Abstract

Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan aplikasi Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) secara mendalam pada jenjang sekolah dasar (SD) di Kabupaten Malang dalam mendukung optimalisasi kurikulum Merdeka, menelaah permasalahan-permasalahan yang muncul serta mencari solusi pemecahannya. Desain penulisan artikel ini menggunakan studi kepustakaan dengan mengumpulkan informasi data dalam bentuk buku, jurnal, catatan, bacaan dengan mengunjungi website yang menyediakan berbagai informasi terkait PMM. Studi kepustakaan dilakukan untuk menghimpun data, mengelompokkan data, menyajikan data dan menganalisis keterkaitan data dalam mengambil kesimpulan. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa  keinginan untuk belajar mandiri bagi guru masih sangat rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari rendahnya hari belajar di PMM, rendahnya aksi nyata yang dilakukan, rendahnya pemanfaatan pelatihan mandiri, tingginya percobaan post tes, dan rendahnya antusias ikut webinar. Sehingga secara umum, penggunaan PMM di Kabupaten Malang masih belum maksimal dilihat dari beberapa indikator.  Permasalahan yang  terjadi dalam IKM dan penggunaan PMM, antara lain 1) motivasi untuk belajar mandiri bagi guru masih sangat rendah; 2) Guru maupun kepala sekolah belum mengoptimalkan penggunaan Platform Mengajar sebagai pendukung pergerakan kurikulum merdeka; 3) pola pikir yang salah/ miskonsepsi terkait memanfaatkan fitur Belajar Mandiri pada platform merdeka; 4) platform memerlukan akses akun belajar.id dan terdaftar di dapodik selama minimal dua tahun mengajar sehingga tidak semua guru dapat mengakses PMM. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan kegiatan optimalisasi Platform Merdeka Mengajar dengan cara: (1) Pembentukan komunitas di satuan pendidikan (2) Pendampingan lokakarya, (3) Mengadakan Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) yang salah satu kegiatannya adalah Pendampingan PMM secara intensif terhadap guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ideologi Tere Liye dalam novelnya yang berjudul Sesuk mengenai ibu bekerja dalam sudut pandang analisis wacana kritis. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori penalaran dialektis dalam analisis wacana kritis oleh Norman Fairclough. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat diskriminasi terhadap ibu bekerja dalam novel Sesuk melalui narasi-narasi yang digunakan oleh pengarang untuk menggambarkan sosok ibu bekerja. Bahkan, kekuasaan pengarang dalam novel ini juga tampak sangat mencolok dengan mematikan tokoh Ibu bekerja yang dianggap akan merusak generasi. Selanjutnya, secara teoretis, penelitian ini berimplikasi terhadap pengayaan kajian teori analisis wacana kritis Fairclough generasi baru dan secara praktis turut mengingatkan pembaca bahwa di dalam novel sekalipun setiap pengarang senantiasa memiliki ideologi yang disampaikan dan pembaca diharuskan jeli untuk memilah dan memilih konsep ideologi yang layak dijadikan contoh atau tidak. Discrimination against Working Mothers in the Novel Sesuk Tere Liye's Work: A Critical Discourse AnalysisThis study aims to describe the ideology of Tere Liye in his novel entitled Sesuk about working mothers from the point of view of critical discourse analysis. The theory used is the theory of dialectical reasoning in critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough. The results of the study show that there is discrimination to working mothers in the novel Sesuk through the narrations used by the author to describe the figure of working mothers. The author's power in this novel also looks very striking by turning off the working mother character who is considered to be detrimental to the generation. Furthermore, theoretically, this research has implications for enriching the study of the new generation of Fairclough's critical discourse analysis theory and practically, helping to remind readers that even in a novel, even though every author always has an ideology conveyed, the reader is required to be observant in sorting out and choosing ideological concepts that are worthy of being exemplary or not.

Abstract

This study explores euphemism in the language use of Indonesian migrant workers' children in Malaysia. Focusing on intercultural communication within Indonesian schools, it employs a qualitative case study approach with observational data collection. Results reveal diverse euphemistic forms (1) one-word substitutions, (2) circumlocution, (3) borrowing, (4) abbreviation, (5) hyperbole, and (6) figurative expression in Bugisness, Indonesian, English, and Malaysian. These euphemisms serve as linguistic politeness strategies for indirect speech acts in communication.

