Abstract

Analisis multivariat seperti cluster dan nMDS sering digunakan untuk membantu interpretasi data lingkungan, sedangkan struktur komunitas vegetasi tumbuhan sangat berguna dalam mendeskripsikan ekologi suatu ekosistem, sehingga kajian penilaian analisis cluster dan nMDS terhadap struktur komunitas mangrove Desa Bagan Serdang dilakukan pada bulan September 2021. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas mangrovenya berdasarkan analisis cluster dan nMDS. Vegetasi mangrove dikumpulkan dengan menarik transek kuadran yang tegak lurus garis pantai, kemudian data vegetasi mangrove dievaluasi menggunakan cluster dan nMDS. Keanekaragaman mangrove Desa Bagan Serdang teridentifikasi sebanyak 5 spesies dengan 4 famili, dimana penyebaran mangrovnya tergolong sesekali ditemukan (rata-rata frekuensi relatifnya 20,00%). Zona paling depan didominasi oleh Avicennia lanata, zona tengah didominasi oleh Rhizophora apiculata dan zona belakang didominansi oleh Rhizophora mucronata. Kerapatan mangrovenya berkisar antara 22,22 – 1222,22 ind/ha dan INP berkisar antara 9,64 – 231,78% dengan kerapatan vegetasi zona depan maupun tengah membentuk satu kelompok yang mengindikasikan kondisi kerapatannya hampir sama. Selanjutnya untuk INP, vegetasi zona depan dan tengah membentuk satu kelompok dengan spesies yang berperan penting adalah A. lanata serta R. apiculata, sedangkan di zona belakang, spesies yang berperan pentingnya adalah R. mucronata, E. agallocha dan X. granatum. Selain itu, basal area vegetasi mangrove Desa Bagan Serdang berkisar antara 278,22 – 654,35 m2/ha dengan basal area vegetasi zona depan maupun belakang memiliki tingkat kedewasaan yang hampir sama, sehingga membentuk satu kelompok. Kajian ini mengungkapkan adanya komposisi spesies mangrove campuran dengan perkembangan kedewasaan mangrovenya berbeda-beda. Data yang diinfokan dalam kajian ini akan menjadi baseline pengelolaan mangrove di Desa Bagan Serdang dan upaya konservasi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara maupun Indonesia.  Multivariate analyses such as clusters and nMDS are frequently used to facilitate in the interpretation of environmental data. In contrast, the community structure of plant vegetation is immensely useful in describing the ecology of an ecosystem. In September 2021, studies on the mangrove community structure of Bagan Serdang Village were conducted using cluster analysis and nMDS. It proposes to use cluster analysis and nMDS to determine the structure of the mangrove community. Mangrove vegetation was collected by pulling quadrant transects perpendicular to the shoreline, and the data was analyzed using clusters and nMDS. The diversity of mangroves in Bagan Serdang Village was identified as 5 species with 4 families, with mangrove distribution classified as occasional (average relative frequency of 20,00%). Avicennia lanata dominates the front zone, Rhizophora apiculata dominates the middle zone, and R. mucronata dominates the back zone. The mangrove density ranges from 22,22 to 1222,22 ind/ha, and the INP ranges from 9,64 to 231,78%, with the vegetation density in the front and middle zones forming one group that shows nearly the same density conditions. Furthermore, for the INP, the front and middle zone vegetation formed a group with species that played an important role which were A. lanata and R. apiculata, while species that played an important role in the rear zone were R. mucronata, E. agallocha, and X. granatum. Furthermore, the basal area of the mangrove vegetation in Bagan Serdang Village ranges from 278,22 to 654,35 m2/ha, with the basal area of the vegetation zones front and back having nearly the same maturity level, forming a single group. This study reveals the presence of a mixed mangrove species composition with different mangrove maturity developments. The data presented in this study will be the baseline for mangrove management in Bagan Serdang Village and conservation efforts in North Sumatra Province and Indonesia.

Abstract

Phytoplankton blooms in the lake cause ecological, economic, health, energy, and aesthetic losses. It reduces water quality and biota diversity, creates toxins in the waters, and changes the structures and functions of the ecosystem. The essential nutrients for the growth of phytoplankton are nitrogen and phosphorus. Controlling phytoplankton growth can be managed by controlling the limiting nutrient input. This study aims to identify the limiting nutrient, analyze variations in TN:TP ratio spatially and temporally, and model TN:TP ratio and chlorophyll-a relationship. This study used secondary data from previous studies, namely TN, TP, and chlorophyll-a observed monthly in seven stations purposively during a year. Rainfall data was also obtained from the previous study. Limiting nutrients were determined by Redfield theory, and data were analyzed by Spearman correlation, One-way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis, and regression analysis. The results showed phosphorus was a limiting nutrient for phytoplankton growth in Lake Laut Tawar. TN:TP ratio and chlorophyll-a did not vary spatially, indicating the lake surface waters were evenly mixed. The parameters varied temporally, expressing the influence of hydroclimatological factors, especially rainfall. Rainfall increases nutrient input to the lake, but only rain below 200 mm/month causes an increase in the concentration of nutrients in the lake. The rainfall above 200 mm/month increases lake water volume significantly, thereby reducing nutrient concentrations. TN:TP ratio and chlorophyll-a related negatively and formed a non-linear relationship with an empirical model Chlorophyll-a = 2770.285 (TN/TP)-1.871. Abstract

