Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah alat ukur bernama kapasitansi meter yang dibuat ulang dengan mikrokontroler berjenis arduino board. Penelitian terkait rancang bangun kapasitansi meter berbasis arduino board ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, dimana peneliti menggunakan tiga desain untuk membandingkan tingkat ketelitian dari masing-masing kapasitansi meter tersebut. Ketiga desain tersebut selanjutnya diuji tingkat ketelitiannya dengan membandingkan hasil pengukuran kapasitansi meter berbasis arduino board dengan hasil pengukuran kapasitansi standar, yang kemudian diuji dengan menggunakan uji linieritas regresi menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 22. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah beberapa kapasitor yang memiliki jenis dan nilai yang berbeda dengan rentang mulai dari 4 nano farad hingga 4700 mikro farad. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, desain I yang menggunakan rangkaian RC sederhana memiliki rentang pengukuran nilai antara 0,0033 µF hingga 100 µF dengan ketelitian pengukuran sebesar 97,50 %, pada desain II yang menggunakan rangkaian komparator dengan IC Op-Amp LM741 sebagai kontrolnya memiliki rentang pengukuran dari 15 pF hingga 2200 µF dengan ketelitian pengukuran sebesar 95,33% dan desain III dengan rangkaian monostable menggunakan IC Timer 555 memilki rentang pengukuran dari 1 nF hingga ratusan mikro farad dengan tingkat ketelitian pengukuran sebesar 94,5%. Diharapkan dari penelitian ini, alat ukur yang dihasilkan bisa dimanfaatkan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dalam bidang pendidikan khususnya pada mata pelajaran listrik dinamis pada tingkat SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman konsep siswa di SMA pada pokok bahasan Termodinamika. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes diagnostik pilihan ganda (multiple coice) yang dilengkapi CRI (Certainty of Response Index). Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII MIPA 4 di SMAN Pakusari, kelas XII MIPA 1 Kalisat, dan kelas XII MIPA 1 di SMAN Arjasa yang dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan telah mempelajari materi pokok bahasan Termodinamika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan persentase pemahaman konsep paling tinggi yaitu siswa SMAN Arjasa yakni sebesar 47,78% dengan Miskonsepsi sebesar 15,74%, Paham Konsep tetapi Kurang Yakin sebesar 5,56%, dan Tidak Tahu Konsep sebesar 30,93%. Berdasarkan aspek pemahaman konsep, siswa SMAN Arjasa berada pada aspek interpretasi yakni sebesar 72,97%. Tertinggi kedua yaitu SMAN Kalisat yakni sebesar 11,17% dengan Miskonsepsi sebesar 22,88%, Paham Konsep tetapi Kurang Yakin sebesar 1,98%, dan Tidak Tahu Konsep sebesar 63,96%. Berdasarkan aspek pemahaman konsep, siswa SMAN Kalisat berada pada aspek ekstrapolasi yakni sebesar 25,16%. Sedangkan SMAN Pakusari memiliki tingkat pemahaman konsep terendah yakni sebesar 9,03%, dengan Miskonsepsi sebesar 32,90%, Paham Konsep tetapi Kurang Yakin sebesar 2,58%, dan Tidak Tahu Konsep sebesar 55,48%. Berdasarkan aspek pemahaman konsep, siswa SMAN Pakusari berada pada aspek ekstrapolasi yakni sebesar 25,41%.