Abstract

The construction of the speeches of the four presidents lies at the complex intersection of sociohistorical practices, where the disciplines of psychology, political science, history, sociology, and anthropology were formed. The aim of this study was to analyze the corpus-based construction of the Indonesian Presidents’ speech at the UN. This research method used a descriptive approach. This type of qualitative research was oriented towards historical discourse analysis. This research data consisted of words, phrases, and sentences obtained from speeches by four Indonesian presidents at the UN. The data corpus of the four Indonesian presidents' speeches was obtained from the YouTube channel. The collection of corpus data in this research was carried out through observation to find out whether the videos of the four presidents' speeches were sound and complete. The available data corpus was analyzed based on Wodak's analysis of historical discourse (HDA). The research results indicated that the construction of the four Indonesian presidents’ speeches at the UN included the use of discursive strategies, namely argumentation and nomination. The findings of this research also showed that the argumentation strategy used topics that were divided into the past, present, and future. This topic refers to intrinsic topics in the form of reality, economy, justice, health and urgency, while extrinsic topics include reality, history, economics, threats, justice, health, and urgency. The nomination strategy found the use of personal deixis in the form of I, we, and us as identity markers in the Indonesian presidents’ speeches at the UN. The conclusion of this research indicated that the topic analysis and identity markers used by the four Indonesian presidents were different. This can be seen from the use of the number of words that appear in the four speech data corpus, which showed how the four presidents opened their talks and how they identified themselves, defined their countries, and described their attitudes.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the era of the fourth industrial revolution requires teachers to have good digital literacy competencies to present interactive, current, and adaptive learning. In line with this condition, this research aims to map prospective teachers’ digital literacy competency levels and explain the relationship between sub-areas of competency in digital literacy. The method used is quantitative, with validity testing using the reference value of item-total correlation, reliability testing using the reference value of Cronbach’s alpha, and normality testing using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The levels of prospective teachers’ digital literacy competencies are mapped through descriptive quantitative analysis. Then, the correlation between competency areas is analyzed using bivariate correlation tests. The results of this study show that the majority of prospective teachers, accounting for 72.32%, have a moderate level of digital literacy competencies with a digital literacy index of 3.67. The relationship between measured sub-areas of digital literacy competencies shows a positive relationship. Still, it does not indicate a substantial correlation, indicating that more than the high scores on the digital literacy index and information is needed to support the competence of prospective teachers in creating digital content. This research is beneficial for higher education institutions in improving the digital literacy skills of prospective teachers. To enhance the digital literacy competencies of prospective teachers from a moderate level to a high level, there is a need for programs that strengthen the collaborative and communication sub-areas of competencies and programs that enhance the data and information literacy sub-areas.

