Abstract

Several types of alternative energy are geothermal, biogas, wind energy, micro hydro and solar energy. Among these alternative energies, solar energy is the most potential energy to be utilized in Indonesia. A solar energy water pump system with a battery is a water pump that utilizes solar energy into electrical energy that is stored in batteries. The energy in the solar panels is stored in the battery as a source of electrical energy to pump water through the solar charge controller. In this study, monitoring the pump battery voltage remotely, monitoring using the Internet of Things (IoT) method by displaying it on the thingspeak website. The solar panel has a power of 10 Watts. Testing on the whole tool using panels and without using panels there are differences from these experiments. With a time of 10 minutes the initial voltage of the experiment using the panel is 13.24V and the final voltage is 11.90V, consuming 1.34V. Experiments without using a panel with a starting voltage of 12.09V and a final voltage of 10.48V, consuming 1.61V. In both experiments there is a difference of 0.27V, in the test using the panel charging occurs, so that it takes longer to reduce the power to the battery. Beberapa jenis energi alternatif adalah panas bumi, biogas, energi angin, mikro hidro dan energi surya. Di antara energi alternatif tersebut, energi matahari merupakan energi yang paling potensial untuk dimanfaatkan di Indonesia. Sistem pompa air energi surya dengan baterai adalah pompa air yang memanfaatkan energi matahari menjadi energi listrik yang disimpan di baterai. Energi pada panel surya di simpan ke baterai sebagai sumber energi listrik untuk pompa air melalui solar charge controller. Pada penelitian ini memantau tegangan baterai pompa dari jarak jauh, pemantauan menggunakan metode Internet of Things (IoT) dengan menampilkan pada website thingspeak. Panel surya memiliki daya sebesar 10 Watt. Pengujian pada alat keseluruhan dengan menggunakan panel dan tanpa menggunakan panel terdapat perbedaan dari percobaan tersebut. Dengan waktu 10 menit tegangan awal percobaan menggunakan panel 13,24V dan tegangan akhir 11,90V, menghabiskan sebanyak 1,34V. Percobaan tanpa menggunakan panel tegangan awal 12,09V dan tegangan akhir 10,48V, menghabiskan sebanyak 1,61V. Pada kedua percobaan tersebut terdapat selisih 0,27V, pada pengujian menggunakan panel terjadi pengisian daya, sehingga lebih lama pengurangan daya pada baterai.

Abstract

The research proposed an alternative controller to control the Direct Current (DC) Motor using a sliding mode controller (SMC) in Matlab Simulink simulation and Arduino hardware implementation. The proposed controller, SMC, was designed using the system model (equivalent control) and Lyapunov control design (also to prove the stability). The sliding mode controller had a better response than PID Controller, with no overshoot response in the simulation result. In the Arduino hardware implementation result, the augmented system could reach the reference but has an oscillation and chattering effect in the control signal. The chattering could be reduced by modifying the switching control. Comparing with PID, SMC had a better response with no overshoot. Thus, the SMC could be used as an alternative controller for the DC Motor.

Abstract

Noise is unwanted signals in a communication or information system. Kalman filter has a good ability to handle noise. This study uses the Kalman filter algorithm that works to reduce noise at the accelerometer and gyroscope sensor output. Data were taken using the accelerometer sensor and the gyroscope sensor in a stationary condition. The device is Arduino Uno for processing the data and MPU6050 for accelerometer and gyroscope sensor. In the Kalman filter algorithm, there is process variance matrix and measurement variance matrix parameters that affect noise attenuation or reduction at the accelerometer and gyroscope output. If the difference between the two parameters is too large, then the attenuation becomes very large and eliminates the original value of the sensor output. Thus, the value cannot be chosen carelessly. The best value is the measurement variance matrix must bigger than the process variance matrix.

Abstract

The inverted pendulum system is highly popular in control system applications and has the characteristics of unstable, nonlinear, and fast dynamics. A nonlinear controller is needed to control a system with these characteristics. In addition, there are disturbances and parameter uncertainty issues to be solved in the inverted pendulum system. Therefore, this study uses a nonlinear controller, which is the backstepping sliding mode control. The controller is robust to parameter uncertainty and disturbances so that it is suitable for controlling an inverted pendulum system. Based on testing with step and sine reference signals without interference, the controller can stabilize the system well and has a fast response. In testing with disturbances and mass uncertainty, the backstepping sliding mode controller is robust against these changes and able to make the system reach the reference value. Compared with sliding mode control, backstepping sliding mode control has a better and more robust response to disturbances and parameter uncertainty.

