Abstract

The problem in this study was the low critical thinking skills of fourth grade students at SDN 1 Totokaton in Pancasila education subjects. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills. This study is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of 42 fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Totokaton. Sampling was conducted using a saturated sample technique. The research sample consisted of fourth-grade class A as the experimental class and fourth-grade class B as the control class. Data collection techniques included tests and non-tests. Data analysis techniques used simple linear regression tests. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant effect of the use of the problem-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills with a simple linear regression test that showed a significance of 0.001 ≤ 0.05.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in grade III of SD Negeri 4 Metro Barat. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the wordwall-assisted discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in grade III of SD Negeri 4 Metro Barat. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. This study uses a saturated sample technique with a sample size of 15 students and a population of 31 students. Data collection techniques use test techniques in the form of multiple-choice questions and non-test techniques in the form of observation sheets. Hypothesis testing uses a simple linear regression formula. The results of the study indicate that there is an effect of the application of the Wordwall-assisted Discovery Learning model on the learning outcomes of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in grade III of SD Negeri 4 Metro Barat.

Abstract

Teaching strategies implemented by educators in elementary schools have not yet fully addressed the diverse disciplinary characteristics of students. This study aims to describe educators’ understanding of variations in students’ disciplinary character, identify the teaching strategies employed, analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation, and explain the impact of these strategies on the development of student discipline. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, strengthened by source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that educators understand differences in students’ disciplinary character, as reflected in aspects such as attendance, compliance with rules, and responsibility in completing tasks, and respond to these differences by applying positive reinforcement, individual approaches, role modeling, habituation, and flexible learning methods. The effectiveness of these strategies is supported by parental cooperation and school policies, while the obstacles include differences in students’ backgrounds, uneven learning motivation, and limited time for classroom management. Overall, the implementation of adaptive and consistent teaching strategies has been shown to have a positive impact on improving student discipline, particularly in terms of rule compliance and task completion. Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of Pancasila Education for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri five Bandar Jaya. The purpose of this study is to determine the significant effect of the snake and ladder learning media on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education for students and the significant difference in the average learning outcomes of Pancasila Education between the snake and ladder learning media and the Student Worksheet (LKPD) learning media. The research method used was a quasi-experiment. The research design used was a non-equivalent control group design. The research population consisted of five-two participants, and the sample consisted of five-two students, which was determined using total sampling technique. Data collection techniques included tests and non-tests. The hypothesis tests used were simple linear regression and independent sample t-tests. The results obtained from the first hypothesis test, Fcount>Ftable, indicate that there is a significant effect of the snake and ladder learning media on the Pancasila Education learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri five Bandar Jaya in the 2025/2026 academic year. and the second hypothesis, thitung>ttabel, means that there is a significant difference in the average Pancasila Education scores between the experimental group (using the snake and ladder learning media) and the control group (using the LKPD learning media) of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri five Bandar Jaya in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of extracurricular scouting activities in forming the character of discipline in high-grade elementary schools. Strengthening the formation of disciplined character is important considering the many moral crisis incidents in various groups, including children. Therefore, character formation needs to be honed as early as possible. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that extracurricular scouting activities play a role in forming a disciplined character by getting students used to arriving on time, obeying existing rules, completing assignments on time and using good and correct language. (1) forms of scouting activities designed to form a disciplined character through physical training (PBB, pioneering, ropes and others), ceremonies (morning roll call), and social interactions (group activities and forming a squad). (2) Through the process of instilling habits with various forms of activity, over time students will start to get used to doing things such as arriving on time, obeying existing rules, doing assignments on time and using good and correct language repeatedly, so that students can have good personalities and discipline during scouting activities and in their daily routines in the school environment.

