Abstract

The relationship between humans and their environment, especially flora and fauna, produces a language in the form of proverbs. The Minang tribe has its own proverbs that have a relationship with the surrounding nature. The formation of these proverbs is none other than because of human relationships with the surrounding environment. This research aims to describe (1) the category and grammatical form of flora and fauna lexicons in Minang proverbs, (2) the metaphorical dialog model of Minang proverbs containing flora and fauna lexicons, and (3) the praxis dimension of Minang proverbs containing flora and fauna lexicons. This research employs ecolinguistics theory as an analytical tool. Ecolinguistics is a term resulting from the combination of two words, ecology and linguistics. The term refers to the study of languages in relation to their environmental contexts. Primary data sources come from interviews with one of the leaders of the Jambak tribe in Malalo, West Sumatra. Meanwhile, other data sources come from journals and books relevant to the research. The research used qualitative methods. In collecting data, researchers used interview and note-taking techniques. While data analysis techniques, researchers used the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data exposure, and conclusion drawing. The result of this research is that there are  flora and fauna lexicons from nine Minang proverbs. Flora lexicons are rice, weeds, cikarau, anau, and mingkudu. Fauna lexicons such as kabau, monitor lizard, bilalang, mancik, and ula. These ten lexicons are in the form of nouns and root words. There are three aspects of the environment or TOPOS: space, place and time. These three aspects have certain patterns and references. The praxis dimension in Minang proverbs is recorded in three praxis dimensions, namely the idological dimension (the Minang tribe's understanding of the flora and fauna lexicon), the social dimension (the relationship between the Minang people and nature), and the biological dimension (describing the biological characteristics of the flora and fauna lexicon).Hubungan manusia dengan lingkungan khususnya flora dan fauna menghasilkan sebuah bahasa berupa peribahasa. Suku Minang memiliki peribahasa tersendiri yang memperlihatkan hubungan mereka dengan alam sekitarnya. Pembentukan peribahasa tersebut tidak lain karena hubungan manusia dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) kategori dan bentuk gramatikal dari leksikon-leksikon flora dan fauna dalam peribahasa Minang, (2) model dialog metafora peribahasa Minang yang mengandung leksikon flora dan fauna, dan (3) dimensi praksis peribahasa Minang yang mengandung leksikon flora dan fauna. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori ekolinguistik sebagai pisau analisis yang  merupakan hasil penggabungan dua kata, yakni ekologi dan linguistik. Istilah itu mengacu pada pengkajian terhadap bahasa-bahasa yang terkait dengan lingkungan. Sumber data primer berasal dari hasil wawancara dengan salah satu pemuka suku Jambak di Malalo, Sumatera Barat. Sedangkan sumber data lainnya berasal dari jurnal dan buku yang relevan dengan penelitian. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan teknik wawancara dan catat. Pada analisis, peneliti menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, pemaparan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini ialah terdapat sembilan leksikon flora dan fauna dari sembilan peribahasa Minang. Leksikon flora, yaitu padi, ilalang, cikarau, anau, dan mingkudu. Leksikon fauna seperti kabau, biawak, bilalang, mancik, dan ula. Sembilan leksikon ini berupa nomina dan kata dasar. Terdapat tiga aspek lingkungan atau TOPOS yaitu ruang, tempat, dan waktu. Tiga aspek ini memiliki pola-pola dan acuan tertentu. Adapun dimensi praksis dalam peribahasa Minang terekam dalam tiga dimensi praksis, yaitu ideologis (pemahaman suku Minang terhadap leksikon flora dan fauna), sosiologis (hubungan masyarakat Minang dengan alam), dan biologis (menggambarkan ciri-ciri biologis dari leksikon flora dan fauna).

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the meaning of sakinah and tuma'ninah in the Qur'an through Thosihiko Izutsu's semantic approach. Sakinah is often interpreted as the calmness that Allah bestows on believers in stressful situations, while tuma'ninah refers to the tranquility of the heart that comes from strong belief and faith. Although the two seem similar, analysis shows that sakinah is more related to external and situational contexts, while tuma'ninah focuses on internal and spiritual tranquility. The research utilizes primary sources such as the Qur'an and various classical and modern tafsir to provide an in-depth and contextualized understanding of these two terms. The results confirm that understanding the differences and similarities between sakinah and tuma'ninah is crucial for Muslims in achieving true peace of mind. The findings contribute significantly to the field of Islamic studies and semantics, and offer practical guidance for achieving peace of mind in daily life.

