Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-confidence peserta didik, salah satunya disebabkan oleh  kurang tepatnya penerapan media dan model dalam suatu proses pembelajaran. Masalah tersebut menjadi alasan penelitian ini dilakukan, yaitu untuk menghasilkan media ajar berupa E-LKPD berbasis model Problem Based Learning yang terkategori valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-confidence peserta didik. Penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) ini mengikuti langkah-langkah ADDIE, yang dilaksanakan di kelas VII MTs Nurul Islam Airbakoman tahun ajaran 2023/2024 pada materi perbandingan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, tes, dan angket, yang kemudian di analisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil Pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning termasuk dalam kriteria valid dan praktis, dengan hasil penilaian ahli materi yakni 94,05%, dan ahli media 93,75%, yang terkategori valid. Selanjutnya, diperoleh hasil skor kepraktisan dari respon peserta didik yakni 90% dan guru 88,75%, sehingga produk dinyatakan praktis. Kemudian, berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis data posttest diperoleh kesimpulan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-confidence peserta didik menggunakan E-LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning. Didukung dari hasil uji proporsi terdapat 60% peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang masuk dalam kategori baik. Dari hasil temuan dan analisis data disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-confidence peserta didik.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the implementation of learning with the STEM approach to improving students' mathematization skills. The STEM approach includes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in real context. The study population was all VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 33 Bandarlampung in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year which were distributed in six classes, namely VIII A to VIII F heterogeneously. Sampling was done using cluster random sampling technique, VIII E class consisting of 32 students was selected as the experimental class and VIII D class consisting of 32 students as the control class. The research design used was pretest-posttest control group design. The data of this research is quantitative data obtained from the students' mathematization skills test. The test consists of three descriptive questions that have been tested and meet the validity and reliability criteria. Based on data analysis using Mann-Whitney U test, it was concluded that the improvement of mathematization skills of students who participated in learning with STEM learning was higher than the improvement of mathematization skills of students who participated in conventional learning. Thus, the implementation of STEM learning can improve students' mathematization skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe a sentiment model for elementary school students' comments on mathematics. Respondents in this study were 286 elementary school students in seven elementary schools in Bandar Lampung. Sentiment data were obtained through student comments that were collected in May-June 2024. Data analysis used sentiment analysis and mood analysis based on student comment texts carried out using Ekman's Basic Emotions classification. The analysis was carried out through Orange software using Corpus analysis, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and also tweet profiler. The results of the analysis revealed that: i) the sentiment of elementary school students was dominated by positive sentiment (percentage achievement of 50%), with the three most keywords expressed in students' textual comments about mathematics were "fun", "difficult", "hard"; ii) the sentiment displayed by grade 5 and grade 6 students was dominated by positive sentiment while grade 4 students predominantly caused negative sentiment; and iii) the results of Ekman's Basic Emotions classification showed that "Joy" was the most dominant emotion felt by students in their textual comments about mathematics, while "fear" was the emotion with the least occurrence in students' textual comments about mathematics. The implications of the finding for the model of positive sentiment of elementary school students towards mathematics which can be used as a basis for selecting research interventions and mathematics learning strategies/methods that are more appropriate for elementary school students.

