Abstract

Management of supply chain that interrelates and integrates both consumers and suppliers in a process to make a value of product or service for consumers is very importance and strategic as well. The research objective is to analyze and improve the sustainability performance of production process and distribution flow of the teak seedling production within its supply chain. This research used multiple dimensional analysis and value stream mapping to identify the sustainability performance and analytical network process to find the key factors that improve the SCM performance of superior teak production. The research found that 1) the Parameter influencing SCM is supplier and therefore it requires system improvement. The problem is that the delivery of materials purchased in Surabaya takes too long time before they are stored in the warehouse. Placing a purchase order long time beforehand may apparently solve the problem. But in fact, it creates another problem because the materials are not to be stored in the warehouse for a long time due to their short expiry date and due to the limited infrastructures like warehouse and roads. SCM values on the production system of superior teak seedling production of BPPT located in Jatisari area is 56.62 with a quite high category. Based on the leverage analysis, the most dominating SCM components are waiting factor at the value of 2.71; overproduction at 2.30 and inventory at 2.25, 2) Based on the ANP analysis, the research found a position map of SCM components at the stress value of 3.411% meaning that it is an Excellent model suitability while the index of fit (R) is at 94.673% meaning it meets the appropriateness. Transportation process consists of transportation of auxiliary material of seedling production, travel of seedlings from nurseries to adapting areas, and distribution of seedlings. Slow supply of consumables required for seedling production process due to long distance between the production areas and supplier sites will cause delayed delivery of goods particularly of those that are not scheduled because of special cases. Abstract

Tuna is one of the flagship export commodity from Indonesia which has special characteristics such as high perishable food and has a complex supply chain network. According to the characteristics, the potency of deterioration and cross contamination along the chain will be a challenge for every actor in tuna supply chain, to provide tuna product with the best quality and safe to consume. One of the tool to ensure the standard safety and quality is doing traceability system along tuna supply chain. It is very crucial because every actor in chain has a responsibility to ensure food safety and quality through handling, manufacturing, packaging, and transporting the product. The critical point that should be covered by traceability system in tuna supply chain includes temperature, content of histamine, quantity of TPC, and contents of bacterial pathogens like Salmonella, and the sanitation for workers, equipment and processing room. The Information Technology (IT) based tuna traceability system is proposed and discussed in this paper to optimizing the traceability system in tuna supply chain. This paper discusses the development of a traceability system architecture and prototype for tuna supply chains. The developed system prototype shows the functional capabilities required for backward and forward tracing of tuna fish transformation and movement along the chain involving many actors (from fishing vessels to retailers). The system also permits the monitoring of processes and products based on microbiological analysis and on existing SOPs owned by some actors in a a tuna supply chain. The implementation issues are also described in this paper.

Abstract

ABSTRACTGreen Logistic is a form of logistics model which takes into account the social and environmental aspects, in addition to the functional and economical aspects. The objectives of this research were to design a structural model of rubber agro-industrial green logistic, SIR 20 (Standard Indonesian Rubber 20) process logistic and design of product packaging of SIR 20 produced by crumb rubber agroindustry. This research was using system approach which was supported by ISM (Interpretive Structural Modeling), Green VSM (Value Stream Mapping) and Fuzzy Green QFD (Quality Function Deployment) techniques. The results of ISM analysis showed that in the objectives elements of green logistic model was key elements, which were reduce the environmental impacts of rubber agro-industrial business process, improve the quality of packaging design appropriate to consumer expectations and environmentally friendly, as well as increase institutional performance in the implementation of objectives achievement of the green logistics system. The results of Green VSM analysis showed that by improving the quality of raw material for rubber slab (bokar) can improve the energy usage efficiency by 11%, water usage by 25% and processing time by 2%, therefore the productivity of raw material use increases from 54% to 67%. The analysis results of SIR 20 packaging those consumers want, and environmentally friendly were ease factors in packaging SIR products, green packaging materials, ease of assembly process and packaging quality. Metal packaging material was suggested due to the ease in packaging SIR products and recyclable, while the main weakness was less energy efficient. Abstract

In palm oil supply chain (POSC) the investment and operational risk levels between the actors may not be proportionately rewarded by the same levels of added value. However, each actor will attempt to obtain the highest reward. In this study the authors designed a model to simulate the interaction and negotiation behaviors of the actors, and to facilitate optimum distribution of the added value, while considering the successive investment and operational risk levels. Agent-based modeling approach was used for this purpose as it provided the best means to identify and study the supply chain actors (or agents) behaviors. Netlogo software was used to develop the program. This study is important because the model can facilitate further development of various formula to calculate the fair distribution of added value among the actors, therefore ensure the supply chain sustainability. The result of this study indicated that the negotiation between all actors in POSC need to consider overall supply chain sustainability while conducting pairwise negotiation, otherwise the supply chain continuity may be endangered.
