Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the antifungal activity of coumarin isolated from Ageratum conyzoides L. leaves and to observe its influence on Candida albicans cells by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Antifungal activity testing with the disk diffusion method showed coumarin was active toward pathogenic fungus Candida albicans with an MIC value of coumarin of 125 g mL-1. The results show that this compound damaged the cell by pores formation on the cell wall. Death of cells occurred due to leakage and necrosis of cytoplasmic content.

Abstract

Technological entrepreneurship helps create sustainable value, accelerate corporate growth and promote economic sustainability through the capitalization and commercialization of innovative new technologies. There are obstacles in conducting Business Model Innovation (BMI) as a reference form of technological entrepreneurship as a reference. This study aims to establish a business model for developing the economy with technological entrepreneurship innovation (BMIfTE). Readiness is one of the keys in carrying out a goal, because there are things that must be prepared, such as the topics discussed in papers related to previous researchers who have published the development of a BMIfTE. For this reason, the paper in this study discusses opportunities and risks, value transitions, economic development, strategies for companies, dynamic capabilities and stakeholders. The new proposal is a form of BMI reconstruction regarding the business model in function of technology to create new systems and methods to take advantage of existing business development opportunities to be able to compete and stand in the national market.

Abstract

Getting maximal service represent dream all society especially receiver of service of  the hospital  including in pharmacy installation. Patient got many problems because service not yet fulfilled standard. To fulfill requirement of patient, pharmacy installation have to this research accredit  to know storey level according to seven accreditation standard to service of pharmacy in RSUD Sub Province Bima and repair strategy with Hanlon method.  This Research use instrument of quizioner  Depkes and special informan interview counted 15 informan and people lock counted 3 people. Subject at this research is all officer in concerned and have important role in pharmacy Installation RSUD Sub Province Bima. Conducted by assessment seven standard  later then compared to between informan with result of observation,  afterwards analyzed by strategy development by using Hanlon method. Result of Research of show there are difference of result assessment of standard accredit between officer of pharmacy Installation that is ( 58,75%) with research that is  ( 55%). From seventh of accreditation standard, nothing that fulfill accreditation standard (< 60%), result  strategy development with Hanlon method is Facility and equipments, repair of facilities and basic facilities of Pharmacy administration  management and, immediately do function KFT . Evaluation and quality control, require to make pharmacy program written  and also SK about meeting schedule .Philosophy   and  target, SK about policy of pharmacy service  from  Hospital head. Policy and procedure, making SOP and policy written  about management of provisions of pharmacy . Development of education program and staff,  done by education program and periodical training in IFRS. STAF and head, existence of staff pharmacy performance evaluation and orientation to officer of Installation Pharmacy

Abstract

To improve the quality of services and improve patient safety in providing hospital services needed hospital accreditation. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of conformity seven accreditation standards MMU based from KARS and strategy development pharmacy installation with Hanlon method. This study is a non-experimental research design in Hospital Pharmacy Installation Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan, data collection conducted by using a questionnaire instrument to 28 respondents are Pharmacists and TTK. After the problem was found in each element and then analyzed using the Hanlon method. Research concluded that the level suitability to the accreditation standards of pharmacy service MMU is MMU1 85.36%, 92.39% MMU2, MMU3 78.75%, 88.57% MMU4, MMU5 50.24%, 72.32% MMU6, and MMU7 42.62% and development strategy appropriate priorities to be applied in IFRSUD Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan are still does not meet the maximum standards.

Abstract

Kamboja (Plumeria acuminata Ait.) plant is traditional medicine used as medication for abscess and yaws. Flavonoid is a component of chemical compound in kamboja leaves that supposed to have antibacterial activity. The aim of the experiment was to find out the ability of kamboja leaves fractions creams in healing the infection of Staphylococcus aureus on rabbit skin and to know the most effective concentration. Kamboja leaves were extracted by soxhletation method using 96% ethanol solvent, and then the obtained extract was fractionated using n-hexane, ethyl acetate and 70% ethanol solvents. The antibacterial activities of the three fractions were tested in the form of creams by in vivo method. It was found that ethyl acetate fraction was the most effective, and then various doses were conducted with concentrations of 15%, 20%, and 25% using test animals infected by Staphylococcus aureus.The result of the experiment showed that ethyl acetate fraction had the best ability compared with n-hexane and ethanol 70% fractions. Ethyl acetate fraction cream concentration of 15%, 20%, and 25% could heal the infection for 11.40, 10.60 and 9.40 days, respectivelly.

