Abstract

Penggunaan modul ajar berbentuk cetakan fisik masih sering digunakan di beberapa lembaga pendidikan formal utamanya di lembaga pendidikan yang berada di lingkungan pesantren dengan pembatasan penggunaan ponsel dan internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati pemanfaatan modul cetak sebagai media pembelajaran melalui kebijakan pembatasan penggunaan ponsel dan internet untuk mewujudkan pembelajaran yang bermakna bagi peserta didik di MTs Nurul Huda Singosari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan dan didapatkan dari tiga sumber utama yakni pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengamatan dilakukan kepada kelas VII MTs Nurul Huda Singosari dengan jumlah 24 peserta didik. Wawancara dilakukan kepada pendidik yang mengampu mata pelajaran bahasa Arab. Dokumentasi dilakukan dengan mengkaji muatan-muatan dan kerangka ajar pada LKPD (modul ajar) yang digunakan yakni terbitan Bupin 4.0. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidik memanfaatkan modul ajar sebagai acuan dalam proses pembelajaran, setiap peserta didik diberikan kesempatan untuk mempraktikkan muatan materi dalam modul ajar dalam bentuk percakapan dan mengerjakan soal secara mandiri, pendidik berperan untuk mengoreksi ketika ada yang kurang tepat, 20 dari 24 peserta didik terbukti dapat fokus dan aktif mengikuti instruksi serta dapat memahami pelajaran dengan baik melalui forum tanya jawab, unjuk kerja, presentasi, dan pengerjaan soal.

Abstract

Among the technology products that are widely used in education, especially Arabic language learning, are YouTube and Wordwall. This is what is applied in Arabic language learning at MAN 2 Yogyakarta. This paper aims to reveal how the combination of YouTube and Wordwall in Arabic language learning that is seen from the perspective of teachers and students. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach and case study type. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Yogyakarta with the research subjects were Arabic language teachers and students in class X-H. The data were collected through classroom observation and interview methods. From the data obtained, it is known that the utilization of YouTube and Wordwall in Arabic learning in class X-H MAN 2 Yogyakarta is carried out within the framework of introducing new mufradat starting from providing stimulants in the form of songs to vocabulary mastery exercises. In the series of using these two media, the advantages and disadvantages based on the perspectives of Arabic language teachers and students are also revealed. Some of the shortcomings have been realized from the beginning by Arabic teachers and strategic efforts have been made to overcome them.

Abstract

This research discusses YouTube video animation as a learning medium how the utilization of YouTube video animation as a learning medium in improving the Arabic vocabulary of class IV students of MIS Bina Santri Medan. Given the important role of media in supporting the success of the process and the achievement of expected learning outcomes, teachers should fully understand it as an integral part of the learning process in madrasah and is one aspect that must be of concern to teachers. The approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods were conducted through interviews, observations and documentation through class IV teachers of MIS Bina Santri Medan. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman method, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that using YouTube animated videos in vocabulary learning made it easier for teachers to convey material to students. Learning activities become more active, interesting and interactive so as to foster student motivation and interest in learning and have a positive impact on student vocabulary mastery. Audio visual media is very effective in learning at the MI level because in addition to cognitive it is also a stimulus for students' psychomotor.

Abstract

Background: This research is motivated by the importance of innovation in learning evaluation media, especially in improving the quality of the Maharah Al Kitabah evaluation at Mutiara Al Madani Islamic Junior High School. So far, the evaluation methods used are still conventional and less able to arouse students' interest in learning. Based on observations and interviews with Arabic language teachers, it is known that the Wordwall application has been utilized as an alternative evaluation media that is more interesting and interactive. Purpose: This research aims to describe the utilization of Wordwall application as an evaluation media for Maharah Al Kitabah. Method: This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data sources consisted of Arabic teachers and learning activities in class VIII. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, while the data were collected through participatory observation and semi-structured interviews. The instruments used were observation guidelines and interview guidelines. The data analysis procedure followed the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results and Discussion: The results showed that the use of Wordwall helped teachers in preparing varied and fun evaluations and was able to increased student involvement in the learning process of Maharah Al Kitabah. This research also fills the gap related to the lack of utilisation of digital media in Arabic learning evaluation. Conclusions and Implications: In conclusion, Wordwall is effectively used as an evaluation medium for Maharah Al Kitabah and has a positive impact on students' learning process. The implication is that teachers need to continue to develop the utilisation of digital media in learning evaluation and become a reference for further research in the field of Arabic language education.

Abstract

This article explores the development of Arab civilization with a focus on historical traces and challenges faced in the era of globalization. Through historical and sociological studies, this research traces the contribution of the Arab people to science, philosophy and art, which reached its peak during the Abbasid era. The cultural and social transformations that occurred after the era of colonialism are also reviewed, including how Arabs adapted to modernity while maintaining their cultural identity. Globalization has had a significant impact on contemporary Arab civilization, especially in terms of the influence of technology, media and global mobility. The main challenges faced are maintaining traditional values amidst rapid changes and redefining cultural identity in the Arab diaspora. With a qualitative approach based on literature review and document analysis, this research highlights the efforts of Arab society in preserving cultural heritage while aligning didi with the demands of the digital era. This article concludes that, despite facing various challenges, Arab civilization has great potential to continue to contribute to the global realm, provided a strong cultural identity is maintained. It is hoped that these findings will provide insight into the dynamics of Arab civilization and its relevance for civilization studies in the modern era.

