Abstract The aim of this study is to determine whether visual media influences the improvement of Arabic language skills among participants of the Arabic language camp at the Islamic University of Selangor, Malaysia. Vocabulary mastery is a crucial foundation in Arabic language learning, as it determines one’s ability to understand and communicate effectively. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, where participants were divided into two groups: an experimental group taught using visual media and a control group taught through the lecture method. Data collection was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the independent t-test analysis showed a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the two groups. The experimental group demonstrated a significantly higher average score compared to the control group. The calculated t-value was 6.184, which exceeded the critical t-value of 2.021 at the 0.05 significance level, with a two-tailed significance of 0.001. These results indicate that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted, meaning that the use of visual media positively influences the improvement of Arabic vocabulary. These findings contribute significantly to the development of more effective and engaging Arabic language teaching strategies.

This study analyzes the sentence structure in the short story "Al-Shaut Al-Mukhif" by Hasan Muhammad Kamil using Kenneth L. Pike’s Tagmemic approach. The research employs a qualitative method with data analysis based on the Miles and Huberman model, which includes three main stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The aim of the study is to identify the patterns of positive sentence structures within the text. The results indicate that several positive sentences in the short story exhibit the patterns P + S + Adverbial and S + P + Complement. The analysis is based on the four main elements in Tagmemic theory: slot, class, role, and cohesion. These elements contribute to the cohesion of sentence structures, forming clear meaning and establishing systematic relationships among the components. This study demonstrates that the Tagmemic approach is not only relevant for formal linguistic studies but also highly effective in examining the relationship between structure and meaning in literary works, particularly short stories.

This research discusses YouTube video animation as a learning medium how the utilization of YouTube video animation as a learning medium in improving the Arabic vocabulary of class IV students of MIS Bina Santri Medan. Given the important role of media in supporting the success of the process and the achievement of expected learning outcomes, teachers should fully understand it as an integral part of the learning process in madrasah and is one aspect that must be of concern to teachers. The approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods were conducted through interviews, observations and documentation through class IV teachers of MIS Bina Santri Medan. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman method, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that using YouTube animated videos in vocabulary learning made it easier for teachers to convey material to students. Learning activities become more active, interesting and interactive so as to foster student motivation and interest in learning and have a positive impact on student vocabulary mastery. Audio visual media is very effective in learning at the MI level because in addition to cognitive it is also a stimulus for students' psychomotor.

The Holy Quran was filled with the miracle of God, one of isBadi’. Badi’ is the sciences of rhetoric, which is the science of Arabic language, which examines the rules of the Arabic language method used in writing and conversation. Badi’ is looking at the meaning or the word in terms of decorating and refining it. Mahmoud Sheikhan said that he knew of the object of improving the speech that is appropriate and clear. The researcher looked for the science of Badi’ in Surrah Al-Fath because this surrah is Madaniyah surrah, The Victory surrah for believers on infidels. And its has characteristics by the other in terms of wonderful methods that indicate the eloquence of the Quran. The methodology of this research is qualitative descriptive approach. The result of the research is: 1. The verses that include the numerals: verses 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 27, and 29; Verses containing the interview: verses 24 and 25. 2. The verses that include verbal enhancements in Surat Al-Fath are as follows: The verses that include the Courage: Verse 4-5, 11-13, 16-17, 19-20, 21-22, 25-26 and The verses that include the budget: Verse 6-11, 13-15, 18-19, 24-25, 27-29. Background: This research is motivated by the importance of innovation in learning evaluation media, especially in improving the quality of the Maharah Al Kitabah evaluation at Mutiara Al Madani Islamic Junior High School. So far, the evaluation methods used are still conventional and less able to arouse students' interest in learning. Based on observations and interviews with Arabic language teachers, it is known that the Wordwall application has been utilized as an alternative evaluation media that is more interesting and interactive. Purpose: This research aims to describe the utilization of Wordwall application as an evaluation media for Maharah Al Kitabah. Method: This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data sources consisted of Arabic teachers and learning activities in class VIII. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, while the data were collected through participatory observation and semi-structured interviews. The instruments used were observation guidelines and interview guidelines. The data analysis procedure followed the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results and Discussion: The results showed that the use of Wordwall helped teachers in preparing varied and fun evaluations and was able to increased student involvement in the learning process of Maharah Al Kitabah. This research also fills the gap related to the lack of utilisation of digital media in Arabic learning evaluation. Conclusions and Implications: In conclusion, Wordwall is effectively used as an evaluation medium for Maharah Al Kitabah and has a positive impact on students' learning process. The implication is that teachers need to continue to develop the utilisation of digital media in learning evaluation and become a reference for further research in the field of Arabic language education.

