Abstract

The arduino microcontroller processing system as the brain of this system organizes and controls the automation process. The proximity sensor will be used to measure and calculate the distance between the sensor and the object to be cut. The arduino microcontroller will control the servo motor and proximity sensor needed to drive the mechanical part.  Automatic briquette printers can be used to save time and increase the amount of production in a short time. After testing the briquette printer automatically and manually, it is known that when using an automatic briquette printer is able to produce 118 briquettes in 480 seconds, while when using a manual briquette printer is only able to produce 43 briquettes with the same time of 480 seconds. From the results of the comparison of automatic and manual briquette printers, it can be compared that the time efficiency of automatic tools is an average production cycle of 96 seconds with the number of briquettes printed 23.6 pieces with a score of 8, while in manual tools the average production cycle is 96 seconds, the average number of briquettes printed is 8.6 pieces and the average quality score is cut 7

Abstract

The aquaculture sector currently has a real contribution to foodsecurity, including increased production, animal protein consumption, employment, income and regional development. Some problems intilapia farming are manual feeding and unstable water pH levels. Thisresearch aims to design and build an automatic control system for fishfeeders and monitoring water pH in tilapia ponds based on the Internetof Things (IoT). This system uses a Raspberry Pi as the systemcontrol. In the feeding mechanism, the HX711 load cell sensor is usedto weigh the feed, the servo motor functions as the opening and closingof the main feed container, and the DC fan acts as a blower of theweighed feed into the pond area. In addition, a PH-4502C sensor isused to measure the acidity (pH) of the pond water in real-time. Alldata related to feed weight and water pH are displayed through a webserver interface that can be accessed remotely by users. This system isexpected to improve the efficiency of feeding and monitoring waterquality, thus supporting optimal tilapia growth. The test results showthat this system is able to operate well and provide accuratemonitoring results as well as timely feed control and in accordancewith the needs of tilapia.

Abstract

Technological advances have significantly changed many aspects of human life, including shopping activity. The modern retail environment must provide extraordinary customer satisfaction in order to remain competitive. With the Smart Trolley, an automated shopping cart integrated with a payment and pricing system, offers solutions to a shopping challenge that can scan the price of goods. The study explores the development and implementation of Smart Trolley based on client-server architecture and computer vision technology. The Smart Trolley is equipped with a mini PC (Raspberry Pi), a barcode scanner, and an LCD display to display the total cost of goods when they are added to the cart. In addition, it supports non-cash payments and can reduce waiting time at the cashier. Server connections allow real-time monitoring by store staff and prevent fraud. The results of the implementation show that Smart Trolley effectively helps consumers to see the prices of goods, imitate the quarters at the cashier, and improve the security of transactions. This innovative solution aims to simplify the shopping experience, providing a more efficient and comfortable process for consumers in a modern market shopping experience

Abstract

4.0 Industrial Revolution brings significant changes across various aspects of life, including the retail sector. The adoption of automation technology in supermarkets can enhance efficiency and consumer convenience. One of the challenges is the use of conventional shopping carts, which require pushing and pulling, often creating difficulties for customers with physical limitations. To address this issue, this study proposes the development of an automated robotic cart using mechanical wheels. Mecanum wheels enable dynamic movement in all directions without the need to change the wheel orientation, making them a more flexible solution compared to traditional differential wheels. The robotic cart is equipped with four 120 mm mecanum wheels and uses DC motors controlled by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) through an H-bridge circuit and microcontroller. This technology implementation is expected to facilitate smoother cart movement and improve the shopping experience. The study presents the design and kinematic movement of the robot, demonstrating the advantages of using mecanum wheels in enhancing the mobility and flexibility of automated shopping carts

Abstract

The increased productivity of chickens in terms of their health is the primary goal of farmers. Chicken growth is influenced by several factors, one of which is maintaining the cleanliness of the coop, such as routinely removing chicken waste daily to prevent ammonia gas buildup that can hinder growth. Most farmers still use manual cleaning methods, which often lead to issues such as neglect in waste removal and excessive accumulation. This study proposes replacing manual cleaning with an automated system by designing a device that cleans chicken waste using a belt conveyor, operating daily at 08:00 AM and 05:00 PM to prevent excessive waste buildup. Additionally, a gas sensor is used as a precautionary measure to detect increased ammonia levels. Based on field testing and observations, the proposed system has successfully met scheduling accuracy for waste disposal and ammonia gas detection. The system has proven effective and is suitable for small to medium-scale operations. With these positive results, it is hoped that this system can provide significant benefits to farmers

Abstract

Increasing the cultivation of hydroponic plants presents challenges, particularly in monitoring water pH and controlling temperature and humidity in hydroponic farming, which are often neglected. The lack of proper monitoring can significantly impact hydroponic plant growth. This issue arises due to the reliance on manual checks, which prevents real-time and efficient monitoring. This research employs a comparative method to analyze water pH levels using both a water pH sensor and a pH meter. For temperature and humidity monitoring in the hydroponic plant area, the study compares the readings of the DHT22 sensor with online weather data, both monitored anytime via a web server. Temperature and humidity data can be accessed at any time, but the focus of comparison is on daytime, as temperature and humidity fluctuations are more drastic, with temperatures exceeding 30°C. The purpose of this test is to determine the water pH level as well as the temperature and humidity conditions suitable for hydroponic farming. Based on observations, the developed system enables real-time monitoring via a web server, demonstrating good performance and meeting efficiency objectives in automated temperature and humidity control. The implementation of this system is expected to be expanded in the future, providing a viable solution for users and enhancing process efficiency in related fields

Abstract

This research has designed and developed an integrated IoT (Internet of Things)-based system for controlling temperature, humidity, and ammonia levels in chicken coops. The study involved several experiments to test the functionality and effectiveness of the built system. Based on the results obtained from the assembly process, programming, device construction, and comprehensive system testing, it can be concluded that this control system application is effective in improving farmers' work efficiency. The automated waste removal is capable of lowering ammonia levels, minimizing manual labor, and efficiently saving time. Furthermore, this device functions to monitor and maintain the temperature for the livestock inside the coop. The device, with inputs and outputs from DHT-22 and MQ-135 sensors, an ESP32 microcontroller, a heating element, a conveyor, and a DC motor, has been successfully operated and proven effective in regulating temperature and ammonia gas levels in chicken coops.
