Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis narasi peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 08 Ganggo Mudiak Kabupaten Pasaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan menulis narasi melalui model pembelajaran Picture and Picture. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan subjek penelitian yaitu guru dan 17 peserta didik kelas IV yang terdiri dari 6 perempuan dan 11 laki-laki. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif, dengan tahapan setiap siklus mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I nilai rata-rata aktivitas guru adalah 87,4% dan aktivitas peserta didik adalah 83,3%, keduanya berada pada kategori baik. Selain itu, rata-rata nilai keterampilan menulis narasi peserta didik pada siklus I adalah 73,28% dengan predikat cukup. Pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dengan nilai rata-rata aktivitas guru dan peserta didik masing-masing menjadi 94,4%, keduanya berada pada kategori sangat baik. Sementara itu, nilai keterampilan menulis narasi peserta didik juga meningkat menjadi 85,74% dengan predikat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model Picture and Picture efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis narasi peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 08 Ganggo Mudiak Kabupaten Pasaman dan pelaksanaannya tergolong berhasil.

Abstract

This study was prompted by the less-than-optimal implementation of writing activities in the learning process, which has led to low writing proficiency among fifth-grade students at SDN 40 Sei Lareh, Padang City. The purpose of this research is to describe the enhancement of students' writing skills through the application of the Circuit Learning model in the fifth grade of SDN 40 Sei Lareh, Padang City.The study was carried out using the Circuit Learning model involving one teacher and 19 fifth-grade students as participants. It employed both qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was categorized as classroom action research (CAR) and was conducted in two cycles. Cycle I consisted of two meetings, while cycle II was conducted in one meeting. Each cycle comprised four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through tests, non-test techniques, and documentation.The findings indicated an improvement in students’ writing skills. In cycle I, the results showed that: a) the RPPM achieved an average score of 92.5 (B), which increased to 97 (SB) in cycle II; b) the teacher’s implementation aspect in cycle I reached an average of 90 (B) and improved to 95 (SB) in cycle II, while the student aspect also increased from an average of 90 (B) in cycle I to 95 (SB) in cycle II; c) the evaluation of students’ narrative writing skills in cycle I yielded an average score of 72.09 (K), which rose to 84 (B) in cycle II.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of students' descriptive text writing skills which are still relatively low. This occurs because (1) students have difficulty in expressing ideas and concepts in writing descriptive texts, (2) students have not been able to describe objects in detail and concretely according to their characteristics (3) writing is not in accordance with the correct structure (4) writing EYD is not yet correct, (5) word choice is less appropriate and still limited. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement in the results of descriptive text writing skills using the guide writing learning method in class IV SDN 2 Sijunjung Sijunjung Regency. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The subjects of this study were teachers and students in class IV SDN 2 Sijunjung Sijunjung Regency totaling 23 people. The results of this study show an improvement in: (1) the suitability of the contents of the descriptive essay to the topic, (2) structure, (3) word choice, (4) object details, (5) mechanics. Based on the research results, each indicator assessment in cycles I and II has increased after the implementation of the guide writing learning method in grade IV of SDN 2 Sijunjung, Sijunjung Regency. Therefore, it can be concluded that the guide wrsiting learning method can improve the descriptive text writing skills of grade IV in elementary schools.

