Abstract

This study analyzes the role of extracurricular scouting activities in forming the character of discipline in high-grade elementary schools. Strengthening the formation of disciplined character is important considering the many moral crisis incidents in various groups, including children. Therefore, character formation needs to be honed as early as possible. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that extracurricular scouting activities play a role in forming a disciplined character by getting students used to arriving on time, obeying existing rules, completing assignments on time and using good and correct language. (1) forms of scouting activities designed to form a disciplined character through physical training (PBB, pioneering, ropes and others), ceremonies (morning roll call), and social interactions (group activities and forming a squad). (2) Through the process of instilling habits with various forms of activity, over time students will start to get used to doing things such as arriving on time, obeying existing rules, doing assignments on time and using good and correct language repeatedly, so that students can have good personalities and discipline during scouting activities and in their daily routines in the school environment.

Abstract

Kehilangan minyak produksi memiliki nilai standar secara nasional dan standar pabrik. Kadar kehilangan minyak yang tinggi mempengaruhi efisiensi produksi pengolahan dan menimbulkan kerugian. Angka kehilangan/kerugian minyak sawit merupakan banyaknya minyak yang tidak terambil pada proses pengolahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase oil losses di fat pit sesuai dengan standar pabrik, berapakah persentase kehilangan minyak (oil losses) produksi yang terbuang pada kolam fat pit dan apa sajakah faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kehilangan minyak (oil losses) pada kolam fat pit di pabrik kelapa sawit PT. X. Analisis oil losses dilakukan dengan metode ekstraksi. Dari hasil pengolahan data yang dilakukan diperoleh rata-rata minyak basah yang terkandung dalam sampel lumpur kolam fat pit sebesar 0,59% dimana rata-rata minyak basah tersebut telah sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan pabrik (maks 0,60%). Dari hasil pengolahan data diketahui bahwa rata-rata minyak kering yang terkandung dalam sampel lumpur kolam fat pit sebesar 12,91% dimana rata-rata minyak basah tersebut telah sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan pabrik (maks 15%).

Abstract

The objective of the research is to investigate the potential of circular economics in the development of the national ship recycling industry cluster. In conjunction with the entry into force on 26 June 2025 of the Hong Kong International Convention for the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships, which establishes mandatory regulations to govern the way ships are recycled, modern ship recycling facilities are also growing in Indonesia. This growth is mainly due to the constant increase of uneconomical and old national shipping fleet. Which needs to be renewed and sent to the ship recycling facilities, due to the impact of the Cabotage principle, and due to high demand for raw materials from the iron and steel industry. in modern ship recycling activities, which comply with the regulations of the Hong Kong Convention, the "3 Rs" (recycle, reuse, and reduce) processes are realized, i.e., scrapped metal materials will be used as raw materials by the steel industry. ship structure and components, which are still in good condition, can be used by ship repair yards and other uses, and hazardous wastes are properly handled and treated. which will protect the environment from pollution, and indirectly reduce deforestation from ore mining. The potential circular economics could be realized by the networking of the ship recycling activities, which include: ship recycling yards, shipping companies, steel industry, ship repair yards, waste treatment facilities, and related institutions, which can be integrated into a ship recycling industry cluster.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low critical thinking ability of students in Civic Education learning for grade V at SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur. The purpose of this study is to see whether the application of the problem based learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in Civic Education learning and to determine the differences in improving students' critical thinking skills with the PBL model and the inquiry model in Civic Education learning. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method in the form of a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all grade V students of SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur, totaling 51 students. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique, with class VA students as the experimental class and class VB students as the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests and observations. Data analysis used in this study were the N-gain test and the t-test. The results of the data analysis using the N-gain test for the experimental class were 0.4 and the control class 0.3 with a difference of 0.1. Furthermore, the results of the data analysis using the t-test showed that the value = 2.495 with a value of 0.016 < 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the PBL model can improve students' critical thinking skills in Civic Education learning and there is a difference in improving students' critical thinking skills when the PBL model and the inquiry model are applied.

Abstract

The development of critical thinking skills has become an essential competence in 21st-century education, requiring learning processes that are meaningful and problem-oriented. However, science learning (IPAS) in elementary schools still tends to emphasize conceptual memorization, resulting in students’ critical thinking skills, particularly in ecosystem topics such as food chains, being insufficiently developed. This study aimed to develop and examine the effectiveness of Canva-based interactive media integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving fifth-grade students’ critical thinking skills. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, followed by an effectiveness test using a Pretest–Posttest Control Group design. The research participants consisted of 44 students, including 25 in the experimental group and 19 in the control group. Data were collected using a validated critical thinking test that assessed the indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Data analysis was conducted using a t-test and effect size calculation. The results indicate that the implementation of Canva-based interactive media through the PBL model had a significant positive effect on students’ critical thinking skills. The effect size value of 1.670 indicates a very high level of impact. These findings suggest that integrating interactive digital media with problem-based learning effectively enhances students’ active engagement and analytical abilities in IPAS learning.

