Abstract

The aim of this study is to reduce distribution costs at SPX Express Serang Branch by applying the transportation method. The main challenge faced by the company is the high shipping costs, caused by the suboptimal arrangement of distribution routes from the warehouse to the drop centers. The data used includes the capacity of three shipping warehouses, namely Kaligandu, Lopang, and Ciruas, as well as the demand from three drop centers, namely Kasemen, Walantaka, and Curug, along with the transportation costs for each route. This study applies the North West Corner, Least Cost, and Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM) to determine the initial solution, which is then optimized using the Modi and Stepping Stone methods with the assistance of the AtoZmath Transportation Calculator. From the calculations, the North West Corner method resulted in a cost of Rp 5,014,000, the Least Cost method yielded Rp 5,059,000, while the VAM method produced a result of Rp 4,450,000, making VAM the most optimal initial solution. After optimization using the Modi and Stepping Stone methods, the lowest distribution cost obtained was 3,360. These results indicate that the application of transportation methods can significantly reduce distribution costs and improve efficiency in the delivery system at SPX Express Serang Branch.   Keywords: Distribution Cost, Transportation Method, SPX Express, VAM, Optimization   Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi biaya distribusi di SPX Express Cabang Serang dengan penerapan metode transportasi. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh perusahaan adalah tingginya biaya pengiriman, yang disebabkan oleh pengaturan rute distribusi dari gudang ke drop center yang masih belum maksimal. Data yang digunakan mencakup kapasitas dari tiga gudang pengiriman yaitu Kaligandu, Lopang, dan Ciruas, serta permintaan dari tiga drop center, yaitu Kasemen, Walantaka, dan Curug, bersama dengan biaya transportasi dari setiap rutenya. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode North West Corner, Least Cost, dan Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM) untuk menentukan solusi awal, yang selanjutnya dioptimalkan dengan menggunakan metode Modi dan Stepping Stone dengan bantuan AtoZmath Transportation Calculator. Dari hasil perhitungan, metode North West Corner menghasilkan biaya sebesar Rp 5.014.000, metode Least Cost menghasilkan Rp 5.059.000, sementara metode VAM memberikan hasil sebesar Rp 4. 450.000, yang menjadikan VAM sebagai solusi awal paling optimal. Setelah optimasi dengan metode Modi dan Stepping Stone, diperoleh biaya distribusi terendah sebesar 3.360. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode transportasi dapat secara signifikan mengurangi biaya distribusi serta meningkatkan efisiensi dalam sistem pengiriman di SPX Express Cabang Serang.   Kata kunci: Biaya Distribusi, Metode Transportasi, SPX Express, VAM, Optimasi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile and needs of teachers in learning to write science literacy-based explanatory texts at Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Cianjur, Jawa Barat. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected via an online questionnaire distributed to 19 Indonesian language teachers. The questionnaire instrument consisted of closed and open questions covering respondents' identity, teaching experience, learning challenges, and needs for teaching materials. The results show that most teachers, with varying teaching experience, have taught explanatory texts. However, learning still predominantly focuses on mechanical aspects and has not been optimally integrated with elements of science literacy. Conventional textbooks are still the primary source of learning, while utilizing digital media and contextual materials is minimal. Teachers also expressed the need for teaching materials linking text structures with scientific understanding relevant to students' lives. In addition, training for teachers in integrating science literacy into writing instruction is urgently needed. These findings confirm the importance of developing science literacy-based writing e-modules to solve classroom learning challenges and improve students' critical thinking, information literacy, and writing skills in a contextual and meaningful way.

