This study aims to analyze the use of social media for online campaigns in village head elections (pilkades) and the chances of candidates being elected. Social media, which used to be only a means of entertainment, is now being looked at by politicians as a new space to gain voter support in elections (including the presidential election and local head elections). However, studies for the Pilkades have not been carried out. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach in the 2020 Padangan Village Pilkades, Padangan District, Bojonegoro Regency. The data used are primary data obtained through in-depth interviews with 12 informants who were selected purposively and through observation, as well as secondary data from pilkades documents. Analysis of the data using the Miles and Huberman analysis model. The results of the study show that social media can be a great opportunity to support village head candidates in gaining popularity and winning in the village head election if a village head candidate can use social media for online campaigns appropriately. Factors that influence the successful use of social media in online campaigns for village head candidates include: First, who is involved in the online campaign. The second is the type of social media. Third, the campaign content presented.

Abstract

Estrogen is a hormone that plays a role in sexual and reproductive development, especially in women. Estrogen is not only important for reproduction, but also in other systems such as the cardiovascular system, neuroendocrine system, immune system and muscoskeletal system in men and women. The absence of estrogen during the menopause phase is a leading factor in the onset of cardiovascular disease. Phytoestrogens are polyphenolic and non-steroidal compounds that have a structure and biological activity similar to 17β-estradiol in humans. Most phytoestrogens are found in flavonoids, isoflavones and also alkaloids whose esterogenic potential has not been widely explored. Butterfly Pea (Clitoria ternatea) is a type of wild creeping plant from the Fabaceae family which contains a number of active ingredients, including alkaloids. This research aims to determine the active compounds derived from Butterfly Pea (Clitoria ternatea) alkaloids which have the best potential as phytoestrogens using the insilico method. A number of ligands which are active compounds derived from alkaloids in Butterfly Pea are linked to estrogen alpha as a receptor using molecular docking. The research results of the six alkaloid derivative compounds found in the leaves, flowers and seeds tested showed that Cephalotaxinone was the most effective compound to be used as a phytoestrogen candidate

Abstract

This research aims to examine how capital structure and ownership structure affect dividend policy, and to determine if financial performance plays a role in mediating this relationship. The study employs a quantitative methodology alongside an explanatory research technique. The object of this research is Consumer Non-Cyclical sector companies based on the IDX Industrial Classification (IDX-IC). A purposive sampling method was employed to acquire a sample of 28 firms. The technique for analyzing data is Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the software WarpPLS 8.0. The results showed that capital structure significantly negatively affects Consumer Non-Cyclical sector companies, with higher debt ratios resulting in lower dividends. Ownership structure also affects dividend policy, with greater share ownership by significant shareholders leading to higher dividends. Financial performance has an effect on dividend policy, suggesting that companies with stable profits have more resources to pay dividends to shareholders. Yet, the financial results cannot act as a mediator for the influence of capital and ownership setups on choices regarding dividends. Future studies need to include different industry sectors to assess uniformity among various economic sectors and address fluctuations in the broader economy.
