Abstract

The globalization of educational development through science and technology in the current era is moving so fast and great. Moreover, with the presence of the industrial revolution era 4.0 and welcoming the era of society 5.0. Globally, education on an international scale is generally based on the concept of enriching knowledge, honing independence and developing students' soft and hard skills. Likewise, with Islamic boarding schools, with their independence, they will become autonomous educational institutions, both from the learning system and funding. So how Islamic boarding schools manage their finances, including the strategies used to raise funds to continue the educational process in Islamic boarding schools. In the early stages of education in Islamic boarding schools, it was focused solely on teaching religious knowledge through classical books or the yellow book. Religious sciences consisting of various branches are taught in Islamic boarding schools in the form of wetonan, sorogan, memorization, or muzakarah. However, after the introduction of the ideas of reforming Islamic thought to Indonesia, this also influenced changes in the Islamic education system in Islamic boarding schools. Islamic boarding school education, which was initially only oriented towards deepening religious knowledge, began to include general subjects. It is hoped that the inclusion of general subjects will broaden the thinking horizons of the students and better prepare the students to face developments in the times.

Abstract

This paper delves deeply into the analysis of cognitive ability concerning creativity in the era of digitalization. Creativity involves a series of complex cognitive processes, including associative thinking, problem-solving, memory, and decision-making. The brain's ability to process information efficiently and in various ways plays a significant role in creativity. Objective national conditions, global challenges, technological challenges, and the use of technology, such as artificial intelligence, often involve ethical issues that can affect creativity, especially in the current era of digitalization. Therefore, the relationship between cognitive ability and creativity is very close, and they mutually influence each other in various aspects. Creativity often involves the ability to process information effectively. Cognitive functions, such as attention, memory, and problem-solving, play a crucial role in processing the information needed to create new ideas. The integration of human cognitive skills and technological capabilities can create a strong combination to enhance creativity. Creativity arising from the understanding and wise utilization of technology can bring significant innovation. By combining cognitive potential and digital tools, individuals can explore creative spaces and address the challenges that arise in the era of digitalization.

Abstract

Every educational institution, especially Madrasah Aliayah, has its own journey. Just as living creatures go through various phases, such as establishment, revival, and development. There are even private Madrasah Aliyah that eventually dissolve. Organizational culture is one of the significant contributing factors to the progress or decline of educational institutions. The cultural dimension is both abstract and factual, ranging from beliefs, embraced values, basic assumptions, to artifacts. An organization that survives in competition is guaranteed to have a strong organizational culture, whereas stagnant or declining organizations always correlate with weak organizational culture. This not only happens in profit organizations but also in non-profit organizations, including educational institutions. Therefore, building a strong organizational culture is an important agenda for educational institutions. An educational institution with a strong organizational culture will automatically give birth to various contemporary educational innovations as a manifestation of adaptation to the changing times.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate how climate change is influencing the risks within the tuna fishing sector in Indonesia. Changes in the environment, like increasing sea temperatures and shifting ocean currents, have impacted the movement and migration patterns of tuna, directly impacting the industry sustainability. The significance of this study lies in the pressing necessity to comprehend the ways in which climate change is impacting the risks encountered by businesses operating in the tuna fishing industry. This research aims to assess the risks that tuna fishing businesses encounter as a result of climate change and to determine how they affect the company's stock value. To conduct this research, a panel data evaluation approach was employed using seven publicly traded companies engaged in the tuna industry as sample subjects. The data used was sourced from company filings with the Indonesia Stock Exchange and capital market figures from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The research utilizes an Altman Z Score model to evaluate the financial health and risk of bankruptcy of a company by incorporating dummy variables associated with increasing sea temperatures into its analysis. This study aims to offer policymakers evidence-based guidance regarding the consequences of different management strategies for addressing climate fluctuations. Furthermore, the research underscores the significance of taking factors into account when managing financial risks, especially in ensuring the long-term viability of the tuna fishing sector. The uniqueness of this study is found in its approach of merging financial risk analysis with risk assessment methods by utilizing a model that integrates both biological and economic elements to offer a holistic framework for decision-making within the sustainable fisheries sector.

Abstract

This study analyzes the value chain in small and medium-sized fishery enterprises across several Indonesian provinces (Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bali, South Sulawesi, and West Sumatra). To fully comprehend the value chain in the fishing industry, it is essential to answer the research problems of the pattern identification of the capture fish value chain, and the implementation of the business process in the capture fish industry. It identifies challenges and opportunities within the value chain, particularly regarding resource access, regulation, transportation, and financial impacts. The research employs a comprehensive value chain analysis, utilizing the Business Model Canvas approach. Primary and secondary data were gathered through interviews and analyzing external data sources. It was done from May to November 2023 involving 50 seafood restaurant owners and 110 fishermen in five provinces. The analysis was conducted using panel data methods with robustness tests performed to ensure the validity of the results The study finds significant operational challenges in maintaining the quality and quantity of fresh fish, inefficiencies in various stages of the value chain, and potential areas for improvement in the captured fisheries business models of SMEs and the big firm. Abstract

The focus of this paper is on the implementation of Artificial Intelligence or artificial intelligence in improving the quality of learning. Artificial Intelligence is a process of modeling human thinking and designing a machine so that it can behave like a human or another term called cognitive tasks, namely how machines can learn automatically from data and information that has been programmed. The digital and dynamic nature of Artificial Intelligence also offers opportunities for user engagement that cannot be found in often out-of-date documents or in fixed environments. Artificial Intelligence will collect data from learning activities that have been carried out by users, and then will provide alternative learning solutions that suit user needs. Artificial Intelligence has the potential to encourage and accelerate the discovery of new learning boundaries and the creation of innovative technologies in learning, this is expected to improve the quality of learning.
