Abstract

The background of this research is that when students learn Arabic language skills they have difficulty in writing Arabic. This study aims to develop and analyze the feasibility of khat and imla 'materials for seventh grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah. This development research uses the Borg and Gall development research model with six stages. The results of this study indicate that teaching materials have been developed according to the Borg and Gall seven-step model, namely problem and potential identification, information gathering, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision. The results of the validation of the developed teaching materials showed that the material experts assessed that the developed product was very well qualified, the learning expert was very well qualified, and the media expert was also very well qualified.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze research trends regarding the role of Islamic Boarding Schools (IBS) in character building, as well as to explore opportunities for further research development. Using bibliometric analysis, out of 155 articles found in the Mendeley reference database, Taylor & Francis, and Wiley, 5 articles met the strict selection criteria. The literature review process followed the PRISMA guidelines to ensure the quality of the results, and the data were analyzed with the help of VOSviewer 1.6.20 software. The findings of this study indicate that IBS plays a significant role with a unique and deeper approach compared to other educational institutions in shaping the character of students (santri), marked by the comprehensive integration of moral and religious values. The educational approach includes co-curricular, intra-curricular, extra-curricular activities, as well as the habituation of Islamic values. IBS contributes not only to religious education but also in shaping a generation that is religious, nationalistic, independent, and of high integrity. The challenges faced include adapting to technological developments, lack of family involvement, and the need for the revitalization of educational management. This study recommends strengthening the curriculum based on Islamic values, intensive training for teachers, increasing family involvement in the educational process, and revitalizing educational management to better accommodate the needs of santri in the digital era. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tren penelitian mengenai peran Islamic Boarding School (IBS) dalam pembentukan karakter, serta mengeksplorasi peluang untuk pengembangan penelitian lebih lanjut. Dengan menggunakan analisis bibliometrik, Dari 155 artikel yang ditemukan pada database Mendeley reference, Taylor & Francis, dan Wiley, 5 artikel berhasil memenuhi kriteria seleksi yang ketat. Proses tinjauan pustaka ini mengikuti pedoman PRISMA untuk memastikan kualitas hasil, dan data dianalisis menggunakan dengan bantuan perangkat lunak VOSviewer 1.6.20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa IBS memiliki peran signifikan serta pendekatan yang khas dan lebih mendalam dibandingkan dengan lembaga pendidikan lainnya dalam pembentukan karakter santri, yang ditandai dengan integrasi nilai-nilai moral dan religius secara menyeluruh. Pendekatan pendidikan yang dilakukan mencakup kegiatan ko-kurikuler, intrakurikuler, ekstrakurikuler, serta habituasi nilai-nilai Islam. IBS berkontribusi tidak hanya dalam mengajarkan ilmu agama, tetapi juga dalam membentuk generasi yang religius, nasionalis, mandiri, dan berintegritas. Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi adaptasi terhadap perkembangan teknologi, kurangnya keterlibatan keluarga, serta kebutuhan untuk revitalisasi manajemen pendidikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kurikulum berbasis nilai-nilai Islam, pelatihan intensif bagi para guru, peningkatan keterlibatan keluarga dalam proses pendidikan, serta revitalisasi manajemen pendidikan untuk lebih mengakomodasi kebutuhan santri di era digital.

Abstract

Mastering vocabulary is essential for language acquisition, particularly in Arabic. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of AVLI (Arabic Vocabulary on Lectora Inspire) for grade X students at Baitul Jannah Integrated Islamic High School. Employing a research and development approach, this study utilized the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Data were collected through documentation, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The findings revealed that the Lectora Inspire-based mufradat learning media is deemed feasible, achieving a feasibility test score of 75% from material expert validators and 90% from media validators. User feedback was positive, with 86% of 106 respondents finding the learning media engaging. Moreover, AVLI proved effective in enhancing mufradat learning, evidenced by an increase in average student scores from 65.5 on the pretest to 85.5 on the posttest, a rise of 30 points. Consequently, this study concludes that Lectora Inspire-based learning media is both feasible and effective for teaching mufradat to grade X students, highlighting its potential implications for Arabic language education.

Abstract

The Arabic language is considered a global international language, so references and sources were used in arabic and this language is not taught just for religious language but this language is taught to find out the arabic texts or references and sources written in arabic and to understand them well as well as to understand the Qur’anic texts and the purified prophetic texts or in other words as it has circulated on the tongues of the majority of the people of Indonesia that the Arabic language is the religious language because most of the Indonesian society were muslims as they used in some of their traditions and the application of some of the teachings of their religion in the Arabic language such as invitations, prayers, dhikr, supplications, wirds and the like, because the Arabic language has unique natures, distinct and universal, as this language is characterized by special and unique natures that differ from other languages, and the universality of this language is evident in the availability of a set of common values between the Arabic language and other languages.

Abstract

This study is motivated by challenges in learning Arabic speaking skills (Maharah al-Kalam), such as less interactive teaching methods, limited learning media, and low student motivation. Along with the development of technology, the utilization of digital platforms such as Canva is considered an innovative solution to improve speaking skills in Arabic. This study aims to analyze the role of Canva in the development of Maharah al-Kalam through a literature review of various previous studies. The method used is a literature review by examining various studies that discuss the effectiveness of Canva in Arabic language learning. The results showed that Canva can be an interesting and interactive learning media, helping students to enrich their vocabulary, increase their confidence, and improve their pronunciation in speaking Arabic. In addition, Canva can be applied in flipped classroom-based learning models and other technology-based approaches to strengthen students' learning experience. The contribution of this study is to provide insights into effective strategies in utilizing Canva to improve Arabic speaking skills as well as highlighting the challenges in its implementation. The implication of this study shows that the integration of Canva in Arabic language learning can be a strategic step for educators in developing technology-based learning methods that are more interactive and communicative.

