Abstract

Background: Public awareness of the implementation of the healthy living community movement is a crucial factor in improving health. Based on this, this study identifies health issues related to socioeconomic characteristics in rural areas. Purpose: To identify the correlation between socioeconomic characteristics and the implementation of the healthy living community movement in rural families. Method: This study used a quantitative correlational analytical design with a cross-sectional design. The study population was families in Sukamulya Village, with a sample size of 266 families using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using univariate frequency distribution analysis and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square correlation test for nominal data and the Spearman correlation test for ordinal data. Results: The correlation test showed a significant relationship (p-value <0.05) between occupation (p = 0.026), income (p = 0.001), and number of family members (p = 0.025) and the healthy living community movement within the family. The majority of respondents indicated poor family health practices, almost all of whom worked as laborers earning below the minimum wage (IDR 3,500,000), with family members ranging from 1 to 5 people. The correlation indicates a positive relationship, as the r value is positive. This means that the higher the employment and income levels, the better the family health practices, and vice versa. Meanwhile, the larger the family size, the poorer the family health practices. Conclusion: This study found that the implementation of the healthy living movement in the relevant area remains inadequate, although some communities have adequate health practices. This indicates that family health practices are not optimally implemented in daily life. Suggestion: Further improvement is needed through a community-based approach to health promotion, with an emphasis on advocacy to continuously encourage the community to improve family health practices, especially those of low socioeconomic status.   Keywords: Family; Healthy Living Community Movement; Socioeconomics.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and evaluate the validity and reliability of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) based learning materials with a multimodal approach to improve critical thinking skills and digital literacy of junior high school students on the topic of Work, Energy, and Simple Machines. The developed devices include Learning Objectives Flow (ATP), teaching modules, PBL–multimodal model designs, and instruments for measuring critical thinking and digital literacy. Validation was conducted by four expert validators using Aiken's V analysis, while reliability was tested with Percentage of Agreement (PA). The research results show that all instruments are in the valid category, with validity values: ATP = 0.82; teaching module = 0.82; PBL-multimodal model = 0.85; critical thinking instrument = 0.84; and digital literacy instrument = 0.84. The reliability of all instruments is also high, namely: ATP = 0.87; teaching module = 0.93; PBL-multimodalal model = 0.91; critical thinking instrument = 0.95; and digital literacy instrument = 0.93. These findings confirm that the developed instrument is content-valid, presentation-valid, construction-valid, and language-valid, and that it is consistent across validators. The validator provided suggestions for improvement, such as variations in creative activities in the ATP, improvements to the teaching modules, multimodal integration in the learning model, condensing critical thinking essay questions, and modifying digital literacy questions into multiple-choice format. Thus, this PBL–multimodal device is proven to be valid and reliable, and has the potential to support 21st-century skills, particularly critical thinking and digital literacy.

Abstract

Early inculcation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a primary pillar of public health; however, Wudhu (ablution) is often viewed merely as a spiritual ritual, overlooking its substantial hygiene benefits. This study aims to analyze the role of wudu as a systematic health education instrument. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach, integrating fiqh literature, educational theory, and clinical medical evidence. The results indicate that wudu meets clinical personal hygiene standards through a mechanism of habitualization. Medically, wudu stages are proven effective for pathogen decontamination; hand washing disrupts the fecal-oral transmission of Escherichia coli and Salmonella bacteria, while istinsyaq functions as nasal irrigation that reduces Staphylococcus aureus colonization and enhances mucociliary clearance in the nasopharynx. In conclusion, reconstructing the understanding of wudu from a mere ritual into a preventative sanitation procedure can accelerate the internalization of PHBS values in educational and community settings.

Abstract

Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for infants aged 0–24 months because it contains nutrients, antibodies, and enzymes that are essential for growth and immunity. The WHO and UNICEF recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months because it has been proven to improve infant development and protect against disease. However, many mothers experience obstacles such as delayed production and blocked milk ducts. One effective non-pharmacological solution is warm compresses, which work by increasing blood flow and the release of prolactin and oxytocin hormones, therapy facilitating milk production and secretion. This literature review aims to examine the effectiveness of warm compresses on milk production in postpartum mothers. The method used was a scoping review guided by the PRISMA Extension for. Scoping Review, using the PICO search strategy. Literature searches were conducted through the Pubmed, EBSCO, ScienceDirect, and Scopus databases, as well as a manual search on Google Scholar for the period 2021-2025.the results of the study showed that interventions to facilitate breast milk massage and warm compresses, traditional Thailand massage, steamed ginger extract, with warm compresses, warm compresses for breast milk stagnation, warm compresses for smooth breast milk flow, warm compresses for breast production, warm compresses for reducing breast milk stagnation. From the selection results, seven relevant articles were obtained. The application of warm compresses to the breasts of postpartum mothers has been proven to be an effective, safe, and easy-to-implement non-pharmacological nursing intervention in increasing milk production and facilitating milk flow in postpartum mothers.