COVID-19, which was declared  a  pandemic globally by WHO, is one    of  the  family of viruses that  attack  humans,  namely  attacking the human respiratory  tract.  In  March,  Indonesia  was  horrified by COVID-19. Therefore,    the  Indonesian  government imposed  rules  for the community to implement  Work  From  Home  (WFH) which  is  part of the Enactment of Restrictions on Community Activities  (PPKM)  to  reduce  the  increasing  growth  rate COVID-19 cases.   The impact   of  this  policy is that  it  can  cause  a  food crisis.  One of    the efforts  that  can be  done  to  prevent  the occurrence of  food  crisis  is    budikdamber  (fishcultivation   in  ember) and  aquaponics  with the discovery  of  agricultural  and  fishery  techniques that are as  healthy as budikdamber  and  aquaponics  are expected to    help  face  the current  problems.  This activity    has  many  benefits,  including the  fulfillment of    household  needs  and improving the  family economy.  People who  succeed  with  bukdidamber  techniques can create  business  opportunities  and  increase the development amid the  COVID-19  pandemic as it is now. After conducting  Budikdamber   (FishCultivation   in  Ember) and  Aquaponics  activities  in  Kedung  Soka Village,  Pulo  Ampel Subdistrict,  Serang  Regency, which  was carried out  by  KKM Bina Bangsa  Group  35  Participants in Kedung  Soka Village,  the  Kedung  Soka  community was very  enthusiastic  to  participate in the training of Making Catfish  Cultivation  in Ember. Through the  training,    the community  got new skills.   related to  overcoming  the  economic   crisis caused  by  the Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The most crucial aspect of managing an ecosystem or habitat is knowledge about accompanying biota, such as snails. The research on mangrove snails in the KPH Region III Aceh City of Langsa area was conducted in November 2021 with the goal of evaluating species diversity, density, ecological index, distribution, and their link to surrounding environmental conditions. Snail data was obtained via quadrat transects, with observation stations established using purposive sampling.The snail diversity was found to be five species from four families, with the highest density found in N. planospira (03.13 ind/m2). The diversity index was low (H' ‰¤ 2.0), dominance was moderate (0.5 < C ‰¤ 0.75), and uniformity tended to be balanced (0.5 < E ‰¤ 0.75). The distribution pattern is clustered (Iδ> 1), with C. cingulata being abundant (83.33%), and C. capucinus being frequently found (50.00%), N. planospiraonly found occasionally (36.11%), and L. scabra and T. telescopium are relatively uncommon (11.11% and 0.56%, respectively), with a link to environmental variables indicating that T. telescopium prefers fine mud substrates. Meanwhile, C. cingulata, C. capucinus, L. scabra, and N. planospiralive in habitats with fine mud substrates that are more solid than T. telescopiums habitats.

Abstract

The study was conducted between August and September of 2021 in order to determine the density, ecological index, distribution pattern, geographic distribution, environmental factors, and the relationship between hermit crabs and environmental factors. Hermit crabs were gathered using a quadratic transect and sample plots, while environmental variables were measured in situ. PCA and CCA multivariate statistics were used to determine the characteristics and correlation between hermit crabs and environmental factors. Hermit crabs were discovered to be comprised of two species (Clibanariuslongitarsus and C. infraspinatus) and one family (Diogenidae), with the highest density found in the C. longitarsus species (1.22 ± 0.57 - 4.68 3.53 ind/m2), diversity index is categorized as moderate (2.0<H‰¤3.0), the dominance is low (0<C‰¤0.5), the distribution pattern is clustered (Iδ>1), the geographical distribution is abundant (>80%), and environmental factors are categorized as good. In addition, Stations I and II have high DO, TOM, mangrove density, C. longitarsus, and C. infraspinatus parameters, whereas Station III has high salinity, pH, and temperature, with salinity, mangrove density, and TOM being the most influential parameters on hermit crab density.

Abstract

<p>Seaweed is an important biological resource for human life, serving essential ecological functions, including providing shelter and feeding grounds for marine biota. Seaweed can be found in several Indonesian waters, growing naturally or through cultivation, including in the waters around Simeulue Island. This study aimed to assess the distribution of seaweed in relation to land suitability, using oceanographic parameters in Simeulue Island waters. The research was conducted at five stations within the West Teupah District, South Teupah District, and Alafan District. In situ measurements were taken to evaluate land suitability for seaweed growth based on oceanographic parameters such as current speed, depth, substrate type, salinity, temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen. Results indicated that seaweed in Simeulue Island waters is distributed along the coastline and attached to coral reefs and rocks at depths of 2-5 meters. The total area of seaweed distribution is approximately 351.83 hectares along a coastline of 206.12 km. The measured parameters of seaweed habitats include a pH of 7.7 to 7.9, salinity of 31-35.3 ppt, temperature of 20-30 °C, dissolved oxygen levels of 3-4.8 mg/L, depth of 2-5 meters, current speed of 0.10 to 0.60 m/s, and a sandy coral substrate. Based on these water quality and substrate parameters, the seaweed habitats in Simeulue Island are classified as highly suitable, with suitability values ranging from 64 to 82. The recorded environmental conditions collectively support optimal seaweed growth.</p>

