Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of administration and supervision in mitigating intolerance issues through the implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC) in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Intolerance is a serious challenge at the primary education level, exacerbated by teaching materials that tend to be monotonous and lacking in context (Sari & Utami, 2021). This study proposes the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC) as an approach that instils empathy and tolerance, in line with the principles of character education based on local culture (Lubis, 2018). The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which actively involved administrators (madrasah principals) and teachers through the stages of problem identification, plan development, training, and reflection (Kemmis & McTaggart, 2014, Arikunto, 2019). The results show that supportive administration (such as the provision of visual media) and mentoring-oriented supervision (Widodo, 2020) succeeded in improving teachers' competence in integrating the value of tolerance. Teachers were able to develop creative media, such as comics, which were effective in fostering students' interest and understanding of inclusive values (Sudjana & Rivai, 201166; Saputra, 2019). Thus, administration and supervision are key to the success of KBC as a strategic effort to preserve national values from an early age.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of Islamic educational administration and supervision in integrating blended learning with the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC) in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This integration is considered essential as an effort to address the challenges of 21st-century learning without neglecting compassion as the core value of Islamic education. A literature review is employed as the primary method to explore the concepts of Islamic educational management according to Prof. Dr. Ahmad Zainuri and to connect these concepts with the implementation of blended learning. The findings indicate that educational administration plays a significant role in planning, organizing, and implementing policies that support hybrid learning, while Islamic educational supervision ensures that the values of love (mahabbah), exemplary conduct, and spirituality remain the foundation of the learning process. The study confirms that effective governance and supervision are key determinants of the success of hybrid learning innovations based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education administration and supervision in the use of love-based digital media in the learning process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Love-based digital media is understood as an educational technology approach that emphasizes values of compassion, empathy, respect, and positive communication between teachers and students. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design in several Madrasah Ibtidaiyah that have implemented the integration of Islamic values in digital media utilization for learning. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and verification techniques. The findings reveal that Islamic education administration plays a crucial role in program planning, managing digital facilities, and formulating media usage regulations aligned with Islamic ethics and manners. Educational supervision is carried out through professional development of teachers, guidance in using digital platforms, and emphasizing teaching practices that highlight a love-based approach as part of Islamic pedagogical responsibility. The use of love-based digital media was found to enhance learning comfort, student discipline, and positive interactions between teachers and learners. The study recommends improving teachers’ digital competencies, providing adequate infrastructure, and implementing an Islamic supervision model that is responsive to 21st-century learning needs.

Abstract

This paper discusses the implementation of biology learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) using the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC). The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the principles of KBC and its adaptation to basic biology material, (2) to identify teaching methods that are in line with the values of love (empathy, appreciation of creation, environmental responsibility), and (3) to present a case study of implementation based on document and literature analysis. The results of the study show that KBC can strengthen students' motivation, character, and science literacy if integrated through thematic learning, local-based projects, and authentic assessment; the main obstacles include teacher readiness, availability of adaptive teaching materials, and policy training support. Recommended practices include the development of local modules, teacher training in humanistic pedagogy, and continuous evaluation.

Abstract

Islamic education at the elementary school level plays a fundamental role in building the foundation of faith, developing noble morals, and developing students' intellectual, emotional, and social intelligence. The dynamics of global development, marked by technological advances, changes in generational character, and the complexity of educational challenges, demand innovation in the management of Islamic Religious Education learning. This article aims to critically and systematically examine the organization of Islamic education supervision by integrating a deep learning approach and a love-based curriculum in the development of teaching materials in elementary schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review of various scientific sources, including books, national and international journal articles, and educational policy documents. The results of the study indicate that structured Islamic education supervision can improve teacher professionalism in designing meaningful learning. The deep learning approach contributes to strengthening students' conceptual and reflective understanding, while the love-based curriculum instills the values of compassion, empathy, and Islamic character. The integration of these three aspects results in the development of teaching materials that are holistic, contextual, and relevant to the needs of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines the negotiation of religious moderation within the digital culture of students at SMAN 21 Palembang. The presence of social media, WhatsApp groups, memes, and other forms of digital communication has created new social spaces that influence students’ religious attitudes and identity formation in multicultural schools. This study aims to analyze the process of negotiating students’ religious identities in the school’s digital space as well as the school’s strategies for strengthening religious moderation amidst majority-minority relations. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving 12 informants comprising the school principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, Christian Religious Education teachers, student organization advisors, Muslim students, and non-Muslim minority students. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that the school’s digital space functions not only as a communication medium but also as an arena for identity negotiation, symbolic struggle, and the reproduction of religious narratives among students. Memes, stickers, and social media interactions serve as forms of religious expression that can strengthen group solidarity while simultaneously creating the potential for exclusion of minority groups. Nevertheless, the school strives to foster an inclusive culture through dialogic interactions, multicultural activities, and the internalization of religious moderation values in both formal and informal contexts. This study concludes that religious moderation in schools is shaped through a dynamic process of social negotiation within students’ digital culture. This research contributes to the development of studies on digital religious moderation and multicultural education in Indonesian public schools.
