Abstract

Abstract: Poverty is a complex problem that involves several factors such as education level, income, lack of knowledge and skills and human resources, so that children born to poor families are likely to have lower levels of education and they tend to work in low-income sectors. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Etos ID program and determine the results of empowerment in the Etos ID program. This study used a qualitative approach, in collecting informants the researcher used a purposive sampling technique, data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation, data analysis techniques used data analysis techniques proposed by Miles and Huberman, and data validity techniques used source triangulation. The research results obtained show that in carrying out empowerment in the ID Etos (Improvement and Development) program, LPI DD carries out several stages including the preparation stage, the assessment or assessment stage, the alternative program or activity planning stage, the action plan formulation stage, the program or activity implementation stage, evaluation stage and termination stage. The results of empowerment in the Etos ID program in the economic, educational, health, spiritual, technological and political fields were considered optimal.Keywords:  Empowerment; Benefit recipients; Scholarship.Abstrak: Kemiskinan adalah masalah kompleks yang melibatkan beberapa faktor seperti tingkat pendidikan, pendapatan, kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta SDM, sehingga anak yang terlahir dari keluarga miskin berpeluang memiliki tingkat pendidikan yang lebih rendah dan mereka cenderung bekerja di sektor yang berpenghasilan rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan program Etos ID dan mengetahui hasil pemberdayaan pada program Etos ID. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dalam pengambilan informan peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman, dan teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan menunjukan bahwa dalam melaksanakan pemberdayaan pada program Etos ID (Improvement and Development), LPI DD menjalankan beberapa tahapan di antaranya tahap persiapan, tahap pengkajian atau assessment, tahap perencanaan alternatif program atau kegiatan, tahap pemformulasian rencana aksi, tahap pelaksanaan program atau kegiatan, tahap evaluasi dan tahap terminasi. Hasil pemberdayaan pada program Etos ID di bidang ekonomi, pendidikan, kesehatan, spiritual, teknologi dan politik dinilai maksimal.Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan; Penerima Manfaat; Beasiswa.

Abstract

Abstract: Stigma against people with disabilities by some people makes people with disabilities marginalized and considered incapable because of their shortcomings. This affects their opportunities in the labor market. In reality, people with disabilities only need accessibility, environmental access, social access, work access and so on. The negative stigma of some people that makes them limited is not because of the limitations they have, people with disabilities are faced with limitations because they are not given accessibility. In terms of accessibility, the state must be responsible for the fulfillment of the rights needed by persons with disabilities, this is done so that they are able to freely carry out their roles. This research method is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Collecting data through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. From the results of research that refers to the facilitating role theory proposed by Jime Ife, there are eight facilitating roles performed by Thisable Enterprise in empowering workers with disabilities, namely: social spirit, mediation and negotiation, support, building consensus, group facilitation, utilization of various skills and resources, organizing, and personal communication. The role of facilitating the empowerment of persons with disabilities carried out by Thisable Enterprise through vocational programs has greatly affected the lives of partners with disabilities to become more prosperous. In the soft skills and hard skills training programs that have been run by Thisable Enterprise, it is able to increase the competence of people with disabilities to compete in the labor market.Keywords: Role; Empowerment; Workforce; Persons with Disabilities.Abstrak: Stigma terhadap penyandang disabilitas oleh sebagian orang menjadikan penyandang disabilitas termarginalisasi dan dianggap tidak mampu karena kekurangannya. Hal ini berpengaruh terhadap peluang mereka di pasar tenaga kerja. Pada kenyataanya penyandang disabilitas hanya butuh aksesibilitas, akses lingkungan, akses sosial, akses bekerja dan lain sebagainya. Stigma negatif sebagian orang yang menjadikan mereka terbatas bukan karena keterbatasan yang mereka miliki, penyandang disabilitas dihadapkan dengan keterbatasan karena tidak diberikan aksesibilitas. Dalam hal aksesibilitas, negara harus bertanggung jawab atas pemenuhan hak-hak yang dibutuhkan oleh penyandang disabilitas, hal ini dilakukan agar mereka mampu dengan leluasa menjalankan perannya. Metode penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Dari hasil penelitian yang mengacu kepada teori peran memfasilitasi yang dikemukakan Jime Ife, terdapat delapan peran memfasilitasi yang dilakukan Thisable Enterprise dalam pemberdayaan tenaga kerja penyandang disabilitas, yaitu: semangat sosial, mediasi dan negosiasi, dukungan, membangun konsensus, fasilitasi kelompok, pemanfaatan berbagai keterampilan dan sumberdaya, mengorganisasi, dan komunikasi pribadi. Peran memfasilitasi dengan kegiatan pemberdayaan penyandang disabilitas yang dilakukan oleh Thisable Enterprise melalui program vokasional hasilnya sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan para mitra penyandang disabilitas menjadi lebih sejahtera. Dalam program pelatihan soft skill dan hard skill yang telah dijalankan oleh Thisable Enterprise mampu menambah kompetensi keahlian penyandang disabilitas dalam bersaing di pasar tenaga kerja.Kata Kunci: Peran; Pemberdayaan; Tenaga Kerja; Penyandang Disabilitas.

