Abstract

The purpose of this study was to expland the form of expressive speech and speech strategy by netizens from conflict of Israel-Palestina news on instagram. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods, especially by employing Searle’s theory of speech acts. Data in this reseach were word, phrases, clauses and sentences that represent the form of expressive speech and speech strategy. Based on the results of the study, it was found five types form of expressive speech, namely condolence speech, insinuating speech, angry speech, complaining speech, and humor speech and four types of speech strategy, namely strategy of speaking frankly without preamble, strategy of speaking speaking with positive politeness, strategy of speaking with negative preamble and the strategy speak vaguely. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the the form of expressive speech by netizens from Israel-Palestina news is a stimulus response from the news. The strategy of expressive speech caused by personality, pretension, and speaker purpose. The form of expressive speech determines the expressive speech strategy.

Abstract

Tindak tutur menarik untuk diteliti pada acara TV “Lapor Pak!” karena merupakan tayangan yang banyak diminati sehingga berpengaruh bagi banyak orang. Secara praktik, tidak semua tindak tutur berhasil mencapai keberhasilannya atau infelicities dalam mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk kondisi infelicities dan jenis-jenis ujaran Infelicities. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan pragmatik, sedangkan secara metodologis yaitu pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu keseluruhan tuturan di dalam acara TV “Lapor Pak!”. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan teknik simak dan teknik catat, peneliti menyimak vidio tersebut, lalu mencatat tuturan-tuturan yang dianggap terdapat kondisi infelicities tindak tutur performatif. Hasil dari penelitian pada acara TV “Lapor Pak!”. Ditemukan dua kondisi infelicities, di antaranya, misfires (salah sasaran) dan abuses (salah penggunaan). Kondisi infelicities dengan misfires (salah sasaran) terdapat dua kondisi yaitu misinvocations (salah penempatan) dan misexecutions (salah eksekusi). Pada kondisi misinvocations ditemukan enam data dan pada kondisi misexecution ditemukan tiga data. Abstract

Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) bentuk diksi dalam iklan produk, (2) metode persuasi dalam iklan produk di televisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa kata dan kalimat hasil transkrip dari tuturan narator dan bintang iklan pada iklan produk di televisi. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik simak dan catat. Analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi proses pengambilan data, reduksi data yaitu identifikasi, pengodean, dan klasifikasi. Kemudian dilakukan penyajian data dalam bentuk teks naratif dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, bentuk diksi yang terdapat dalam iklan produk meliputi kata bermakna denotasi, kata bermakna konotasi, kata abstrak, kara konkret, kata umum, kata khusus, kata ilmiah, kata populer, kata asing, kata serapan, dan slang. Kedua, metode persuasi yang digunakan dalam iklan meliputi metode asosiasi, metode icing device, metode fear arousing, dan metode pay off idea.Kata kunci: iklan televisi, diksi, metode persuasi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of empowerment of the dropout community as a minority group in Society-based Library Republik Gubuk. The method used in this research is qualitative data analysis with a case study approach. Data were collected using interview techniques and direct observation at Society-based Library Republic Gubuk. The results of the study showed that several work programs of Society-based Library Republik Gubuk in empowering minority groups, especially children who dropped out of school, by providing space to be creative and innovate according to their respective interests and talents as human resource management activities to have skills and be able to compete. Along with the times. The Society-based Library Republik Gubuk work program provides training in honing creativity as a provision in improving skills based on groups of interest. These activities are called "Preman Mengajar". Preman Mengajar is a work program that provides a forum for empowering school dropouts to develop their abilities and skills in the arts and culture, such as making the Jabung Malangan mask, the local culture of the Jabung area. Making the masks is aimed at preserving local culture and being used as a result of recycled waste materials in which to hone the skills of carving, design, creativity, and others. Apart from that, the Preman Mengajar activity program has also been developed by Society-based Library Republik Gubuk by collaborating with schools in the surrounding environment in the form of providing opportunities for these minority groups to get to know the educational background through the introduction of Jabung local culture to students in local content subjects. In addition to teaching activities in formal schools, these minority groups are also allowed to exchange opinions and provide learning guidance from one hut to another.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the school literacy movement in students with hearing impairment and mild mental retardation in the Extraordinary High School Putra Pancasila Malang. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the implementation of GLS in students with hearing impairment and mild mental retardation at SMALB YP2 Malang was carried out with the interpretation, the organizing, and the application in accordance with the guidebook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. And learning facilities and activities carried out to support GLS in accordance with the needs of students with each obstacle.

