Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of certification and motivation on teacher’s performance. The location of this research was carried out at a public high school in the Kayuagung District. This type of research is quantitative research with a research design using an ex post facto research design. The sample in this study was a total of all teachers in public high schools in the Kayuagung District, consisting of 87 teachers. data collection technique using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques, and multiple regression. The results of this study state that 1) there is a significant influence between school teacher’s certification on the performance of public high school teachers in the Kayuagung District; 2) there is a significant influence between motivation on the performance of State Senior High School teachers in the Kayuagung District; 3) there is a significant effect of teacher’s certification and motivation together on the performance of teachers in public high schools in the Kayuagung District. These results suggest that the higher the qualification of a certified teacher, the higher the performance. Then, motivation within the teacher will have an impact on teacher’s performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principal supervision and teacher work motivation on the work discipline of high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District. This type of research is quantitative research with a research design using an ex post facto research design. The sample in this study was a total of all high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District, consisting of 96 teachers. data collection technique using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques, and multiple regression. The results of this study state that 1) there is a significant effect of the supervision of school principals on the work discipline of high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District; 2) there is a significant effect of teacher work motivation on the work discipline of high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District; 3) there is a jointly significant effect of the supervision of the principal and work motivation on the work discipline of high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and describe: (1) The Leadership role of the principal in increasing early childhood creativity activities; (2) Steps to achieve the goal of increasing the creativity of early childhood; (3) Supporting and inhibiting factors for early childhood creativity. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study is an interactive model analysis technique with data analysis procedures covering three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing, and verified through data validity techniques by triangulation. The results of this study concluded that in carrying out activities to increase the creativity of early childhood in Pertiwi Indralaya Kindergarten, the leadership role of the school principal and good cooperation from teachers and student guardians cannot be separated. The inhibiting factors of creative activities are inadequate infrastructure and the curriculum used is still using curriculum 2013.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of school principals in increasing teacher motivation an overview of teacher work motivation and strategies for the role of school principals in increasing teacher motivation. The research method used is a qualitative with the research location at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Indralaya Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. Data collection techniques by interview observation and documentation, with data analysis techniques in the form of data redundancy, data/display presentation, and conclusions. The results obtained in this study indicate that the role of the principal as a motivator in optimizing teacher performance is good because and several indicators have been carried out a lot, while the indicators are paying attention to a neat and clean work environment, providing seminars/training meetings, discipline, encouragement of awards, and provision of learning resources or media. The teacher’s work performance is quite good, because of several indicators, namely preparing lesson plans, managing learning activities, holding interpersonal relationships, conducting assessments and mastering academic studies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe strategies for improving school management performance at SMK Negeri 2 Kayuagung. Data collection tools using interviews, documentation, observation and literature review. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis with research stages referring to Miles and Huberman’s theory, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of the study stated that the principal’s strategy at SMK Negeri 2 Kayuagung in improving management performance through the planning sector, the organizing sector, the implementation sector and the supervision sector at SMK Negeri 2 Kayuagung. The obstacles faced in improving school management performance are in the implementation sector of improving the quality of learning and increasing teacher competence at SMK Negeri 2 Kayuagung. Solutions to some of the obstacles include 1) carrying out continuous coaching and training of teachers, supervising, evaluating and providing directions for improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the principal’s strategy for improving the quality of teacher teaching at SD Negeri 11 Indralaya. This research used the descriptive-qualitative method. Data collection was carried out using interview and observation techniques, including data analysis techniques. For data validity using the method of triangulation. Data samples in this study are principals, vice principals, and teachers. The results showed that (1) the principal’s strategy in improving the quality of teacher teaching carried out by the principal of SD Negeri 11 Indralaya (a) provided laptop facilities as learning media (b) provided opportunities for teachers to attend training seminars outside (c) provided internet facilities (d) following the rules; (2) the obstacles faced by the principal regarding the low level of teacher professionalism of the teacher himself; (3) the solution faced by the principal of SD Negeri 11 Indralaya in overcoming the obstacles to improving the quality of teacher teaching is to entrust full responsibility to several teachers who are less effective.

This type of research is quantitative research with a research design using an ex post facto research design. The sample in this study is a total of all SMK teachers in Mesuji District. consisting of 100 teachers. Data collection technique using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques, and multiple regression. The results of this study state that 1) there is a significant effect of Principal Academic Supervision on the performance of SMK teachers in Mesuji District; 2) there is a significant effect of the work environment on the performance of SMK teachers in Mesuji District; 3) there is a jointly significant effect of the Principal's Academic Supervision and the work environment on the performance of SMK teachers in Mesuji District.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education through culture-based discipline in school rules at SMP Negeri 4 Kayuagung. Data collection tools using interviews, documentation, observation and literature review. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis with research stages referring to Miles and Huberman’s theory, namely (1) collecting data, (2) data reduction; (3) data presentation; (4) conclusion. The results of the study stated that the implementation of character education through a culture of discipline carrying out discipline at SMP Negeri 4 Kayuagung was carried out in 3 stages, namely (1) Implementation of character education through the preparation of rules and regulations at SMP Negeri 4 Kayuagungyang; (2) Implementation of character education through the implementation of school rules; (3) Evaluation of the implementation of discipline at SMP Negeri 4 Kayuagung. Broadly speaking, the obstacles faced come from family factors, school environmental factors, and community environmental factors.

Abstract

This research aims to know and examine: (1) The effect of digital literacy on teacher performance; (2) The effect of motivation on teacher performance; and (3) The effect of digital literacy and motivation together on teacher performance. This research is quantitative research with an ex post facto approach. This research was conducted in public and private junior high schools in Ilir Timur 1 Palembang District with a population of 240 teachers, and a random sample of 150 people was taken. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The validity test uses construction validity and content validity, while the reliability test uses Cronbach’s Alpha. The analysis requirements test uses normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test, and the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results showed that digital literacy, motivation, and teacher performance can still be said to be sufficient, there is a positive and significant influence between digital literacy and motivation together on teacher performance by 65.2% while 34.8% is determined by other factors not mentioned in this study.

Abstract

The study was a qualitative descriptive study that employed field observations and interviewing as data-collecting approaches. The purpose of this study was to determine how a head of school’s leadership affected teachers’ performance in 13 Koba State SD. The head of the school is a key figure in the institution, especially in terms of enacting the school’s vision and mission. Teachers have a crucial role in guiding students’ talents, interests, and skills in the advancement of science through classroom learning activities. The educational, professional, personal, and social skills of a teacher can be used to assess student achievement. The State SD 13 Koba suggests that to increase the existing human resources (SDA), through career development for teachers through training or educational seminars, since the role of the head of school has a significant impact on teacher's performance.