Abstract

The research explored the correlation between proficiency in grammar and the comprehension of descriptive text within a group of 60 eighth-grade students in MTs Mathlaul Anwar Bakung. between proficiency in grammar and reading comprehension. These results suggest that improving students' grammar proficiency may contribute to better understanding of descriptive text, but other factors should also be considered in order to enhance overall comprehension skills. Additionally, further research is needed to explore the specific factors that may influence reading comprehension of descriptive text in order to develop comprehensive strategies and interventions.

Abstract

Sesuai dengan undang undang pengelolaan zakat No 23 tahun 2011 adalah meningkatkan manfaat zakat untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan penanggulangan kemiskina, maka dibutuhkan program penyaluran zakat yang mendukung pemberdayaan dan tidak bersifat konsumtif. BAZNAS dengan melakukan pendayagunaan zakat produktif, menyalurkan dana umat untuk membantu mustahik agar bisa mandiri dan berdaya, salah satunya dengan mengadakan program pemberdayaan ekonomi. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap Kelompok ZChicken Jakarta Utara, penelitian ini menggunakanan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Sumber data yang digunakanan adalah data primer dan data skunder dengan cara pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan pengujian keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori peran pekerja sosial yang dikemukakan oleh Jim Ife, dan teori indikator hasil pemberdayaan menurut Sumodiningrat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran dan hasil dari pemberdayaan yang dilakukan oleh BAZNAS terhadap mustahtik melalui Program ZChicken khususnya Kelompok ZChicken Jakarta Utara. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu BAZNAS dapat menjalankan peran – peran sebagai pekerja sosial atau community worker dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi terhadap mustahik penerima bantuan ZChicken yang ada di wilayah Jakarta Utara melalui program pemberian bantuan modal usaha, pelatihan, dan pendampingan kelompok.

Abstract

Capsule shells are generally made from gelatin. The gelatin that is spread in the world is commonly derived from pigs. This animal is forbidden to be consumed by Muslims. This issue is due to the halal aspect. Sago starch and sodium alginate are halal materials that are capable of gelatinizing. This property made it able to be molded as a capsule. This research aims to determine the formula of sago and sodium alginate as a capsule and the evaluation. Three formulas were made with the ratio of sago and sodium alginate 100%: 0% (formula 1), 50%: 50% (formula 2), and 0%: 100% (formula 3). The capsule was manually molded using a food-grade stainless steel capsule mold. The size of the capsule, weight uniformity, swelling, and disintegration time were determined for a physical evaluation. SLD was used to determine the best formula, and the validation was done using One-sample T-test. The evaluations of the capsule shell were found ranged as follows: the size specifications were 21-22 mm, the body diameter was 6.1-7.2 mm, the cap diameter was 13.6-13.8 mm, weight uniformity was 0.10-0.26 gram, the swelling test was 433-1583%, and the disintegration time was 10.20-14.43 minutes. The best formula based on the SLD of the experiment was formula 3, which are two parameters that met the requirements, i.e., swelling and disintegration time. The sago and sodium alginate were crosslinked, and the capsule was made. However, the performance dislike of gelatin capsules. Continued research shall be done to find the optimum formula and its characteristics for alternative material on halal capsules.

Abstract

The advancement of communication technology has sophisticated all aspects of human lives, including Islamic dakwah (preaching) activities, for Muslim communities in Indonesia. As a result, several Islamic organizations in Indonesia try hard to match this advancement by using digital media for their dakwah to reach larger audiences and youth media-savvy generation. This article, by focusing on three Islamic organizations in Indonesia (Nahdlatul Ulama known as NU, Muhammadiyah, and Al Washliyah), addresses the question of how their dakwah activities and strategies respond to advancement of communication technology on a social media platform, YouTube. This study employs digital etnography by collecting the data from YouTube accounts affiliated to the three organizations. By using content analysis for data interpretations, this article finds that each Islamic organization has its own characteristics of virtual dakwah activities and strategies. NU focuses on the teachings of ahlussunnah wal jamaah and religious tolerance, Muhammadiyah emphasizes charity and business, while Al Washliyah aims to strengthen the faith and morals of the society. In addition, their virtual dakwah activities are also in the context of countering transnational Islamic movements that utilize social media for their dakwah.

Abstract

This study aims to get an overview of the development of Islamic Preaching through smartphones in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenology design. This study examined the phenomenon of the booming of Preaching content on social media since Preaching through social media is currently in demand, as indicated by the emergence of a large number of the preacher, especially in Indonesia. The experience and motive of such phenomenon became the basis of this study’s analysis using phenomenological methods and Alfred Schutz’s theory. The results demonstrated a change in the Preaching of the preacher. The spirit of delivering Preaching (through writings) is based on two types of motives. First, individuals are eager (to) receive a blessing from Allah and be ‘ghirah.’ Second, the convenience and facilities available in smartphone technology have triggered the development of social media platforms that eventually support the delivery of Preaching.

