Abstract

For industrial purposes, forests originally used for agriculture have been converted into palm coconut plantations and extractive land. The Benak Forest, on the other hand, is the only forest still available to the Mapur tribe. They believe that their lives will end if Benak's native forests disappear. Mapur has a unique way of managing forests and land. They believe that forests should be managed on the basis of natural sustainability, local stability, and economic needs. The focus of this research is to find out the benefits of local wisdom as a social capital in keeping the Benak Forest as PT. GPL continues to grow. Therefore, this research is essential to provide information to governments and stakeholders about the importance of saving and preserving the Benak Forest for the people of the Mapur's Wan Lom Tribe to maintain the balance of ecosystems and living resources. This research uses a qualitative approach with an interpretative paradigm. The results of the research show that capitalism, in which social relations are determined by the relations of production, causes tribal societies, or peoples, to be isolated in their own land. Because they have no control over their ownership and rights to their land, discrimination and stereotypes, land rights, and loss of culture are the result of alienation that is dangerous for the survival of communities and forests.

Abstract

Outermost islands play a strategic role as the frontiers of national sovereignty, making their security a crucial responsibility of state security apparatus. Although the government has established policies for managing and safeguarding these islands, implementation in the field still faces various challenges. Deli Island, located in Banten Province, is one of the outermost islands with both strategic value and vulnerability to security threats, including smuggling, illegal activities, and the potential movement of radical groups. Therefore, effective cooperation between the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) is essential to ensure stability and territorial security. This study aims to analyze the cooperation strategies undertaken by the Marine Task Force (Satgasmar) Pasmar 1 of the Navy and Kodim 0601/Pandeglang of the Army in securing Deli Island, as well as to provide recommendations for improving the effectiveness of this collaboration. The research applied a qualitative descriptive approach through in-depth interviews and field observations. The findings reveal that operational coordination and communication between the two units remain suboptimal, while differences in role perception hinder the effectiveness of joint tasks. This study recommends strengthening communication, refining coordination mechanisms, and conducting joint training to build mutual understanding and synergy. The novelty of this research lies in the proposed integrated cooperation strategy model that not only enhances the security of Deli Island but also contributes to the broader goal of national security and sovereignty in border regions. ABSTRAKPulau terluar memiliki fungsi strategis sebagai batas kedaulatan negara sehingga pengamanannya menjadi tanggung jawab penting bagi aparat keamanan. Pemerintah telah menetapkan kebijakan pengelolaan dan pengamanan pulau-pulau terluar, namun implementasinya masih menghadapi berbagai kendala. Pulau Deli di Provinsi Banten merupakan salah satu pulau terluar yang memiliki posisi strategis sekaligus rawan terhadap ancaman keamanan, baik berupa penyelundupan, aktivitas ilegal, hingga potensi pergerakan kelompok radikal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kerjasama yang sinergis antara TNI AL dan TNI AD untuk memastikan stabilitas dan keamanan wilayah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi kerjasama yang dijalankan oleh Satuan Tugas Marinir (Satgasmar) Pasmar 1 TNI AL dan Kodim 0601/Pandeglang TNI AD dalam pengamanan Pulau Deli, sekaligus memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan agar kerjasama dapat berjalan lebih optimal. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi dan koordinasi operasional antar satuan masih belum berjalan optimal, sementara perbedaan persepsi mengenai pembagian peran menimbulkan ketidakefektifan dalam pelaksanaan tugas. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan intensitas komunikasi, perbaikan mekanisme koordinasi, serta pelaksanaan latihan bersama guna membangun pemahaman dan sinergi antar satuan. Temuan utama penelitian ini adalah kebutuhan model strategi kerjasama terpadu yang tidak hanya memperkuat pengamanan Pulau Deli, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi bagi peningkatan stabilitas keamanan nasional di wilayah perbatasan.

Abstract

The scheduling of Indonesian Navy Warships (KRI) in Koarmada II faces challenges such as vast operational areas, limited fleet availability, and resource inefficiencies. This study aims to optimize KRI operational scheduling by integrating SWOT analysis and Binary Integer Programming (BIP). SWOT analysis is applied to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in operational management, providing a strategic foundation for decision-making. The BIP model is then formulated with binary decision variables to assign warships to operational sectors, considering fleet availability, minimum coverage requirements, and budget constraints. The results demonstrate that the integration of SWOT and BIP produces more efficient, adaptive, and well-targeted deployment strategies. This approach supports data-driven decision-making while enhancing operational readiness and the effectiveness of maritime security under the responsibility of Koarmada II.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of explaining the social capital carried out by the community in the conservation of mangrove forests in Kurau Barat Village, Bangka Tengah Regency. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection process was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this research show that thanks to social capital, emphasizing trust, norms, and networks, the community is able to manage and preserve the mangrove forest in Kurau Barat Village collectively. Thus, the community not only benefits ecologically but also gains economic and social benefits. Efforts to build trust among the community have been successful, as community members have shown the ability to increase electability by emphasizing values such as hard work, honesty, and trust in fellow community members.

