Abstract

Background: Obesity is now no longer consi­dered a health problem in developed countries, but has also been faced by developing countries such as Indonesia. According to WHO, obesity worldwide has increased by more than two times from 1980. In 2016, there were 1.9 billion adults who were overweight and more than 600 million of them were obese or overweight. This study aims to analyze the effect of ear acu­puncture therapy on weight loss.Subjects and Method: This study was a systematic review and meta-analysis using the Randomized Controlled Trial design. The arti­cles used in this study were obtained from seve­ral databases including PubMed, Google Scholar, Springerlink, Hindawi, and Science­direct. The articles used in this study were those published from 2008-2020. The article search was carried out by considering the eli­gibility criteria defined using the PICO model. P: obese patients (BMI ≥25), I: ear acu­puncture therapy, C: no ear acupuncture thera­py O: weight loss. The keywords for searching articles are as follows: "auricular acupuncture", AND "obesity", "auricular acupuncture for obe­sity" and "acupuncture obesity randomized con­trolled trial". The articles included in this study are full text articles with a Randomized Con­trolled Trial. Articles were collected using PRISMA flow diagrams. Articles were analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3 application.Results: A total of 7 articles were reviewed in this study. The meta-analysis showed the results that ear acupuncture therapy was effec­tive for weight loss in obese people (SMD= -0.74; 95% CI= -1.31 to-0.16;  p<0.001). This meta-analysis combined primary research from Korea, Taiwan and Iran.Conclusion: Ear acupuncture therapy affects weight loss in obese people.Keywords: auricular acupuncture, obesity, randomized controlled trialCorrespondence: Utami Pangestu. Abstract

Background: The government's efforts to maintain and improve the highest health status with all resources in the health sector, including personnel, funds, facilities, phar­macy, medical devices, and technology, pro­vide quality health care. Community satis­faction as the service receiver is a comparison between the ser­vices received and the services expected. This study aimed to examine associations of perception towards doctors, nurses, and facilities with perceived quality and patient satisfaction on inpatient care at Nabire Hospital Papua.Subjects and Method: A cross-sectional study was con­ducted at Nabire Hospital, Papua, Indonesia, from March to May 2020. A sample of 207 inpatients was selected by stra­ti­fied random sampling based on the ty­pe of inpatient class I, II, and III.Results: Inpatient satisfaction was affected by age <50 years (b= -0.36; 95% CI= -1.63 to 0.91; p=0.579), type of non-BPJS insurance (b= 0.19; 95% CI= -0.80 to 1.19 p= 0.697), length of stay <7 days (b= -2.39; 95%CI= -3.86 to -0.92; p <0.001), patients’ perception towards adequate inpa­tient facilities (b=3.11; 95%CI=2.13 to 4.07; p <0.001), good quality of inpatient care (b= 2.74; 95% CI= 1.74 to 3.72; p <0.001). The good qua­lity of inpatient care was affected by male sex (b= 0.91; 95% CI= 0.10 to 1.72; p= 0.028), age <50 years (b= -0.24; 95% CI= -1.26 to 0.78; p= 0.644), type of BPJS insurance (b= 0.41; 95% CI= -1.22 to 0.39; p= 0.318), percep­tion towards adequate facilities (b= 1.85; 95% CI= 1.04 to 2.65; p<0.001), good perception to­wards nurses (b= 2.18; 95%CI= 1.04 to 3.33; p <0.001), and good perception towards doc­tors (b= 1.68; 95% CI= 0.89 to 2.47; p <0.001). The good perception towards doc­tors was affected by the education of patients ≥Senior High School (b= 1.16; 95% CI= 0.31 to 1.83; p= 0.005).Conclusion: Inpatient satisfaction is affected by age <50 years, type of non-BPJS insurance, length of stay <7 days, perception towards ade­quate facilities, and good quality of inpatient care.Keywords: Quality, satisfaction, inpatient, path analysisCorrespondence: Agustina Utii. Abstract

Background: Consuming healthy food throughout life helps prevent malnutrition in all forms of various diseases. In the first 2 years of a child's life, optimal nutrition fosters healthy growth. Vegetables and fruit are food sources that contain many nutrients that humans must consume at every meal. EHealth is playing an increasingly large role in life and the internet has great potential to be a source of low cost and effective health promotion interventions.Subjects and Method: This study was a meta-analysis of a number of Randomized Controlled Trial study designs. The articles used in this study were obtained from several databases including PubMed, Google Scholar, and Springer Link. The articles used in this research are those published from 2010-2020. The article search was carried out by con­sidering the eligibility criteria defined using the PICO model. The population in the study was children aged 2 to 12 years old with an inter­vention in the form of web-based health promotion, comparison, which was not given a web outcome-based health promotion interven­tion in the form of vegetables consumption. The keywords for finding articles are as follows: "Intervention Health Promotion Web-Based" OR "eHealth Intervention" AND "Non-Inter­vention Health Promotion Web-Based" OR "Non eHealth Intervention" AND "Child" AND "Vegetables" AND "Randomized Controlled Trial”. The articles included in this study were full text articles with the design of a Rando­mized Controlled Trial (RCT) study. Articles were collected using PRISMA flow diagrams. Articles were analyzed using the Review Mana­ger 5.3 application.Results: A total of 9 articles were reviewed in this study. Meta-analysis of 9 primary data shows that web-based health promotion inter­ventions can increase children's vegetable con­sumption with statistically significant results (Standarized Mean Difference= 0.82; 95% CI= 0.26 to 1.37; p= 0.004).Conclusion: Web-based health promotion interventions can increase vegetables consump­tion in children.Keywords: Intervention Health Promotion Web-Based, eHealth, vegetables consumptionCorrespondence: Sinar Perdana Putra.
