Abstract

This research aims to produce a spelling education tool that meets the criteria of (a) validity, (b) practicality, and (c) effectiveness to improve the higher-order thinking skills of school students. This research is development research that refers to the Borg & Gall model which consists of 10 steps. The developed tool included a set of syllabus, class activity planning, worksheets for students, and tests. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students of Izzatul Islam Getasan Elementary, Semarang Regency. The data collection technique utilized methods of focused group discussion (FGD) and product assessment. Data analysis utilized descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative techniques. Research results indicate that the spelling education tool developed successfully met the criteria of (a) validity with a very good category, based on validity assessment by experts in education and linguistics. The tool developed also met the criteria of (b) practicality with good category, based on the scale of responses from teachers and students. The tool developed also met the criteria of (c) effectiveness with a very significant effect in improving students' higher-order thinking skills, based on the results of the effectiveness test using the Mann-Whitley statistical test. Thus it can be concluded that the development of this spelling education tool has successfully met the targeted criteria to improve the higher order thinking skills of school students.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran ejaan yang memenuhi kriteria (a) valid, (b) praktis, dan (c) efektifuntuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu padamodelBorg&Gallyang terdiri atas 10 langkah. Perangkat yang dikembangkan meliputi silabus, Rancangan Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD), dan penilaian. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDIT Izzatul Islam Getasan, Kabupaten Semarang.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode focused group discussion (FGD) dan penilaian produk. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran ejaan yang dikembangkan berhasil memenuhi kriteria (a) valid dengan kategori sangat baik, berdasarkan penilaian uji validitas dari ahli pendidikan dan ahli bahasa. Perangkat yang dikembangkan juga memenuhi kriteria (b) praktis dengan kategori baik, berdasarkanskala respon dari guru dan siswa. Perangkat yang dikembangkan juga memenuhi kriteria(c) efektif dengan pengaruh yang sangat signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa, berdasarkan hasil pengujian efektifitas melalui uji statistika Mann-Whitley. Bisa disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ejaan ini berhasil memenuhi kriteria yang ditargetkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi siswa sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan variasi tugas dan aktivitas pembelajaran dalam masa pandemi korona. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menghasilkan data deskripsi berupa deskripsi variasi tugas dan aktivitas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMKN 9 Surakarta dalam masa pandemi korona, dampak, dan kendala dari variasi tugas dan aktivitas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMKN 9 Surakarta dalam masa pandemi korona bagi siswa dan guru. Pemeroleh data dengan metode wawancara dan observasi. Analisis data dalam studi ini menggunakan model interaktif. Analisis data dengan model interaktif dilakukan melalui tiga tahap yang meliputi: reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Variasi tugas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMKN 9 Surakarta dalam masa pandemi korona bervariatif. Variasi tugas tersebut antara lain mencari sebuah puisi yang berkaitan dengan pademi corana di internet, pembacaan sebuah puisi, mecari drama di internet maupun menonton drama di YouTube, dan memrankan tokoh drama sesuai dengan karakernnya. (2) Aktivitas  pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMKN 9 Surakarta dalam masa pandemi korona sangat beragam. Aktivitas yang dilakukan siswa dengan guru yaitu dengan memanfaatkan media internet, YouTube,  WhatsApp dan google classroom.

Abstract

Background: Popular children’s television shows are thought to imitate elementary school children’s language behavior. If children do not get parental assistance, television viewing can have an adverse effect on children’s behavior. Purpose: Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of children’s television shows on the imitation behavior of elementary-age children. Methods: This study took a descriptive-qualitative approach. In-depth interviews with parents of elementary-age children who watch television were used to collect data for this study. The data analysis employed the interactive model. Results: This study found various imitations such as (1) linguistic imitation, children mimic the language used in television shows and add new vocabulary; (2) behavioral imitation, including both positive and negative behaviors. Positive habits include: Dancing, helping to cook like Bald, imitating the call to prayer, and reciting the Koran. Negative habits include language training, listening to adhan, singing, eating independently, understanding the show, reading, sharing food, practicing prayers, and mimicking adhan. Based on the impact of the shows, it is evident that not all children’s television shows positively impact their language and behavior. Implications: Theoretically, this research implies that elementary school children’s imitation behavior can be formed through television shows that children watch. The practical implications of this research are as input for parents and teachers to have television shows that children watch as a medium for elementary school children’s education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the values ​​of character education in the poem Phaosan Jehwae's Malay Patani Dilemma. The main approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research are the expressions in the Patani Malay Dilemma poetry which have character education values. The data source of this research is Phaosan Jehwae's Malay Patani Dilemma poetry. The data of this research were collected by means of documentation, observation, and note-taking techniques. This research data analysis using referential matching method. The results of this study indicate that there are eight values ​​of character education in the poems of Patani's Malay Dilemma by Phaosan Jehwae. The eight values ​​of character education include: (1) the character of love for the country, (2) religious character, (3) the character of hard work, (4) the character of optimism, (5) the character of being friendly or communicative, (6) the character of justice, (7) the character of language politeness, and (8) the character of wisdom. This shows that these poems are good for learning materials. This research is useful as a medium for character building students in high school.