Abstract

Mundu (Garcinia dulcis Kurz.) is one of the potential with the chemical compound xanton and triterpenoid for antiplasmodial. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of n-hexane extract of stem bark Mundu (Garcinia dulcis Kurz.) as the antiplasmodial in mice induced by Plasmodium berghei through a reduction in parasitemia and to find out the most effective doses that have antiplasmodial activities. The animal test mice before treatment with extract induced by Plasmodium berghei to the number of erythrocytic in the blood of 107 and antelmintika were given pirantel pamoat. The concentrate extract was tested in each group of animals test with a dose of 50 mg/kgBW mice, 100 mg / kgBW mice and 150 mg/kgBW mice, negative control group were given 0,5 % CMC and the positive control were given chloroquine be suspention in CMC solution. Antiplasmodial effect was observed by calculating the decrease of the amount of paracitemia. The results showed that the n-hexane extract of Mundu’s stem bark dose 50 mg / kgBW, 100 mg/kgBW and 150 mg/kgBW provide as antiplasmodial activity. Dose of 50 mg/kgBW provide antiplasmodial activity more effective.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a disease that affects many people. Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L.) leavesis a traditional medicinal plant contains saponins, flavonoids, tannins which one of the benefits to treat diabetes mellitus. Aimedof this study to identify and seek the most effective combination dose of 70% ethanol extract dewandaru leaves in combined with metformin to decrease blood glucose levels in Wistar male rats. Dewandaru leaves macerated with 70% ethanol solvent, condensed macerate obtained was tested in each group of test animals. Thirty rats were divided into 6 groups. Group I was given 70% ethanol extract of dewandaru leaves 300 mg/200 gBW, the second group (negative control) was given Na2EDTA 14 mg/200 gBW, group III (positive control) was given metformin 4.5 mg/200 gBW, group IV, V and VI was given the extract doses of 75 mg / 200 gBW, 150 mg/200 gBW and 300 mg/200 gBW combine with metformin 4.5 mg/200 gBW repectively. The treatment conduct for 12 days, 3 days induced with Na2EDTA, and then for 9 days given treatment according to each group. The glucose levels were determinated day 0, the 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th. Then the data obtained were analyzed by one way ANOVA with a level of 95%. The result showed a decrease in blood glucose levels significantly between the treatment group 70% ethanol extract of dewandaru leaves dose of 75 mg, 150 mg and 300 mg/200 gBW in combine with metformin. 70% ethanol extract of dewandaru leaves dose of 75 mg/200 gBW in combine with metformin iseffective dose that coulddecrease blood glucose levels with three days theraphy.

Abstract

Decree of the Minister of Health No. 1197/Menkes/SK/X/2004 on Standards of Hospital Pharmacy Services, which states that the hospital pharmacy services is an integral part of hospital health care system is oriented to patient care, the provision of quality medicines, including clinical pharmacy services, are affordable for all levels of society. Installation of Hospital Pharmacy is the only division of hospitals that are fully responsible for the management and control throughout the pharmaceutical and other medical supplies in circulation and used in hospitals. In this regard the management and management of IFRS must be done properly, efficiently and effectively to support health services in hospitals. For that IFRS need to create appropriate strategies that began by analyzing both internal and external environment, known as SWOT analysis. Based on the SWOT analysis of the IFRS can formulate strategies that can be implemented in the service in IFRS. This type of research is a case study using descriptive research design and strategic analysis, with qualitative and quantitative approach that aims to explore the internal and external environmental conditions IFRS TK.IV Slamet Riyadi. Data were collected through observation of documents, direct observation and questionnaire spread. Qualitative data and quantitative data were analyzed contents were statistically analyzed. The results show the calculation results of internal evaluation matrix, the strength of IFRS Tk. IV Slamet Riyadi Surakarta is greater than the value of 0.28 weaknesses. The results of the evaluation matrix external factors also value the opportunities greater than the threat value of 0.25. Thus IFRS Tk. Slamet Riyadi Surakarta is at quadrant 1 which supports an aggressive growth policy. The selection strategy of using the matrix QSP results that improve the quality and quantity of human resources at 7.52; improved management of pharmaceutical supplies for 7.44; improving the quality of facilities, infrastructure and science and technology facility at 7.37; and the conduct of research, comparative studies and development hospital pharmacy installation of 7.29.

Abstract

Malaria is a parasitic disease caused by protozoa of plasmodium genus. Mundu (Garcinia dulcis Kurz.) is one of the potential with the chemical compound xanton and triterpenoid for antiplasmodial. The aim of this experiment was to find out the effect of mundu (Garcinia dulcis Kurz) cortex n-hexane extract on leucocytes amount and hemoglobin level in mouse infected with Plasmodium berghei, and to know the dose of the most effective n-hexane extract as antiplasmodium. Mundu extract made by maceration use n-hexane. The animal test mice before treatment with extract induced by Plasmodium berghei to the number of erythrocytic in the blood of 107 and the concentrate extract was tested in each group of animals test with a dose of 50 mg / kg bw mice, 100 mg / kg bw mice and 150 mg / kg bw mice, negative control group were given 0.5% CMC and the positive control were given chloroquine be suspention in CMC solution. The anti-plasmodium effect was observed by calculating the leucocytes amount and hemoglobin level. Data was prosessed with one way ANOVA statistical test followed by tukey test. The result of the experiment showed that n-hexane extract of mundu cortex had the anti-plasmodium effect by decrease the leucocytes amount and increase hemoglobin on the mouse induced with Plasmodium berghei. The most effective dose of mundu cortex n-hexane extract was 100 mg/kg BW.

Abstract

Leaves of Mirabilis jalapa L. can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Aspergillus sp. The study aimed to determine the antifungal activity of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and water fractions from the methanolic extract of leaves of Mirabilis jalapa L. against Pityrosporum ovale fungi and to determine the most effective fraction in inhibiting the growth of Pityrosporum ovale. Antifungal activity assays using the diffusion method, in which the test solution of Mirabilis jalapa L. leaves made serial consentrations of 10%, 5%, 3% entered in wells that have been applied to SGA media fungal suspension test. The results was analyzed using two ways statistical analysis. The result showed that of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and water fractions from methanolic extracts Mirabilis jalapa L. leaves have antifungal activity against Phytyrosporum ovale. Ethyl acetate fraction at a concentration of 10% had the highest antifungal activity was 25 mm.
