Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of corporate crisis communication in the digital age, with a particular focus on the role of social media platforms in shaping organizational strategies. Using a qualitative approach and library research method, the research systematically reviews academic literature, industry reports, and documented case studies to understand how corporations respond to crises in a hyper-connected environment. The study highlights how traditional theories such as Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) and Image Repair Theory (IRT) must be adapted to meet the demands of real-time, interactive, and ethically sensitive digital spaces. Through comparative analysis of successful and failed crisis responses—including global cases such as United Airlines and local cases such as Tokopedia—the research reveals that timely, transparent, and empathetic communication on social media significantly influences public perception and corporate reputation recovery. The findings emphasize that a well-designed digital crisis strategy must integrate technical responsiveness with human-centric values to restore trust and sustain long-term relationships with stakeholders. Keywords : crisis communication, corporate strategy, social media, digital reputation

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of religious moderation education in preventing bullying in schools. A qualitative approach was used, employing observation techniques at a vocational school in Central Java. The study focused on the concept of religious moderation within the school, the learning process, and the integration of moderate values, mindsets, and attitudes. Data were collected through interviews with six respondents, including the school principal, two guidance counselors, an Islamic education teacher, two students, and from school documents such as annual activity reports and teaching modules. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively, using triangulation of sources and techniques, which involved comparing and validating data from various sources (school principal, guidance counselors, Islamic education teacher, students) and school documents to ensure the validity and consistency of the findings. The results of the study reveal that the strategy of instilling religious moderation was implemented through teacher role modeling, the integration of values such as tolerance, justice, and anti-violence in lessons, daily religious activities, student empowerment as agents of change through the Roots Indonesia program, and cross-curricular collaboration. This strategy contributed to creating an inclusive school climate and significantly reduced incidents of verbal bullying. The findings indicate that the implementation of religious moderation values in school education is effective in reducing bullying behaviors and fostering a more inclusive, tolerant, and diverse learning environment.

Abstract

Abstract This study examines the challenges and strategic responses of Islamic religious education among Muslim minority communities in Western societies by focusing on the educational thought of Taha Jabir al-Alwani. Employing a qualitative library-based research approach, the study analyzes both primary and secondary sources related to al-Alwani’s writings on Islamic education and fiqh al-aqalliyyt. The findings reveal that al-Alwani advances a contextual, transformative, and integrative educational model grounded in five core principles: orientation toward maqṣid al-sharīʿah, epistemological renewal (tajdīd), the integration of religious and modern sciences, dialogical pedagogy, and a strong emphasis on ethical formation and social responsibility. Within this framework, Islamic education is conceived not merely as a mechanism for preserving religious identity, but as a means of enabling constructive engagement within pluralistic social settings. The novelty of this study lies in its articulation of the practical relevance of al-Alwani’s educational framework for Muslim minorities in Western contexts, an area that has received limited and unsystematic attention in previous studies. Overall, al-Alwani’s educational thought offers valuable insights for the development of adaptive and future-oriented Islamic education in responding to the challenges of modernity and diversity.

Abstract

Abstract

The implementation of Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education has introduced significant pedagogical shifts, yet its enactment in school contexts remains fraught with persistent challenges. This article aims to critically examine contemporary issues surrounding the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in IRE, identify their underlying causes, and analyze their pedagogical implications for teaching, learning, and character formation. Employing a critical literature review approach, this study systematically synthesizes recent national and international scholarly works published between 2020 and 2025. The review reveals four interrelated challenges: limited teacher understanding of core curriculum concepts such as learning outcomes (CP), learning pathways (ATP), differentiated instruction, and authentic assessment; inadequate technological infrastructure and instructional resources; insufficient and uneven professional development and mentoring; and structural disparities in school facilities that exacerbate educational inequality. These challenges contribute to uneven student competency attainment, suboptimal learning effectiveness, and constraints on the cultivation of religious and moral character. This article contributes to the discourse on curriculum reform by offering an integrative analytical framework that links curriculum policy, teacher readiness, and pedagogical practice in Islamic Religious Education. It further proposes strategic implications for teacher professional development, school-based support systems, and equitable policy interventions to strengthen the sustainable and just implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum across diverse educational settings.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the world’s largest coffee-producing countries. Each region produces coffee with distinctive characteristics that serve as a form of regional branding based on its area of origin. In addition, Indonesia possesses a wide variety of unique coffee processing and serving traditions that reflect local cultural characteristics and the surrounding natural resources. The aim of this study is to analyze the diversity of traditional coffee preparations, the types of additional ingredients used, serving techniques, and the historical value of coffee in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method. Data were collected through a comprehensive review of academic journals, books, official reports, and credible online sources related to traditional Indonesian coffee, gastronomy, and cultural heritage. The collected literature was analyzed descriptively to identify patterns of diversity in preparation methods, ingredients, serving techniques, and the socio-cultural values attached to coffee traditions in various regions. The findings indicate that Indonesia has a wide range of traditional coffee preparations distributed across different regions. Each preparation and serving style is influenced by factors such as the availability of raw materials, community traditions, geographical conditions, and the social functions of coffee within society. Aceh Province is identified as the region with the greatest diversity of traditional coffee preparations. Traditional coffee products in Indonesia have significant potential to be recognized as intangible cultural heritage, to strengthen the gastronomic identity of the archipelago, and to support regional branding and coffee-based ecotourism.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the understanding, challenges, and support experienced by Islamic Religious Education (IRE) lecturers during the transition to the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, which often faces skepticism and technical challenges. This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design to explore the meaning of the lived experiences of four lecturers from the IRE study program. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using a framework analysis based on Kurt Lewin's Three Phases of Change Model (Unfreeze, Change, Refreeze), and enriched with Hochschild's Emotional Labor Theory. The research findings indicate that the OBE transition experienced a systemic failure in the Refreeze Phase. The Unfreeze Phase successfully created cognitive dissonance about the need for change, but immediately triggered negative emotional labor such as "anxiety," "confusion," and "burden." The Change Phase was hindered by dominant restraining forces, particularly the difficulty of designing assessments (considered "the most difficult"), increased workload, and a lack of systemic training support. Consequently, the Refreeze Phase failed; OBE is "not yet established" and is perceived as merely a "momentary trend" of administrative compliance ("discharging obligations"), not as an internalized pedagogical change.
