Abstract

This research is about how to identify electromagnetic fields radiation intensity with measuring the electric fields and magnetic fields then compare it to the radiation exposure standards for public from ICNIRP. With the experimental method directly to the 15 randomize research sites in Pontianak city, each measurement   on 1 site done on 4 sides, front, back, right and left of the objects and each sides done measurement 5 times on different distance from 1 "“ 5 m.   The objects that has been measured are Transformer, which is very high value of electromagnetic fields compare it to any other medium voltage network equipment. The results still so much lower value than the exposure standards for public, but according to Anies reference there will be some effects about this if the public been exposed to radiation for too long, there are psychological and physicalogical effects. Hopefully this research could be referred to the public to consider the dangers exposed to radiation exposure of electromagnetic fields by medium voltage network equipment.

Abstract

Based on the facts, the lack of equity in LTE service quality is caused by several factors that exist in the BTS antenna transmission. One area that is still experiencing problems with the lack of network speed and good signal service quality is the Sungai Bundung Laut area of Mempawah Regency. In this study to optimize the transmission of LTE signals in the area, tilting measurements on sectoral antennas are needed. The purpose of this research is to analyze the actual value of tilting changes in the sectoral antenna and analyze the results of LTE signal quality at the mobile station before and after physical tunning and analyze the results of optimization of good and bad levels of LTE signal quality at the mobile station in XL site Sungai Bundung Laut Mempawah Regency. This measurement is done by adjusting the degree angle in 3 antenna sectors using physical tunning and optimization methods. In the physical tunning method, the results obtained in sector 1 are a change in the polarization of the downtilt antenna to Uptilt from 6 ° to 2 °, then a change in the Azimuth angle from 85 º to 120 º. For sector 2 there is a change in Mechanical Downtilt which is changed from 1 ° to 3 °. And in sector 3 there is a change in Electrical tilt which is from 3 ° to 4 °. Whilethe optimization method can change the results of the RSRP signal quality level for the L900 frequency before optimization the overall value is 93.10%, after optimization it becomes 96.16%, from the optimization results there is an increase of 3.05%. For SINR before optimization the overall value amounted to 90.99%, after optimization it became 96.72%, from the optimization results there was an increase of 5.73%. As for changes in RSRP at frequency L1800 before optimization, the overall value amounted to 96.23%, after optimization it became 96.98%, from the optimization results there was an increase of 0.75%. As for SINR before optimization the overall value amounted to 96.99%, after optimization it became 98.02% from the optimization results there was an increase of 1.02%.

Abstract

Optical fiber is a transmission medium that allows it to meet human needs to be able to transfer data faster because it uses light as a conductor. There is a damping problem in optical fiber, it needs to be accommodated so as to minimize the occurrence of attenuation in optical fiber. With this research, it can be known the magnitude of the value of a fiber optic transmission attenuation through the method of measuring attenuation values and receiving power at the customer's home   using OPM, identifying fiber optic channel attenuation that affects the quality of internet services, and knowing the comparison of OPM measurement results with OT data reading. This study uses an analytical descriptive approach where the research will describe what it is about a variable that is processed, as well as the symptoms and conditions to be identified. So the results of the study can be obtained, namely, the amount of attenuation measured in the customer's home is influenced by the attenuation measured in ODP. Attenuation at ODP is small with an average optical power value of -18.39 dB, this makes attenuation in customers' homes, namely ONT, tend to be smaller with an average optical power value of -20.04 dB. There is an additional value   of -1.65   dB per transmission. So it is known that the longer the cable used for fiber optic transmission, the greater the attenuation produced so that the optical power emitted by the sender will weaken along with the length of the cable. This is what will affect the quality of internet services.

