The study utilized a quantitative approach and the data collection technique involved distributing and collecting questionnaires (surveys) through Google Forms. The respondents selected for this study were students from FKIP at the Universitas Jambi, with a sample size of 218 respondent from total population of 8,968. The data analysis technique used Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to develop a model that describes the relationships between the variables. The results of indicated that, in the first hypothesis, self-efficacy has a P-value of 0.007, indicating a significant influence on academic performance. In the second hypothesis, emotional intelligence has a P-value of 0.008, also showing a significant influence on academic performance. Finally, in the third hypothesis, learning motivation has a P-value of 0.008, suggesting a significant influence on academic performance. Therefore, this research concluded that self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and learning motivation have a positive and significant impact on students' academic performance. Based on these findings, this research contributed to the understanding that increasing self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and learning motivation can significantly improve students' academic achievement. Therefore, interventions designed to improve these aspects can be an effective strategy for improving academic performance among students at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Universitas Jambi.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of self-efficacy, academic stress, and academic fatigue on the learning outcomes of students at the University of Jambi. Using a quantitative survey method, data were collected via an online questionnaire distributed to 200 randomly selected students from various faculties. The results indicate that self-efficacy positively affects learning outcomes, while academic stress and academic fatigue have negative effects. The structural model shows significant relationships between academic burnout and learning outcomes (β = 0.698, p < 0.001), academic stress and learning outcomes (β = 0.167, p < 0.001), and self-efficacy and academic stress (β = 0.300, p < 0.001). These findings suggest that students with higher self-efficacy are more capable of managing their time, seeking assistance, and maintaining a positive approach to their studies—skills that help them cope with academic pressures and reduce stress. The study underscores the importance of developing interventions to enhance self-efficacy and reduce academic stress and fatigue, such as psychological counseling, stress management programs, and academic support services. These efforts are essential for improving student performance and well-being. The findings are expected to inform the development of educational programs and student welfare policies at the University of Jambi through strategic institutional planning and policy refinement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and social support on students' interest in participating in cross-major courses in the Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) at Jambi University. The approach used is ex post facto with the PLS-SEM method, using SmartPLS 3.2.9, and involving 110 students as respondents. The research instrument consists of 34 statements covering the variables of self-efficacy (X1), social support (X2), and student interest (Y). The analysis results show that self-efficacy and social support significantly affect student interest. The reliability and validity tests show that all constructs meet the standards with a Cronbach’s Alpha value above 0.9. These findings confirm that self-efficacy and social support play a crucial role in increasing students' interest in cross-departmental courses. Higher education institutions need to strengthen these two factors to increase student participation in interdisciplinary academic programs. Abstract

This study explores the impact of instructional leadership and teacher self-efficacy on job satisfaction among teachers in Indonesian Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah), focusing on the mediating role of school climate. Instructional leadership plays a crucial role in shaping a positive school environment, which can enhance teacher job satisfaction by providing necessary guidance, resources, and support. A mixed-method approach was employed, with data collected from 219 teachers using validated survey instruments. The Content Validity Index (CVI) was used to ensure instrument reliability. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to assess relationships between variables and the mediating effect of school climate. The results show that instructional leadership significantly impacts both school climate and teacher job satisfaction, with path coefficient values of .463 and .818, respectively. However, school climate did not significantly mediate the relationship between instructional leadership and job satisfaction. Teacher self-efficacy, while positively influencing school climate (p < .05), did not have a substantial direct effect on job satisfaction (ß = -0.058). This research provides fresh insights into the nuanced interplay between leadership, teacher self-efficacy, and job satisfaction in the context of Islamic schools. The findings highlight school climate's indirect yet pivotal role in educational leadership dynamics. By integrating these variables, the study offers practical recommendations for improving leadership strategies and enhancing teacher well-being in faith-based educational settings.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has recently gained prominence in higher education, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines, offering transformative potential for learning and innovation. However, students’ adoption of AI tools is influenced by multiple psychological and contextual factors. This study aims to examine the effects of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence on students’ behavioral intentions to integrate AI into STEM education. A quantitative research design was employed, involving 203 undergraduate students from the University of Jambi and Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS 3.3 to identify direct and mediating relationships among variables. The findings revealed that performance expectancy significantly influenced students’ behavioral intentions, indicating that perceived usefulness of AI outweighs ease of use in determining adoption. Effort expectancy also had a substantial effect and mediated the relationship between performance expectancy and behavioral intentions, while social influence showed no significant impact. These results highlight that students’ engagement with AI in STEM learning is driven more by perceived academic and functional benefits than by peer or social reinforcement. The novelty of this study lies in its integration of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework with the STEM education context in developing countries, providing new empirical insights into AI adoption behavior. The study recommends designing AI-supported learning environments that emphasize practical benefits, user-friendly interfaces, and pedagogical integration to enhance students’ learning outcomes and technological readiness.
