Abstract

Abstract

Sustainable learning should begin with strengthening basic skills such as reading, writing, and arithmetic (calistung). This is heavily influenced by the teaching methods, media, and teaching modules used. Adapting the content into student activities through modules is key to improving the quality of the learning process. In response to this issue, the Community Service Team (PkM) conducted a Training on Preparing Teaching Modules at the Swara Peduli Ceria Foundation, located in Klender, East Jakarta. This training aimed to assist educators at the learning center in developing relevant and impactful teaching modules for children. The activity was held at the Learning Center Hall of the Swara Peduli Ceria Foundation, with 15 participants attending. The training was carried out in five stages: (1) initial preparation, (2) activity presentation, (3) delivery of material, (4) activity evaluation, and (5) follow-up. Participants were given both theoretical materials and practical experience in developing teaching modules. The results showed an improvement in the participants' ability to design teaching modules that were appropriate for the needs of the children at the learning center. The final product, a collaboratively developed teaching module, was considered beneficial and practical for the educators to implement in their lessons. This activity provided a positive impact not only for the participants but also for the quality of learning at the center. The PkM program strengthened the role of higher education institutions in supporting sustainable education for the community. By helping educators in preparing suitable teaching materials and modules, the program contributed to enhancing the learning environment for children, ensuring that the education they receive aligns with their developmental needs. This initiative also highlights the importance of collaboration between universities and local educational institutions in improving education quality and fostering sustainable growth in the community.

Abstract

The rapid development of the digital world has entered an era of disruption, which has an impact on various sectors, including education. In Indonesia, digital transformation is considered important for the advancement of education, enabling cost efficiency, increased productivity, and better quality of education. One aspect of digital transformation in education is the adoption of digital libraries. Digital libraries are a replacement for manual systems in managing and accessing information, allowing users to access collections in digital format through computers. The digital library's collection includes a variety of document formats, such as text and images, as well as video recording media. One example of a popular digital library is Maktabah Syamilah, which provides thousands of books in various fields of Islamic scholarship. This program provides easy access and information search for users, especially students and researchers in the field of Islam. The use of Maktabah Syamilah has had a positive impact on the development and access to Islamic literature. However, in adopting a digital library, it is necessary to consider effective collection management strategies and efforts to meet the needs of quality information. Thus, digital libraries such as Maktabah Syamilah can be an efficient solution in meeting information needs in today's digital era.

Abstract

Film, in its narrowest definition, refers to the presentation of images on a large screen; however, in a broader context, it may also encompass those broadcast on television. As a mass medium, film is a complex form of audiovisual art. This study employs Roland Barthes' semiotic approach to explore the symbolic significance of the jasmine ronce necklace in Ryan Adriandy's film "Jumbo." The analysis is conducted through two levels: denotation and connotation, along with the concept of myth. The jasmine ronce necklace is interpreted not merely as a physical object but as a cultural and ideological signifier. Findings from this study reveal that the jasmine ronce necklace embodies spiritual meaning, the sanctity of love, and emotional depth, which together construct cultural myths within the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Malaria is still a public health problem both in Southeast Asia and other regions of the world. The emergence of resistance to several malaria drugs, including chloroquine. With the increase in malaria resistance, including chloroquine. With the increase in malaria drug resistance, many studies have been conducted to find new antimalarial compounds. One of them is propolis which contains luteolin 7-O glucoside which can inhibit the biosynthesis of parasitic type 2 fatty acids and chalcone can inhibit the hemolysis process. This study aims to examine the therapeutic potential of propolis single and combination with chloroquine in male Mus musculus infected with Plasmodium berghei. The single propolis tested were 30 mg/kgBW, 60 mg/kgBW and a combination of propolis.  This study is an experimental laboratory study with a post-test control group-only design. Comparison of parasitemia density with the 4-day suppression test method in all treatment groups with the Kruskal-Wallis test found a p-value <0.001. The results study showed that single propolis at a dose of 30 mg/kg BW was better than a dose of 60 mg/kg BW. Combination therapy between propolis and chloroquine at doses of  30 mg/kg BB and 60 mg/kg BB had significant results. The conclusion of this study shows that combination therapy of propolis at a dose of 30 mg/kg WB or a dose of 60 mg/kg BB with chloroquine has better antimalarial potential, so propolis is synergistic with chloroquine as an antimalarial.  Keywords: Propolis , Chloroquine, Plasmodium berghei, Parasitemia