Abstract

The problem of garbage in the world is a serious issue that must be solved. Good garbage management is a must for now and in the future. Good garbage management is accompanied by a system of classification and sorting of garbage types. This study aims to create a mobile-based application that can select the type of garbage and enter the garbage data into a database. The database used is a Google SpreadSheet that will accommodate data from the output issued by the garbage detection mobile application. The image data used in this study amounted to 10108 images and was divided into six different garbage classes. This study uses a deep learning platform called densenet121 with an accuracy rate of 99.6% to train the image data. DenseNet121 has been modified and added an optimization based on a genetic algorithm. The genetic algorithm applied in the optimization uses four generations. The model resulting from the training of the two approaches is converted into a model that mobile applications can access. The mobile application based on a deep learning model accommodates the detection data of the type of garbage, the level of detection accuracy, and the GPS location of the garbage. In the final experiment of the mobile application, the delay time in sending data was very fast, which was less than one second (0.86s).

Abstract

Rambak bawang dan karak beras “acha” merupakan salah saru home industry yang berlokasi di boyolali, tepatnya di Gumukrejo, Kecamatan Teras, Kabupaten Boyolali. Home Industry ini menjual karak serta rambak tanpa menggunakan bahan berbahaya seperti boraks. Ibu Sunarni, selaku pemilik dari usaha rambak dan karak, menjalankan usahanya dibantu oleh keluarganya. Usaha ini Sudah dijalankan kurang lebih sejak 10 tahun yang lalu, akan tetapi usaha ini belum memiliki izin usaha. NPWP yang dimiliki usaha ini berupa NPWP kelompok di desa. Hasil produksinya tergolong cukup banyak dengan produksi rambak bawang antara 75-100 kg dan karak beras 50 kg. Kondisi pandemi covid-19 berdampak pada usaha yang mengalami penurunan penjualan dikarenakan turunnya daya beli masyarakat yang diakibatkan menurunnya pendapatan. Untuk meningkatkan produksi maka dilakukan perubahan logo kemasan yang lebih menarik mata dan logo yang mudah teringat oleh masyarakat. selain melayani penjualan melalui aplikasi whatsapp, penjualan juga dilakukan melalui aplikasi e-commerce seperti shopee.

Abstract

Kesehatan masyarakat perlu diperhatikan karena dapat menciptakan kemampuan hidup sehat bagi setiap penduduk yang merupakan tujuan dari pembangunan kesehatan yang merupakan bagian dari pembangunan sumber daya manusia. Penyakit pegal pada otot, nyeri otot, atau kejang, dan kekakuan bahu atau sendi merupakan penyakit yang sering dialami oleh sebagian besar masyarakat. Untuk meredakan penyakit tersebut, masyarakat terkadang datang ketempat pembangunan kesehatan seperti puskesmas untuk melakukan terapi. Beberapa puskesmas telah memiliki alat terapi tersebut. Akan tetapi, ada beberapa puskesmas yang tidak memiliki karena alat tersebut sulit dibeli. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan ini dengan membuat alat terapi inframerah yang kemudian diterapkan di Puskesmas Kasihan 1. Dengan program ini diharapkan masyarakat dapat hidup sehat.

Abstract

Dukuh Sonyo dipimpin oleh Bapak Suranto sebagai kepala dukuh. Pedukuhan tersebut terdiri atas delapan RT dengan jumlah kepala keluarga adalah 173. Pedukuhan tersebut terletak di daerah pegunungan di Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Dukuh Sonyo berbatasan dengan Dukuh Sidomulyo dan Dukuh Gunung Kelir. Pedukuhan Sonyo yang terletak di daerah pegunungan memiliki banyak permasalahan. Salah satu permasalah yang menjadi perhatian khusus yaitu permasalahan tentang rawannya terjadi bencana alam. Bencana alam yang sering terjadi di dusun tersebut yaitu tanah longsor. Dikhawatirkan pada musim hujan disertai terjadi hujan lebat dapat mengakibatkan tanah longsor. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas maka pengabdian masyarakat ini mendesain dan menerapkan alat peringatan dini tanah longsor. Alat ini dibuat dengan menggunakan komponen utamanya mikrokontroller yang digunakan sebagai pengolah data, sensor menggunakan potensiometer untuk mendeteksi pergerakkan tanah, dan sirine. Selain pemasangan alat tanah longsor, pengabdian masyarakat ini juga memberikan pelajaran tentang pengangulangan tanah longsor.

