Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang pelaksanaan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbinguntuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 20 Palu yang berlangsung dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 20 Palu dalam menemukan rumus keliling dan luas daerah segitiga dari siklus I ke siklus II dengan enam tahap yaitu : 1) stimulasi,2)perumusan masalah,3) pengumpulan data, 4) pemrosesan data, 5) verifikasi dan 6)generalisasi. Berdasarkan indikator keberhasilan, guru telahdapat menimbulkan ketertarikan siswa untuk menemukan rumus keliling dan luas daerah segitiga, serta dapat mengajukan pertanyaan yang membuat siswa membangun sendiri pengetahuannya berdasarkan teori konstruktivisme. Siswa juga telah mencapai indikator keberhasilannya yaitu siswa sudah saling membantu untuk menemukan rumus keliling dan luas daerah segitiga pada LKS. Selain itu, siswa sudah mampu menemukan sendiri rumus keliling dan luas daerah segitiga. Secara keseluruhan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model penemuan terbimbing dapat mengaktifkan siswa serta membangun cara berpikirnya sendiri. Kata kunci: penemuan terbimbing; peningkatan kemampuan; keliling segitiga; luas daerah segitiga Abstract:This study aims to describe the implementation of guided discovery learning model to improve the ability of students of class VIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu that wereconducted in 2 cycles. The result shows that learning process with the application of guided discovery learning could improve the students of class VIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu abilities to find out the perimeter and surface area of triangle formulas from the first cycle to second cyclein six level, which were: 1) stimulation, 2) problem statement, 3) data collection, 4) data processing 5) verification,and 6) generalization. Based on success indicator, teacher had been able to attract students interestto find out the perimeter and surface area of triangle formulas, able to ask questions that helped students built their knowledge based on constructivism theory. In addition, students also had achieved success indicator in which they could help each other to findout the perimeter and surface area of triangle formulas on LKS. Moreover, students had been able tofind out the perimeter and surface area of triangle formulas. In overall, learning process by using guided discovery model couldmake students become more activealso build their own way of thinking. Abstract

Pelatihan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah penerapan salah satu model dalam pembelajaran matematika, yaitu model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing. Model ini diwajibkan dalam Kurikulum 2013. Melalui model ini diharapkan siswa menemukan sendiri konsep-konsep matematika khususnya luas bangun datar, sehingga ilmu tersebut tidak hanya dihafal tapi di pahami dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdian melakukan kegiatan ini dengan tujuan untuk membantu guru-guru SD di KKG Gugus I kecamatan Sirenja kabupaten Donggala dalam penerapan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing sesuai amanat Kurikulum 2013. Model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing yang disimulasikan oleh tim Pengabdian, yaitu menemukan luas bangun datar yang meliputi: persegi, persegi panjang, segitiga, jajargenjang, belahketupat, trapesium dan lingkaran. Penerapan model ini menggunakan karton sebagai alat peraga, yang dapat dibentuk menjadi bangun datar. Berdasarkan hasil angket, diperoleh: 45,83% guru menyatakan sangat setuju bahwa materi tentang Model Pembelajaran Penemuan Terbimbing yang disampaikan, memberikan pemahaman yang baik tentang langkah-langkah pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing, dan 54,17% guru menyatakan setuju. Selain itu, 54,17% guru menyatakan sangat setuju bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran PenemuanTerbimbing pada materi menemukan luas bangun datar yang disimulasikan, dapat menumbuhkan motivasi dan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran, serta menciptakan pembelajaran yang tidak hanya menghafal rumus luas tetapi mampu menemukan rumus tersebut, dan 45,83% guru menyatakan setuju.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of students’ errors in solving trigonometry in class X Science Program 6 SMA Negeri 5 Palu based on mathematical ability. The errors in this study were divided into three according to Kastolan’s Errors theory, namely concept errors, procedural errors and technical errors. This research was conducted descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 2 students, namely 1 student with high mathematical ability and 1 student with low mathematical ability. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Data were collected by means of test and interviews. Data analysis technique in this study are data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion. The result showed that: (1) Subject with high mathematics ability did not make concept error, but made procedural error and technical error in solving trigonometry question. (2) Subject with low mathematics ability made conceptual errors and procedural errors, but did not make technical errors in solving trigonometry question.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain a description of the mathematical communication ability profile of MAN SIGI students in solving sathematical problems in view of visual learning style. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were students of class XII IPA 1 MAN SIGI who had a visual learning style. Characteristics of the visual learning style are the ability to remember information seen and prefer reading to listening to other people's explanations. Determining the subject in this research, prospective researchers gave a learning style questionnaire consisting of 10 questions, and each question had 3 choices: a, b, c. If a student most dominantly chose a, then the student had a visual learning style; if a student most dominantly chose b, then the student has an auditory learning style; if a student chooses a lot of c's, then the student has a kinesthetic learning style. Based on the results of the questionnaire, 1 student was selected with a visual learning style. If there were several students who had a visual learning style, the researcher discussed with the study teacher about students who had good communication skills and students who received information easily. Data was collected through written tests and interviews. The results of this research showed that the subjects with a visual learning style are able to write down and explain well all the information obtained from the questions.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that uses a qualitative approach aims to obtain a description of the problem solving ability of two variable linear aquation system of grade VIII students of GPID Sumbersari Christian Junior High School in terms of cognitive style based on Polya's steps. Subjects in this study consisted of 4 students, namely subject FIt (selected students who are FI cognitive style from the GEFT test results which fall into the high FI category), Subject FIs (selected students who are FI cognitive style from the GEFT test results which fall into the medium FI category), FDs (selected students who are FD cognitive style from the GEFT test results which fall into the medium FD category) and subject FDr (selected students who are FD cognitive style from the GEFT test results which fall into the low FD category). The instruments in this study are GEFT test, problem solving ability test of two variable linear aquation system, and interview guidelines. The results showed that the problem solving ability of FI cognitive style subjects is better than FD cognitive style subjects. Where, the problem solving ability of two variable linear equation system of FI cognitive style subject that is FIt subject has been in accordance with the four stages of Polya by giving the correct conclusion and FIs subject has also been in accordance with the stage of understanding the problem and planning problem solving however, there is a calculation error at the stage of implementing the problem solving plan and at the stage of re-examining the answer the conclusion obtained is wrong. Meanwhile, the problem solving ability of the two variable linear equation system of FD cognitive style subjects, namely FDs and FDr subjects even though they are in accordance with the stage of understanding the problem, and planning problem solving. However, at the stage of performing the problem solving plan is incomplete and at the stage of checking the answer the conclusion obtained is wrong.
