Abstract

The development of student worksheet for biology learning needs to be done so that the biology learning process can run more optimally. This study aims to identify the need for Project Based Learning (PjBL)-based student worksheet's with socioscientific content, which will be developed as teaching materials to support the optimization of biology learning, especially in the material on environmental change and conservation. The method used in this research is qualitative, with a descriptive approach. The subjects used were 35 students of class 10.E7 of State Senior High School number 2 Padang Panjang. Data collection was carried out in three ways, namely observation of the school, surveys of students, and in-depth interviews with teachers. The instruments used are questionnaires and interview sheets. Through data collection, the results showed that Project-based learning has been implemented. However, there is no student worksheet with a project-based learning model with socioscientific content, especially on the material of environmental change and preservation. Therefore, it is necessary to develop PjBL-based student worksheets with socioscientific content on the material of environmental change and preservation in the Senior High School E phase. Abstract

The 4D development methodology, which consists of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate, can be used to create LKPD based on PjBL-Socioscientific Issues with the topic of environmental change and conservation. The research carried out by Rahmawati has produced LKPD to the development stage, so further research is needed for the disseminate stage, one of which is through effectiveness testing. Quasy experiment is the method used in this study, with a pretest-postest control group as the design. The population taken in this study is all phase E students at SMAN 12 Padang. The samples were randomly selected, with class E5 being the experimental group while E2 being the control group. The data collected were in the form of test results of students' creative thinking skills, which were measured using a description test instrument that had been tested for validity and reliability. The Mann Whitney U Test and the N-gain Test were used as data analysis in this study. The results showed that the average creative thinking ability of students in the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the control class. The hypothesis test with the Mann Whitney U test yielded a significance value of 0.000. The results of the N-gain test in the experimental class were 55% in the medium category, while in the control class was 37% in the medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that the PJBL-Socioscientific Issues Based LKPD on environmental change and conservation materials improves the results of the creative thinking skills of phase E students of SMAN 12 Padang

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Fun Learning-oriented Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the One Stay Another Stray (OSAS) approach on students' written communication skills on the material of environmental change and conservation. The research was conducted in class XB 2 SMAIT Dar El Iman using a pre-experiment design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. Data obtained from pretest and posttest results were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene homogeneity test, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test hypothesis test, and N-Gain test. The results showed a significant increase in students' written communication skills after applying the Fun Learning OSAS-oriented PBL model. The average pretest score increased from 64 to 81 on the posttest, with a hypothesis test significance value of 0,000 (<0,05), which indicates a positive effect of the model on communication skills. The N-Gain test showed an average increase of 0,52 which is classified as moderate. All indicators of written communication, namely explaining objects, presenting data in tabular form, and making pictures or diagrams have increased.

Abstract

The development of LKPD for biology learning needs to be conducted so that the biology learning process can train students' critical thinking skills in problem-solving. This study aims to identify the needs for LKPD based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which will be developed as teaching materials to support students' critical thinking skills in biology learning, especially in the topic of biodiversity. The method used in this study is qualitative, with a descriptive approach. The subjects used were 30 students from class X MIPA 1 of State Senior High School 2 Sungai Limau. Data collection was conducted in two ways: observational surveys of students and interviews with teachers. Meanwhile, the instruments used were questionnaire sheets and interviews. Through data collection, it was found that learning based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) had not been implemented and there was no LKPD model of PBL-based learning, especially on biodiversity material. Therefore, it is necessary to develop LKPD based on PBL on biodiversity material for grade X of high school.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji efektivitas media pembelajaran asam basa terintegrasi Augmented Reality (AR) terhadap literasi digital siswa Fase F SMA. Penelitian menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest yang dilaksanakan pada satu kelas XI di SMA Negeri 5 Padang. pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel 25 siswa.. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket literasi digital, tes pilihan ganda dan lembar observasi guru. Data angket literasi digital diolah dengan menggunakan skala likert, data instrument tes pilihan ganda diolah dengan uji n-gain, normalitas dan hipotesis . Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh rata-rata skor literasi digital siswa mencapai 81,4% dengan nilai n-gain sebesar 0,703 yang berada pada kategori sedang, serta hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest (sig. < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis AR efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital siswa, terutama pada aspek akses digital, visualisasi informasi, dan literasi saintifik. Meskipun demikian, efektivitas media masih dipengaruhi oleh kesiapan perangkat teknologi dan pengawasan guru dalam penggunaannya. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi AR secara lebih luas dalam pembelajaran sains sebagai inovasi pedagogis untuk memperkuat kompetensi digital siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran berperan penting dalam memfasilitasi pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi ajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas media pembelajaran larutan penyangga terintegrasi Augmented Reality terhadap literasi digital peserta didik fase F SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Pre-Experimental Design dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest Design dimana popolasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari seluruh peserta didik kelas XI Fase F SMA Negeri 5 Padang semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu kelas eksperimen yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes, angket dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain dan uji-t untuk hasil tes, serta skala Likert untuk angket dan observasi. Hasil dari analisis tes hasil belajar diperoleh N-Gain sebesar 0,633 dalam kategori sedang dan pada uji-t diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar < 0,001, yang menandakan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan posttest. Selain itu, angket literasi digital peserta didik diperoleh sebesar 80,87% dengan kategori efektif. Berdasarkan analisis lembar observasi guru yang diperoleh menunjukkan rata-rata 87% dengan kategori sangat baik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran larutan penyangga terintegrasi Augmented Reality efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital serta mendukung proses pembelajaran yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi.