Abstract

Dewasa ini aktivitas dakwah berbasis komunitas habaib semakin marak dan cenderung menjadi tren.  Meskipun dalam masa pandemi beberapa komunitas masih berjalan, termasuk Majelis Rasulullah kota Malang. Keberlangsungan dan keberhasilan majelis tersebut tidak terlepas dari kepemimpinan Habib sebagai sentripetal dalam setiap aktivitas keagamaan di dalamnya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa peran kepemimpinan Habib Muhammad bin Anies dalam keberlangsungan aktivitas keagamaan pada Majelis Rasulullah kota Malang berdasarkan perspektif Henry Mintzberg. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan metode studi kasus. Sumber data meliputi Habib Muhammad bin Anies, beberapa pengurus, aktivitas majelis, dan dokumen terkait. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, dengan teknik analisa data kualitatif: reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Habib Muhammad bin Anies menjalankan peran kepemimpinan yang meliputi: (1) peran pribadi, berbentuk dalam figur utama pemimpin dalam kegiatan, pengefektifan  setiap fungsional majelis, dan penciptaan jaringan kontak luar majelis, (2) peran informatif, berbentuk dalam pencarian informasi eksternal sebagai peluang dan ancaman, pencarian informasi kekuatan dan kelemahan organisasi, dan pemberian informasi majelis ke pihak luar, dan (3) peran pengambilan keputusan, berbentuk dalam  entrepreneurship, penyelesaian permasalahan, dan pengalokasian sumber daya.

Abstract

Fiqh Lughah wa Asrar Al-‘Arabiyyah is one of the important works in the development of Arabic linguistics. This book has two main discussions, first is fiqh lughah which discusses the specification of the meaning of Arabic vocabulary and the second is asrar al-‘arabiyyah which discusses the linguistics of the content and rules of the Arabic language. In the first discussion, there are chapters that have several specific categories such as kulliyyat, tartibat, tafshilat, taqsimat and others. This study aims to discuss one type of meaning categorization in the book of Fiqh Lughah wa Asrar Al-‘Arabiyyah that is tartibat and its relevance to the principle of taraduf (synonymy) in Arabic. The study is limited to the categorization of tartibat which includes the condition of human feelings and expressions so that the study can focus on the reflection of tartibat in relation to the form of relativity of taraduf in Arabic. This research method uses a qualitative research approach with reference to the analysis of literature studies. The results of this study are that there are six scopes (sub-categories) of the tartibat categorization in the book of Fiqh Lughah wa Asrar Al-‘arabiyyah which show human feelings and expressions consisting of tartibat al-buka`, tartibat al-dhahak, tartibat aushaf al-bakhil, tartibat al-hubb, tartibat al-ghadhab, and tartibat al-surur. From the six scopes of data, words with close meanings were found, but each shows a different situation specification.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Ummi method in learning Al-Qur’an at Al-Ihsan Mosque, Malang, and its role in community empowerment. The Ummi method, known for its structured and systematic approach, enhances reading accuracy and comprehension of Tajwid among the congregation. The findings reveal that the application of this method has significantly improved participants' Quranic reading skills through direct instruction, repetition, and affectionate teaching. Furthermore, Al-Ihsan Mosque has played a vital role in empowering the underprivileged through the effective management of infaq funds, scholarship programs, and basic needs assistance. However, challenges such as limited teaching space and the need for professional human resource management hinder the effectiveness of these initiatives. To optimize the impact, it is recommended to increase learning facilities, strengthen community collaborations, and establish objective assessment tools for aid distribution. Strengthening youth involvement and professional fund management will further enhance the sustainability of these programs, ensuring that community empowerment efforts are both impactful and equitable.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to analyze the representation of women's social roles in Amer Al-Jazie's caricatures on the Instagram account @amer_al_jazie using Sarah Mills' Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this study highlights four caricatures that display gender construction in Iraqi society. The results show that Amer Al-Jazie's caricatures represent the social role of women with a critical approach to the social construction of gender in Iraq. On the one hand, it criticizes patriarchy and traditional gender norms that oppress women, but on the other hand, it maintains certain gender stereotypes, which place men as the dominant party. Women are represented in various positions, both as subjects with agency and as objects controlled by patriarchal social structures. In Aljazie's caricatures, women are often positioned as individuals who are under social pressure, controlled and judged, whether in social media, state policies, households, or community norms, while men have more agency in determining their own roles and the roles of women.

