Abstract

The background of this study is based on the importance of human resource (HR) managerial strategies in enhancing the performance of healthcare workers. The productivity of healthcare workers is a crucial factor in ensuring the quality of hospital services, especially in military institutions such as Military Hospital Level IV Atambua, which face challenges such as high discipline, work pressure, and limited facilities. The aim to explore the managerial HR strategies that influence the productivity of healthcare workers, such as internal challenges, applied managerial strategies, management critique strategies, incentives, appreciation, work facilities, and work environment. The research design using an exploratory mixed-method approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and questionnaires with healthcare workers and management at the IV Army Hospital in Atambua. The analysis was then conducted thematically and quantitative data processed to identify patterns of managerial strategies and their impact on productivity. The findings shows that the human resource managerial strategy has been implemented through routine training, periodic evaluations, and a job rotation system. This strategy is considered effective in enhancing the skills of healthcare workers, although the distribution of training is not yet evenly distributed across all professions due to internal challenges. On the other hand, hospitals are also trying to provide supporting facilities, but still face constraints of limited medical equipment and comfortable work facilities. The system of incentives and appreciation is still lacking in the hospital environment. However, the aspects of communication and management involvement are still perceived to be suboptimal. The study concludes indicates a strong correlation between human resource management strategies and job satisfaction among healthcare workers, which ultimately impacts work productivity. Enhancing the incentive system, welfare programs, and internal communication are key factors in strengthening the performance of healthcare workers in military hospitals.

Abstract

The level of public awareness of dental and oral health in Indonesia is still relatively low, as indicated by the high prevalence of dental disorders and minimal access to dental health services. This study aims to explore the role of education in increasing public awareness of the importance of dental and oral care. The study used a mixed methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, starting from a qualitative study through in-depth interviews with 10 informants, then continued with a quantitative survey of 60 respondents in the Bonebobakal Health Center work area, Central Sulawesi. The results showed that education delivered by health workers, especially through direct counseling and visual media such as leaflets and videos, was able to increase public knowledge and awareness. However, behavioral changes have not yet occurred evenly. The SEM-PLS model shows that the effectiveness of education is not only influenced by the delivery of information, but also by active community participation. The main obstacles found include the lack of continuity of counseling, limited coverage, and cultural factors and fear of medical procedures. Contextual education, involving local cadres, and utilizing digital media can increase the effectiveness of delivering health messages. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating dental and oral education into the integrated health post program and strengthening the communication capacity of health workers to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice. This study recommends the development of sustainable and community-based educational strategies to improve the quality of life of the community as a whole.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi pengelolaan biaya rawat inap pasien Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) yang berpedoman pada Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan (Permenkes) Nomor 3 Tahun 2023. Aturan baru ini membawa implikasi signifikan terhadap sistem reimbursement INA-CBG's, menuntut rumah sakit untuk mengoptimalkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam perhitungan biaya. Strategi pengelolaan biaya yang diteliti meliputi peningkatan kualitas coding diagnosis dan prosedur, optimalisasi alur pelayanan klinis, serta pengawasan ketat terhadap penggunaan obat dan alat kesehatan. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan pihak manajemen keuangan, tim koder, dokter, perawat, dan staf terkait, serta analisis dokumen kebijakan internal dan data klaim. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa rumah sakit telah menerapkan strategi adaptif, seperti program edukasi coding berkelanjutan, penerapan protokol klinis berbasis bukti, dan penggunaan sistem informasi untuk monitoring biaya. Meskipun demikian, tantangan adaptasi terhadap perubahan regulasi yang cepat, resistensi praktik lama, dan perlunya investasi teknologi tetap menjadi isu krusial. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan sinergi antara manajemen klinis dan keuangan, serta pengembangan kapasitas SDM untuk mencapai pengelolaan biaya rawat inap JKN yang efektif dan efisien sesuai Permenkes 03/2023.

Abstract

Health training institution accreditation in Indonesia by the Directorate of Health Worker Quality Improvement faces substantial challenges, with over 58% of training institutions lacking accredited status in 2024. DCG Indonesia exemplifies institutions experiencing participant decline due to non-accredited status. The study aims to describe the accreditation preparation process implemented by DCG Indonesia and evaluate the effectiveness of community service activities through accreditation preparation webinars. The research employs a sequential exploratory mixed-methods approach across two phases. The first phase collects qualitative data through in-depth interviews and observations involving five participants directly engaged in the accreditation process, while the second phase utilizes quantitative data from surveys administered to 30 respondents. Research findings demonstrate that DCG Indonesia executed accreditation preparation through document analysis, accreditation team formation, and digital technology implementation. The webinar conducted as post-accreditation community service activities successfully enhanced participant understanding by 75.59% with satisfaction levels reaching 92.7%. The study concludes that systematic accreditation preparation strategies and digital technology adoption can facilitate health training institution accreditation processes. Webinar activities proved effective in improving participant understanding and satisfaction while providing guidance for other non-accredited institutions in accreditation preparation.

Abstract

Background: Social media has become a strategic medium for building political personal branding. Kang Dedi Mulyadi (KDM) utilizes platforms such as YouTube and TikTok to display a leadership style close to the community. One of his viral contents, “nanti dijemput ke barak (to be picked up to the barrack)”, reflects a personal branding strategy based on local cultural values. Purpose: This research analyzes KDM’s digital personal branding strategy against visual and verbal narratives in digital content and public responses. Methods: It uses a descriptive qualitative method with a cultural public relations approach, a communication approach that emphasizes aspects of West Javanese local culture in building and managing relationships. To collect the data, the study examined verbal and visual data on videos on KDM social media accounts. Results: Kang Dedi Mulyadi builds an image as a humanist leader, simple, and attached to Sundanese cultural values. The phrase ‘picked up to the ‘barracks’symbolizes the emotional closeness between the leader and the people. This strategy is effective because it combines populist approaches, local wisdom, and digital storytelling. Conclusion: KDM’s personal branding represents local culture in a communicative and modern way. Implications: The theoretical implications show the importance of integration between political and cultural communication. Meanwhile, this strategy can be a model for other public figures in building an authentic and relevant image in the digital space.