Abstract

The low proficiency in Arabic speaking skills among students at Al-Ghuraba Islamic Boarding School, Dompu, presents a significant challenge in language learning processes. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the role-playing method on enhancing students' Arabic speaking skills. A quantitative approach was applied, employing a pre-experimental design of the one-group pretest-posttest type. Data were collected by examining the correlation between pretest and posttest scores following the intervention. The analysis revealed a very high correlation value of 0.86, indicating a significant impact of the role-playing method on speaking skill improvement. These findings suggest that the role-playing method fosters a more active and communicative learning environment, while also boosting students’ confidence in practical Arabic usage. The study highlights the need for broader application of the role-playing method to support the development of Arabic speaking skills within Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the management of the institution, especially the Assalam Arabic Course (AAC) program based on the Principle of Total Quality Management. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research type. While the results of this study are: 1) the focus of the AAC program users are students of the KMI Assalam Islamic Boarding School, 2) Leadership in the AAC program is led by the AAC Supervisor and below him there is a Responsible Person (Head of the AAC Program), 3) Involvement of human resources involving all aspects of the institution including teachers, students, and principals including parents, 4) The AAC Program approach is one approach to achieving the mission of the Islamic Boarding School, 5) Decisions based on evidence of the AAC Program based on evaluation and existing curriculum, and 6) Management relationships that adopt books from the Darussalam Gontor Islamic Boarding School and also the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Language Sciences (LIPIA).

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology, especially through social media such as Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, has brought significant influence on the Arabic language. This study aims to examine the role of social media in generating new meanings in Arabic through linguistic phenomena such as neologisms, word meaning changes, as well as the use of creative local dialects. Using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, data is collected from new terms that appear on social media and supported by related academic literature. The results showed that social media became an important medium in the birth of new vocabulary such as hashtag, influencer, and selfie, as well as meaning changes in traditional words such as viral and visually appealing. This phenomenon reflects the linguistic creativity of the younger generation, the influence of globalization, and the dynamics of Arabic language adaptation to digital culture. However, the massive influx of foreign terms also poses a challenge to the preservation of classical Arabic. This study confirms that social media acts as a major agent in the evolution of contemporary Arabic.

Abstract

Translation is needed as a tool to make it easier to understand a language called a dictionary. At present we can find that dictionaries are not only in printed form, but along with the sophistication of technology, digital dictionary innovations have emerged. The digital dictionary plays an important role in the process of someone understanding a language from its speakers, and as a technological tool in the form of an application and has many roles in the learning process. This research is included in descriptive research with a qualitative approach, and using library research techniques is the step of the researcher in collecting data on the digital Arabic dictionary application. While data analysis is a narrative study on "digital dictionary applications". The results of this study indicate that the problem of the accuracy of truth in electronic dictionaries in Arabic must be a common concern because dictionaries are positioned as learning resources and references for students. The digital dictionary plays an important role in a person's process of understanding a language from its speakers, and as a technological tool. The Arabic translation method consists of a word-by-word translation method, a literal translation method, and a Tasharruf translation method. Students also look for and match the meaning of Arabic words to Indonesian in a good and easy-to-understand arrangement.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach integrated with the Educaplay platform in enhancing students’ academic performance in Arabic language learning at SMP Insan Amanah Malang. A quantitative method was employed using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The research subjects consisted of all seventh-grade students, specifically classes VII-A and VII-B. Class VII-A was designated as the experimental group receiving the intervention, while class VII-B served as the control group. Data were collected through observations and written assessments to measure Arabic learning outcomes in both groups. The data analysis involved prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. The findings revealed a significant impact of implementing the CTL model supported by Educaplay on students’ academic achievement. This was confirmed by the hypothesis test result, showing an Asymp Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.019, which is below the 0.05 significance threshold. Consequently, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average pre-test score for the experimental group was 73.8462, while the control group scored 74.2308. After the intervention, the experimental group's average score increased to 86.1538, whereas the control group reached only 75. This discrepancy highlights the superior academic performance of students who received the specialized treatment. Based on this evidence, it can be concluded that integrating the CTL approach with the interactive Educaplay media contributes positively to improving students’ Arabic learning outcomes. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai sejauh mana pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang dipadukan dengan platform Educaplay dapat meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di SMP Insan Amanah Malang. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen dan model kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari seluruh siswa kelas VII, yaitu kelas VII-A dan VII-B. Kelas VII-A ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang mendapatkan perlakuan, sementara kelas VII-B berperan sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi serta tes tertulis untuk menilai hasil belajar bahasa Arab di kedua kelompok. Data dianalisis melalui uji prasyarat dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model CTL yang didukung oleh Educaplay berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui uji hipotesis yang menghasilkan nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001, lebih kecil dari nilai signifikansi 0,05, sehingga hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Berdasarkan analisis statistik deskriptif, rata-rata skor pretes siswa di kelompok eksperimen adalah 65,09, sementara kelompok kontrol memperoleh skor 70,90. Setelah perlakuan, skor rata-rata kelompok eksperimen meningkat menjadi 84,31, sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya mencapai 73,43. Perbedaan ini menegaskan bahwa siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan CTL dan Educaplay menunjukkan hasil akademik yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggabungan pendekatan CTL dengan media interaktif Educaplay memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar bahasa Arab siswa.
