Abstract

Kegiatan PKM di SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka di kawasan perbatasan Indonesia-Malaysia. Permasalahan yang diperhatikan penelitian ini pada tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru perbatasan dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka, Sehingga dengan pelatihan agar guru dapat memahami dan menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka secara efektif. Prosedur pelaksanaan kegiatan dimulai dengan pembukaan oleh ketua PKM dan berlanjut kegiatan inti pelatihan. Mitra pengabdian yaitu SMAN 1 Sajingan dengan metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi ceramah, diskusi interaktif. Mahasiswa berperan sebagai fasilitator untuk mendukung guru-guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Pentingnya pelatihan ini mengingat minimnya pengetahuan tentang kurikulum baru di daerah tersebut. Pelatihan yang dilakukan mencakup materi tentang penyusunan tujuan pembelajaran, alur tujuan pembelajaran dan pengembangan modul ajar, dengan pendekatan yang lebih fleksibel dan berpusat pada siswa. Para guru sangat antusias dan aktif berpartisipasi dalam sesi praktik yang dipandu oleh pemateri. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah, sehingga terjadinya pemerataan pendidikan.  Pelatihan yang dilakukan tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi guru, tetapi juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan di kawasan perbatasan. Dengan dukungan yang berkelanjutan dari berbagai pihak, diharapkan potensi anak-anak di daerah tersebut dapat berkembang secara optimal, tanpa terhalang oleh letak geografis yang terpencil. Kegiatan ini menjadi langkah awal yang penting dalam upaya pemerataan pendidikan di Indonesia, khususnya di daerah yang membutuhkan perhatian lebih.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze social capital and examine further and in-depth related to social capital in the form of trust, norms, and student networks at HMPIPS FKIP Untan for the 2022/2023 period. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. This research involved 10 students as research informants who were members of the Social Education Study Program FKIP Untan student association for the 2022/2023 period. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results are (1) HMPIPS FKIP Untan students for the 2022/2023 period have social capital of trust which is the key to the concept of trust which can be used as a trust parameter including Integrity, Competence, Consistency, Loyalty and Openness. (2) HMPIPS FKIP Untan students for the 2022/2023 period have social capital norms which then apply including norms such as Religious Norms, Moral Norms, Moral Norms, Habitual Norms, and Legal Norms. (3) HMPIPS FKIP Untan students for the 2022/2023 period have network social capital, namely the level of closeness and the level of togetherness. In conclusion, HMPIPS FKIP students for the 2022/2023 period have social capital in the form of trust, norms, and networks.

Abstract

Workshop ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar dalam pengajaran literasi dan numerasi, terutama dengan menggunakan teknologi digital dan aplikasi interaktif. Tujuan utamanya adalah membekali guru dengan strategi pengajaran yang inovatif dan membantu mereka menyusun program pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa di era digital. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan, dilakukan observasi dan koordinasi dengan Kelompok Kerja Kepala Sekolah Pontianak Selatan untuk menentukan peserta. Tahap pelaksanaan mencakup pemaparan materi, diskusi, simulasi penggunaan aplikasi digital, dan penyusunan rencana pembelajaran. Hasilnya, 82% peserta sangat setuju dengan pentingnya literasi bagi guru. Setiap kelompok berhasil menyusun rencana pembelajaran inovatif menggunakan teknologi digital. Manfaatnya adalah peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan teknologi serta pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang pengajaran yang relevan dan efektif.

Abstract

This study explored students' ethical and social responsibilities in academic and community settings, emphasizing the interplay between ethical awareness and social engagement. Ethical responsibility included adherence to academic integrity policies, respect for intellectual property, and institutional conduct codes, while social responsibility involved participation in volunteer work, leadership, and advocacy for diversity. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research integrated quantitative analysis from structured questionnaires and qualitative insights from in-depth interviews with students from higher education institutions in Indonesia. The findings revealed a strong correlation between ethical and social responsibilities, where students with higher ethical awareness demonstrated greater social engagement. However, social responsibility remained moderate, suggesting further institutional support was needed. Gender differences indicated that male students showed slightly higher social responsibility levels than females. This study contributed to educational policies by offering a framework to strengthen ethical integrity and civic involvement, ensuring students were prepared for academic and professional ethical challenges. The results could guide curriculum development and institutional strategies to foster responsible academic practices, ultimately shaping students into morally and socially responsible individuals.

Abstract

This paper discussed Indonesian efforts to change the Indonesian educational system from centralization to decentralization. The Indonesian government launched several programmes to support its decentralization policy in education. The programmes were intended to open equal access to education all over Indonesia and minimize the gap among the regions. This paper analysed whether the programmes provided equality and equity to Indonesian citizens in terms of educational access. Finally, this researcher recommended that the Indonesian government gives more attention to the disadvantaged area, for example, poor and remote regions. This may provide equal access to education with good quality in Indonesia. Moreover, the Indonesian central government may allow local authorities to get involved in teacher professionalism programmes. Local authorities may invite successful educators from other regions to learn their successful localized curriculum. Finally, the central government must ensure that local government apply a minimum of 20% of its budgets for education. The funding might help local educational authorities pay teachers' salaries on time as the delay in teacher salaries may affect negatively their work conditions.