Abstract

Kehilangan minyak produksi memiliki nilai standar secara nasional dan standar pabrik. Kadar kehilangan minyak yang tinggi mempengaruhi efisiensi produksi pengolahan dan menimbulkan kerugian. Angka kehilangan/kerugian minyak sawit merupakan banyaknya minyak yang tidak terambil pada proses pengolahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase oil losses di fat pit sesuai dengan standar pabrik, berapakah persentase kehilangan minyak (oil losses) produksi yang terbuang pada kolam fat pit dan apa sajakah faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kehilangan minyak (oil losses) pada kolam fat pit di pabrik kelapa sawit PT. X. Analisis oil losses dilakukan dengan metode ekstraksi. Dari hasil pengolahan data yang dilakukan diperoleh rata-rata minyak basah yang terkandung dalam sampel lumpur kolam fat pit sebesar 0,59% dimana rata-rata minyak basah tersebut telah sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan pabrik (maks 0,60%). Dari hasil pengolahan data diketahui bahwa rata-rata minyak kering yang terkandung dalam sampel lumpur kolam fat pit sebesar 12,91% dimana rata-rata minyak basah tersebut telah sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan pabrik (maks 15%).

Abstract

The objective of the research is to investigate the potential of circular economics in the development of the national ship recycling industry cluster. In conjunction with the entry into force on 26 June 2025 of the Hong Kong International Convention for the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships, which establishes mandatory regulations to govern the way ships are recycled, modern ship recycling facilities are also growing in Indonesia. This growth is mainly due to the constant increase of uneconomical and old national shipping fleet. Which needs to be renewed and sent to the ship recycling facilities, due to the impact of the Cabotage principle, and due to high demand for raw materials from the iron and steel industry. in modern ship recycling activities, which comply with the regulations of the Hong Kong Convention, the "3 Rs" (recycle, reuse, and reduce) processes are realized, i.e., scrapped metal materials will be used as raw materials by the steel industry. ship structure and components, which are still in good condition, can be used by ship repair yards and other uses, and hazardous wastes are properly handled and treated. which will protect the environment from pollution, and indirectly reduce deforestation from ore mining. The potential circular economics could be realized by the networking of the ship recycling activities, which include: ship recycling yards, shipping companies, steel industry, ship repair yards, waste treatment facilities, and related institutions, which can be integrated into a ship recycling industry cluster.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low critical thinking ability of students in Civic Education learning for grade V at SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur. The purpose of this study is to see whether the application of the problem based learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in Civic Education learning and to determine the differences in improving students' critical thinking skills with the PBL model and the inquiry model in Civic Education learning. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method in the form of a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all grade V students of SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur, totaling 51 students. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique, with class VA students as the experimental class and class VB students as the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests and observations. Data analysis used in this study were the N-gain test and the t-test. The results of the data analysis using the N-gain test for the experimental class were 0.4 and the control class 0.3 with a difference of 0.1. Furthermore, the results of the data analysis using the t-test showed that the value = 2.495 with a value of 0.016 < 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the PBL model can improve students' critical thinking skills in Civic Education learning and there is a difference in improving students' critical thinking skills when the PBL model and the inquiry model are applied.

Abstract

The development of critical thinking skills has become an essential competence in 21st-century education, requiring learning processes that are meaningful and problem-oriented. However, science learning (IPAS) in elementary schools still tends to emphasize conceptual memorization, resulting in students’ critical thinking skills, particularly in ecosystem topics such as food chains, being insufficiently developed. This study aimed to develop and examine the effectiveness of Canva-based interactive media integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving fifth-grade students’ critical thinking skills. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, followed by an effectiveness test using a Pretest–Posttest Control Group design. The research participants consisted of 44 students, including 25 in the experimental group and 19 in the control group. Data were collected using a validated critical thinking test that assessed the indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Data analysis was conducted using a t-test and effect size calculation. The results indicate that the implementation of Canva-based interactive media through the PBL model had a significant positive effect on students’ critical thinking skills. The effect size value of 1.670 indicates a very high level of impact. These findings suggest that integrating interactive digital media with problem-based learning effectively enhances students’ active engagement and analytical abilities in IPAS learning.

Abstract

Every aspect of education that is now in place has to be continuously improved by the government. The Admissions Process for New Students (PPDB) in schools that have a zoning system in place is examined in this study. The primary goal of the study is to use the clustering approach to calculate the distance between students and schools. Analyzing, gathering, processing, and evaluating data are all steps in the research methodology. The study's findings demonstrate how the zoning system has a big impact on school enrollment trends. These results highlight how crucial it is to keep the PPDB's zoning system under constant review in order to provide equitable access to education for all pupils without sacrificing educational quality. The investigation ultimately discovered clustering in the distance, classified as the closest and farthest radius, between the student's home and the school. as well as the significance of a more comprehensive study.