Abstract

BAZNAS Mustahik Economic Empowerment Agency is a productive zakat management and utilisation institution. This institution, through the Mustahik Entrepreneur empowerment programme, empowers and distributes zakat funds to mustahik MSMEs actors who have the potential to develop their businesses. The Mustahik Entrepreneur programme acts as a tool for productive mustahik to develop into muzakki. This research aims to explain LPEM's strategy in empowering mustahik groups, the stages of empowerment, and the inhibiting and supporting factors of the empowerment programme of the Barokah Food MSMEs group of the Mustahik Entrepreneur Programme of LPEM BAZNAS. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation as well as purposive sampling techniques in selecting research informants. Data analysis through three flows, namely data reduction. Presentation of data and conclusion drawing. The results of the research that economic empowerment in the Barokah Food MSMEs group are: 1) Capital assistance, not just direct funds but also business tools and materials; 2) Improving skills, mustahiks are accompanied and coached to improve skills and develop businesses; 3) Sustainable empowerment. The conclusion is that the empowerment of the Barokah Food MSMEs group through the Mustahik Entrepreneur Programme has increased mustahik income, developed businesses while increasing mustahik knowledge and skills.

Abstract

The leaves of R. stylosa are a potential source of bioactive compounds for health and pharmacology. The composition of bioactive compounds in the leaves can be influenced by the ecological conditions and geographical location of this small island. This study aims to evaluate the toxicity and composition of bioactive compounds that are toxic in mangrove leaf extracts of R. stylosa from Maspari Island in coastal South Sumatra. A total of 1 kg of R. stylosa leaf samples were taken from Maspari Island then washed thoroughly to remove dirt, cut into small pieces, and dried in the sun using the indirect sunlight method covered with black cloth. The dried leaf samples were then pulverized into powder, and as much as 100 grams of fine powder was macerated with 96% ethanol solvent in a ratio of 1:10 (b/v). The maceration process was carried out for 1 x 24 hours, then the maceration solution was filtered and evaporated using a rotary evaporator at 60°C to become a concentrated extract. Toxicity tests were carried out using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method, while the identification of toxic bioactive compounds was carried out through phytochemical tests, total phenol tests, and GC-MS analysis. The test results showed that the LC50 value of R. stylosa leaf extract was 393 mg/mL (moderately toxic). The total phenol content was 442.82 (gGA/g), and the bioactive compounds identified included alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, terpenoids, and acids such as Hexadecanoic acid, methyl ester, and trans-13-Octadecenoic acid, methyl ester.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan di masyarakat yang serius dengan prevalensi cukup tinggi, hal ini umumnya disebabkan oleh anak yang kekurangan asupan gizi di 1000 hari pertama kehidupan. Kurangnya pemenuhan asupan gizi merupakan masalah yang kompleks dan multi sectoral. Tujuan dari pengabdian Masyarakat ini agar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan penyelesaian masalah terkait dengan stunting yang ada di masyarakat terutama pada skala rumah tangga. 21 responden diikutkan dalam pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini yang semuanya adalah Tim Penggerak PKK. Kegiatan ini dimulai dari bulan September-November 2024. Tahapan kegiatan dibagi menjadi 3, tahap pertama adalah tahap persiapan, tahap kedua pelaksanaan dan tahapan ketiga adalah evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah semua peserta terlihat antusias dan bersemangat mengenai program ini. Implementasi Teknologi Integrated Farming Skala Rumah Tangga sudah terpasang di 6 titik Lokasi yang diperkirakan stuntingnya tinggi. Melalui, Integrated Farming Skala Rumah Tangga keluarga dapat memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan yang    tersedia  untuk menanam sayuran berternak lele. Hal ini membantu memastikan ketersediaan bahan pangan segar yang bernutrisi  tinggi  di tingkat rumah tangga. Kata Kunci: Stunting, Integrated Farming Skala Rumah Tangga, Ketahan Pangan  ABSTRACT Stunting is a serious public health problem with a fairly high prevalence, this is generally caused by children who lack nutritional intake in the first 1000 days of life. Lack of fulfillment of nutritional intake is a complex and multi-sectoral problem. The purpose of this Community Service was to increase knowledge and problem-solving skills related to stunting in the community, especially at the household level. 21 respondents were included in this Community Service, all of whom were PKK Team Leaders. This activity started from September-November 2024. The stages of the activity were divided into 3, the first stage was the preparation stage, the second stage was implementation and the third stage was evaluation. The results of this activity were that all participants looked enthusiastic and excited about this program. The implementation of Household-Scale Integrated Farming Technology has been installed at 6 locations where stunting is estimated to be high. Through Household-Scale Integrated Farming, families can utilize the available yard land to grow vegetables and raise catfish. This helps ensure the availability of fresh, highly nutritious food at the household level. Keyword: Stunting, Integrated Farming Household Scale, Food Security
