Biotechnology includes topic about gene and nuclear cloning is a very challenging subject to study at high school. Without proper Media aid, misconception will more likely to occur among students. The use of Inquiry-based Interactive Multimedia was expected to reduce the misconception about cloning process since it is visualized more clearly. This study was aimed to measure slope misconception of student and to analyze the application of Inquiry-based Interactive Multimedia to minimize student misconception on Biotechnology subject. The research was conducted at MAN 8 Jakarta on May 2012 using a quasi experimental method and pretest-posttest control group design. A total of 40 science students were taken equally from IPA 1 and IPA 2 classes at grade 10 to become experimental and control groups. They were selected by simple random sampling. A test of multiple choice questions with five alternative answers was used as the study instrument. To detect for any misconception, the test result was measured by Certainty of Response Index (CRI). Using this technique, there were 8 % misconception found on the pre-test and 7% on the post-test. As the conclusion, the use of Inquiry-based Interactive Multimedia was effective to minimize student misconception on Biotechnology subject.

Slow loris are Indonesia’s primate that is protected and in threat. Slow loris existence in the nature are very thoughtful due to lack of habitat, illegal hunting, and illegal trading. This is because the lack of people awareness about slow loris existence so that it is necessary to held an activity that can improve conservation awareness like Slow Loris Awarenessthat held by Yayasan IAR (International Animal Rescue) Indonesia. The aim of this research was to know the comparison of junior high school student comprehension about slow loris conservation based on participation on Slow Loris Awareness activity. This research was conducted atjunior high school 14 of Jakarta on July 2012. The method of the research was quasi-experiment with nonrandomized control group, pretest-posttest design. The research sample was student of class VIII B and VIII D with 32 students each. The instruments that used were comprehension test question. The analysis prerequisite test was normal and homogen. This research showed that the average of pretest score for experiment class was 61,58 and postest score was 75,18, meanwhile the average of pretest score for control class was 63,05 and postest score was 68,38.The hypothesis was tested using t test showed reject H0, It could be conclude that the comprehension about slow loris conservation on junior high school students who participated in Slow Loris Awareness activity were better than students who did not participate.

Taman Monumen Nasional (Monas) Jakarta memiliki nilai ekologi yang signifikan sebagai ruang terbuka hijau di tengah kota. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi parameter pohon, meliputi tinggi pohon dan bukaan kanopi, guna mendukung pengelolaan ruang hijau yang lebih efektif. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pengukuran langsung tinggi pohon menggunakan Clinometer serta analisis bukaan kanopi dengan aplikasi GLAMA berbasis fotografi hemispherical. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai jenis pohon di kawasan Monas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi tinggi pohon dengan nilai tertinggi sebesar 13,52 meter dan terendah 2,64 meter. Bukaan kanopi sebagian besar menunjukkan tingkat penutupan tinggi, yang berkontribusi pada keseimbangan mikroklimat dan perlindungan ekosistem di bawahnya. Studi ini memberikan wawasan penting untuk pengelolaan vegetasi perkotaan berbasis data dan relevansi teknologi dalam ekologi pohon. Data tinggi pohon dan bukaan kanopi memiliki implikasi strategis dalam perencanaan dan pengelolaan ruang hijau, terutama dalam memastikan fungsi ekologis tetap optimal di tengah tekanan urbanisasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya keterpaduan antara tujuan konservasi ekologi dan strategi manajemen lanskap kota secara berkelanjutan, sehingga relevansi antara parameter ekologis dengan kebijakan tata kelola ruang hijau menjadi lebih komprehensif.

Keanekaragaman hayati di ruang terbuka hijau perkotaan memainkan peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem, termasuk interaksi mikroorganisme seperti alga dan lichen. Studi ini mengamati asosiasi interspesifik antara alga dan lichen pada batang pohon mahoni (Swietenia mahagoni) di Tebet Eco-Park, Jakarta. Metode purposive sampling digunakan untuk menentukan lokasi penelitian, dengan pengamatan dilakukan pada plot kuadrat berukuran 8 × 8 cm. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-kuadrat untuk mengevaluasi hubungan antara kedua organisme. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya asosiasi positif yang signifikan, beberapa faktor lingkungan yg dapat mempengaruhi seperti intensitas cahaya dan kelembapan. Alga dan lichen yang berasosiasi pada substrat ini tidak hanya menunjukkan adaptasi ekologis, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai indikator biologis kualitas lingkungan. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang dinamika mikroorganisme di kawasan perkotaan, khususnya dalam konteks ekosistem ruang terbuka hijau.

Coral reefs are ecosystems that have a diversity of biota in them. The main causes of damage to coral reefs are natural and human factors. This research was conducted from October to December 2022 in Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of climate change and human activities on damage to coral reef ecosystems and the surrounding marine biota. The method used is a literature study by collecting data and information from various research sources. The result is the influence of human activities and climate change on the destruction of coral reef ecosystems and marine and surrounding biota. There are significant impacts resulting from climate change and human activities on coral reefs and the surrounding marine biota, such as sea level rise, coral reef bleaching, and damage due to physical impacts.

