Abstract

IKN is expected to become a sustainable city that will drive the country's economy in Indonesia in the future. This research analyses the correlation amidst foreign direct investment, inflation, and environmental degradation with economic growth in IKN. Therefore, this study aims to examine all variables that affect the economic growth of IKN. Thus, this study provides implications for regulators and policymakers on how to optimize IKN's economic growth in a sustainable manner. This analysis utilizes time series data collected from 38 provinces in Indonesia from 2018 to 2022. Secondary data obtained from the websites of the World Bank, BPS, and OECD is utilized in this study. Data testing uses a data panel regression analysis model with Eviews 10 software. The results of this study indicate that Foreign Direct Investment and inflation have a significant positive effect on economic development. Conversely, the environmental degradation has a significant negative impact on economic growth. The findings of this study confirm that economic growth can be enhanced through increasing FDI inflows, maintaining a stable inflation rate, and environmental degradation at a certain level, which can stimulate economic growth. Therefore, all variables in this study contribute to economic growth.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas peran integratif komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari manusia. Komunikasi tidak hanya dibentuk melalui bahasa lisan atau tulisan, tetapi sangat dipengaruhi oleh bahasa tubuh, ekspresi wajah, gestur, dan keheningan. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, kajian ini menganalisis bagaimana keselarasan antara pesan verbal dan isyarat nonverbal membentuk komunikasi yang efektif dan empatik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian kedua elemen ini memperkuat kepercayaan dan kejelasan, sementara ketidaksesuaian dapat menyebabkan kesalahpahaman. Konteks budaya dan transformasi digital turut memengaruhi pola komunikasi. Oleh karena itu, literasi komunikasi yang mencakup pemahaman verbal dan nonverbal menjadi keterampilan esensial dalam menjalin relasi interpersonal, khususnya di lingkungan multikultural dan digital.

Abstract

Riset ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk menganalisis minat belajar dan kemampuan belajar pada mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah struktur aljabar grup. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dan mahasiswi pendidikan matematika semester V, langkah–langkah yang digunakan didalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis minat dan kemampuan belajar tersebut dengan cara menggunakan uji validitas, uju reliabilitas, uji normalitas dan uji reabilitas. dari hasil uji tersebut ternyata minat belajar terhadap kemempuan belajar mempunyai hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan kemampuan belajar terhadap struktur aljabar grup.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the principal's constant effort to improve the quality of Islamic religious education by observing the development of Islamic religious teachers in teaching, student morality, and achievement in Islamic religious education. The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine the quality of Islamic religious education at Elementary School 05 Pasaman, 2) To determine the principal's contribution to improving the quality of Islamic religious education at Elementary School 05 Pasaman. This study is a field research study. The key informants in this study were the Islamic religious education teacher and the principal, while the supporting informants were students. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that 1) The quality of Islamic religious education and learning at Elementary School 05 Pasaman has increased, this is indicated by the frequent students winning championships in various religious competitions, 2) The principal's contribution in improving the quality of Islamic religious education and learning at Elementary School 05 Pasaman includes: a) preparing activity plans, b) building a solid work team, c) improving teacher competence, d) building relationships with parents and the community, e) providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, f) adjusting teaching objectives to the curriculum, g) ensuring the content of special materials, h) using criteria and standardization.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has transformed the way people access information, interact, and live their daily lives. In this regard, students from the Mathematics Education Study Program at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra conducted "Smart Socialization" during a community service activity in Jaharun A Village, Galang District. The main objective of this community service activity was to increase awareness and understanding among residents of Jaharun A Village, Galang District, regarding the importance of digital literacy in facing the challenges of AI-based disinformation on social media. The implementation methods included initial observation, outreach, and interviews. The results of this activity indicated high community enthusiasm, active participation, and a better understanding of how to use social media wisely and responsibly. This activity successfully built critical public awareness of the importance of verifying information before sharing it and increased local community preparedness for the complex digital information era. This activity is expected to become a model for applicable and sustainable digital literacy education in rural areas.