Abstract

Problem solving skills and mathematical critical thinking must be possessed by students when learning mathematics. This study aims to determine the effect of problem solving ability with mathematical critical thinking. This study uses a correlational design (Correlational Design). Data collection techniques in the form of mathematical problem solving tests and mathematical critical thinking tests. The sample in this study was 56 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The research instrument used is a mathematical problem solving test and a mathematical critical thinking test instrument. The data analysis technique used is Simple Linear Regression analysis. Based on the results of Simple Linear Regression analysis, it was concluded that there was an effect of mathematical critical thinking skills on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The influence of mathematical critical thinking skills on mathematical problem solving abilities is 27%.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa dan kurangnya penerapan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan pendidikan di masa kini menjadi latar belakang dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Open Ended terhadap kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa SMP. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 270 siswa yang terdistribusi ke dalam 9 kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII A yang berjumlah 36 siswa dan VIII B yang berjumlah 38 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t menunjukkan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Open Ended lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil uji kesamaan dua proporsi menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis terkategori baik pada kelas yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Open Ended lebih tinggi daripada kelas yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Open Ended berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study aims to examine the effectiveness of the STEM approach in enhancing students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The research was motivated by the low learning outcomes and limited student engagement in mathematics learning, which are presumed to result from the use of less effective instructional approaches. The STEM approach was chosen because it enables students to understand mathematical concepts contextually while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration skills. The sample consisted of 30 students from class VIII-1 and 31 students from class VIII-2, selected through purposive sampling. This study employed a pretest–posttest control group design, with quantitative data obtained from mathematical concept understanding tests. Data were analyzed using nonparametric statistical tests, including the Mann–Whitney U test and proportion test. The results of the Mann–Whitney U test at a 0.05 significance level showed that zcalculated = 2.63 > ztable = 1.96, indicating that H₀ was rejected and H₁ accepted. The findings revealed a significant difference in the improvement of conceptual understanding between students who received STEM-based instruction and those who experienced conventional learning. Moreover, more than 60% of students taught using the STEM approach achieved a good level of conceptual understanding. Therefore, it can be concluded that the STEM approach is effective in improving students’ understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari self efficacy siswa dalam pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-1 SMPN 45 Bandar Lampung yang terdiri dari 25 orang siswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar observasi terhadap pembelajaran daring, lembar angket self efficacy, dan tes uraian dari soal kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang memiliki self efficacy rendah memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yang rendah dan sebaliknya siswa yang memiliki self efficacy tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang cukup baik dalam pembelajaran daring.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Daring, Self Efficacy, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical reasoning ability and self-esteem of high school students in class XI in the science program in learning mathematics for the subject matter of linear programming. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The sample in this study was 20 students who would be given a test in the form of a description of five questions and a self-esteem questionnaire totaling twenty-six statements. Analysis of research data was carried out by analyzing the results of students' answers according to indicators of mathematical reasoning abilities and the results of the self-esteem questionnaire given. The results of the analysis of students' answers obtained research results that (1) based on the results of the analysis of each indicator include: (a) Presenting mathematical statements in the form of pictures or writing, (b) Proposing allegations, (c) Carrying out mathematical manipulations, (d) Drawing conclusions, (e) Arranging evidence and providing reasons and solutions, and (f) Checking the validity of the arguments, the results are that students' mathematical reasoning abilities are categorized as very low; and (2) self-esteem analysis of students is categorized as good. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that the reasoning ability and self-esteem of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Talang Padang in class XI of the Linear Program material were categorized as good

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru Matematika SMA di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dalam memanfaatkan Artificial Intelligence (AI) untuk menyusun desain pembelajaran berbasis STEM yang berorientasi pada literasi matematis. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 46 guru anggota MGMP Matematika dan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, workshop, pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Guru diperkenalkan pada penggunaan tools AI (ChatGPT, Teachy, dan MagicSchool) serta penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis STEM. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest–posttest dan penilaian produk pembelajaran. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,60 (kategori sedang), serta kualitas produk berupa modul ajar, LKPD, dan instrumen penilaian yang berada pada kategori “Baik Sekali”. Kegiatan ini berhasil memperkuat penguasaan guru terhadap teknologi AI dan integrasi pembelajaran STEM, sehingga dapat mendukung peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa di sekolah.

Abstract

Pendidik profesional harus terus memperbarui empat kompetensi utama, termasuk kompetensi profesional. Dengan adanya perbaikan struktur kurikulum dan tuntutan adaptif dari berbagai sektor, guru dituntut untuk meningkatkan profesionalitasnya. Dalam konteks kurikulum merdeka, guru menghadapi tantangan dalam pengembangan pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pendalaman konsep. Survei menunjukkan bahwa guru matematika SMA di Bandar Lampung sangat membutuhkan pendalaman konsep statistika regresi, yang merupakan bagian dari kurikulum merdeka, dan 100% guru melaporkan bahwa siswa kesulitan memahami materi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan workshop kolaboratif reflektif pengembangan pembelajaran materi regresi linier berbantuan teknologi bagi guru matematika Kota Bandar Lampung dilaksanakan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru dalam menggunakan teknologi pada pembelajaran konsep regresi linier. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest, dengan hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Rata-rata skor meningkat dari 35,75 menjadi 62, dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,39 (kategori sedang). Meskipun sebagian besar peserta mengalami peningkatan di kategori sedang, antusiasme tinggi terlihat dalam penggunaan software SPSS, meski beberapa guru menghadapi kesulitan teknis. Rekomendasi untuk pelatihan berikutnya adalah memberikan lebih banyak waktu eksplorasi mandiri untuk adaptasi teknologi.
