Abstract

Abstract

In the food processing industry, such as various types of crackers, various fried peanuts and various other packaged foods, the durability and durability of these food products must of course be given great attention. One of the reasons why various foods are not durable and expire quickly is the high oil content contained in these various foods. Manually draining oil is certainly not effective for the production of various foods in large quantities on an industrial scale. For that we need a tool or machine that can drain and reduce the oil content that is still contained in these various foods. The machine used is honey sweet potato chip spinner machine. Tawangmangu Village, Tawangmangu District, Central Java is known as a tourist area which is located on the slopes of Mount Lawu with various kinds of tourist beauty presented. Tourists often come to enjoy the natural beauty of Tawangmangu which is also rich in natural products, one of which is sweet potato honey. However, local residents cannot maximize honey sweet potato as a special food which is used as souvenirs for tourists, so there is a need for an effort to engineer food processing made from honey sweet potato in the form of procurement and training of electric powered honey sweet potato chip spinner machines for Karang Taruna Orpega 02 (Organization Erlangga Youth) in the Tawangmangu Village, Central Java. At the time of implementation, Mitra's enthusiasm was very large to take part in a series of training events for making food slicer spinners. There were 20 members of the youth group who took part in a series of training activities.

Abstract

Introduction : The rate of cesarean deliveries in Indonesia continues to rise, particularly in major cities such as Surabaya, exceeding the 15% limit recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). The low rate of Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC) and the limited autonomy of women in choosing their mode of delivery highlight the need for a new approach. Midwifery Led Care is considered effective in reducing medical interventions and promoting a safe, natural birth experience. Objective : The purpose of this service was to increase women's knowledge about preparing for childbirth by promoting natural birth. Method : This public service was conducted by lectures and an analysis of knowledge changes was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests. The evaluation was carried out by comparing the results of the pre-tests and post-tests. Result : This community service activity demonstrated an increase in pregnant women's knowledge regarding childbirth preparation. Of the 10 participants, all of whom were pregnant in their third trimester, the majority had a high school education (70%). Based on pre- and post-test results, the level of knowledge increased from 80% to 100% after the intervention of education classes and prenatal exercises. These results demonstrate that structured and participatory health education is effective in improving pregnant women's readiness for childbirth, particularly in the context of implementing the concepts of Midwifery-Led Care and natural birth.

Abstract

Adolescent anemia is a public health problem requiring special attention. It is commonly caused by iron deficiency related to rapid growth, menstrual blood loss, poor nutritional intake, unhealthy dietary habits, and inadequate knowledge about iron-rich foods and anemia prevention. Low adherence to iron supplementation and frequent consumption of foods that inhibit iron absorption further increase risk. Evidence shows that 16% of 50 adolescents experienced anemia. Effective educational strategies are needed to improve knowledge and attitudes. Health education becomes more attractive for adolescents when delivered using game-based learning, such as Monopoly educational media. To determine the effectiveness of GEMARA (Monopoly Educational Game on Anemia) using the Health Belief Model approach in improving adolescents’ knowledge and attitudes toward anemia prevention. A quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted among 38 FORPIS PMI Yogyakarta members using total sampling. Intervention consisted of one session of health education using the GEMARA game with a peer-group approach. Data were collected with validated and reliable questionnaires adapted from previous studies (r > 0.361; Cronbach alpha > 0.70). Knowledge (numeric) and attitudes (ordinal) were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with SPSS 23. Knowledge improved significantly from fair (47.4%) and good (47.4%) to 76.3% good, with no poor category. Positive attitudes increased from 50% to 100%. Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test indicated significant improvement (p=0.000; p=0.002). This improvement was driven by interactive learning that increased engagement and motivation. GEMARA is effective in improving adolescents’ knowledge and attitudes toward anemia prevention through the Health Belief Model.

Abstract

The general election is a democratic process that is carried out in every country whose system of government is presidential, including Indonesia, which conducts it every five years. In fact, some people abstain, leading to budget wasting and missing target. Thus, it is very important to identify clusters of general election districts and map the number of voters to map the budget for the upcoming election. This process needs prediction to help reduce budgeting risk as an early warning. Based on the latest election data taken from Margokaton, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, many people voted in 2021, but the number of abstainers is high. In this case, cluster prediction is important to identify the election participants in each area. The K-Means algorithm could also predict abstainer areas in election activities to facilitate early mitigation in drafting election budgeting. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the pattern of voters in the election using the K-means algorithm. The data parameters comprised the list of voters, Unused ballot papers, and the sum of abstainers. This study is important because it contributes to reducing the election budget of each area. The data obtained from the Indonesia Ministry of Internal Affairs official website in 2021 were processed using the RapidMiner tool. The results showed more than 11% of the non-voters in cluster 1, 16% in Cluster 2, and 8% in cluster 3. The evaluation of clusters value is 2.04, indicating that the clustering using K-means is suitable, as shown by the DBI value close to 0. The results indicate that testing the cluster optimization of the K-Means algorithm using DBI is highly recommended. Based on this prediction result, the government needs special attention to clusters with many abstainers to decrease the number of abstainers and prevent overbudgeting. These results indicate the need to review the election participant data in 2024. Furthermore, there is a need for continuous socialization and education about election activities to reduce the number of abstainers and prevent overbudgeting.

Abstract

Rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and service automation have transformed operational models in the global hospitality industry. Hotels increasingly implement AI-powered technologies such as automated check-in systems, service robots, predictive analytics, and intelligent housekeeping tools to enhance efficiency, reduce labor costs, and improve service quality. However, AI adoption varies significantly across countries due to differences in digital readiness, cultural acceptance, workforce adaptability, and investment capacity. This study aims to examine how AI-powered automation influences hotel operational performance across countries with different levels of technological maturity. A comparative study across five countries examined operational metrics and managerial insights from 210 hotels. The findings reveal that AI adoption enhances operational performance across all countries, though to varying degrees. Hotels in high-adoption countries reported up to a 45% improvement in operational efficiency, while those in emerging economies achieved 18–25% gains, constrained mainly by infrastructural and organizational factors. The study concludes that AI-powered automation delivers substantial operational benefits, but its effectiveness depends on contextual factors, including digital infrastructure, investment capacity, and cultural acceptance. This research contributes to the hospitality management literature by offering one of the first empirical, multi-country models explaining differential AI performance outcomes and by providing strategic guidance for hotel managers planning AI integration across diverse markets.