Abstract

Early and routine examination of glucose levels plays an important role in preventing and controlling diabetes mellitus and maintaining the quality of life. Checking blood sugar levels by hurting the body (invasive) can lead to infections caused by needles. As an alternative, the examination is carried out in a non-invasive way using excretory fluid in the form of urine, which is reacted with Benedict's solution that create a color change. Experts in the laboratory only carry out an examination using non-invasive methods because in determining glucose levels, it requires accuracy and eye health factors. Therefore, a glucose level detection system was created using a sample of glucose solution to determine the system's parameters using the if-else method. The glucose level detection system is conducted by mixing the glucose solution with Benedict's solution to produce a color change. Then the reaction results are read by the TCS3200 sensor and processed by Arduino to be classified, according to predetermined parameters. The decision results based on the classification of the glucose level parameters that have been determined are displayed on a 16x2 LCD. The results achieved in this study on 10 samples of glucose solution that were tested and processed by the if-else method were successfully read and classified based on predetermined parameters.

Abstract

Saat ini, pengendali Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) digunakan secara umum untuk mendapatkan solusi optimum. Solusi dikatakan optimum apabila output di kehidupan nyata sesuai dengan output yang telah ditentukan. Oleh karena itu, pengendali adalah suatu hal yang dibutuhkan. Tantangan dalam menggunakan pengendali adalah tuning parameter untuk mencari konstanta parameter PID seperti Proporsional Gain (KP), Waktu Integral (KI) dan Waktu Derivatif (KD). Untuk memaksimalkan kinerja motor DC, pengaturan pengendali PID yang tepat merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Desain pengendali PID sebagai pengendali motor DC sudah sering dilakukan. Penggunaan pengendali PID membutuhkan pengaturan parameter yang tepat untuk mendapatkan kinerja yang optimal pada motor. Metode yang umum dalam menentukan parameter pengendali PID adalah trial and error. Namun hasil yang didapat tidak membuat pengendali PID optimal dan justru akan merusak sistem. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan salah satu metode penalaan parameter PID dengan menggunakan metode cerdas berbasis Genetic Algorithm (Algoritma Genetik) untuk mengoptimasi dan menentukan parameter yang tepat dari PID. Algoritma genetik adalah salah satu algoritma yang menggunakan genetika sebagai model algoritmanya. Algoritma genetik terinspirasi dari meniru proses seleksi alam, yaitu proses yang menyebabkan evolusi biologis. Konsep inilah yang diadaptasi dan diterapkan dengan baik untuk menala parameter PID. Penggunaan metode algoritma genetik dapat memberikan hasil yang lebih baik pada setiap iterasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa overshoot yang dihasilkan karena adanya respon kecepatan setelah penambahan PID adalah kurang dari 10%. Currently, Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controllers are generally used to obtain the optimum solution. The solution is said to be optimum if the output in real life matches the output determined. Therefore, the controller is needed. The challenge in using the controller is tuning parameters to find constants of PID parameters such as Proportional Gain (KP), Integral Time (KI) and Derivative Time (KD). In order to maximize the performance of a DC motor, proper PID controller settings are crucial. The design of PID controllers as DC motor controllers has often been done. The use of a PID controller requires setting the right parameters to get optimal performance on the motor. The common method for determining PID controller parameters is trial and error. However, the results obtained do not make the PID controller optimal and will actually damage the system. Therefore, this study uses one of the PID parameter tuning methods by using an intelligent method based on Genetic Algorithm to optimize and determine the appropriate parameters of PID. Genetic algorithm is an algorithm that uses genetics as a model algorithm. Genetic algorithms are inspired by imitating the process of natural selection, the process that causes biological evolution. This concept is well adapted and applied for tuning PID parameters. The use of genetic algorithm methods can give better results in each iteration. The results showed that the resulting overshoot due to the speed response after the addition of PID was less than 10%.
