Abstract

The fatwa on the prohibition of inter-religious greetings issued by the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) in English Indonesian Theologian Council has caused controversy in the context of inter-religious relations in Indonesia. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the fatwa on Islamic family law and social harmony, focusing on the intolerance caused by interfaith interactions. Using a qualitative approach, this study conducted a content analysis of the text of the Indonesian Theologian Council fatwa and literature related to maqashid al-syariah and Islamic family law. Data were obtained through a documentation study of Indonesian Theologian Council fatwas, books, articles, and academic publications. The analysis technique involved identifying the main themes in the fatwa, comparing them with maqashid al-syariah principles, and evaluating their impact on multicultural family relationships and social harmony. The results show that this fatwa, although aimed at protecting Islamic identity, has the potential to cause tension in family relationships that have members with different religious backgrounds and undermine social harmony. The research emphasizes the need for open dialogue between scholars, academics and the community to find a more inclusive and tolerant solution. A more moderate approach is hoped to be adopted to create interfaith harmony and maintain harmony in Indonesia's multicultural society.

Abstract

This research found that the Norma of Riba in Islamic Economics is a khilafiyah problem as well as the law of Bank Interest, in principle, mutual tolerance and mutual respect and respect for inter-opinions must be put forward. This is because each group of ulama has devoted their energy to seeking the law of the problem, and in the end their opinion remains different. Profit sharing norms in Islamic economics are an innovative step in an Islamic economy that is not only in accordance with people's behavior, but more than that profit sharing is a social balance step in obtaining economic opportunities. Thus, the profit sharing system can be seen as a more effective measure to prevent conflict between the rich and the poor from occurring in social life. The impact of Bank Interest (Riba) on the Country's Economy, among others, has an impact on several sectors including the Economic Impact. The higher the interest rate, the higher the price to be set on an item. Social Impact, the social impact of society related to Riba in terms of unfair income. Impact of Company Resilience, only companies that have resilience will survive

Abstract

This research aims to build the value of rahmatan lil 'alamin in Indonesian economic development at 4.0 era from the perspective of philosophy and shariah economic law. The role of both is considered important regarding with freedom to do any economic activities in Indonesia as the non-Islamic state in the formal term yet at the same time is known as a sharia economic community due to its world’s largest Moslem population. This literature-normative research is qualitative with a statutory, historical, comparative and conceptual approach. It found that first, rahmatan lil 'alamin (sheltering the entire ummah and not exclusive to Moslem only) value enables the philosophy of Islamic law to contribute in developing Indonesian economy. The goal of Islam as a religion to guide its believers toward the happiness of the world and the hereafter and the triangle concept among philosophy of God, human, and nature, for example, make it possible for Islamic economic with its rahmatan lil 'alamin values to cover deficiencies of the conventional economic system. Second, the philosophy of rahmatan lil 'alamin in Islamic economics can be manifested by organizing social services, such as waqf, relying on the spirit of building justice in life, narrowing social gaps, as well as enlivening Islamic values. In the era of 4.0, implementation of the value can be adjusted to recent demands and situations, such as cash waqf, halal industry, halal food, halal tourism and so on(Riset ini bertujuan menggali nilai-nilai rahmatan lil ‘alamin dalam perekonomian Indonesia era 4.0 menurut tinjauan filsafat dan hukum ekonomi syariah.

Abstract

The MUI fatwa related to interreligious greetings has created polemics in Indonesian society, particularly in the context of Islamic moderation. This fatwa prohibits interreligious greetings which are considered to damage the purity of Islamic teachings that affect social relations, especially in families that have different beliefs. This article aims to analyse the impact of the MUI fatwa on the dynamics of family law in Indonesia, especially on families who have different beliefs and their relevance to the principles of Islamic moderation in the context of family law. This article uses a qualitative approach with an analysis of the content of the MUI fatwa related to greetings in family law, and interviews with family law experts and religious leaders who understand the implications of the fatwa on family relations in interfaith Indonesian society. This article shows that the MUI Fatwa causes tension in families of different beliefs regarding interfaith greetings. This fatwa also shows the tension between maintaining religious identity and maintaining family harmony. In the context of family law, this fatwa affects basic principles such as respect for religious differences and the values of inclusivity in families of different religions. This article offers a new perspective that connects the MUI fatwa related to interfaith greetings with family law in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research examines the transformation of meanings and practices of elopement among Indonesian youth, which has shifted from being a stigma to becoming a pragmatic solution in facing contemporary socio-economic challenges. Through comparative analysis across 18 different regions in Indonesia, this research reveals how elopement has evolved from being traditionally stigmatized to an increasingly accepted alternative for young couples. Utilizing a mixed-method approach combining document analysis, semi-structured interviews with 10 young couples, and comparative regional studies, this research identifies three primary economic drivers: rising costs of traditional weddings (ranging from 20 to 500 million rupiah), pressure to own a house before marriage, and changing financial priorities among youth. The findings indicate that urban youth are actively reinterpreting traditional practices to meet modern demands while maintaining cultural legitimacy. This research documents various regional terms and practices, from merariq in Lombok, which is considered honorable, to silariang in Bugis/Makassar society, which is still viewed as a disgrace. This transformation reflects broader changes in Indonesian society, where pragmatic considerations increasingly take precedence over traditional cultural rules, although elements of traditional practices are often preserved through modified forms that accommodate both cultural heritage and modern realities.

Abstract

The impact of changing times is so great, such as the 4.0 era as it is today for children, teenagers, and parents, who need to adapt to the current era. And it would be nice for us to provide an overview and understanding to our children in a way that is appropriate for their age in order to be able to grasp what we mean. And we should educate more with tenderness and love, the position of parents in developing children's nature, the implications of which in the 4.0 era are very important because with that we can be closer and easier in providing education. The educational method that we use may be done in realizing a disciplined and independent child's personality which stems from the child's desire to achieve happiness in the world and the hereafter. This research method is library research with the object of the verses of the Qur'an using several interpretations from the commentators including: Tafsir Jalalain Tafsir Ibn Kathir Tafsir Al-Maraghi to uncover and explore the Position of Parents in the Al-Qur'an, Role Parents in Developing Children's Fitrah, and Implications of the Role of Parents in Developing Children's Fitrah in the 4.0 era. The results of the study show that 1) The view of Islamic education regarding the nature of the child means that the position of the child has two opposing sides. One side of the child is the trust of Allah entrusted to the parents. On the other hand, children are nature for the lives of parents in particular and society and the environment in general. 2) The implications of the position of parents in developing children's nature, the implications of which in the 4.0 era are a necessity, as mufassir views and opinions Salaf scholars have different opinions in interpreting the word fitrah, the majority argue that the meaning of fitrah is Islam. So that it has become a joint obligation for parents to maintain the mandate of Allah SWT in the form of children, which in the 4.0 era children must be monitored and supervised to ensure that the child's behavior (behavior) as a child who was born naturally (good) in origin.