Abstract

The literacy movement is a movement in an effort to improve abilities and insights in reading, writing, and so on so that learning can be created in everyday life. This study aims to describe the school literacy movement implemented by the school and identify the obstacles it faces. In this study using descriptive qualitative research type. This research technique was carried out by collecting data from various sources, namely teachers and students. This data collection was carried out using field observation techniques, documentation, and interviews followed by note taking techniques. The data analyzed consisted of data collection then described and a conclusion was drawn. From these conclusions it can be explained that MIM PK Kertonatan Kartasura is working hard to increase students' interest in reading, one of which is by implementing the 15-minute reading literacy movement. With this reading literacy movement, students will feel closer to literacy and books. In addition to the 15-minute reading literacy movement, MIM PK Kertonatan Kartasura also has a literacy movement such as reading the Koran, reading Iqro' and muroja'ah hadiths and short letters. Abstract

AbstrakKesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berbentuk cerita terletak pada kesalahan dalam mengubah soal cerita tersebut kedalam model matematika. Seharusnya siswa mampu menyelesaikan soal cerita dengan memahami konsep matematika, mengartikan bahasa dalam soal cerita ke dalam model matematika, sehingga siswa mampu melakukan perhitangan matematis dengan tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis keslahan konsep dan kesalahan perhitungan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Penelitian ini termasuk pada jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bersifat menganalisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Dari 2 Plupuh, Kabupeten Sragen, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan yang dialami yaitu 1) kesalahan memahami konsep, dimana siswa masih salah dalam mengubah satuan debit, karena tidak memahami definisi dari satuan hitung debit. 2) Kesalahan perhitungan, ditandai dengan siswa tidak mampu melakukan operasi-operasi matematika (penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian dan pembagian) pada soal cerita materi debit.Untuk memperbaiki kesalahan siswa, alangkah baiknya apabila siswa dibiasakan untuk mengerjakan soal-soal cerita matematika materi debit. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Faktor yang menyebabkan keslahan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika siswa kelas V SD adalah faktor internal dan eksternal AbstractThe student's mistake in solving the story-shaped problem lies in the error in changing the story problem into a mathematical model. Students should be able to solve word problems by understanding mathematical concepts, translating the language in word problems into mathematical models, so that students are able to do mathematical calculations correctly. The purpose of this study was to analyze conceptual errors and calculation errors in solving math word problems. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research that analyzes students' mistakes in solving word problems in fifth grade students of SD Negeri Dari 2 Plupuh, Sragen Regency, Central Java Province. The results of the research based on the analysis show that the errors experienced are 1) errors in understanding the concept, where students are still wrong in changing the debit unit, because they do not understand the definition of a debit unit. 2) Calculation errors, characterized by students not being able to carry out mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) on debit material word problems. To correct student errors, it would be nice if students were accustomed to working on math story questions on debit material. This shows that the factors that cause errors in solving math word problems for fifth grade elementary school students are internal and external factors

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of reference and context contained in the anthology of “Guru Welas Asih” memoirs. Qualitative descriptive method used in this study. This research aims at mapping references contained in the form of changes in the meaning of synesthesia. The data in this study are the form of words or phrases in the anthology of “Guru Welas Asih” memoirs. The data source for this research is an anthology of memoirs by the Komunitas Menulis Memoar entitled “Guru Welas Asih”. The memoir consists of 17 titles written by 17 members of the community. Provision of data in this study using note-taking techniques and documentation. Furthermore, data analysis uses the equivalent method with the application of referential techniques. The results of this study indicate that referent references cannot be separated from context. According to the findings of this study, the references contained in the anthology of “Guru Welas Asih” memoirs are: (1) reference words and (2) deictic words. The identified deixis is (1) persona deixis, (2) pointer deixis, and (3) place deixis. The type of reference refers to something that is bound by context. Therefore, the referent and context interact to show the reference.

Abstract

Character education in learning plays a role in helping students to grow good character that can be realized in their social life. Character education can also play a role so that students want to independently learn the material and develop an attitude of responsibility towards the tasks given by the teacher. This study aims to analyze the parenting style of parents in developing the responsibility of children ata private elementary school. The research employed a qualitative descriptive methodology. This study methodology employs many data collection techniques, including observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. This investigation employed the Miles and Huberman model as the data analysis technique. The outcome of his research pertains to the influence of parenting on the development of kid responsibility. Parenting greatly affects children's development and growth. Effective and suitable parenting practises help children grow and develop, whereas insufficient parenting might hinder their growth. Student accountability is directly related to parental attitudes. Parents must consider their children's particular qualities and developmental needs, including their age, while using effective parenting practises. Parents must also be patient, open, and eager to listen to their children when faced with obstacles or needs. Parents may help their children grow and develop into well-rounded, moral people by using successful and suitable parenting practises.

Abstract

Language errors are deviations from the language level which are influenced by various factors. The purpose of this research is to identify and describe the types and factors that cause language errors in student narrative texts and how to overcome language errors in student essays. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the Miles-Hubermen technique with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The object of this study are 11 narrative texts written by grade IV students with research subjects in the form of words, sentences, and spellings that contained language errors. Based on the research conducted, it is found that language errors in grade IV students that commonly occur, namely errors in diction selection, spelling in the form of capital letters and punctuation, as well as sentence irregularities are caused by internal and external factors of students.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia dan perbaikannya dalam proposal kegiatan ormawa di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat beberapa kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia, yaitu (1) kesalahan bebahasa pada tataran fonologi, (2) sintaksis, dan (3) fonologi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapakan menjadi bahan referensi agar penggunaan bahasa Indonesia lebih diperhatikan dalam penulisan proposal kegiatan ormawa.