Abstract

Children's fable stories are closely related to good values that become a supporting tool for children's growth process. Since narrative in storytelling is critical, this study aims to dissect the potential and functional structure in narratological studies and explore the moral values in the fabled story Al-Nahlah wa An-Namlah by Ridwan Syukri. This story is one of the Arabic children's stories in the Qashah lil Athfal anthology, with most of the stories belonging to the fable genre. The theory used in this research is narratology based on the perspective of A.J. Greimas. The method applied is descriptive qualitative. The data sources in this research are divided into two: (1) primary data sources, namely the fabled story An-Nahlah wa An-Namlah by Ridwan Syukri, and (2) secondary data sources, which are taken from various literature reviews to support the analysis process in this study. The data analysis technique follows the perspective of Miles and Huberman, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the story of Al-Nahlah wa An-Namlah has a perfect actantial structure. In addition, the functional structure fulfills all the required stages according to the functional structure in general. After analyzing both structures, the researcher concluded that there are two central values, namely (1) hard work and (2) care, which are undoubtedly essential to introduce to children to have moral learning since childhood.

Abstract

In a short story, the author certainly uses a good and correct language order to make it easier for readers to understand the contents of the carpen. Sometimes the writer also writes dialogs between characters in the storyline. These dialogues or narratives can be analyzed using Charles J Fillmore's theory which divides sentences into two kinds, namely modality and proposition. The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the forms of modality in the short story “Al-Malikun Najjar” based on Charles J Fillmore's theory and (2) describe the forms of proposition in the short story “Al- Malikun Najjar” based on Charles J Fillmore. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, which is a research method used to examine the condition of natural objects. where the researcher is the instrument. key. The data collection technique used is by recording and reading. Data were collected by means of: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) conclusion drawing. First, the data were carefully collected and recorded in the short story “Al-Malikun najjar”. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan aplikasi Fun Easy Arabic dalam pembelajaran keterampilan istima' di Darul Lughah Kanzun Najah Kota Batu. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan santri dalam menyimak, memahami pemahaman, serta menirukan pelafalan yang benar. Aplikasi ini menyediakan materi audio yang jelas dan berulang, serta fitur visualisasi yang memperkuat pemahaman makna. Selain itu, pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis permainan dalam aplikasi ini juga berhasil meningkatkan motivasi santri untuk berlatih secara mandiri. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan perangkat dan jaringan internet, penggunaan aplikasi ini secara keseluruhan mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan efektif, serta sejalan dengan teori pembelajaran bahasa kedua yang relevan. Berdasarkan temuan ini, aplikasi Fun Easy Arabic dapat menjadi media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan istima' bahasa Arab.

Abstract

Among the technology products that are widely used in education, especially Arabic language learning, are YouTube and Wordwall. This is what is applied in Arabic language learning at MAN 2 Yogyakarta. This paper aims to reveal how the combination of YouTube and Wordwall in Arabic language learning that is seen from the perspective of teachers and students. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach and case study type. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Yogyakarta with the research subjects were Arabic language teachers and students in class X-H. The data were collected through classroom observation and interview methods. From the data obtained, it is known that the utilization of YouTube and Wordwall in Arabic learning in class X-H MAN 2 Yogyakarta is carried out within the framework of introducing new mufradat starting from providing stimulants in the form of songs to vocabulary mastery exercises. In the series of using these two media, the advantages and disadvantages based on the perspectives of Arabic language teachers and students are also revealed. Some of the shortcomings have been realized from the beginning by Arabic teachers and strategic efforts have been made to overcome them.