Abstract

Every aspect of education that is now in place has to be continuously improved by the government. The Admissions Process for New Students (PPDB) in schools that have a zoning system in place is examined in this study. The primary goal of the study is to use the clustering approach to calculate the distance between students and schools. Analyzing, gathering, processing, and evaluating data are all steps in the research methodology. The study's findings demonstrate how the zoning system has a big impact on school enrollment trends. These results highlight how crucial it is to keep the PPDB's zoning system under constant review in order to provide equitable access to education for all pupils without sacrificing educational quality. The investigation ultimately discovered clustering in the distance, classified as the closest and farthest radius, between the student's home and the school. as well as the significance of a more comprehensive study.

Abstract

Banyak hal yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam memberikan hasil belajar kepada peserta didiknya tujuannya agar peserta didik bisa menunjukkan sikap kritis, kreatif, dan bertanggung jawab dalam belajar. Peneliti ini dilatar belakangi oleh sebagian siswa kurangnya pemahaman guru terhadap pelaksanaan assessment search. Selain itu, sebagian siswa masih lemah atau rendah dalam memperoleh nilai tugas dari hasil akhir pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini penulis merumuskan permasalahan yaitu: 1. Bagaimanakah Efektivitas Penggunaan Strategi Assessment Search Dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Akidah Akhlak Di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darut Thalibin Ponteh Galis Pamekasan Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025? 2. Apa sajakah faktor pendukung dan penghambat strategi assessment search dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Akidah Akhlak Dimadrasah Tsanawiyah Darut Thalibin Ponteh Galis Pamekasan Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025? Jenis penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh berupa deskriptif. Sumber data di kelompokkan menjadi dua yaitu data primer seperti kepala Sekolah, guru pengampu mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak, dan siswa. Sementara data sekunder sumbernya berasal dari dokumentasi. Adapun prosedur pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang peneliti lakukan menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan strategi assessment search di MTs Darut Thalibin Ponteh Galis Pamekasan sudah diterapkan dengan baik dan efektif hal ini dibuktikan dengan penerapan pembelajaran yang terlaksana sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik dibuktikan dengan nilai tugas. Sedangkan faktor pendukung penggunaan startegi pembelajaran assessment search adalah tenaga pendidik yang kompeten, sarana dan prasarana yang memadai, kesiapan peserta didik dalam menerima pembelajaran. Sedangkan faktor penghambat penggunaan strategi pembelajaran assessment search adalah, waktu yang kurang, kendala teknologi dan keterbatasan sumber daya.

Abstract

There are still aspects of the TQM (Total Quality Management) concept that do not align with Islamic principles. Therefore, the researcher will analyze the TQM principles presented by Prof. Assagaf in order to derive a more suitable concept. This research is a library study that emphasizes the analysis of literature from verses, hadiths, and other relevant sources. The results of this study indicate that the principle of prioritizing customer satisfaction is not fully in line with Islam; instead, it should prioritize self-improvement, followed by internal customers, and then external customers. The concepts of satisfaction and quality should also be adjusted to Islamic principles. As for the principle of respecting employees, it can be implemented if the concept of taqwa (piety) is practiced, selecting appropriate members and humanizing individuals, while not excluding the possibility of sanctions if necessary. Fact-based management can be applied if a team is formed to collect facts, process them, and use them in the improvement process, without neglecting human performance tendencies. To achieve continuous improvement maturity, generational development is necessary, and the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) program should be practiced along with subsequent improvements. This process should involve all parties, with each playing their respective roles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aktivitas dakwah Immarotus Syu'unith Thalabah (IST) dalam meningkatkan kualitas public speaking santri di Pondok Pesantren Islam Al Muhsin tahun 2024. Public speaking merupakan kemampuan penting bagi santri sebagai calon dai yang dituntut mampu menyampaikan pesan dakwah secara efektif dan komunikatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap pengurus IST, pembina, serta santri yang terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan dakwah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas dakwah IST berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas public speaking santri, khususnya pada aspek keberanian tampil, artikulasi, penguasaan materi, intonasi suara, serta struktur pemenuhan pesan. Dari 20 santri yang mengikuti kegiatan dakwah, sebanyak 14 santri mengalami peningkatan public speaking secara signifikan, sementara 6 santri lainnya menunjukkan peningkatan secara bertahap. Faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan dakwah IST meliputi pelatihan rutin, metode dakwah yang variatif, serta dukungan pembina dan lingkungan pesantren. Adapun faktor penghambat internal meliputi perbedaan tingkat kepercayaan diri santri, keterbatasan waktu latihan, serta evaluasi kegiatan yang belum terstruktur secara optimal.