Abstract

Human basically only know a science only from experts, without realizing the source of that knowledge. Science is the application of the Qur’an and Hadith is the source of knowledge. This study determine the integration of the functions of the sensory system according to the integrated scientific view of the Qur'an and hadith. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with the producing descriptive data in the words obtained when looking for references from literature sources with a literature review approach (Library Research). The results of this study indicate that the function of the human sensory system according to science is only in the essence of hearing, seeing, smelling, feeling and touching. In science the human senses function as producers of perception and even as facilities for developing knowledge about something. Meanwhile, according to the Qur'an and hadith, the function of the human sensory system is as a facility for increasing the faith and piety of a servant to Allah SWT. Based on science, the Qur'an and hadith both function the human senses as a complementary facilities in developing knowledge so that a person further increases the essence of Allah presence in carrying out sensory functions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic civilization on the intellectual awakening of Europe through a qualitative approach using library research. Based on historical and scholarly literature, the findings reveal that the Islamic world played a central role in shaping Europe’s intellectual transformation, particularly through the transmission of knowledge from major centers such as Baghdad, Andalusia, and the Latin Translation Movement in Toledo. These contributions include the development of scientific methodology, philosophical rationalism, mathematical sciences, clinical medicine, experimental optics, and institutionalized learning that later became the foundation of modern universities. Intellectual values such as rationality, multicultural openness, and experimental tradition significantly influenced European thought during the Scholastic and Pre-Renaissance eras. The study concludes that Europe’s intellectual revival cannot be separated from the substantial contributions of Islamic civilization, which served as a bridge between classical knowledge and modern science. This research provides a comprehensive understanding of inter-civilizational dynamics in the history of scientific development.

Abstract

Artistic creativity is an essential aspect of child development, contributing to imagination, fine motor skills, and self-confidence. However, limited access to art-based activities and excessive gadget use have reduced opportunities for children to develop creativity, particularly in rural areas such as Dogang Village, Langkat Regency. This community service program aimed to enhance children’s artistic creativity through the socialization of bracelet-making using paracord as a form of simple and practical non-formal education. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving children who participated in the activity. The socialization process included the introduction of tools and materials, demonstrations of basic knotting techniques, and hands-on practice with direct assistance. The results indicated that participants were able to master several basic techniques, including simple knots, braided patterns, and double (cobra) knots, which contributed to improved creativity, precision, social interaction, and self-confidence. In addition to its educational impact, the bracelets produced demonstrated economic potential, with an affordable selling price starting from Rp.5,000 per unit. Therefore, this activity not only supports the development of children’s artistic creativity but also provides opportunities for sustainable micro-enterprise development within the local community.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kreativitas ibu-ibu PKK Desa Jaharun A, Dusun II, Kecamatan Galang, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, dalam memanfaatkan bahan alam sekitar melalui pembuatan totebag dengan teknik ecoprint. Subjek kegiatan dipilih karena memiliki potensi strategi dalam pengembangan usaha kreatif berbasis rumah tangga serta kemampuan mengelola sumber daya lokal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahap persiapan meliputi survei kebutuhan, penentuan lokasi, pemilihan bahan seperti daun jati, ketapang, dan bougenville, serta penyusunan perangkat pelatihan. Tahap pelaksanaannya dilakukan melalui pengeboran dan praktik langsung teknik ecoprint pounding, yang meliputi penataan daun, pemukulan, pengikatan, pengukusan, dan pengeringan. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai kualitas hasil karya, tingkat partisipasi peserta, dan keberhasilan transfer keterampilan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu membuat totebag ecoprint secara mandiri dengan motif alami yang estetik, ramah lingkungan, dan memiliki potensi nilai jual. Kegiatan ini turut meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan serta membuka peluang usaha kreatif yang dapat mendukung pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat.

Abstract

The low level of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) among junior high school students, especially in mathematics, indicates the need for technology-based learning innovations to train higher-level thinking skills. The low level of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) among eighth-grade students at Harapan 3 Junior High School, which is still dominated by lower-level thinking skills, is a problem in mathematics learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing a gamification learning method, assisted by the Wordwall application, on improving HOTS among eighth-grade students at SMP Harapan 3. This study used a quantitative approach, a quasi-experimental design, and a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The research instrument was an essay test that had been validated and was reliable for measuring students' HOTS abilities in the aspects of analysis, evaluation, and creation. The data were analysed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Levene's homogeneity-of-variance test to guide the selection of statistical analysis techniques. Because the data were not normally distributed, the difference analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney U Test, a nonparametric test and N-Gain calculation. The results showed that Wordwall-assisted gamification learning was significantly more effective than conventional learning in improving students' HOTS abilities.