Abstract

At the primary school stage, having a strong vocabulary is essential for enhancing kids' language skills. However, in practice, vocabulary learning, especially connotative meaning in Grade V, is still mostly carried out using conventional methods such as textbooks and lectures. This condition tends to reduce students’ participation, interest, and motivation, which affects their understanding of connotative vocabulary. To address this issue, there is a need for creative and interactive online learning materials to establish a more captivating educational setting. The goal of this project is to develop an e-comic as an educational resource to improve students' understanding of connotative language and to evaluate its effectiveness, practicality, and credibility. The study employs the ADDIE framework along with the Research and Development approach. Expert assessment forms were utilized to collect information, surveys for teachers and students were employed to measure feasibility, and the N-Gain formula was applied to assess the effectiveness of the pretest and posttest outcomes. The findings indicate that the e-comic is very effective, earning ratings of 96% for content, 96% for media, and 88% for language features. It is also highly practical, with 100% from teachers and 98% from students. The score from the effectiveness test, known as the N-Gain score, is 0.7542, which puts it among the highest levels. So, the e-comic works well as a learning tool for fifth-grade elementary students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the advancement of digital technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, which indirectly encourages the use of AI in improving the learning process. On the other hand, reflective learning is an important approach in teacher education because it can develop critical thinking skills, metacognitive awareness, and the ability to evaluate learning experiences. However, the application of reflective learning in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) still faces limitations, especially in the reflection process, which is not optimally supported by digital technology. This study aims to examine and formulate a model for integrating Artificial Intelligence into reflective learning in the PGSD Study Program. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method. The study method analyzes various relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that AI integration can support reflective learning through learning data analysis, providing automatic feedback, and personalizing the student learning process. This integration has the potential to improve the quality of learning reflection and support the development of prospective teacher competencies that are adaptive to developments in educational technology.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the field of education, including the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI), which is increasingly being used to support the learning process. One of the most notable benefits of AI is its ability to personalize learning, meaning it can adapt materials and learning methods to suit the individual needs of each student. This article aims to examine how effective the use of AI is in personalizing learning in the digital era based on existing research findings. The method used is a literature study, which involves collecting and analyzing various articles, journals, and scientific sources related to this topic.The results of the literature review indicate that AI is quite effective in improving learning outcomes, student motivation, and engagement in the learning process. In addition, AI can assist teachers in providing quick and accurate feedback, as well as in monitoring students’ learning progress individually. This makes the learning process more efficient and well-directed.However, there are still several challenges, such as limited access to technology, the digital divide between regions, and the lack of teacher readiness in utilizing AI effectively. Therefore, training for educators and adequate infrastructure support are necessary. In conclusion, AI has great potential in the field of education, but it needs to be supported by appropriate policies and infrastructure to be utilized optimally and equitably.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low descriptive text writing skills of third-grade students of SDN 16 Air Tawar Timur, Padang City, which is caused by teacher-centered learning, lack of active student participation, and less than optimal implementation of writing stages. This research aims to improve descriptive text writing skills through the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning strategy. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach implemented in two cycles, where each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, tests, and non-tests with research subjects including class teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners, and third-grade students as participants. The results of the study showed an increase in various aspects, namely the RPPM assessment which increased from 80% (good) in cycle I to 100% (very good) in cycle II, the teacher aspect assessment increased from 75% (sufficient) to 100% (very good), and the student aspect assessment increased from 75% (sufficient) to 100% (very good). In addition, the average narrative text writing skills of students also increased from 63.15% (needs guidance) in cycle I to 95.11% (very good) in cycle II, so it can be concluded that the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning strategy is effective in improving the descriptive text writing skills of grade III students of SDN 16 Air Tawar Timur, Padang City.

Abstract

Educational technology promotes digital media use, yet Indonesian language learning in elementary schools remains conventional, making students less focused and easily bored. Smart TV use is also limited by inadequate facilities, unstable internet, and teachers’ low technological competence.This study aims to analyze the use of Smart TV as a learning media in Indonesian language learning at elementary school and to examine its impact on students’ learning activities at SDN 23 Parit Rantang. The study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students who were directly involved in the use of Smart TV in the learning process. Data were collected through observation and interviews, while data analysis used an interactive analysis model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of Smart TV helps teachers deliver Indonesian language learning materials in a more engaging way through videos, images, and digital texts, making students more active and able to understand the material more easily. The use of Smart TV also increases students’ interest, motivation, and concentration in learning. However, several obstacles were found, such as limited facilities, unstable internet connection, and teachers’ limited ability to use technology optimally. Therefore, teacher training and adequate infrastructure support are needed to optimize the use of Smart TV in learning. This study concludes that Smart TV has the potential to become an effective learning media to improve the quality of Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop narrative writing teaching materials based on the Brainwriting model and comic media for fourth grade elementary school students using the Plomp development model. The development process consisted of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The preliminary research stage was conducted through needs analysis, curriculum analysis, and student characteristic analysis. The prototyping phase included designing, developing, validating, and revising the teaching materials through formative evaluation. The assessment phase was carried out to determine the practicality and effectiveness of the developed teaching materials. The research subjects consisted of fourth grade elementary school students and teachers in Padang City. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the teaching materials developed were categorized as valid based on expert validation, practical based on teacher and student responses, and effective in improving students’ narrative writing skills. Therefore, the teaching materials based on the Brainwriting model and comic media are suitable for use in learning narrative writing in elementary schools.
