Abstract

RSPO is sustainable. It is one of many certification labels to justify a sustainable palm oil practice. The objective of this study is to identify monetary benefit and cost with the existing operating scenario of the company, or if the company is registered as the RSPO member. To identify the benefit or cost that might occur, this research compared the NPV, IRR, and benefit-cost ratio among the alternative scenarios. An ex-ante projective cash flow is simulated using the company’s historical financial report from year 2012-2016 to obtain monetary perspective of the amount of money required by the plantation to proceed with certification. Certification should cost the plantation around 466 billion rupiahs with only 66 billion rupiahs of additional income from CPO premium if the company is able to complete its certification by 2019. Total benefit of income obtained from selling the certified products of CPO and PKO may cover the certification expense which does not exceed the cost paid with the discrepancy of 331 billion rupiahs. This amount can be used to establish another palm oil plantation, create jobs and contribute to domestic products. However, the net monetary loss is close to the value obtained from timber upon land clearing, which was at 286 billion rupiahs. Being sustainable is probably never about monetary value but more about the responsibility of managing the sustainable oil palm plantation and the environment that must be taken care of.Keywords: RSPO, oil palm plantation, cost and benefit analysis, oil palm in Papua, RSPO finansial benefit

Abstract

With the increasing public awareness of healthy lifestyles, the demand for organic agricultural products, especially vegetable products, currently continues to increase day by day. Therefore, it will require sufficient information and knowledge about the characteristics, preferences, and satisfaction of consumers with the attributes of organic vegetables to be used as a basis for understanding the needs for organic vegetable consumption. This study aimed to analyze consumer preference for organic vegetables and consumer satisfaction with organic vegetables' attributes. The data collection method used was the purposive sampling technique through distributing questionnaires to 140 respondents. Meanwhile, the data processing methods used in this study were conjoint analysis, IPA, and CSI. The result of the calculation of customer preference in this research showed that packaging was an indicator that had the highest level of importance at 28.99 percent. Hence, it needs innovation by describing the benefits and nutritional content of organic vegetables to increase consumer appeal. Based on IPA results, two attributes' performance had the highest priority to be improved by the company: affordable organic vegetable prices and organic vegetable discounts. Thus, the discounted prices are needed on specific days such as the Anniversary of the company and holidays. Furthermore, based on the CSI calculation results, the customers were considered satisfied with the performance of Top Buah Segar Cibubur. Abstract

Entrepreneurship is faced with the challenges of environmental dynamics in the TUNA era (Turbulence, Uncertainty, Novelty, and Ambiguity). This paper aims to analyze entrepreneurship development models in DKI Jakarta. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. This study uses a method with an analytical approach, Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM). The elements and sub-elements in the ISM questionnaire were obtained from discussions with experts, including local government, entrepreneurs, academics, and the community. The output of ISM analysis is the sub-elements' positions in the four quadrants of the diagram and the level structuring based on the follow-up priority. This study found that sub-elements comprised of bank financial institutions (Bank DKI), LPDB, entrepreneurial empowerment volunteers, universities (LPPM), and researchers (lecturers) were included in sector II (dependent). Other sub-elements like DPRD, kasatpel, the business community, non-bank financial institutions, entrepreneurial activists, influential figures, and the public were included in sector III (linkage). There are sub-elements in sector IV (independent), such as governors, mayors/regents, related agencies, business actors, e-commerce, online media, and endorsers. The ISM analysis results show that the sub actor with the highest influence level is the governor. It shows that the governor has a very strategic role in developing entrepreneurship in DKI Jakarta. Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide a holistic understanding of the contexts and theories applied in green purchase behavior studies. This research used PRISMA's systematic review method to analyze 76 empirical articles on green purchase intention and behavior from 2014 to 2019 across countries. This research is one of the first studies to cross-examine the context and theories applied in green purchase studies. For each theory applied, we present a brief description and recommendation for the future agenda of research agenda. Despite the breadth of previous studies' results, this review indicates that most studies investigated green products in general. Furthermore, the theory of planned behavior, the theory of perceived value, and the theory of personal value emerged as the three main theoretical frameworks of consumer green purchase behavior study across products and countries. The paper will help policymakers and managers formulate and implement strategies to encourage green purchasing and give insight into the future direction of green purchase study.
