Abstract

This study aims to identify cultural patterns and values in conceptual metaphors found in Nusantara fairy tales using a cognitive linguistic approach. This study was designed as a qualitative-descriptive study with a focus on analysing three main fairy tales that represent geographical diversity, namely Timun Mas from Java, Putri Mandalika from West Nusa Tenggara, and Malin Kundang from West Sumatra. The results of the analysis show that there are a total of 55 conceptual metaphors found in the three fairy tales. Structural metaphors dominate about fifty percent of all findings, followed by ontological and orientational metaphors. These metaphors serve as a means of transmitting cultural values that vary between regions, such as contextual wisdom in the western region, the values of collectivity and sacrifice in the central region, and an emphasis on social harmony and relationship with nature. These findings also reveal the mindset of the Indonesian people, who prioritise collectivity over individuality, as reflected in the metaphorical structure of fairy tales. The conclusion of this study confirms that Nusantara fairy tales are a medium rich in cultural cognition. Pedagogically, this study offers important implications for character education through a story-based moral education approach, where the metaphorical structure in fairy tales can serve as a cognitive scaffold for internalising moral values. Theoretically, this study also enriches the development of cognitive linguistics in the context of Indonesia's multicultural society.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the form of implementation of social inclusion-based services in the Republic Gubuk Community which is an association of Gubuk Baca in the Jabung area, Malang Regency. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative data analysis approach. data sources used primary and secondary data sources obtained through interviews, observation, and literature review. The results of the research show that the activities that are part of the program at the Gubuk Republik Community are a form of social inclusion-based library service which is in line with the concept of social inclusion-based library services developed by Utami and Prasetyo which describes several aspects, namely reading huts as facilitators in developing growth potential. economy, reading huts as a vehicle for problem-solving, reading huts as a center for community activities, and reading huts play an active role in the literacy movement through various activities such as BUMI Gubuk (Hut-Owned Enterprise), teaching thug, People's Campus, mobile library movement, and others. etc.

Abstract

The mobile library service at UPT Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Karno has shifted its focus from reaching public facilities to primarily serving schools. This transformation raises critical questions about how leadership influences policy implementation and how such orientation affects service inclusivity and public access. This study aims to analyze the role of leadership in shaping and implementing mobile library policies under institutional and resource constraints. Abstract

The Aceh Tsunami Oral History archive transcribes firsthand accounts from survivors of the December 26, 2004, tsunami, capturing their experiences as direct witnesses to the disaster. These narratives express emotions such as anxiety, panic, worry, distress, and disorientation. This frame of mind reflects the psychological turmoil faced during the earthquake and tsunami waves. This study focuses on expressive speech acts (ESAs), aiming to identify their types, strategies, and patterns in the oral history archive. A qualitative pragmatic approach was employed, with data collected through reading, recording, coding, tabulating, and categorizing. The process of data analysis followed five stages: description, selection, analysis, interpretation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that Aceh tsunami survivors used 22 types of ESAs, both direct and indirect. A number of 65 strategy patterns emerged from two primary strategies, shaping communication based on the survivors intended interlocutors. The expressions directed toward Allah, the one God, were dominant, featuring religious language and strong Islamic references. The use of hadih maja (Acehnese proverbs) was also identified, illustrating how the survivors speech acts integrate cultural and religious elements in their communication. The findings have inclusively presented the deep interconnection between faith, Acehnese cultural wisdom, and the ESAs of tsunami survivors.

Abstract

This study investigates speech act patterns and pragmastylistic strategies employed in Islamic video titles on Indonesian YouTube and explains how both dimensions interact to construct persuasive digital religious communication. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzed 150 Islamic video titles selected purposively from Indonesian YouTube channels. Data were examined through qualitative content analysis by classifying speech acts, stylistic devices, and communicative functions based on speech act theory and pragmastylistics. The findings indicate that representative, directive, and expressive speech acts are the most dominant categories, accompanied by collaborative speech act patterns that combine multiple illocutionary forces within a single title. Stylistically, irony, hyperbole, antithesis, repetition, and various forms of linguistic foregrounding are frequently employed to strengthen communicative effects. The analysis further demonstrates that persuasive power is generated not by speech acts or stylistic devices independently but through their systematic interaction, producing stronger pragmatic effects within the attention economy of digital platforms. This study extends the application of pragmastylistics to digital religious communication by demonstrating that YouTube video titles function as strategic sites where religious messages, audience engagement, and platform-specific communication practices are negotiated.

