Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the characteristics of social, emotional, and moral development in elementary school children, and (2) the implications of children's social, emotional, and moral development on the formation of social attitudes in elementary school children. The research method used in this study is literature. The results showed that the characteristics of social, emotional, and moral development of elementary school children were aware of the social roles, religion, race, and socioeconomic status of their peers, accepted cultural stereotypes, and adult attitudes towards their status, thus creating group awareness in their social environment. These characteristics will persist until late childhood and will continue until they are adults if educators provide a stimulus in continuing their mature developmental tasks. The stimulus is in the form of guidance, direction, and providing a good and healthy socio-cultural environment in social, emotional, and moral development so that it has implications for the formation of good social attitudes. For children's socialization skills to improve, the task of educators is to guide and direct them to learn to accept and carry out responsibilities, learn to compete with others, learn good social behavior, learn to work together, learn from adults, and learn with peers, learn to adapt themselves with group standards, learn to play to develop physical, learn to share, and learn sportsmanship. The most important thing is good parenting from parents as the first madrasa for children informing children with noble character as a form of good social attitude in society.

Abstract

The Baduy people are known as one of the indigenous groups in Indonesia that uphold their traditions and culture, including in the arts. The arts of the Baduy people are not only a means of aesthetic expression, but also reflect philosophical, spiritual values, and local wisdom that are passed down from generation to generation. This article aims to examine various forms of traditional arts of the Baduy people, such as weaving, weaving, and ritual arts, and the meanings contained therein. In the context of modernization and globalization, Baduy arts face major challenges, including in terms of preservation and commercialization. Through a qualitative approach with literature study methods and field observations, this study found that the arts of the Baduy people not only function as a cultural identity, but also as a medium to maintain harmonious relations between humans, nature, and the Creator. In addition, the results of the study show that the Baduy people continue to strive to maintain the authenticity of their arts despite facing changing times. This article recommends strengthening cultural preservation strategies through local education and the development of sustainable culture-based tourism. Thus, the traditional arts of the Baduy people can continue to live and develop, while providing inspiration for modern society.

Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini membahas tentang model pendidikan kewarganegaraan di sekolah menengah berlandaskan kepada dasar filosofisnya sehingga menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan disiplin keilmuan PKn. Tujuan utama pendidikan kewarganegaraan adalah untuk membentuk warga negara yang bertanggung jawab, peduli terhadap masyarakat, memiliki pengetahuan tentang hak dan kewajiban sebagai warga negara, serta mampu berpartisipasi aktif dalam kehidupan demokratis. Model konseptual pendidikan kewarganegaraan yang dijelaskan dalam artikel ini didasarkan pada landasan filosofis yang kuat. Landasan filosofis ini meliputi prinsip-prinsip moral, etika, dan nilai-nilai dasar yang diperlukan untuk membentuk warga negara yang baik. Model ini juga mencakup komponen-komponen seperti kurikulum, metode pengajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Dalam konteks sekolah menengah, pendidikan kewarganegaraan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang sistem politik, hukum, dan pemerintahan negara. Selain itu, pendidikan kewarganegaraan juga dapat membantu siswa memahami perbedaan budaya, agama, dan nilai-nilai yang ada dalam masyarakat. Pendidikan kewarganegaraan di sekolah menengah juga dapat membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan sosial, seperti kerjasama, komunikasi, dan kepemimpinan. Melalui pendidikan kewarganegaraan, siswa diajarkan tentang pentingnya menghormati perbedaan, memahami perspektif orang lain, dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Dalam artikel ini, model konseptual pendidikan kewarganegaraan berdasarkan landasan filosofis dijelaskan secara rinci dengan tujuan untuk memberikan panduan bagi pengembangan mata pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan yang efektif di sekolah menengah. Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Design and Development (D&D) dengan model ADDIE untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) berbasis social inquiry yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ecoliteracy siswa fase C di sekolah dasar. Pengembangan bahan ajar ini meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Ahli melakukan validasi terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan hasil 88,78%, yang menunjukkan kualitas yang sangat baik. Uji coba implementasi selanjutnya memvalidasi keefektifannya, dengan peningkatan skor ecoliteracy siswa dari rata-rata pre-test 52 menjadi rata-rata post-test 87,1. Pendekatan inovatif ini menawarkan implikasi yang menjanjikan bagi para pendidik yang ingin mengintegrasikan ecoliteracy ke dalam metode pengajaran mereka, mendorong peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa tentang isu-isu lingkungan serta partisipasi dalam tindakan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This article discusses the students' social science learning motivation through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model for elementary school students of 023 Pulau Kijang. The research design used was quasi-experimental research. The research was conducted on the fifth-grade students of SD 023 Pulau Kijang, in the academic year of 2010/2020 with a number of 45 students. This classroom action research was conducted through four stages, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research consisted of 2 cycles, the first and second cycle. Each cycle consisted of action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection to be continued to the next cycle. Whilst the data analysis technique used was quantitative statistical analysis to analyze data regarding teachers’ and students’ activities that would be observed. The results indicated that by applying the CTL model, it could provide students with social science learning motivation based on the process and students’ learning outcomes in social science learning subjects for class IV. It was clear that the social science learning process before the implementation of the CTL model has an average percentage level of 70.29 Meanwhile, after the implementation of the CTL model for class V, there was a significant average percentage of 85,59. It showed that the CTL learning model provided better motivation for the students in the learning process.