Abstract

Di sekitar kawat konduktor jaringan distribusi 20 kV menimbulkan medan magnet. Jaringan listrik ini mampu memancarkan radiasi gelombang elektromagnetik dengan frekuensi antara 50 Hz sampai 60 Hz. Gelombang semacam ini dikategorikan dalam Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) yang merupakan spektrum gelombang elektromagnetik yang berada pada frekuensi kurang dari 300 Hz dan tergolong non ionizing radiation. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adakah peningkatan antara intensitas medan magnet Extremely Low Frequency (ELF)  di sekitar jaringan distribusi PLN 20 kV dibanding dengan intensitas medan magnet alamiah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen lapangan dengan menggunakan alat ukur Electromagnetic radiation tester GM3120. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di 6 lokasi dengan total titik pengukuran sebanyak 21 titik dengan 3 posisi serta 3 ketinggian yang berbeda. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata peningkatan medan magnet disekitar jaringan distribusi PLN 20 kV menunjukkan nilai medan magnet paling tinggi yaitu mencapai 6,89 µT dan yang paling rendah yaitu mencapai 0,14 µT. Nilai medan magnet yang dihasilkan masih dibawah ambang batas rekomendasi dari WHO dan IRPA yaitu 0,5 mT. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan antara intensitas medan magnet Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) di sekitar jaringan distribusi PLN 20 kV dibanding dengan intensitas medan magnet alamiah.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMemanfaatkan teknologi dapat mendukung ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran, salah satunya dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang bervariatif dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar sehingga akan mempengaruhi hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian N. Nieveen yang terdiri dari tahap pendahuluan, pengembangan, dan penilaian. Tujuan penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui validitas dan efektifitas media pembelajaran fisika materi gerak parabola agar dapat dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 3 Bondowoso pada kelas X MIPA. Hasil data yang diperoleh menggunakan instrumen tes berupa lembar instrumen validitas, soal pre-test, dan post-test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan validitas ahli, validitas audience, dan persamaan N-Gain. Hasil rata-rata validitas oleh 2 validator ahli media sebesar 90,4% dinyatakan sangat valid dan validator ahli pengguna sebesar 92,18% dinyatakan sangat valid. Hasil efektivitas pada uji lapangan sebesar 87,27% dapat dinyatakan sangat efektif dan nilai N-Gain sebesar 83,27% sehingga dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka media pembelajaran fisika menggunakan smartphone dengan pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) layak untuk digunakan. Kata kunci: media pembelajaran; smartphone; pendekatan STEM. ABSTRACTTechnology can promote the achievement of learning goals, one of which can create varied learning and increase motivation to learn so that it will affect students' learning outcomes. This study uses N. Nieveen's research design which consists of preliminary, development and evaluation stages. The aim of this study is to determine the validity and effectiveness of physics learning materials for parabolic motion material so that it can be declared usable. The research site was carried out at SMAN 3 Bondowoso in class X Science. Data results obtained using test instruments in the form of instrument validity cards, pre-test and post-test questions. The data analysis technique uses expert validity, audience validity and the N-Gain equation. The results of the mean validity by 2 expert media validators of 90.4% were declared very valid and 92.18% of the expert user validators were declared very valid. The results of the efficiency in the field test of 87.27% can be said to be very efficient and the N-Gain value of 83.27%, which places it in the high category. Based on the results of the study, it is possible to use physics learning materials using a smartphone with a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) approach.Keywords: multimedia learning; smartphone; approach STEM.

Abstract

The aims of this research were to investigate : (1) the influence of PBL model with PhET simulation to student’s science process skill’s; (2) the influence of PBL model with PhET simulation to student’s problem solving skill’s. this research used experimental research method. The sample of this student’s of slass XI IPA at MA Negeri 2 Jember. The data were collected by observation, documentation, and interview. The data was analyzed using the Independent sample t-test toshow the different between experiment class and control class. The results of the research were as follows: (1) PBL model with PhET simulation influence on science process skill’s of student’s (2) PBL model with PhET simulation influence on problem solving skill’s of student’s. Abstract

Scientific reasoning ability is important to have for students to understand the concept of physics and have a good mathematical reasoning ability. The scientific reasoning ability itself is the ability of a person to use his or her reasoning in resolving a problem by coming up with facts or tangible evidence, so that the conclusion can be drawn. The research was conducted with a view to analyzing the scientific reasoning ability of high school students in Banyuwangi city on temperature and heat material. The study used a research instrument in the form of a multiple-choice scientific reasoning ability test based on LCTSR. This type of research is descriptive research. The results of this research include the percentage of test result scientific reasoning ability of students in Banyuwangi city in the proportional reasoning is 60.51%, in variable control of 58.17%, at a probability reasoning of 49.87%, on The hypothetical-deductive reasoning is 47.4%, on the reasoning correlation of 20.53%, and the reasoning on conservation is 37.22%. The largest percentage is proportional reasoning, while the smallest is a correlation reasoning. Then it can be said that high school students in Banyuwangi City have the best scientific reasoning ability on the proportional reasoning pattern and the ability of scientific reasoning which is lacking in the pattern of reasoning the correlation.

