Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of hedonic shopping motivation and flash sale strategies on the buying interest of Shopee consumers among students at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA). The development of digital technology has transformed consumption patterns, particularly in online shopping, with Shopee emerging as one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Southeast Asia. Hedonic shopping motivation, which refers to the pleasure and emotional satisfaction derived from shopping, along with flash sale strategies offering significant discounts for a limited time, are hypothesized to significantly influence buying interest. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 70 UMLA students who actively shop on Shopee, particularly during flash sale events. Sampling techniques included purposive sampling and accidental sampling, with data analysis conducted using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that hedonic shopping motivation (X1) and flash sales (X2) significantly affect buying interest (Y), with regression coefficients of 0.418 (Sig. 0.000) and 0.574 (Sig. 0.000), respectively. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.692 suggests that these two variables contribute 69.2% to buying interest, while the remaining 30.8% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. The research instruments were reliable (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.6), and the data were normally distributed (Asymp. Sig. 0.085 > 0.05). These findings highlight the importance of considering consumer psychological aspects and promotional strategies in e-commerce marketing, particularly for the student segment. This study provides empirical contributions to the development of Shopee's marketing strategies and the literature on consumer behavior in the context of online shopping in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study focuses on efforts to develop students’ religious character through habituation methods at UPT SD Negeri 2 Kepanjenlor, Blitar City. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive design with a case study approach. Data were collected from the school principal, teachers, students, and various supporting school documents. The data collection process involved in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the development of students’ religious character at the school is carried out through routine and structured habituation activities, such as daily prayers, recitation of Asmaul Husna, congregational dhuha and dzuhur prayers, tahfidz activities, and the Bank Central Akhirat (BCA) social program. In addition, the school also organizes religious activities including Ramadan boarding programs, Isra’ Mi’raj commemorations, religious study sessions, donations to orphans, and Qur’an completion ceremonies. All of these programs are integrated with school policies, such as Character Education Strengthening (PPK), the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), and SERENADA (Religious, Nationalist, and Cultured School). The habituation method is considered effective in shaping students’ religious character because it is implemented consistently, systematically, and supported by teacher role models as well as parental involvement.

Abstract

Introduction: Environmental health remains a problem, particularly regarding access to drinking water in developing countries. This study aimed to examine the correlation of household characteristics and drinking water sources in urban communities in Nigeria. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using data from the Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS), with 42,859 urban household members. The variables used were drinking water sources, sex and age of household head, education level, wealth index, religion, relationship to household head, presence of children under five, and household size. Data were analyzed using descriptive, bivariate, and logistic regression analyses. Results and Discussion: The majority of households (88.13%) used improved drinking water sources. Older, more educated, wealthier, and smaller households, including female-headed households and households without small children, have better access to clean water. The wealth index was the strongest predictor: middle, richer, and richest households were significantly less likely to use untreated water than the poorest households (p < 0.001). Older household heads were less likely to rely on untreated water (p < 0.05). Secondary-level education, religion, and household size were also significant (p < 0.001). These results highlight inequalities in accessing safe water, influenced by economic, demographic, and cultural factors. Conclusion: These results suggest focused solutions to support younger household heads, make water systems more affordable, and reach disadvantaged neighborhoods. Pro-poor water policies and equitable infrastructure are key to reducing disparities in access to clean drinking water

Abstract

Anti-corruption education is widely promoted to foster integrity; however, it is often framed as a normative transmission of values, overlooking how students actively participate in shaping ethical practices. This study addresses this gap by examining student roles in Islamic anti-corruption education within a primary school. This qualitative case study was conducted at Muhammadiyah Kayen Condong catur Elementary School, Yogyakarta, involving 28 students, the principal, and two ISMUBA teachers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model to identify patterns of student engagement. The findings show that anti-corruption values are enacted through daily religious practices and school routines rather than formal instruction alone. Students demonstrate a clear distinction between responsibility as procedural compliance and amanah as a spiritually grounded obligation. Importantly, students act as peer monitors who actively regulate dishonest behavior, supported by habituation mechanisms such as the honesty canteen and structured worship activities. This study conceptualizes anti-corruption education as a participatory and practice-based process, highlighting student agency in sustaining school integrity culture and offering insights for designing context-sensitive character education in faith-based schools.

Abstract

Corruption remains a crucial issue in Indonesia that requires preventive measures through education, starting with elementary school. Although many studies discuss the inclusion of anti-corruption values, analysis of the pedagogical process of internalizing these values in daily practice is still limited. This qualitative case study aims to analyze the mechanisms of internalizing the values of honesty (shiddiq), justice ('adalah), responsibility (amanah), and caring through Al-Islam learning at Muhammadiyah Kayen Condongcatur Elementary School, Yogyakarta. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of the principal, teachers, and students, then analyzed using an interactive model. The results show that the internalization of values takes place in an integrated educational ecosystem, not through a single strategy. The process includes integration into learning and school culture, role modeling, habituation, verbal persuasive approaches (advice, ibrah, and amtsal), and strengthening discipline through supervision, educational sanctions, and rewards. These findings confirm that a religious school environment supports the contextual and sustainable internalization of anti-corruption values. The novelty of this research lies in its holistic analysis of the mechanism of internalizing Islamic social ethical values that are fully integrated with the school ecosystem, contributing to the development of anti-corruption education and character education models in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the real challenges faced by primary school teachers, such as low teaching motivation, the use of monotonous learning methods, and limited mastery of information technology. Furthermore, the implementation of conventional academic supervision often fails to provide a significant impact due to a lack of effective follow-up in encouraging independent professional development. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation stages of coaching techniques in academic supervision, identify implementation challenges, and evaluate its impact on teacher performance at SDN Ranggeh and SDN Gayam, Gondangwetan District, Pasuruan Regency. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants consisting of principals, school supervisors, as well as senior and junior teachers. Additionally, secondary data were obtained through observation and documentation related to the planning and results of academic supervision. Data analysis was conducted systematically through the processes of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to ensure the validity of the findings. The expected result of this research is the realization of a collaborative coaching-based academic supervision model using the TIRTA (Goal, Identification, Action Plan, Responsibility) and GROW (Goal, Reality, Options, Will) models. The implementation of this approach is expected to enhance teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies, foster internal motivation, and encourage learning innovations that directly impact the improvement of educational quality and student character in schools.