Abstract

Perguruan tinggi memiliki peran penting dalam menyiapkan calon guru yang memiliki kompetensi pedagogik yang memadai, termasuk kemampuan menerapkan teaching techniques yang efektif dalam pembelajaran EFL. Namun, masih ditemukan keterbatasan pemahaman mahasiswa calon guru dalam mengaitkan teori teknik pengajaran dengan praktik pembelajaran di kelas. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik calon guru EFL melalui kegiatan guest lecture bertema Teaching Techniques in EFL. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa semester 5 Universitas Panca Sakti Bekasi melalui metode ceramah interaktif dan diskusi. Evaluasi capaian dilakukan melalui observasi partisipasi, diskusi, dan refleksi peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap berbagai teaching techniques, tingginya partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi, serta meningkatnya antusiasme peserta selama kegiatan berlangsung. Mahasiswa juga mampu mengidentifikasi teknik pengajaran yang relevan dengan tujuan pembelajaran, karakteristik siswa, dan konteks kelas EFL. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam memperkuat kompetensi pedagogik calon guru serta menjadi alternatif strategi pengabdian yang efektif dalam menjembatani kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Research on Islamic thought in the Malay world has been shaped through a gradual and contextual historical process, involving a dynamic interaction between Islamic teachings, local cultural traditions, and social developments. The moderation, adaptability, and accommodativeness of Malay Islamic thought provide a distinctive intellectual identity compared to Islamic thought traditions in other regions. This article aims to examine the basic patterns of Islamic thought development in the Malay world and analyze its implications for Islamic education management practices. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method through a critical review of primary and secondary sources relevant to the study of Islamic thought and Islamic education in the Malay world. The research findings indicate that Malay Islamic thought developed through an integrative pattern between Islamic values ​​and local culture, strengthening the Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah tradition, and a moderate attitude in responding to the dynamics of modernization. This pattern has direct implications for Islamic education management, particularly in the development of educational leadership, curriculum design, and institutional governance that emphasizes the principles of moderation, balance, and sustainability.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of digital religious communication in Aqidah Akhlak learning to strengthen students’ religious attitudes at MI Plus Al Mahmud Blitar. The rapid growth of digital media has transformed teacher–student interactions in Islamic education, requiring pedagogical strategies that integrate technological innovation with value-oriented instruction. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving Aqidah Akhlak teachers and students engaged in digital-based learning. The findings reveal that digital religious communication serves as a transformative pedagogical medium that enhances student engagement, spiritual awareness, and moral understanding. Teachers utilize digital platforms such as interactive videos, online discussions, and digital storytelling to internalize Islamic values in ways that resonate with students’ digital lifestyles. The study concludes that integrating digital technology in Aqidah Akhlak learning is not merely a technical adaptation, but a form of spiritual pedagogical transformation that connects traditional Islamic values with contemporary digital contexts. These findings highlight the need for continuous teacher professional development in digital pedagogy to reinforce the effectiveness of Islamic education in the digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak usia 5-6 tahun di Taman Kanak-kanak Tunas Bangsa Desa Bagan Limau Kecamatan Ukui Kabupaten Pelalawan. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model Kurt Lewin (perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, refleksi) dilaksanakan di kelas B TK Tunas Bangsa pada April-Mei 2025, melibatkan 14 anak. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes kinerja, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan metode bernyanyi dengan kartu huruf dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca awal anak. Hasil awal menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak mulai menunjukkan ketertarikan, keinginan untuk bernyanyi dengan kartu huruf, dan menjadi lebih kohesif, menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih ceria dan tertib. Berdasarkan analisis data, tindakan yang dilakukan peneliti menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan. Kondisi awal sebelum tindakan menunjukkan persentase rata-rata kelas sebesar 36,35 %. Pada Siklus I pertemuan 1 persentase meningkat menjadi 40,43 %, Siklus I pertemuan 2 meningkat 45,79% dan pada Siklus II pertemuan 1 terjadi peningkatan yang sangat signifikan mencapai 71,43 %, selanjutnya pada Siklus II pertemuan 2 yang menunjukkan tercapainya ketuntasan klasikal yaitu 85,71 %. Ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode bernyanyi dengan kartu huruf efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak usia 5-6 tahun

Abstract

An example of a review of the novel Laut Bercerita (https://www.brainacademy.id/blog/con) is available on social media. This novel by Laila S. Chodiri was published in 2017 and is 394 pages thick. The structure of the novel review is: identity, orientation, synopsis, analysis, and evaluation. This study aims to describe the categories of students’ perceptions of the quality of the review text of the novel Laut Bercerita published on social media at the link https://www.brainacademy.id/blog/con. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method conducted in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Arts Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The population of this study was third-semester students who submitted a Google Form-based questionnaire. They numbered 69 students divided into two parallel classes. This study used a total sample. Data on students’ perceptions of the quality of the review text of the novel Laut Bercerita were collected using a Google Form-based questionnaire compiled following systematic and objective procedures. A checklist was used to validate both collected and analyzed data. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, namely mean and percentage, based on frequency distribution. The results showed that students' perceptions of the quality of the novel review text Laut Bercerita were categorized as high. This category indicates that there was no distortion of perception because objectively, many of the novel review texts did not meet objective aspects. However, 4 out of 10 statements were categorized as low.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low attention paid to the development of emotional literacy in elementary school students in learning, which has so far been dominated by cognitive aspects. In fact, the ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions is an important part of 21st-century competencies. The use of folklore as a learning medium rich in moral and emotional values has not been optimally developed in the form of interactive digital media integrated with an emotional self-regulation approach. This indicates a gap between the potential of learning resources based on local wisdom and the needs of modern learning. This study aims to develop a folklore-based flipbook media with an Emotional Self-Regulation approach and to test its feasibility and effectiveness in students' emotional literacy. The study used the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fourth-grade students of Trikarsa Elementary School, Bandung. Data collection techniques were carried out through expert validation, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and pretests and posttests. The results showed that the developed flipbook media received a very feasible category based on the assessment of media experts (97.08%) and material experts (82.3%), and was feasible according to literary experts (64.3%). The implementation results showed an increase in students' emotional literacy from 82.2% in the pretest to 90.7% in the posttest, a 9% increase. These findings confirm that folktale-based flipbooks with an Emotional Self-Regulation approach are effective in improving students' emotional literacy. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of digital interactive media, local wisdom, and an Emotional Self-Regulation approach in a single learning design. The implications of this research indicate that innovative media based on local culture can be an alternative strategy in supporting holistic learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Cerita Seharuk as Komering folklore by examining its social function, cultural value, and narrative context in East OKU Regency. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-interpretative method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with two informants consisting of Komering people and the author of the book Cerita Seharuk, as well as through documentation and observation of performances in cultural activities. Data analysis was carried out using reduction, categorization, and symbolic interpretation techniques. The results of the study show that Cerita Seharuk has a social function as a means of entertainment, moral education, traditional validation, and social control. The cultural values contained therein include obedience to parents, hard work, ingenuity, solidarity, simplicity, and religiosity, which reflect the Komering community's outlook on life. The context of storytelling has undergone a transformation from the domestic sphere of the family to the realm of education and formal cultural activities, demonstrating the dynamic and adaptive nature of folklore in response to the changing times. Theoretically, this research reinforces the study of folklore as a cultural text that not only records social values and functions but also plays a role in maintaining the sustainability of local cultural identity through storytelling practices that continue to undergo transformation. Practically, these findings can form the basis for the development of digital-based media for the preservation of Komering folklore.