Abstract

Arabic speaking proficiency (maharah al-kalam) continues to face pedagogical challenges, particularly in pronunciation, vocabulary, and contextual comprehension. This study aims to analyze the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in visual illustrations as instructional media to enhance Arabic speaking skills. Employing a systematic literature review method, the study examines 20 selected articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings reveal that AI-generated visual media significantly improve learners’ vocabulary acquisition, contextual understanding, and engagement in speaking activities. The study implies that AI can be effectively utilized as a pedagogical tool to promote more interactive and context-based Arabic instruction. Its primary contribution lies in proposing a visually oriented AI approach, distinguishing it from previous research that largely focused on text-based applications or chatbot systems.

Abstract

Metode Pembalajan Imla’ yang diterapkan guru di SMA IT Ponpes Al-Mujtama’ Al-Islami belum dilaksanakan secara maksimal, yakni belum melaksanakan sesuai langkah-langkah Imla’ yang benar, sehingga keterampilan menulis peserta didik dari 28 orang yang tuntas 12 orang (42,85%) dan yang belum tuntas 16 orang (57,15%). Artinya keterampilan menulis peserta didik rendah. Adapun rumusan masalahnya: “ Apakah Penerapan Metode Imla’ dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis peserta didik kelas X SMA IT Ponpes Al-Mujtama’ Al-Islami Karang Anyar Lampung Selatan Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016?  Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan jenis Penelitian  Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana Penerapan Metode Imla’ untuk meningkatkan ketermpilan menulis Bahasa Arab bagi peserta didik kelas X SMA IT Ponpes Al-Mujtama’ Al-Islami. Teknik untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa metode yaitu metode interview, metode observasi, metode dokumentasi dan tes.Berdasarkanpaparan di atas, makatemuanpenelitian yang diperolehbahwahasil pra siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II dapat dikemukakan sebagai berikut: pada pra siklus sebelum guru menerapkan metode Imla’ dari 28 peserta didik yang tuntas sebanyak 12 orang (42,85%) dan yang tidak tuntas 16 orang (57,15%) artinya keterampilan menulis peserta didik rendah. Selanjutnya, pada siklus I setelah guru menerapkan metode Imla’ sesuai langkah yang benar, maka kemahiran menulis peserta didik dari 28 peserta didik yang tuntas  terdapat 20 orang (71,42%) dan yang tidak tuntas terdapat 8 orang (28,57%), berarti terjadi peningkatan pada siklus I yaitu sebanyak 8 orang  (28,57%), sedangkan pada siklus II dari 28 peserta didik yang tuntas sebanyak 26 orang (92,85%) dan yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 2 orang (7,14%), berarti pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 6 orang (21,42%). Artinya setelah menerapkan  metode Imla’ terjadi peningkatan sebesar 49,99%.

Abstract

Abstrak Fakta di lapangan mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar pendidikan mahasiswa sebelum melanjutkan studinya di perguruan Tinggi Islam menjadi salah satu penyebab kendala pembelajaran bahasa Arab di perguruan tinggi. Mahasiswa yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan pesantren, madrasah aliyah, atau madrasah aliyah program khusus, tentu memiliki kemampuan untuk memahami bahasa Arab lebih baik dibanding mahasiswa yang memiliki latar belakang sekolah umum. Teiring dengan fakta dimaksud, tentu memiliki cita untuk dibuatkan klasifikasi kelas, metode, dan kebijakan dari dua kelompok latar belakang pendidikan mahasiswa yang berbeda ini, maka hasil pembelajaran bahasa Arab di perguruan tinggi tidak akan tercapai sesuai dengan target yang diharapkan. Agar target tersebut dapat tercapai maka pembelajaran bahasa Arab, khususnya IAIN Raden Intan Lampung, harus melaksanakan placement test berdasarkan kemampuan atau pemisahan kelas sesuai dengan latar belakang pendidikannya, atau dengan cara memberikan program remedial bagi mahasiswa yang berasal dari sekolah umum. Di samping itu, kurikulum dan sumber daya dosen perlu juga ditingkatkan.  Kata kunci: Bahasa Arab, kurikulum, pendidikan, mahasiswa

Abstract

This study analyzes the correlation between the Nahwu Sulamus Shibyan and Jurumiyah books in qowaid learning (al-Qawaid al-Nahwiyyah). The research aimed to compare both books based on Mackey's theoretical framework, which includes the aspects of selection, gradation, presentation, and repetition. Qualitative (library research) and comparative descriptive methods were used and the data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that Sulamus Shibyan applies an inductive approach while Jurumiyah applies a deductive method. Both books, designed for beginners, use simple language and rotary gradation with contextual presentation methods. However, they differ in repetition techniques. The study concluded that Sulamus Shibyan is more suitable and easier for beginners at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al Mubarok to understand al-Qowaid al-Nahwiyyah. This research contributed to determining the most effective textbook for novice Arabic learners, with Sulamus Shibyan recommended as a foundational guide for learning al-Qowaid al-Nahwiyyah in early-level Islamic education.
