Abstract

This research aims to deepen understanding of theory in lectures through practicum. The practicum module was created to facilitate data retrieval during a practicum at the Electronics and Digital Laboratory, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Mataram, which was realized in the design of the logic gate and flip-flop experiment module, based on the logic gate and flip-flop experiment module, on logic gates using 7 IC namely AND gate (IC 7408), OR gate IC (IC 7432), NOT gate IC (IC 7404), NAND gate IC (IC 7400), NOR gate IC (IC 7402), XOR gate IC (IC 7486), XNOR gate IC (IC 74266), resistors, led indicators, and switches, on Flip-Flops using 2 logic gate ICs namely NOT gate IC (IC 7404), NAND gate IC (IC 7400), and a JK Flip- Flops (IC 7476), and clocks that use push buttons that have been connected to Arduino, resistors, led indicators, and switches, from the designed modules, the results show that the logic gates and flip-flop experiments are by the experimental steps and the truth table his.

Abstract

Water is a very important source of life for survival on earth. Clean water services are generally carried out by the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) which is distributed to each resident's house. The meter functions to measure and record how much debit has been used for the needs of each household. In addition customers feel that there is no cost transparency and cannot estimate the amount of fees that must be paid each month. The purpose of this study was to produce a system for monitoring PDAM water use and billing using the NodeMCU ESP8266 with the YF-S201 sensor. This digital water meter hardware is designed using a water flowmeter sensor (YF-S201) which will read the debit of water flowing from the customer's water meter, the results of reading the water flowmeter sensor in the form of pulses then by NodeMCU ESP8266 it becomes an accumulative debit with units of Volume Liters and Volume. Cubic meter. Displays on the LCD and on Telegram are in the form of flow, total liters, total cubic meters and costs. From the test results Based on the analysis of 10 samples the YF S201 sensor has the highest error of 3.00% and the lowest is 0.33% and the average error is 1.53% so that the accuracy of the YF-S201 sensor is 98%.

Abstract

Pests are one of the scourges that often lead to crop failure. Some challenges faced by farmers in growing rice include rat and bird pests. Therefore, this study designs a system to repel pests. It uses an ESP32 microcontroller connected to a PIR (Passive Infrared Sensor) to detect pest movement. When pests are detected, the system will activate several pest repelling components, including a buzzer to produce a sound that scares rats, an electrified wire fence to repel rats, and a servo that moves to repel birds, where the servo will also be active if an anemometer detects winds of 3000-4000 m/s. The tool is monitored in real time using Arduino Cloud IoT software connected to the internet. The purpose of monitoring is to determine the success of the tool in repelling pests. This prototype system has been tested on a small scale, with separate tests for rat and bird pests. The PIR sensor successfully detected pest movement within a range of up to 4 meters. From the testing on 8 birds, 5 were successfully repelled by the servo movement. For rats, the buzzer effectively disturbed rats up to a distance of 40 cm, and with the support of a high voltage module kit, rats were successfully repelled up to a distance of 80 cm. Then the pests can be monitored in real time using Arduino Cloud IoT software. Then field testing was conducted on the prototype for 6 days, where the development of the success rate of the tool was observed from 3 days without repelling and 3 days of repelling to find out the difference in the number of pests repelled. The results of the testing showed a decrease in rat and bird pests, with a decrease in the number of rats and birds detected.

Abstract

Design of the seven segment and shift register experimental module. The aim of designing this tool is to make it easier for Electrical Engineering students at Mataram University to retrieve data during practicum. Previously, students needed a long time to collect data, 20-30 minutes, after the existence of this tool, students only needed 10-15 minutes to collec data. In the data seven-segment experiment, the output displayed a seven segment display, while in the shift register experiment the output is shown by an LED indicator, including several subs such as the right shift register, left shift register, and circular shift register. This design uses IC MC14495, 7476, 7432, 7404 and 7408 equipped with several other components... so that output results are obtained that match the input provided.

Abstract

As a tradition that has long existed in the lives of the people of Dharmasraya Regency, the Alek Bajawek Tradition is always held only on certain days. This research aims to reveal the Alek Bajawek Tradition in Kenagarian Koto Baru Dharmasraya. In contrast to the implementation of other traditions which involve all people in every procession, the Alek Bajawek tradition can only be carried out by certain people, such as Urang Nan Ampek Jinih. The research method used in this writing is the historical research method, with data collection carried out directly in the field through interviews and observation as primary sources. Meanwhile, researchers obtain secondary sources through the library. Then in the historical method there are several stages that must be carried out, such as heuristics, source criticism, analysis and writing. The results of this research explain the beginning of the emergence of the Alek Bajawek tradition at the same time as the Koto Besar Kingdom in Koto Baru Dharmasraya District, the existence of the Alek Bajawek tradition as a special tradition in the form of respect from the community for Urang Nan Ampek Jinih and is usually called Alek Gadang or Alek Rajo . However, this phenomenon indirectly makes a difference in the social status between a king or other leading figure and ordinary people.