Abstract

The output power generated by the photovoltaic module and its lifetime depend on many aspects. Some of these factors include: type of PV material, intensity of received solar radiation, cell temperature, parasitic resistance, clouds and other shadowing effects, inverter efficiency, dust, module orientation, weather conditions, geographical location and cable thickness and others. There are several environmental parameters that can affect the performance of solar cells, including changes in temperature, intensity of solar radiation, partial covering of the surface of the solar cell. Partial covering of the solar cell surface is usually caused by dust adhering to the solar panel for a certain period of time or it can also be caused by animal droppings such as birds that accidentally hit and cover the surface of the solar panel. Because it causes the closing of the solar cell, the performance of the solar cell will not be maximized, so it can greatly affect the decrease in the value of the output power and also the current generated. But how big the resulting influence is not yet known. The data logger managed to record the necessary parameters of the PV circuit that is applied to the shadow, namely, Voc voltage, working voltage, working current and power. The application of a rectangular shadow pattern has differences from a circle pattern, namely: in a rectangular pattern: a significant voltage drop occurs when the shadow is applied by 60%, the PV can still emit current although it is relatively small, the PV no longer emits voltage when the shadow is more than 70% , whereas in the circle pattern: the PV voltage starts to drop after the shadow is applied by 30%, if the shadow is more than 30% then the PV is no longer flowing current.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country that produces rice plants. The decline in crop yields was caused by pests and had an impact on rice plants which experienced yellowing leaves, broken stems, until the rice fruit became empty. Test results data in the form of numbers in certain units will be presented in the form of tables and graphs. To find out the symptoms or behavior of the system at the time of testing, an analysis is carried out. The research was conducted for 5 nights starting at 18.00 until 06.00 WIB. The LoRa sender will send data when a pest lands on a 1000-1500 VDC wire net. In the research conducted, a total of 97 pests were found. The peak of pest attacks occurs at 19:00 to 20:00 WIB. Walang sangit attacks rice plants in all phases, so it is not surprising that this pest has the largest number, namely 87 pests. The rain that falls makes the lights dim thereby reducing the interest of the pests in the pest traps. Lamps with a wavelength of 500 nm can attract the attention of nocturnal pests that attack rice plants at night.

Abstract

A digital antenna is a device used to capture digital signals. Digital television broadcasts are capable of transmitting better reception quality image signals on the television screen than analog broadcasts. Using an antenna without a booster causes less than optimal reception for several stations that are quite far from the receiving antenna. The television antenna booster functions as an amplifier for signal losses received from the antenna via coaxial cable. The signal that enters the antenna through the cable is a very weak RF signal. The booster itself works as an RF signal amplifier and also acts as a frequency selector used by the television receiver (VHF or UHF). This research aims to analyze the comparison of the performance of two antenna boosters, namely the TOYOSAKI Booster and MATRIX Booster, using digital antennas, namely the TOYOSAKI, MATTRIX and TAFFWARE antennas, to find a comparison of which antenna and booster are the best. This research uses the SINPO method, namely a number code to assess signal strength, interference, atmospheric noise, propagation conditions, and general impression of reception. Ratings are made with numbers ranging from 5 (very good) to 1 (very bad). The research results show that the quality of the images produced by the TOYOSAKI and MATRIX antennas is better using the MATRIX Booster than using the TOYOSAKI Booster. Meanwhile, for the TAFFWARE antenna, it is better to use a TOYOSAKI Booster than to use a MATRIX.

Abstract

This research investigates blank spot areas on the GSM network in Rasau Jaya District with an emphasis on several roads. The drive test method and G-Nettrack application are used to identify and measure signal quality, especially RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power), from three main providers: Telkomsel, H3I, and Indosat. The research results reveal significant variations in RSRP values in blank spot areas on primary and secondary roads. On primary road Telkomsel providers with signal categories are: Very Good 77, Good 237, Not Good 227, Very Bad 465. Indosat Ooredo Primary Road, Very Good 118, Good 462, Not Good 356, Very Bad 200, H3I Primary Road , Very Good 118, Good 230, Not Good 409, Very Bad 175. Then data Telkomsel Secondary Road Very Good 60, Good 287, Not Good 75, Very Bad 1232. Indosat Ooredo Secondary Road, Very Good 122, Good 102 No Good 158, Very Bad 1372, H3I Secondary Road, Very Good 117, Good 135, Not Good 145, Very Bad 1362. Data analysis confirms that the further the measurement distance from the Base Transceiver Station (BTS), the signal quality tends to decrease, especially in the very bad category. Identification of the distribution of blank spot areas also provides insight into locations that require signal improvement, providing a basis for improvement steps in developing the GSM network in the region.

Abstract

Digital television is a device used to capture digital TV broadcasts, this type of television uses digital modulation and compression systems to broadcast image, sound, and data signals to television sets. The need for this technology requires a device that can work to carry out the digital TV communication function. One very important communication device is the antenna. B iquad antenna is a loop antenna with a rectangular contour and is paralleled to get a smaller impedance. Wireless communication is inseparable from the existence of antenna devices. This research only focuses on analyzing signal reception on digital TV frequencies 478-694 MHz and on antenna design. This research discusses the design of a digital TV antenna with an RF amplifier and analyzes the parameters of the antenna design results and optimizes the antenna design to fit specifications. Simulation results on CST studio show that the biquad antenna has a VSWR value of 1.64, return loss of -12.26 dB, bandwidth of 114.44 MHz, gain of 9.080 dBi, and directivity of 9.253 dBi. These parameter values are obtained after performing an optimization process from previous simulations that still do not meet specifications. In the correlation of digital TV, antennas with RF amplifiers are able to capture very good signal strength and quality on each channel on the digital TV screen so that good image quality is obtained.