Abstract

One important aspect to form a generation with morals and integrity in the midst of increasingly complex developments is character education. The purpose of this study was to analyze the strengthening of character education with school culture at SMP Negeri 3 Jawai Selatan which consists of routine activities, spontaneous, exemplary, and conditioning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data were taken through observation, interviews with informants, namely the principal, social studies teachers, and 6 students, and through documentation. Data analysis used data reduction techniques, and data presentation, as well as drawing conclusions and verification. The result is the strengthening of character education at SMP Negeri 3 Jawai Selatan with routine activities, spontaneous, exemplary, and conditioning. Routine activities consist of flag ceremonies, congregational Dzuhur prayers, singing national songs during ceremonies, reading the Qur'an, and hair raids. Spontaneous activities include giving sanctions to students who fight, litter, are not neat in their clothes, are caught cheating, are caught stealing, and say bad words. Exemplary activities are the exemplary behavior of teachers, principals, students, school staff, and school residents in attitudes and behaviors such as dressing, speaking, acting, personal hygiene, and discipline. Conditioning activities are creating a clean school environment, clean toilets, clean classrooms, clean teachers' rooms, clean gardens, posting motivational/wise words containing character, and extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Presentasi tidak hanya mengandalkan kemampuan berbicara yang baik, namun juga dibutuhkan desain slide presentasi yang menarik agar audiens tidak bosan dan tertarik dengan informasi yang disampaikan presenter. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh SMKS YPK Pontianak adalah masih banyak peserta didik yang masih belum mengetahui cara membuat desain slide presentasi. Canva menjadi salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat desain slide presentasi dengan mudah. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini diadakan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik SMKS YPK Pontianak dalam menggunakan Canva untuk membuat desain slide presentasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan yang dilaksanakan secara luring di ruang kelas SMKS YPK Pontianak dan dihadiri oleh 30 orang peserta yang merupakan peserta didik kelas XII SMKS YPK Pontianak dari jurusan Akuntansi dan Administrasi Perkantoran. Narasumber menyampaikan materi tentang dasar-dasar Canva, lalu mendemonstrasikan cara penggunaan Canva dan mendampingi peserta dalam pembuatan desain slide presentasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengisian angket evaluasi kegiatan, diketahui bahwa terkait pemahaman peserta tentang Canva dan fitur-fiturnya sebanyak 0% peserta memilih “Kurang”, 40% peserta memilih “Cukup”, 23,3% peserta memilih “Memuaskan”, dan 36,7% peserta memilih “Sangat memuaskan”. Selain itu, terkait pemahaman peserta tentang penggunaan Canva untuk membuat desain slide presentasi sebanyak 0% peserta memilih “Kurang”, 23,3% peserta memilih “Cukup”, 60% peserta memilih “Memuaskan”, dan 16,7% peserta memilih “Sangat memuaskan”. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik adalah kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan mampu memberikan pemahaman yang baik kepada peserta dalam penggunaan Canva untuk membuat desain slide presentasi

Abstract

Minyak jelantah merupakan limbah rumah tangga yang sering dibuang sembarangan, sehingga berpotensi mencemari lingkungan dan membahayakan kesehatan. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan warga dalam mengolah minyak jelantah menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi, seperti sabun cair dan lilin aromaterapi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan berbasis partisipatif. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan kuesioner untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai bahaya minyak jelantah dan cara pengolahannya, serta 70% berhasil membuat produk dengan kualitas layak jual. Program ini berkontribusi dalam pengurangan limbah rumah tangga sekaligus membuka peluang usaha berbasis ekonomi kreatif. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat diadopsi oleh komunitas lain guna mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan dan pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of powerpoint media in social studies learning at MTs Yasti Sekuduk and the obstacles in using powerpoint media in social studies learning at MTs Yasti Sekuduk. The form of research used in this research is a qualitative case study method. Informants in this study consisted of vice principals and social studies teachers. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data collection tools are observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and using a camera. The results of this study found: 1) the use of powerpoint media in social studies learning at MTs Yasti Sekuduk, Sambas Regency was rare, and some teachers did not even use powerpoint media. The reason teachers rarely use powerpoint media when studying social studies, teachers find it difficult to make and prepare the media because the teacher's ability is still lacking in understanding powerpoint-based learning media. 2) Obstacles in the use of powerpoint media in Social Studies learning at MTs Yasti Sekuduk, Sambas Regency, namely the lack of teacher knowledge in understanding the use of technology in the form of audio-visual learning media, lack of skills and creativity of teachers who still experience difficulties in making interesting learning media according to the teaching material , it takes a long time to make and prepare the media.

Abstract

Cultural heritage has been recognized as a relevant discourse in the planning of tourism village development within the international context; however, existing literature reveals certain limitations. A critical aspect of addressing this issue pertains to the integration of local assets into community empowerment initiatives. Consequently, this study seeks to investigate the tourism potential of Desa Sekura by employing an ethnography-based model of community empowerment that incorporates local assets. Utilizing an ethnographic methodology, this research examines the ways in which cultural traditions, social capital, and natural resources in Desa Sekura, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, can be leveraged to promote sustainable tourism development. The findings suggest that principles of social inclusion, community participation, and locally-based management can enhance the tourism potential of Desa Sekura while preserving its cultural identity. Furthermore, the evolution of local institutions in the management and utilization of cultural and social assets is effectively illustrated as a means of fostering tourism village potential. This study aims to contribute new perspectives on the development of tourism villages that emphasize local community empowerment and the preservation of cultural heritage as essential components of sustainable economic development.
