand how training impacts employee performance through work satisfaction at the Provincial Education Office Kepri. Findings from the research suggest that (1) training directly impacts employee performance with no significant influence, (2) workload directly impacts employee performance with no significant effect, (3) discipline has a direct and significant influence on employee performance, (4) training has a significant impact on employee performance through work satisfaction, (5) workload has a significant influence on employee performance through work satisfaction, (6) discipline plays a significant role in employee performance through work satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the work - life balance of female workers in work - family conflict (Case Study of PT Citra Tubindo Tbk). This study analyzes what work - family conflicts most often occur so that they can hinder the work - life balance of female workers and find out whether the support of women's empowerment organizations has been effective in helping female workers in dealing with work - family conflicts at PT Citra Tubindo Tbk and achieving work - life balance. This study uses primary data from structured in-depth interview techniques and direct observation. The sample determination in this study used cluster sampling technique so that the sample used was 16 female workers who worked in the RFPC department (Regional Finance and Procurement Center). The results of this study were analyzed using deductive thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that female workers at PT Citra Tubindo Tbk have succeeded in achieving work-life balance despite experiencing work - family conflict with organizational support that is considered effective in helping female workers. Most of female workers have achieved a balance of involvement (involvement balance) in work and family even though they experience conflicts of physical and psychological tension in family life caused by work life. This is due to the support of the Women@Vallourec organization which is considered the most effective in helping work - family conflict.
