Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out how Islamic education is related to science and technology (IPTEK). Science and Technology provides a strong knowledge base for understanding the universe and developing technology that is beneficial to humans. In contrast, Islamic education instills moral, ethical and spiritual principles that shape an individual's personality. Apart from that, schools teach the use of science and technology in accordance with religious beliefs. The aim of this research is to show how these two fields work together and benefit each other. The integration of science and technology (IPTEK) with Islamic education offers various significant opportunities to improve the quality of education, research, as well as creating sustainable solutions and building strong character. The use of modern technology in the learning process can enrich learning material, make it more interactive, and provide access to a wider range of educational resources. In addition, research based on Islamic ethical principles ensures that technological innovation is not only oriented towards economic benefits but also takes into account human and moral values. Therefore, the integration of science and technology and Islamic education allows for a balanced education system where technological and scientific progress can be balanced with the application of moral and ethical values. This will produce students who can make positive contributions to society and their environment.

Abstract

The operational structure and funding of education is an important component in educational administration management which has the capacity to have a significant impact on the quality of human resources. This study intends to ensure the following: (1) Plan the budget in order to improve educational standards; (2) allocate human resources for the purposes of managing education financing; (3) implementing education financing management; and (4) supervising the education financing system in order to improve standards at SDIT AL FATIH Depok. Qualitative, analytical and descriptive methods were used in this study. Documentation, interviews and observation are the techniques used to obtain data. Data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are the four components of Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model used in the data analysis approach. Credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability are used in the process of determining data validity. The findings show the following: 1) SDIT AL FATIH Depok prepares and describes education budget planning in the form of RAPBPT, which is implemented at the end of each year by identifying all appropriate programs and budgets. 1) The process of allocating funds for education starts from the source, where the head of the foundation decides on the choices that have been reached through meetings involving stakeholders from the school community and repeats the assessment. Putting human resources in charge of overseeing the money is secondary. The principal is responsible for the financial management of SDIT AL FATIH Depok, in accordance with the organizational structure; The foundation and education department oversee the management of SDIT AL FATIH Depok's education funds. 3. The budget implementation process is used to fund school programs, as well as spending on goods and services, development, and so on. 4. After that, the School Committee, the AL FATIH Depok Foundation, and the Education Office received the school's financial accountability report.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools and educational institutions play an important role in maintaining and passing on Islamic religious values, culture, and traditional values. They also play an important role in shaping the character, morals and spirituality of society. However, they face many challenges in the complex modern world. This research investigates the problems faced by Pesantren and Islamic education institutions in Indonesia. It does so by using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis. The study shows that Pesantren greatly help overcome poverty, strengthen brotherhood, lower unemployment rates, and combat ignorance. However, they also face many challenges, such as the dynamics of modernization and globalization that often conflict with their traditional values, limited resources and infrastructure, and the difficulty of integrating modern education curriculum with traditional religious education. Pesantren have a strategic position to address social issues, but they face problems such as limited resources and curriculum integration. Curriculum improvements and enhanced educational methodologies are needed to achieve this. Pesantren should increase general subjects, strengthen research activities, improve soft skills, and cooperate with other educational institutions.

Abstract

Islamic education was crucial in fostering a robust Islamic culture during the Khulafaur Rashidin era (11-40 AH/632-661 AD). The caliphs, including Abu Bakr Ash-Shiddiq, Umar bin Khattab, Uthman bin Affan, and Ali bin Abi Talib, continued the Prophet's purpose of spreading Islam, strengthening faith, and building a just and civilised society. The Hadith and the Quran are the main sources of knowledge, covering topics like as religion, ethics, legal concepts, and the Arabic language. Mosques often incorporate teaching methods like as examples, discussions, lectures, and question and answer sessions. This study employs a qualitative methodology that focuses on historical and descriptive analysis. The data were gathered by conducting a comprehensive review of primary and secondary sources pertaining to the Khulafaur Rashidin era. The historical documents underwent interpretation and critical evaluation, while the perspectives of historians were compared. The caliphs systematised the Quran, implemented a structured administrative framework, and facilitated the spread of education to additional regions such as Persia, Egypt, and Sham. The institutionalisation of education commenced with the advent of madrasas and kuttabs. Education not only emphasised religion but also incorporated diverse fields to cultivate an enlightened and virtuous society. The education system established during the period of the Khulafaur Rashidin played a crucial role in the future advancement of Islamic education. It produced a generation of Muslims who were well-equipped to confront the problems of their era and make valuable contributions to human civilization. The current state of Islamic education demonstrates that the integration of religious principles and scientific knowledge may cultivate persons with robust moral character and exceptional abilities.

Abstract

Understanding the history and dynamics of Islamic education and making effective policies in the future are necessary for the advancement of Islamic education in Indonesia, from classical to modern times. Pesantren became the centre of religious learning and knowledge in the past, shaping Indonesia's religious and cultural identity. The transformation of Islamic education experiences challenges such as limited access and quality of education issues and is influenced by modernisation, globalisation and technological advances today. This research uses the literature method and a qualitative approach by collecting data from various sources, such as books, journals and digital sources. This allows for a more in-depth understanding of the historical development and tracking of progress. Islamic education is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the times while maintaining the core values of Islam. To improve Islamic education, it requires strengthening educational institutions, improving teachers' capacity, developing relevant curricula, co-operation between institutions, government, and society, and greater public participation.

Abstract

One of the aspects of Islam that Indonesians broadly and positively embrace is traditional Islamic educational philosophy. The Qur'an and Sunnah remain the foundation of modern Islamic educational philosophy, enabling Muslims to remain faithful to the source of their ageless teachings while also embracing a more technologically advanced era. Though science and technology form the foundation of the modern idea, the traditional ideas of tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib remain applicable. Nonetheless, the importance of religious education has diminished from its historical perspective. First, the Islamic perspective on science and technology is developed, followed by the idea or system of Islamic education as a whole, in the quest for a new paradigm in education

Abstract

Multiculturalism is the acknowledgment and admiration of the variety of cultures present in a society. Islamic education that embraces multiculturalism imparts Islamic principles while also fostering respect and admiration for diverse cultures and religions. Multiculturalism is crucial for fostering cohesion and concord among religious groupings. The primary objective of multicultural education in Islam is to establish an all-encompassing educational setting where each student is esteemed and embraced, irrespective of their religion or cultural heritage. The multicultural method in Islamic education integrates global concepts, such as tolerance, justice, and peace, into the curriculum. This is accomplished by comprehending and valuing disparities through explicit teaching, collective deliberations, and engaging exercises. Furthermore, Islamic intercultural education places significant emphasis on the value of interfaith discourse as a means to enhance interfaith relations and eradicate preconceptions and prejudices. The implementation of multicultural education within the context of Islam encounters numerous obstacles. One of the criticisms comes from individuals who contend that education should be limited to a select group and uniform in nature. Proper implementation and dedication from all stakeholders can significantly contribute to the development of a more inclusive and harmonious society through multicultural Islamic education. Hence, implementing multicultural education in Islam is a prudent approach to foster cultural comprehension and foster tranquilly and concord in an ever more heterogeneous community.