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan memformulasikan indikator-indikator kesulitan belajar siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) dalam konteks pembelajaran pemrograman. Instrumen yang dikembangkan terdiri dari 23 indikator yang dikelompokkan ke dalam tiga elemen utama: pemahaman konsep dasar algoritma, keterampilan pemrograman, dan berpikir komputasional dalam tahapan problem solving. Validasi isi dilakukan oleh enam ahli yang memiliki latar belakang di bidang pendidikan dan informatika, dengan menggunakan skala penilaian 4 poin. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan Item-Level Content Validity Index (I-CVI) dan koefisien kappa modifikasi () untuk mengontrol kemungkinan kesepakatan yang terjadi secara kebetulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa seluruh item memiliki nilai I-CVI ≥ 0,83 dan  berkisar antara 0,82 hingga 1,00. Nilai Average-CVI sebesar 0,91 mengindikasikan bahwa instrumen memiliki validitas isi yang sangat baik. Berdasarkan saran dari para ahli, instrumen direvisi menjadi 43 butir indikator dengan nilai I-CVI dan sebesar 1,00. Instrumen ini dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut menjadi survei persepsi guru terhadap kesulitan belajar siswa atau menjadi dasar penyusunan tes diagnostik yang ditujukan langsung kepada siswa.

Abstract

Pelatihan digital marketing bagi santri pondok pesantren merupakan inisiatif strategis untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan santri dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk pemasaran. Dalam era digital yang terus berkembang, pemasaran digital menawarkan berbagai keuntungan, termasuk kemampuan untuk menjangkau pasar global dan efisiensi biaya. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang berbagai aspek digital marketing, seperti penggunaan media sosial, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), dan strategi konten. Melalui analisis kebutuhan awal, pelatih dapat mengidentifikasi area di mana santri memerlukan pengetahuan tambahan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan melalui sesi interaktif, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi untuk mengukur efektivitas program. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan santri merancang kampanye pemasaran yang efektif serta kepercayaan diri dalam menggunakan alat digital. Meskipun ada tantangan terkait akses teknologi, dukungan berupa program pelatihan sangat penting untuk memastikan keberhasilannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan modifikasi roll pengupas dan uji kinerja mesin pengupas buah pinang kering untuk membuktikan pengaruh jumlah mata pengupas terhadap hasil pengupasan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen rancangan acak yang terdiri dari dua faktor utama diantaranya adalah jumlah mata pengupas (10 ; 14; 18), perbandingan pulley (1:1 , 1:2 , 2:1) dengan variasi pengujian. Untuk setiap variasi variabel bebas, dilakukan 3 kali pengulangan percobaan. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 20 buah pinang kering. Kecepatan putaran mesin, perbandingan puli, panjang dan bentuk mata pengupas dibuat sama untuk semua sampel. Hasil yang diamati meliputi persentase buah terkupas dengan biji utuh, persetase buah terkupas dengan biji pecah, dan persentase buah tidak terkupas. Hasil pengupasan terbaik adalah pada variasi roller pengupas III dengan jumlah mata pengupas 18, perbandingan puli 1:2, kecepatan putaran 1066 rpm. Hasil pengupasan terendah pada variasi roller pengupas I dengan jumlah mata pengupas 10, perbandingan puli 2:1, kecepatan putaran 2885 rpm. Jadi semakin banyak jumlah mata pengupas dan kecepatan putaran nya rendah maka persentase buah terkupas dengan biji utuh semakin besar. Sedangkan semakin panjang mata pengupas dan kecepatan nya tinggi maka persentase buah terkupas dengan biji pecah akan semakin besar.

Abstract

Introduction: Eco-friendly cafes are a concern in supporting sustainable tourism. This study examines cafes in Jambi City based on Permenparekraf No. 10 of 2014 and the Green Practice concept. Purpose: to analyze the suitability of the implementation of cafe business standards and environmentally friendly principles that cover aspects of products, services, management, as well as Green Action, Green Food, and Green Donation. Method: The study used the Stratified Simple Random Sampling method with Proportional Allocation, involving 30 out of 150 cafes in Jambi City. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively with the Compliance Checklist and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Result and Discussion: The results show that the product aspect has been implemented very well, while the service and management aspects still need to be improved, especially in the management, HR, and infrastructure indicators. The IPA conformity value of 91.66% indicates quite good performance. Of the 40 attributes analyzed, 4 attributes from Green Action and Green Donation require special attention, while Green Food has been implemented very satisfactorily. . Conclusion: The implementation of environmentally friendly principles in cafes in Jambi City is quite good, but there is still room for improvement, especially in terms of service, management, and certain green practices.