Abstract

Permintaan embryologist di Indonesia meningkat seiring bertambahnya pasangan infertil yang membutuhkan teknologi reproduksi bantuan seperti IVF atau ICSI. Namun, ketersediaan embryologist berkualitas masih terbatas, dengan hanya 137 terdaftar di PERFITRI, sementara kebutuhan diperkirakan mencapai 2.700 untuk 405.000 siklus IVF. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh pelatihan internal—meliputi tujuan, konten, metode, dan manfaat pelatihan—terhadap kompetensi embryologist. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode campuran, yaitu kuesioner kepada 31 embryologist dan wawancara dengan 5 embryologist. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tujuan pelatihan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kompetensi, sedangkan konten, metode, dan manfaat pelatihan tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan. Tujuan pelatihan selaras dengan target klinik menghasilkan embryologist kompeten, namun kurangnya jadwal pelatihan ulang, kebutuhan pelatihan eksternal, dan variasi kecepatan belajar individu menghambat optimalisasi kompetensi. Edukasi berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk mendukung perkembangan embryologist di Indonesia.

Abstract

Human resource and time constraints in perioperative anesthesia at J.H. Awaloei Hospital where anesthesiologist-to-patient ratio is 1:12 and a 4 to 6-hour pre-anesthesia window are associated with complications, surgical delays, and costs. This study assessed the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on operational efficiency, clinical safety, and financial performance using a sequential exploratory mixed-methods design with in-depth interviews from 18 key informants, a staff survey (n=40), and a 20-case time-motion comparison of traditional versus AI-assisted workflows; 2023 hospital audits informed the baseline, and study activities ran from December 2024 to May 2025. Analyses used descriptive statistics and appropriate tests; costing adopted a hospital perspective with 2024 prices, chiefly inpatient accommodation. AI use was associated with an 86.2% reduction in assessment time, operating room utilization rising to 82–84%, a 30% increase in risk detection, 18–22% fewer complications, a 40% reduction in 30-day readmission, and projected annual savings. The results indicate improvements with potential to strengthen predictive risk governance and cost efficiency; broader, risk-adjusted evaluations are warranted to confirm generalizability.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a referral model strategy to enhance the effectiveness of the referral system at Pangkoh Community Health Center (Puskesmas) using the SISRUTE application. The research employs a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and observations with 10 key informants, including various professionals at the Puskesmas and the Health Department. The analysis focuses on the stages of SISRUTE usage, human resource (HR) competency, infrastructure and technology, monitoring and evaluation, referral system effectiveness, and government policies and support. The findings indicate that the implementation of SISRUTE has improved the efficiency of the referral process, though challenges related to infrastructure limitations and HR competency remain. Future development of the referral system emphasizes enhancing HR training, strengthening technological infrastructure, and ensuring sustainable policy support. This strategy is expected to improve the quality of healthcare services, increase accessibility, and expedite the referral process, thereby supporting the achievement of public health goals in the Pangkoh Puskesmas service area.

Abstract

In preserving culture, of course, there must be activities that can be done to maintain cultural resilience. As was done by Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU), which made a bamboo craft workshop which was part of the Public Relations event. The workshop activity is an effort to preserve culture carried out by Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU). The purpose of this study was to determine the design of the bamboo craft workshop program, which would regenerate the seeds of prospective angklung artists. This research uses qualitative research with PR ethnographic study. This study aims to determine the PR communication behavior carried out by the organizers of the workshop activities, namely workshop managers and presenters with visitors or workshop participants. The results of this study indicate that there are stages of the workshop activity program, starting from the preparation analysis stage, strategy stage, implementation, community support, to building reputation. This study uses a relevant model, namely the IPPAR model (Insight, Strategic Program, Program Implementation, Action and Reputation). In carrying out its activities and building its reputation, SAU has basic principles or values, namely UDJO stands for Tenacious, Disciplined, Honest, and Optimistic. In addition, by providing the best possible service so that loyalty and reputation are maintained.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya program MBKM Magang MSIB dari Kementerian Pendidikan Kebudayaan Riset dan Teknologi yang diikuti oleh mahasiswa khususnya di Perguruan Tinggi Garut. Tujuan penelitian untuk menjelaskan motif, pengalaman dan makna komunikasi program MSIB bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang mahasiswa di Perguruan Tinggi Garut dan 3 orang narasumber merupakan PIC Kampus Merdeka dari Kemdikbudrist, Institut Pendidikan Indonesia, dan Institut Teknologi Garut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motif untuk peserta program MSIB Kampus Merdeka bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan, mengasah soft skills dan hard skills, mendapatkan pengalaman kerja dan pembelajaran baru diluar kampus. Motif karena antara lain karena konversi SKS dan uang saku yang dijanjikan oleh Kampus Merdeka, selain itu sertifikat yang diberikan oleh program ini juga dapat meningkatkan nilai tambah dalam mencari pekerjaan. Pengalaman positif yang dialami peserta MSIB Kampus Merdeka yaitu mendapatkan tawaran kerja oleh mitra yang mereka pilih di program MSIB Kampus Merdeka. Pengalaman negatif peserta MSIB Kampus Merdeka mengeluhkan kompensasi yang telah dijanjikan oleh pemerintah. Makna program MSIB dimaknai oleh mahasiswa sebagai jembatan yang menggabungkan pendidikan formal dengan pengalaman praktis di dunia kerja.