The cuscus is endemic to Sulawesi which now based on data from the IUCN has an endangered status caused by the destruction of the cuscus' natural habitat as well as poaching. This research was conducted to determine the natural habitat of the cuscus and conservation efforts to maintain the sustainability of the cuscus in Indonesia. This study uses a literature review method. The data obtained was then analyzed quantitatively by calculating a similarity index to find out the similarity of the cuscus habitat and finding solutions for conservation efforts that can be carried out. Based on the results of a literature review, it is known that cuscus can be found in the Sulawesi archipelago, at low, medium and high altitudes. This statement is reinforced by the results of calculating the similarity index which shows an index value of more than 0.50 for each observation location which indicates a fairly even distribution of cuscus. Meanwhile, efforts to preserve the existence of the cuscus are through efforts to appreciate the value of the existence of the cuscus as an endemic animal to Indonesia, taking part in protecting the cuscus' natural habitat and not engaging in poaching, and complying with Indonesian conservation regulations.

This study aims to determine the influence of scientific-based practicum methods on environmental pollution materials on students' science process skills. This research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental research design. This research was carried out from January to June 2024. The sampling technique employed was simple random sampling, obtaining 60 students divided into experimental and control classes. From the results of the pretest, the initial science process skills of students in both classes were high. Furthermore, the posttest results showed that there was an increase in science process skills, which was very high. The results of the independent sample t-test on the gain score data showed that the scientific-based practicum method on environmental pollution materials affected the students' science process skills. Based on the value of n gain in the experimental class, the effect is categorized as moderate. Thus, the practicum method with a scientific approach to environmental pollution materials can be used as an alternative solution to overcome the low skills of students' science processes.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode praktikum berbasis saintifik pada materi pencemaran lingkungan terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Januari – Juni 2024. Pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling memperoleh 60 peserta didik yang terbagi dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dari hasil pretest, keterampilan proses sains awal peserta didik di kedua kelas termasuk tinggi, lalu hasil posttest menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan proses sains menjadi sangat tinggi. Hasil uji t-independen pada data gain score menunjukkan bahwa metode praktikum berbasis saintifik pada materi pencemaran lingkungan berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Berdasarkan nilai n gain pada kelas eksperimen, pengaruh tersebut berkategori sedang. Dengan demikian, metode praktikum dengan pendekatan saintifik pada materi pencemaran lingkungan dapat dijadikan sebagai solusi alternatif untuk mengatasi rendahnya keterampilan proses sains peserta didik.

LKPD yang baik bisa mendorong peserta didik berpikir kritis, mengembangkan keterampilan sains, dan membuat proses belajar biologi lebih hidup dan interaktif yang diharapkan mampu membuat hasil belajar menjadi meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan LKPD praktikum biologi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Digunakan pendekatan pre-experimental design dengan jenis one group pretest-posttest design dalam penelitian ini. Sampel diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa thitung>ttabel dengan nilai 1,824>1,779 yang berarti H0 ditolak, artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah penerapan LKPD praktikum biologi pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Kesimpulannya penerapan LKPD praktikum Biologi pada materi perubahan lingkungan terbukti membuat hasil belajar peserta didik menjadi meningkat yang dilihat kenaikan nilai pada post-test.

This study aims to analyze the diversity of fish species found in the Mangrove Ecotourism area in Pantai Indah Kapuk. This research was conducted 2 times, namely on May 26 -June 12 2020. Fish sampling in this study used a data survey method. The results obtained were 39 fish which were classified into 8 fish species and belonged to 6 families. The goldfish species (Cyprinus carpio) belonging to the Cyprinidae family is the species with the highest number found in the Pantai Indah Kapuk Mangrove Ecotourism area. From observations made at 2 stations, 9 goldfish (Cyprinus carpio) were obtained. Apart from carp (Cyprinus carpio), the most common species found in the 2 research stations was catfish (Clarias gariepinus) with a total of 7, followed by mujaer fish (Oreochromis mossambicus) and swamp sedge fish (Trichogaster trichopterus), each of which found as many as 5 tails. Then other species have a number of individuals that vary between 3-4 tails. Based on the results of research conducted at 2 stations, the Fish Species Diversity index in the Mangrove Ecotourism Area in Pantai Indah Kapuk is in the low category with a value of 1.9.

Research on the inventory of medicinal plants at Jakarta State University Campus B was conducted from May to June 2020 at Universitas Negeri Jakarta Campus B, which is located on Jalan. Youth No.10, Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur. This study aims to determine the types of medicinal plants at Campus B. The parts of the plants used as medicine, and the types of diseases that can be treated. Research using descriptive method and literature study method. The results of the study were based on the data obtained that medicinal plants in Campus B, Jakarta State University consisted of 17 types of medicinal plants consisting of 17 families.