Abstract

The form of nature lexicon in the Madurese folk song titled “Tanduk Majheng” reflects the cultural identity of its people. The song contains thoughts and noble values that have been passed down from generation to generation. The use of nature lexicon in the song is not only for entertainment, but also a medium for Madurese people to convey their ideas, advice, and outlook on life. Therefore, this study aims to describe and explain the form of nature lexicon used in Madurese folk song titled “Tanduk Majheng”, as well as the relationship contained in the song “Tanduk Majheng” as the cultural identity of Madurese people. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data source used is a Madurese folk song entitled “Tanduk Majheng”, while the data is taken from the form of lexicon related to nature as a form of ecolinguistic study. The results of the study found three forms of nature lexicon are 1) majhengan (fish finder), 2) abental ombek (cushioned waves), 3) asapok angen (covered with wind). The cultural identity of Madurese people in the song Tanduk Majheng lies in the form of nature lexicon which mentions that the habits of people who live on the coast with livelihoods at sea. The natural lexicon contains values such as hard work, independence, and a deep understanding of the marine environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the literacy program, scheme and target of the literacy development strategy implementation. This research method is qualitative, case study approach. The results of the research are in the form of a literacy activity development plan formed in the form of utilizing the school literacy website. On the implementation scheme, which consists of three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The main target of this activity is digital-based literacy materials in the form of literary reviews, short stories, school newsletters, poetry, and school service advertisements.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) untuk menginspirasi penggubahan puisi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Malang dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 34 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dengan rincian pelaksanaan setiap siklus meliputi kegiatan perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan tindakan (acting), observasi (observing), dan refleksi (reflection). Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini disusun dengan melibatkan face validity yaitu expert judgment. Seluruh data yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini (baik data tes berupa angka atau persen) dianalisis dan diolah dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) untuk menginspirasi penggubahan puisi pada peserta didik menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Secara keseluruhan, sebanyak 28 (82,35%) peserta didik telah menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar sedangkan 6 (17,64%) peserta didik lainnya belum menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar. Meski belum seluruh peserta didik menunjukkan adanya ketuntasan belajar, namun hasil penilaian dan pengamatan pada siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan dari siklus I (65,21% ke 83,44%).

Abstract

Abstrak: Bahasa Indonesia dapat digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan melalui konservasi budaya. Namun, pembelajaran tersebut harus disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan kearifan Bayan Budiman dan  (2) pembelajaran bermuatan konservasi budaya dan wujud produk konservasi budaya generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, mengumpulkan data melalui observasi praktik pembelajaran, analisis hasil pekerjaan peserta didik, dan studi dokumen. Data dianalisis secara tematik melalui reduksi, kategorisasi, dan interpretasi, lalu disajikan dalam narasi temuan yang diperkuat dengan triangulasi sumber untuk memastikan validitas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hikayat Bayan Budiman memiliki kearifan pada nilai budaya, sosial, agama, dan pendidikan. Hasil selanjutnya menunjukkan bahwa wujud konservasi budaya melalui 25 cerpen terintegrasi hikayat dan 8 cerpen secara eksplisit menyebutkan tokoh-tokoh hikayat sebagai bagian cerpen alih wahana. Konservasi budaya peserta didik menunjukkan hal yang positif dengan berbagai strategi seperti integrasi dan eksplisit, tetapi perlu adanya keberlanjutan supaya peserta didik dapat mengonservasi hikayat ke media yang lain.
