Abstract

The tilapia rearing process requires optimal water temperature quality for good growth. The optimal water temperature for tilapia rearing is 26°C - 32°C. Temperatures that are too low or too high can cause growth disorders and even death in tilapia. Manual monitoring of tilapia rearing pond water temperature by the pond owner is often inefficient because it requires regular visits. Based on this problem, this research aims to design an automatic tilapia water temperature monitoring system using Internet of Things (IoT) technology that can work automatically and in real-time. The data used in this research is collected through the reading of the pond water temperature by the DS18B20 temperature sensor installed in the tilapia rearing pond. This monitoring system is designed using ESP32 as the main microcontroller, DS18B20 temperature sensor, heater, relay, and LCD. The results showed that the system succeeded in maintaining the optimal water temperature for tilapia. When the water temperature is below 26°C the heater will automatically turn on to warm the pool water temperature and the heater will automatically turn off when the temperature is above 30°C. The average temperature monitored in this study is 28.90 ° C, with successful notifications sent via telegram bot every five minutes and real-time pond water temperature data via LCD.

Abstract

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Primary Bone Lymphoma (PBL) is quite difficult to assess treatment responses because of limited access to 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT). Therefore, this study intends to highlight one case regarding alternative imaging modalities, such as technetium-99m methylene diphosphonate (99mTc-MDP) and technetium-99m methoxyisobutyl isonitrile (99mTc-MIBI), for activity assessment in tumors as well as their involvement in the marrow. CASE: A 17-year-old male with persistent pain and swelling in the left knee over one month underwent a bone biopsy that confirmed the diagnosis of Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) in the tibia. The patient was subjected to chemotherapy using cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (CHOP), followed by radiotherapy. PET/CT was unavailable; therefore, metabolic tumor evaluation was performed through 99mTc-MDP and 99mTc-MIBI scintigraphy for tumor activity and bone marrow involvement assessment. Bone scintigraphy with 99mTc-MDP showed increased tracer uptake in the proximal left tibia and distal left femur, indicating ongoing tumor activity. These findings were reinforced by the further assessment with 99mTc-MIBI, which confirmed high metabolic activity in these areas. Subsequently, a bone marrow biopsy evidenced infiltrative lymphoblasts constituting 24.8 percent infiltrating the involved marrow space, thus confirming the bone marrow being infiltrated. Hence, this patient received additional rituximab treatment to enhance treatment outcome. CONCLUSION: This case portrays the difficulties one faces while evaluating the treatment response in Primary Bone Lymphoma (PBL), as well as the role of 99mTc-MDP and 99mTc-MIBI scintigraphy as alternative metabolic imaging modalities in the absence of PET/CT.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the stemma method in philological studies and analyze the application of this method in researching ancient texts, especially in the aspect of manuscript genealogy. This paper arises in response to the challenges philologists often face when trying to determine the most appropriate method for their research into manuscripts. The presence of various methodological options can often confuse researchers and make them feel disoriented in their research. Therefore, this paper aims to provide guidance to readers in determining the appropriate steps in philological research, especially in the context of manuscripts that are considered ancient or old. One of the methods that will be discussed in detail is the use of Stemma, which is a very useful tool in uncovering the autograph authenticity of ancient manuscripts. By utilizing the Stemma method in research, researchers can take concrete steps to identify and analyze genealogical relationships between various ancient texts. This can help them achieve a deeper understanding of the origins and development of the texts, as well as identify the most authentic or authentic versions. Thus, through a better understanding of the theory, methodology and practical applications of philology, it is hoped that researchers will not feel confused or lost in their research, especially when they are dealing with texts that have a long and complex history.

Abstract

This paper discusses the development of the spatial structure and layout of the city of Padang over time, from its early formation phase, through the colonial period, the era of independence, and into the post-independence period. The study employs a systematic historical approach through four main stages: heuristics (source collection), criticism (source evaluation and verification), interpretation (analysis of meaning and relationships between data), and historiography (narrative and analytical historical writing). The research findings indicate that the city of Padang has undergone significant changes in physical, social, economic, and functional aspects. The colonial period stands out as one of the most decisive phases, during which Padang rapidly developed as a center of government, trade, military, and transportation on the west coast of Sumatra. This development was driven by several strategic factors, including advantageous geographical location, well-organized colonial governance, the influx of migrants from various ethnic backgrounds, and the construction of urban infrastructure. Interactions between local residents and outsiders also enriched the city's cultural configuration and identity. Thus, this study provides a comprehensive and in-depth picture of how Padang has transformed over time as a result of a long, complex historical process influenced by various internal and external dynamics.

Abstract

Tin mining activities on Bangka Island, which have persisted since the colonial era, have made a significant contribution to Indonesia’s national economy. However, the dominance of marine space by mining concessions has triggered ecological and social conflicts at the local level. This article aims to analyze the dynamics of coastal community resistance against the expansion of tin mining in the waters of Batu Beriga Village, Central Bangka, through the lens of spatial production. Drawing on the socio-spatial approaches of Henri Lefebvre and David Harvey, this study explores how the state and corporations construct the sea as a commodity through exclusionary spatial planning policies. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis. The findings reveal that the dominance of marine space by mining companies, enabled by exclusionary spatial policies, has led to spatial exclusion and the marginalization of traditional fishers. The forms of resistance that have emerged reflect community efforts to reclaim their living space from exploitative capitalist power. This study contributes to the literature on socio-ecological conflicts in coastal areas and expands critical discourse on the production of space in the context of natural resource governance in Indonesia.

Abstract

Human resource development must be fair and involve all levels of society including gender. Gender economic development involves the involvement of men and women as subjects of development, which must be equal. Gender inequality in development has created poverty in women's groups, making women powerless in the public sector. The poverty and powerlessness of women, which result from economic development that is not based on gender equality, can be reduced by increasing the role of women in economic development. Development strategies that can be a solution by increasing the role of women are women's empowerment, where women are given equal access and opportunities in the development process. One is women's empowerment based on the creative economy with knitting and embroidery crafts to create an increase in hard and soft skills in producing products of economic value. Partners in community service activities are women who are members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga / PKK) of Desa Kace Timur, and the theme carried out in the service activities is women’s empowerment based on the creative economy through knitting and embroidery crafts. The results of the training transmission and embroidery activities showed an increase in the ability of training participants to produce knitted or embroidered products; thus, it had great potential to create a creative economy in women's groups who were members of the Family Welfare Empowerment group in Desa Kace Timur.