Abstract

Studies to inculcate new values for students, including foreign learners, are necessary, given the high incidence of injustice and bullying. The inculcation of these values in Indonesian language learning for foreign learners (BIPA) is closely related to the cultural learning of Indonesian people who love peace. This study aimed to reveal the discursive practice of embedding values in BIPA textbooks. The data sources were the BIPA textbook published in 2019 by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture for advanced levels. This study used Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and Visual Grammar Theory (VGT) to analyze the data. This study found three categories of values related to self, social relations, and environment. Values about caring for society, the environment, and democracy dominated the BIPA textbook. The textbook ignored the discursive practice of instilling inner value. This finding significantly contributes to the authors of language textbooks for foreign learners to consider cultural values that lead to developing more comprehensive subject matter. In addition, these findings also make it clear that foreign language teachers do not teach their language but also need to emphasize learning about values that support students' communicative competence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur naratif dalam cerita rakyat “Si Kantan” dengan menggunakan teori Vladimir Propp yang berfokus pada fungsi pelaku dalam naratif. Kajian ini berupaya mendeskripsikan dan mengidentifikasi fungsi-fungsi pelaku sekaligus mengeksplorasi bagaimana pola naratif Propp dapat diterapkan pada karya sastra tradisional Nusantara, yang masih jarang diteliti menggunakan pendekatan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan analisis struktural naratif melalui tahapan identifikasi morfologi cerita, pengelompokan aksi-aksi naratif, dan pemetaan terhadap 31 fungsi pelaku yang diuraikan Propp. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 12 fungs i yang relevan dan muncul dalam narasi Si Kantan, dengan variasi unik yang mencerminkan konteks budaya lokal. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi baru dalam kajian struktural naratif di Indonesia, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan adaptabilitas teori Propp pada cerita rakyat yang memiliki karakteristik budaya khas. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa teori struktural naratif dapat diterapkan pada ragam cerita yang berbeda, membuka ruang bagi studi lanjutan terhadap kekayaan naratif lokal melalui lensa struktural. skema kerangka cerita yang membentuk struktur adalah sebagai berikut, Β, ζ, T, ↑, M, H, N, ↓, K, W, Α, U. Skema yang menggambarkan perjuangan tokoh sejak kematian ayah tokoh dimulai dari β --- H. Setelah perjuangan dilakukan maka si tokoh melangsungkan pernikahan, N---U.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the form of directive speech and (2) speech action strategies in the framework of politeness in the language of Ustaz Adi Hidayat. This research is qualitative with a pragmatic approach. The method used is descriptive analysis. The form of data in this study is words, phrases, clauses, sentences, and paragraphs that represent the form of directive speech and speech action strategies. The data collection technique uses the look and note technique. The data in this study was analyzed using three steps, namely (1) reducing the data, (2) presenting the data, and (3) drawing conclusions. The results of this study are (1) the form of directive speech in the form of (a) the act of commanding is marked by the words please, pay attention, and come on; (b) the act of prohibition is marked by the word don't; (c) the demanding act is marked by the word must; and (d) the act of begging is marked by the word beg with polite language at a polite level and (2) the strategy of speech action in the form of (a) the strategy of positive politeness/familiarity is marked by sentences that contain jokes, (b) without strategies is marked by sentences that contain ridicule, and (c) indirect or disguised strategies are marked by sentences that contain sarcasm. The act of directive speech in Ustaz Adi Hidayat's tausiah tends to use a form of ruling with a positive politeness strategy in the form of jokes. The use of directive speech accompanied by jokes can provide a polite feel. The nuances of manners in the context of language can be an important factor so that information can be well received by speaking partners. This research contributes to the study of pragmatic, language politeness that can have theoretical implications in the realm of public speaking such as lectures and speeches, as well as in the context of learning.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) untuk menginspirasi penggubahan puisi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Malang dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 34 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dengan rincian pelaksanaan setiap siklus meliputi kegiatan perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan tindakan (acting), observasi (observing), dan refleksi (reflection). Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini disusun dengan melibatkan face validity yaitu expert judgment. Seluruh data yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini (baik data tes berupa angka atau persen) dianalisis dan diolah dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) untuk menginspirasi penggubahan puisi pada peserta didik menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Secara keseluruhan, sebanyak 28 (82,35%) peserta didik telah menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar sedangkan 6 (17,64%) peserta didik lainnya belum menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar. Meski belum seluruh peserta didik menunjukkan adanya ketuntasan belajar, namun hasil penilaian dan pengamatan pada siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan dari siklus I (65,21% ke 83,44%).

Abstract

Every student has different information behavior, especially cum laude students at Riau University in 2020. Based on graduation percentage, students who hold cum laude predicate amounted to 6,22% of the total graduates in 2020. This research aimed to describe the information behavior of cum laude students at Riau University in 2020 through analysis initiation stage, selection stage, exploration stage, formulation stage, collection stage, and presentation stage. This research was qualitative through the selection of informants was based on the criteria of cum laude students with the highest scores from each faculty. The results showed that the initiation stage was based on motivation, interest, learning strategies, syllabus study, and discussion. In the selection stage, general topics were identified through mind mapping and preliminary information search. The exploration stage was carried out by searching for information in the libraries and others. In the formulation stage, the focus was on finding information with specific content, and there was a sense of optimism about collecting and using that information. The collection stage was carried out by gathering information, paying attention to information retrieval, and evaluating information. The presentation stage showed a sense of satisfaction and the process of sharing information. Every cum laude student experiences unique stages in the information-seeking process. The students at each stage the information behavior have taken advantage of all available sources of information and supported by the motivation within them.