Abstract

The Indonesian government continues improving teachers’ readiness to implement the Kurikulum Merdeka. Teacher readiness plays an important role in supporting the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka. This study aims to examine teachers’ readiness to implement the Kurikulum Merdeka. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach. Data was mainly collected by distributing online questionnaires through the Whatsapp chat application. The questionnaire was used to collect data on teacher readiness in (1) understanding of The Kurikulum Merdeka policies, (2) understanding of curriculum structure, (3) understanding of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), (4) readiness to develop lesson plans, (5) readiness to deliver instruction, and (6) readiness to conduct instructional assessments. Forty Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teachers were involved as respondents. They were in-service teachers who were students of the Teacher Professional Education Study Program (PPG). They came from the provinces of East Java, South Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara, Southeast Sulawesi, West Java, South Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, and Bali. The data were analyzed using the quantitative descriptive method. The results showed that measuring the six key aspects of the Kurikulum Merdeka showed that teacher readiness was in the high category. However, some respondents still get a medium score in learning and assessment. So, the research respondents are sufficiently ready to implement the Kurikulum Merdeka but still need to improve their readiness for learning and assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the phenomenon of transitivity in Facebook statuses from a functional systemic linguistic perspective by Halliday. The research is of document study nature with a Functional Systemic Linguistics approach. Data was obtained through observation techniques, documentation techniques, and referential matching techniques derived from secondary data, namely Facebook statuses. The findings of this research indicate that clauses whose occurrences dominate over other clauses, such as material processes dominating over verbal, mental, behavioural, and relational processes. Furthermore, clauses that consistently appear in text production processes, such as phenomena, which have dominant occurrences compared to actors, goals, sensers, attributes, and scopes. Additionally, circumstances that dominate over other circumstances in the text include cause, which tends to dominate over matter, role, location, extent, and manner. The implications of this study impact the readers' understanding of the transitivity phenomenon in social media and enrich the literature for the development of discourse courses, critical discourse studies, and linguistics in general. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena ketransitifan dalam status Facebook: perspektif linguistik fungsional sistemik Halliday. Jenis penelitian studi dokumen dengan pendekatan Linguistik Fungsional Sistemik. Data diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, teknik dokumentasi, dan teknik padan referensial yang bersumber dari data sekunder yaitu status Facebook. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa klausa yang kemunculannya mendominasi klausa lain seperti proses material yang mendominasi proses verbal, proses mental, proses perilaku, dan proses relasional. Klausa selanjutnya yang selalu muncul dalam proses pemroduksian teks seperti phenomenon yang kemunculannya dominan dibandingkan dengan actor, goal, senser, attribute, dan scope. Kemudian, sirkumtans yang mendominasi sirkumtans lain dalam teks, yaitu cause yang cenderung mendominasi matter, role, location, extent, dan manner. Implikasi penelitian ini berdampak kepada pemahaman pembaca terhadap fenomena ketransitifan dalam media sosial serta memperkaya literatur untuk pengembangan mata kuliah wacana, studi wacana kritis, dan linguistik secara umum.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasikan bagaimana pemanfaatan media Wordwall dengan dukungan anagram dalam meningkatkan imajinasi dan keterampilan menulis teks fantasi di era digital. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi dan penjelasan yang komprehensif terkait penggunaan media Wordwall. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan, yang melibatkan pengumpulan materi penelitian dari berbagai sumber termasuk buku, jurnal ilmiah, literatur, dan publikasi lain yang dianggap relevan. Pendapat beberapa ahli menjadi dasar dalam mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan data yang dikumpulkan selama proses rincian. Variabel penelitian mencakup segala bentuk yang telah ditetapkan oleh peneliti untuk dianalisis, memastikan penelitian mencapai kedalaman pemahaman dan kesimpulan yang tepat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi, terutama melalui media Wordwall, dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pembelajaran, khususnya dalam meningkatkatkan imajinasi keterampilan menulis teks fantasi. Dengan bantuan Wordwall, pembelajaran menjadi lebih efisien dan membantu baik guru maupun siswa. Kesimpulan dari penulisan ini adalah pembaca dapat memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang berbagai media yang dapat digunakan untuk mengajar teks fantasi.

Abstract

The new phenomenon in linguistic studies makes pragmatics a prestigious study. One of the topics is presupposition. This research discusses the main problem of the construction of repetition speech flavour and the purpose of its use. This research needs to be done as an effort to review the pragmatic point of view that is present in language speech. The purpose of the research is focused on the explanatory analysis of the form of speech taste repetition on presupposition. Furthermore, the researcher conducted an explanation of the relationship between the use of repetition language style and the conception of speech control. The researcher used qualitative approach with content analysis method. The data collection technique is done by listening and note taking. The result shows that Denny Sumargo's speech taste in structural presupposition refers to repetitive language style. The phenomenon can be seen in the utterances that appear. Of the 47 presuppositions spoken, 33 of them are repetitive structural presuppositions. The use of the language style has a strong conceptual relationship with the social attributes of the interlocutor who suffers from paralysis. The purpose is to strengthen, emphasise, and change the mindset of the interlocutor to be able to have strength again in living a life that is inversely proportional to the previous situation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze conceptual metaphors in the lyrics of the song Mantra Jiwa by Aviwkila as a life motivation narrative through a cognitive linguistic approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This study identifies structural, ontological, and orientational metaphors and their contributions to building motivational narratives. The findings of the study reveal that the lyrics of the song Soul Mantra by Aviwkila use conceptual metaphors to arouse emotional and conceptual involvement, which fosters a motivational perspective. This study enriches the understanding of metaphorical language in popular music and its cognitive impact.