Deixis plays a crucial role in literary discourse by linking language to its narrative and social context. Despite its significance, pragmatic studies on deixis in Arabic literary texts remain limited. This study aims to analyze the use of deixis in the Arabic short story Al-Istighāthah by Zakaria Tamer using Yule’s (1996) theory. The research focuses on identifying and interpreting three types of deixis—personal, temporal, and spatial—and how they function within the narrative. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with contextual analysis, the data were derived from selected excerpts of the short story. The findings reveal that personal deixis clarifies character roles and relationships through pronoun usage, temporal deixis constructs the chronological framework via expressions such as al-ān and past-tense verbs, while spatial deixis situates events using references like bi-al-qurbi minhumā and fawqa arḍi Maysalūn. These deixis types do not merely serve referential functions but also reflect the emotional, social, and historical dimensions of the text. This study contributes to the pragmatic-stylistic analysis of Arabic literary works by highlighting how deixis shapes meaning and narrative engagement within a culturally loaded context.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan Kamus Online Al-Maany sebagai alternatif efektif dalam menterjemahkan teks Arab di kalangan mahasiswa IAIN Madura. Kamus Al-Maany, yang merupakan salah satu sumber daya daring yang cukup populer, menawarkan berbagai fitur yang mendukung proses penerjemahan dari bahasa Arab ke bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang melibatkan mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab di IAIN Madura. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Kamus Al-Maany mampu meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap makna kata dan frasa dalam teks Arab, meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala terkait dengan keterbatasan fitur dan ketepatan terjemahan. Namun demikian, pemanfaatan kamus ini terbukti efektif sebagai alat bantu dalam proses penerjemahan, terutama bagi mahasiswa yang kurang terbiasa dengan bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan metode pembelajaran bahasa Arab di perguruan tinggi, khususnya dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penerjemahan teks Arab.

Examining the dynamics of Arabic language teaching methods in Islamic boarding schools is essential for understanding the integration of traditional and modern approaches in addressing the challenges of the digital era. This study explores how pesantren adapt to technological innovations and identifies existing challenges. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, allowing the researcher to gain an in-depth understanding of complex phenomena and uncover how teaching methods are applied and evolve in the digital age. The analyzed data includes observations, interviews, and documentation. The research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren At-Tajdid Cepu. The findings indicate that: (1) The dynamics of Arabic language teaching methods at Pondok Pesantren At-Tajdid Cepu reflect an integration of developments ranging from traditional to modern methods. This transformation aims to balance Arabic language theory and practice, enhance students' motivation, and create relevant learning experiences in the digital era. (2) Arabic language learning faces internal challenges, such as limited facilities, teacher competency, and student motivation, as well as external challenges, including technological advancements and curriculum changes. To address these issues, the pesantren has improved teacher training, facilities, contextualized curriculum, external collaborations, and the use of technology to create more effective and relevant learning. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for developing relevant and effective Arabic language education.

Film media in Arabic language learning can transform classroom dynamics, making them more interactive, engaging, and enjoyable, and can alleviate student boredom. This research aims to explain the use of film media in Arabic language learning. This research employed a descriptive qualitative research approach, that utilizes a natural setting to interpret occurring phenomena and conducts this through various existing methods. The research findings indicate that the use of film media in Arabic language learning at MA Al UMM Malang has a significant positive impact on the teaching and learning process. First, films have successfully broadened students' knowledge of multimedia technology, making learning more engaging and relevant to current developments. Second, learning time becomes more effective and efficient since films convey material concisely and clearly. Third, students' listening skills are improved by listening to film dialogue, which improve pronunciation and understanding of Arabic context. Fourth, students' speaking skills have been developed through discussions and role-plays after watching the films. Fifth, students' writing skills were strengthened by writing assignments for film reviews or summaries. Finally, students' reading skills are also improved with the provided film-related texts. Overall, film media has enriched students' learning experiences and improved their overall Arabic language competence.

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach integrated with the Educaplay platform in enhancing students’ academic performance in Arabic language learning at SMP Insan Amanah Malang. A quantitative method was employed using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The research subjects consisted of all seventh-grade students, specifically classes VII-A and VII-B. Class VII-A was designated as the experimental group receiving the intervention, while class VII-B served as the control group. Data were collected through observations and written assessments to measure Arabic learning outcomes in both groups. The data analysis involved prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. The findings revealed a significant impact of implementing the CTL model supported by Educaplay on students’ academic achievement. This was confirmed by the hypothesis test result, showing an Asymp Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.019, which is below the 0.05 significance threshold. Consequently, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average pre-test score for the experimental group was 73.8462, while the control group scored 74.2308. After the intervention, the experimental group's average score increased to 86.1538, whereas the control group reached only 75. This discrepancy highlights the superior academic performance of students who received the specialized treatment. Based on this evidence, it can be concluded that integrating the CTL approach with the interactive Educaplay media contributes positively to improving students’ Arabic learning outcomes. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai sejauh mana pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang dipadukan dengan platform Educaplay dapat meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di SMP Insan Amanah Malang. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen dan model kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari seluruh siswa kelas VII, yaitu kelas VII-A dan VII-B. Kelas VII-A ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang mendapatkan perlakuan, sementara kelas VII-B berperan sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi serta tes tertulis untuk menilai hasil belajar bahasa Arab di kedua kelompok. Data dianalisis melalui uji prasyarat dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model CTL yang didukung oleh Educaplay berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui uji hipotesis yang menghasilkan nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001, lebih kecil dari nilai signifikansi 0,05, sehingga hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Berdasarkan analisis statistik deskriptif, rata-rata skor pretes siswa di kelompok eksperimen adalah 65,09, sementara kelompok kontrol memperoleh skor 70,90. Setelah perlakuan, skor rata-rata kelompok eksperimen meningkat menjadi 84,31, sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya mencapai 73,43. Perbedaan ini menegaskan bahwa siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan CTL dan Educaplay menunjukkan hasil akademik yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggabungan pendekatan CTL dengan media interaktif Educaplay memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar bahasa Arab siswa.