Abstract

The relationship between Russia and Ukraine prior to the 2022 conflict was marked by tension, driven by issues of territorial boundaries, political identity, and economic interdependence, with Russia seeking to maintain its influence over Ukraine. Tensions escalated after Ukraine halted negotiations with the European Union in 2013, triggering the Euromaidan protests and worsening bilateral relations. Although Ukraine strengthened ties with the EU and sought NATO membership, Russia’s threats to these aspirations culminated in Russia’s military invasion on February 24, 2022, after Volodymyr Zelenskyy defied these threats and pursued his plans. The aim of this study is to analyze the Russia-Ukraine war from the perspectives of strategy and international relations, as well as its implications for the Indonesian Navy. This research adopts a qualitative approach. The findings show that the Russia-Ukraine war reflects a long-standing geopolitical and geo-economic tension between the two nations, triggered by differences in political orientation, identity, and control over strategic territories. The conflict highlights the significance of political identity and international alliances in shaping the direction of war and how geopolitical dynamics can lead to open conflict. In facing this war, Russia relied on its large conventional military strength to quickly defeat Ukraine, while Ukraine, despite limited resources, leveraged international support to strengthen its resilience. The impact of the war is far-reaching, affecting not only the two countries but also global stability through disruptions in energy supplies, economic downturns, inflation, and food crises.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of the division of Nagari Tapan. The study employs a historical research method, consisting of several stages: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography, to analyze the development of Nagari Tapan. The findings show that the division was regulated by Government Regulation No. 09 of 2000 concerning the Basic Provisions for the Reorganization of Villages in West Sumatra into nagari administrations. The impact of this policy became evident in 1999 when Nagari Tapan was officially divided into the Basa Ampek Balai Tapan District with a single nagari administration. By 2012, the number of nagari administrations had grown to 20, along with two district governments. This division of nagari was part of an effort to establish new autonomy in Electoral District V (Dapil V), beginning with the division of nagari and districts. Following the division in 2012, significant changes occurred in Tapan, including: first, the growth of local democracy (politics); second, increased economic development; and third, the strengthening of social and cultural values.

Abstract

Livestock leather is a food ingredient that can be processed using various types of preparations, one of which is into leather crackers. The processing of leather crackers is done by drying which reduces the water content to the required limit. The processing process requires a long process with the help of sunlight for drying which takes 1-2 days. This research aims to design and develop a skin cracker drying system by utilizing a control-based method fuzzy logic to speed up the drying process of skin crackers. This system consists of a temperature sensor, a weight sensor. Testing of this system has been carried out using several pieces of skin as samples. The research results show that the control method is based on fuzzy logic can stabilize the temperature to the desired for the drying process. Application of heating control methods based on fuzzy logic The skin cracker drying machine is designed at a set point temperature of 50°C so that it can help reduce the weight of the crackers linearly so that the skin crackers are wet weighing 3kg to 973 grams which takes 7 hours.

Abstract

Employee attendance issues are a significant concern in many organizations, particularly regarding fraudulent practices such as proxy attendance and data inaccuracies. Conventional attendance systems relying on signatures or ID cards are often ineffective in preventing these frauds. To address this issue, this study developed a fingerprint-based attendance system integrated with a database and website. The primary objective of this system is to facilitate the attendance recapitulation process, eliminate proxy attendance, and enhance employee awareness and discipline. This system uses fingerprint technology to ensure that each employee is physically present at the time of attendance, thereby improving the accuracy and reliability of attendance data. The research method used is experimental, involving the development of hardware and software with various interconnected components. The results show that this system not only simplifies attendance recapitulation but is also effective in preventing fraud, increasing employee awareness and discipline, and ensuring data security accessible only by the admin. Thus, the fingerprint-based attendance system proves to be an effective solution in addressing attendance issues in the workplace.

Abstract

Penggunaan komputer beserta beberapa program aplikasinya dalam dunia pendidikan pada zaman sekarang merupakan sesuatu yang tidak asing lagi. Hal ini sejalan tuntutan peningkatan kualitas kemampuan para guru dalam membuat dan menyajikan bahan ajar merupakan suatu hal yang perlu untuk direspon para guru. Para guru diharapkan memanfaatkan komputer dalam mengemas materi ajar dalam bentuk bahan ajar yang akan dikomunikasikan kepada para siswa. Agar materi ajar yang akan ditransfer menjadi suatu pengetahuan dan mudah diserap secara maksimal oleh anak didik, maka peran bentuk dan media penyajian materi merupakan hal yang tidak bisa diabaikan. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu pelatihan pembuatan file-file presentasi yang lebih menarik dan komunikatif. Selain hal di atas, maka perlu pula mengadakan pelatihan atau kursus singkat mengenai cara membuat blog bagi para guru dan siswa untuk mengoptimalkan proses belajar-mengajar di sekolah.

Abstract

Peralatan audio digital menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan untuk mendukung kelancaran kegiatan belajar mengajar maupun acara lomba-lomba yang diselenggarakan di Sekolah ataupun di Pondok Pesantren. Penggunaan peralatan audio juga perlu memperhatikan lokasi ruangannya (indoor atau outdoor), posisi pendengar dan spesifikasi peralatan audionya. Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Darul Wafa Mataram termasuk sekolah penghafal Al Qur’an yang memanfaatkan teknologi audio digital untuk menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar, ujian tahfidzul quran dan lomba lomba Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) yang biasanya diadakan di aula sekolah. Namun peralatan audio yang tersedia masih belum maksimal sehingga kualitas audio yang dihasilkan juga belum optimal. Pengeras suara yang dimiliki sebanyak 1 buah dengan daya sebesar 120 watt, kondisi pengaturan audio ini masih kurang sehingga perlu peningkatan kualitas manajemen audio melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat. Kegiatannya dalam bentuk pelatihan yang dapat memberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam manajemen audio digital, berupa pelatihan instalasi, revitalisasi peralatan, pemberian workshop dalam penggunaan dan perawatan peralatan audio kepada Pengelola Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Darul Wafa Mataram. Hasil kegiatannya menunjukkan bahwa kualitas audio yang dihasilkan semakin baik dari sebelumnya dan dapat digunakan untuk mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar serta kegiatan lomba tahfidzul Qur’an. Selain itu daya audio yang dihasilkan bertambah menjadi 240 watt.