Abstract

Practical activities are a series of activities carried out to apply skills or practice something that requires practical tools in its implementation. The purpose of using practical tools is to meet the needs of practitioners in carrying out a process. One of the physics concepts that can be explained through practical activities is calorimetry. Specific heat is one of the observations made during the practicum using a calorimeter. The specific heat of the material is usually measured using a coffee-cup calorimeter manually. The obstacle faced by the practitioner during the calorimetry practicum is that the measurement of the dependent variables takes up the time and attention of the practitioner in the implementation of the practicum. The objectives of this research are (1) to design an Arduino Uno-based calorimeter practicum tool; (2) explain the work system of the Arduino Uno-based calorimeter practicum tool; (3) measuring the amount of heat on the Arduino Uno-based calorimeter practicum tool; (4) comparing the effectiveness of the Arduino Uno-based calorimeter practicum tool with the coffee-cup calorimeter practicum tool. This study uses a type of research and development (Research and Development) with a Nieveen design conducted in the Laboratory of Physics Education Study FKIP Jember University. Nieveen's design research procedures include Preliminary Research, Prototyping Stage, and Assessment Stage (summative evaluation). Based on the results of data analysis, there is a very strong relationship between the data from the measurement results of the design of the tool and the data from the results of the measuring instruments that have been standardized. The results of the measurement of the specific heat of the material using the design of the tool indicate a conformity with the previous theoretical study. Abstract

This research is a type of descriptive research. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using PhET simulation in online learning on temperature and heat material based on student learning outcomes. The level of student effectiveness can be known through the results of the Pre-test and Post-test. PhET simulation is a virtual laboratory simulation covering physics, chemistry, mathematics, earth science, and biology. Furthermore, this research was carried out at SMAN 2 Jember from 3 - 6 January 2022 in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The population in this study were students of class XI IPA SMAN 2 Jember. Prior to sampling, homogeneity test was carried out with the help of the SPSS program. This homogeneity test is used to determine whether the sample data is obtained from a population with homogeneous variance or not. Data on the effectiveness of using PhET simulation in online learning on temperature and heat materials were obtained from test results. it is known that the N-gain score obtained is 0.669. So it can be concluded that the effectiveness of using PhET simulation in online learning on temperature and heat material is in the medium category. Student learning outcomes also increased compared to before using the PhET simulation. Meanwhile, students admitted that they were enthusiastic and not bored so that it was easier for students to understand the material taught by the teacher. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to make simulation with Matlab application to calculate the binding energy and disintegration energy of Actinium series based of liquid drop model approach. This research is experimental description. The steps: 1) prepare literature studies of elements in the radioactive process; 2) reviewing some literatures; 3) do calculation simulation; 4) analyze and discuss the results of calculations; 5) conclude the research results. The calculation results show that the binding energy value of the Actinium Series based of liquid drop model approach is in accordance with the theory where the binding energy is directly proportional to the mass and the number of particles, so that the binding energy decreases in linear graph. The largest binding energy owned by 92U235 element is 1786,751 MeV. While the smallest binding energy owned by the 81Tl20 element is 1616,311 MeV. The disintegration energy found in the radioactive actinium series has a positive value, so this is in accordance with the conditions for the occurrence of decay, which is Q> 0. The largest disintegration energy produced from alpha decay by element 91Pa231 is 4.9335 MeV and the smallest binding energy generated from beta decay by the element 90Th231 is 0,0018 MeV.
