Abstract

Vehicle rental services still face various obstacles such as limited accessibility, manual management, and the absence of an integrated system. This study aims to develop a multi-platform web and mobile-based application model that can improve the efficiency and transparency of vehicle rental services. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS). Research data was obtained from direct interviews with rental owners and surveys of 21 potential users. The test results showed an average usability score of 79.4 out of 100, which is in the “good” category. This indicates that the developed application model is superior to the previous models (SDLC and RAD), which were only tested through black-box testing without measuring user usability. With these results, the research successfully introduced an R&D-based application development model that is measurable through SUS, thereby contributing scientifically to improving the effectiveness of the digital vehicle rental system.

Abstract

This study explores the practice of profit-sharing between boat owners (juragan) and shrimp fishermen in Kampung Laut, Kuala Jambi District, through the lens of Islamic law. Rooted in a traditional system based on verbal agreements and mutual trust, this cooperation reflects a localized adaptation of the mudharabah contract, wherein the juragan provides the capital and the fishermen supply labor. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving key actors in the shrimp fishing sector. The findings reveal that while the operational model broadly aligns with the principles of mudharabah, several key aspects such as the absence of written agreements, the burden of loss occasionally falling on fishermen, and moral risks like dishonesty diverge from Islamic legal norms. These deviations highlight a gap between local economic practices and the doctrinal requirements of Sharia, particularly regarding justice, transparency, and equitable risk-sharing. Despite these shortcomings, the model remains effective and culturally resilient. This study contributes to the scholarly discourse by bridging empirical field insights with normative Islamic economic thought, offering a critical yet context-sensitive perspective on how Islamic principles are negotiated in real-world fishing economies.

Abstract

Limited access and flexibility in higher education, particularly in the field of Computer Science which demands analytical and technical skills, necessitate a more adaptive learning approach. This study aims to examine the influence of M-Learning on student learning outcomes and identify critical success factors (CSFs) that affect its implementation. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) through the planning, implementation, and reporting stages, with a publication range of 2020–2025. Analysis of ten studies showed that M-Learning significantly improved learning outcomes, motivation, and independence, especially for programming-based and applied science materials. This effectiveness is influenced by the quality of the pedagogical design, active learning approaches, and adequate technological support. This finding confirms that M-Learning is a relevant and effective learning strategy, with its success heavily dependent on pedagogical factors and infrastructure readiness.