Abstract

Beton merupakan material yang tepat digunakan dalam konstruksi di wilayah laut. Akan tetapi kandungan klorida dalam air laut merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan penurunan durablilitas beton. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh subtitusi steel slag pada beton High Volume Fly Ash - Self Compacting Concrete (HVFA-SCC) terhadap variasi konsentrasi perendaman klorida ditinjau dari nilai kuat tekan dan kuat lentur. Konsentrasi klorida dalam perendaman memakai variasi 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, dan air murni sebagai kontrol. Prosentase fly ash yang digunakan sebesar 50% dari total volume bahan pengikat dan prosentase steel slag sebesar 20% dari total volume agregat kasar. Pengujian beton segar meliputi slump flow dan L-Box. Pengujian kuat tekan dan kuat lentur dilakukan pada umur beton 28 hari setelah sampel beton direndam pada perendaman larutan klorida. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa substitusi steel slag sebesar 20% untuk mengganti agregat kasar pada HVFA-SCC menghasilkan beton segar dengan workability yang lebih tinggi dibanding menggunakan 100% kerikil. Substitusi steel slag pada HVFA-SCC tidak menurunkan nilai kuat tekan dan kuat lentur pada seluruh variasi konsentrasi perendaman klorida sehingga steel slag dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pemanfaatan bahan limbah untuk substitusi bahan beton di area dengan serangan klorida.

Abstract

This study critically evaluates and analyzes the historical writings of al-Mas'udi, focusing on his influence on historical writings in the classical Islamic era. The author is interested in examining al-Mas'udi's contributions in his works, particularly on Islamic historiography from the classical period. The researcher uses an approach that is considered appropriate for this study, namely a qualitative approach using analytical descriptive techniques and assisted by literature review. The purpose of this article is to provide an assessment and critical analysis of al-Mas'udi's influence on historical writing in the classical Islamic era, with a particular focus on his bibliography and writing techniques or methods. And through his travels and research, played a major role in Classical Islamic historiography with his major works. Although criticized for its consistency and the dirayah method used, his work remains valuable as a source of knowledge about Islamic history and geography. Al-Mas'udi's Muktazilah influence has also created his distinguishing thematic approach, which reflects the general Muslim worldview of his time. The evolution of history writing in Islam is reflected in the shift from the historical method to the dirayah method, which emphasizes direct experience and factors influencing historical events used by Al-Mas'udi.

Abstract

Risk management in the context of building the strength of the Indonesian Navy is a crucial element that influences the success and sustainability of their strategic projects. In an effort to understand and manage risk more effectively, this research was conducted with the aim of exploring the risk management practices implemented by the Indonesian Navy in building their force. The research method used is a qualitative approach using interviews as the main data collection technique. The background to this research involves the complexity and high risks associated with military projects, including technical, environmental, and security risks. The aim of this research is to identify best practices in risk management that can be applied in the context of building Indonesian Navy forces, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of existing mitigation strategies. The results of this research show that the risk identification process was carried out comprehensively by considering various factors such as technical, environmental and security analysis. Risk evaluation is carried out by involving various stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of the probability of risk occurrence and its impact on project objectives. Effective mitigation strategies are based on the use of advanced technology, careful planning, and close collaboration between the Indonesian Navy, contractors and other related parties.

Abstract

The Radicalism and religious intolerance are issues that remain hot into the 21st century in Indonesia. The doctrine of radical and intolerant thinking can influence the diversity that Indonesia has, especially the spearheads of the nation such as the younger generation. Apart from that, technological developments are a new culture that lives in the era of globalization, so it does not rule out the possibility that the role of technology can influence the lives of religious communities in Indonesia. This article uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. Research sources were obtained from books, literature reviews, journals, legal regulations, laws, print media, the internet and so on. The analysis technique in this research uses a theory according to J. Toynbee, known as challenge and response theory. There are three data analysis techniques in this research, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that radicalism and religious intolerance are cases that need to be anticipated in the era of globalization. The growing influence of technology among the younger generation has become a powerful weapon in the development of radicalism and religious intolerance in Indonesia. Therefore, further knowledge is needed regarding the benefits of technology in the era of globalization, for the younger generation amidst the rise of radicalism and religious intolerance

Abstract

Purpose. This research aims to investigate the prominent Ulama figures who have played significant leadership roles in Indonesian society throughout history. These Ulama have been instrumental in various aspects, including social, political, and religious realms. The article delves into the evolution of research publications related to the struggles of Ulama from 2010 to 2023.Methodology. The method employs a descriptive bibliometric analysis focused on the struggle of Ulama, using specific keywords like “Perjuangan” and “Ulama” on the Dimensions platform, within the timeframe of 2010 to 2023.Results and discussion. The results reveal fluctuations in the number of publications, ranging from a peak of 786 in 2018 to only 70 in 2023, with a significant spike in 2017. The research network involves three clusters of authors, highlighting diversity in the field. Overlay Visualization demonstrates strong author relationships, with some forming influential networks. The Indonesian Institute of Science had a notable impact on many writers. Density Visualization identifies active authors and Co-occurrence analysis reveals four keyword clusters, with “Islam” and “Indonesia” as primary foci. A trend shift occurred in 2020, with new keywords gaining prominence such as “Education, Women, Politic, and Law”. These data shows that research on the theme of the ulama's struggle still has many opportunities.Conclusions. The bibliometric analysis of ulama struggle research (2010-2023) provides information about publication fluctuations, close collaboration. Diversity, changing trends, and research potential that has not yet been fully explored regarding the struggles of ulama  is used to encourage and determine the focus for further research on the struggles of ulama.
