Abstract

While thelaboreconomy in Indonesia has experienced fast growth on digital platforms, the legal status oflaborworkers remains unclear. They are referred to only as "partners," robbing them of protections given to formal employees. This phenomenon raises constitutional problems, as the 1945 Constitution provides strong guarantees of the right to work, treatment, and social security for every citizen. This study will examine the constitutionality oflaborworker rights from state responsibility and digital sovereignty perspectives, and whether it is necessary to reformlaborlaw in Indonesia. This research uses a normative juridical approach, with qualitative analysis of formal rules, including laws and default rules that apply to court decisions, as well as comparative best practices from other countries, particularly the European Union and the United Kingdom. Such a finding reveals a constitutional void that would produce an architectural mismatch between the proposed constitutional norms and protection forlaborworkers in Indonesia at one end, and on the other is a lack of state presence to regulate the monopolizing practice of digital platforms and the normalizing practices of the precarious nature of digital work culture. The comparative study with the EU and the UK shows that Indonesia is a laggard in ensuring legal certainty. This article develops a new paradigm forlaborers'rights, called "digital constitutional protection," a novel term grounded in progressive legal theory. It makes an academic contribution by advancing a theory of constitutional law and a practical one through proposing adaptive, fair approaches to regulatory reform.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has not automatically improved elementary students’ literacy, as its implementation is often unaccompanied by structured pedagogical design. Furthermore, the interplay among digital classroom services, instructional quality, and the supporting school ecosystem in strengthening literacy remains insufficiently examined. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital classroom services in elementary education and their contribution to literacy enhancement. A qualitative case study design was employed in an elementary school implementing a digital classroom program. Participants included digital homeroom teachers, an ICT teacher, the curriculum coordinator, the principal, and digital-class students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observations, and analysis of instructional documents and school policies. Data analysis followed the interactive model of data reduction, data display, and iterative conclusion drawing and verification, with source triangulation to ensure credibility. Findings reveal that digital classroom services operate as an integrated learning system combining synchronous and asynchronous activities via a learning management system. Literacy development was supported through structured reading strategies, metacognitive scaffolding, guiding questions, and systematic formative feedback. The study highlights the need for digital classroom development aligned with quality standards emphasizing TPACK-based instructional design, consistent formative assessment, strong school leadership, and sustainable school–family partnerships to effectively strengthen students’ literacy.

Abstract

This study addresses a persistent conceptual gap in fifth-grade Pancasila Education specifically in learning norms, rights, and obligations by conducting a systematic multi-source needs analysis for interactive multimedia design. Grounded in Mayer’s  Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning and Piaget’s developmental framework, the study employed a qualitative descriptive approach in which descriptive statistics from student questionnaires were used to quantify identified needs and strengthen qualitative interpretations drawn from interviews and observations. Data were collected from 175 students and 7 classroom teachers across seven elementary schools in Ngaglik District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, from January to March 2026, using purposive sampling. Three research questions guided the study, addressing learning process conditions, conceptual understanding, and multimedia needs. Findings revealed a significant pedagogical gap between students' high motivational readiness (93.1%) and instructional quality, as lecture-based methods dominated with minimal use of interactive media. Students' conceptual understanding averaged only 50.1% across six indicators, reflecting a systematic gap between declarative knowledge and applied understanding a dual limitation explicable through the convergent application of CTML and Piaget's concrete operational framework. All students (100%) expressed a need for accessible and engaging learning media, with over 94% requesting interactive features such as animations, quizzes, and collaborative tools, unanimously endorsed by all seven teachers and corroborated by the complete absence of purpose-built multimedia in all observed schools. Unlike prior studies relying on single data sources or broad Pancasila themes, this study contributes a triangulated, context-specific needs profile and theoretically grounded design specifications to advance interactive multimedia development for this underexplored topic and grade level.

Abstract

Learning about global diversity at the elementary school level often remains abstract and lacks contextual relevance, causing students to experience difficulties in developing a deep understanding of cross-cultural concepts. This study aimed to develop an Augmented Reality (AR) Book incorporating cultural diversity content and to evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing global diversity awareness among fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model. The developed product underwent validation by subject-matter and media experts, product trials, and effectiveness testing through pre-test and post-test designs involving experimental and control groups. The main findings indicate that the development of an augmented reality-based book significantly improved fifth-grade students’ understanding of global diversity concepts. The AR book successfully integrated narrative text, interactive illustrations, and three-dimensional objects accessible via mobile devices, thereby creating a more engaging and meaningful learning experience. It can be concluded that this medium is effective as an alternative interactive learning tool for enhancing students’ understanding and awareness of global diversity. The implications of this study suggest that the integration of augmented reality technology in elementary education holds considerable potential to transform how students comprehend global concepts and diversity values. The use of AR-based books not only enriches learning experiences but also supports the development of 21st-century competencies.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is a fundamental skill that must be developed from elementary school level so that students are able to understand and solve problems based on scientific evidence. This study aims to describe the profile of scientific literacy, identify factors causing low achievement, and formulate recommendations. Using a qualitative case study approach at Kalibawang Public Elementary School, data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews with 30 fifth-grade students and one teacher selected by purposive sampling, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results show that the profile of students' scientific literacy is in the sufficient category (average 3.16) with gaps between aspects: scientific responsibility competency is the highest (3.29), while science career information (2.85) and environmental responsibility (2.86) are the lowest. Low scientific literacy is caused by three interlocking factors: teachers' limitations in developing textbook-based assessment instruments, the lack of interactive media, and the scarcity of project-based learning due to the dominance of the transmissive pattern. The implication is that teacher training is needed to develop contextual digital instruments and media, allocate time for integrated STEM projects, school policies that support innovative models, and the development of mission-based educational games to improve scientific literacy sustainably.