Abstract

Literacy is a crucial 21st-century skill aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), yet Indonesian students continue to face challenges, as reflected in PISA 2022 results. Ethnoscience, which integrates local wisdom into science education, offers a promising approach to address this issue. This study presents a systematic literature review of research published between 2014 to 2024 on the use of ethnoscience in science learning and its impact on student literacy. The findings indicate that ethnoscience has been widely applied, particularly at the high school level, through strategies such as project-based learning, inquiry, and STEAM. Ethnoscience contributes to improving scientific, environmental, and cultural literacy by contextualizing science learning and fostering engagement, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. This research synthesizes a decade of empirical evidence on ethnoscience integration in science education, maps the strategies employed, and examines their relationship with students’ literacy outcomes. The results suggest that ethnoscience provides a culturally grounded approach that can effectively support the development of science literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to develop PBI-based student worksheet to improve science literacy and critical thinking of high school grade X students. The research method uses the Plomp Research and Development (R&D) model which consists of initial investigation, design, and evaluation stages. Formative evaluation refers to the Tessmer model, including self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field test. The instruments used included validation sheets, response questionnaires, and science literacy ability tests. The subjects of the study were 29 students divided into experimental and control classes. The validation results showed that student worksheet was very valid (average score of 87.5%), practical (student and teacher response ≥85%), and effective in improving science literacy. The increase in science literacy gain score was 0.48 (experimental class) and 0.36 (control). The t-test showed significant differences between groups (p < 0.05). Thus, PBI-based student worksheet is suitable for use as a learning medium to improve students' 21st century skills.

Abstract

Pembelajaran biologi sebagai proses dapat memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk berinteraksi dengan menggunakan keterampilan proses sains. Keterampilan proses sains dapat dilatih dengan kegiatan praktikum. Praktikum dapat menunjang kegiatan proses belajar agar menemukan prinsip tertentu atau menjelaskan tentang prinsip-prinsip yang dikembangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan LKPD eksperimen pembuatan nata de pinnata berbasis proyek pemanfaatan air nira sebagai potensi lokal Payakumbuh pada materi inovasi bioteknologi fase E yang valid dan terbaca dengan baik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4-D (four-D models), yang dibatasi sampai tahap develop. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 2 orang dosen Departemen Biologi FMIPA UNP sebagai validator dari produk LKPD eksperimen dan 1 orang guru biologi SMA serta 35 orang peserta didik kelas X fase E SMAN 1 Suliki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LKPD eksperimen pembuatan nata de pinnata berbasis proyek yang dikembangkan telah mempunyai dengan nilai validitas sebesar 90,52% dengan kriteria sangat valid, serta nilai keterbacaan oleh guru sebesar 89,28% dan nilai keterbacaan dari peserta didik sebesar 89,66% dengan kriteria sama yaitu baik. Telah dihasilkan LKPD eksperimen pembuatan nata de pinnata berbasis proyek pemanfaatan air nira sebagai potensi lokal Payakumbuh pada materi inovasi bioteknologi fase E yang valid dan terbaca dengan baik.

Abstract

Hasil analisis awal keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik Fase E di SMAN 1 Pariangan menunjukkan penerapan model Problem Based Learning selama ini belum mampu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kurangnya bekal pengetahuan serta keaktifan peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penugasan mind map pada model Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik Fase E SMAN 1 Pariangan pada materi virus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar soal pretest-posttest dalam bentuk esai yang telah valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian diperoleh data nilai keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol. Uji paired sample t-test mendapatkan hasil bahwa penugasan mind map pada model PBL berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik fase E SMAN 1 Pariangan pada materi virus.
