Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the primary factors that contribute to the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Indonesia, with a specific focus on age, comorbidities, and vaccination status. A retrospective analysis was performed utilizing patient data obtained from the West Lombok Health Office in the year 2020. The findings indicated that individuals aged 59 years or older had a considerably higher risk of mortality, with an odds ratio of 0.065 (95% confidence interval: 0.014 - 0.305). Comorbidities, specifically hypertension and diabetes mellitus, were found to be substantial risk factors. The odds ratio for hypertension was 63.64 (95% CI: 1.232 - 30.608), while the odds ratio for diabetes mellitus was 2.00 (95% CI: 1.593 - 2.512). The study revealed that being vaccinated considerably decreased the likelihood of death, with an odds ratio of 0.071 (95% CI: 0.015 - 0.334). Nevertheless, engaging in self-isolation was found to greatly elevate the likelihood of mortality, as indicated by an odds ratio of 195.429 (95% confidence interval: 22.894 - 1668.196). The Chi-Square test revealed a statistically significant association between vaccination status and COVID-19 mortality, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. The logistic regression analysis revealed that the type of isolation had a very significant and large effect on COVID-19 mortality. The odds ratio (Exp(B)) was 96.604, showing a strong association between the type of isolation and the mortality rate. The p-value was 0.000, further confirming the statistical significance of this relationship. Therefore, the type of isolation plays a critical role in determining the death rate of COVID-19 patients. These findings emphasize the significance of immunization programs and efficient isolation measures in decreasing COVID-19 mortality. In summary, this study offers significant information that can be used to develop more focused health policies in Indonesia. It emphasizes the crucial importance of vaccination and isolation measures in effectively managing the COVID-19 pandemic. Gaining insight into these factors can assist in customizing health treatments to mitigate risks and enhance clinical outcomes for COVID-19 patients in Indonesia

Abstract

This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach to examine the impact of hospital brand image on patient loyalty in private Islamic hospitals in Mataram. Data were collected from 223 patients at RSI Siti Hajar Mataram using structured questionnaires. The sample was selected through proportional stratified random sampling, ensuring representation across various hospital care classes.The findings of this study reveal that: (1) a positive hospital brand image significantly correlates with patient loyalty (p ≤ 0.001); (2) 96.5% of patients with a positive perception of the hospital’s image demonstrated high loyalty; (3) demographic factors, such as age, gender, and education level, influence patients’ perceptions of the hospital brand image; and (4) Muslim patients exhibited higher loyalty levels compared to non-Muslim patients, highlighting the relevance of Islamic values in healthcare services.The study underscores the critical importance of developing a positive brand image to enhance patient loyalty. Hospitals should adopt comprehensive strategies to improve service quality, ensure effective communication, and align their services with patients’ cultural and religious values. These efforts can foster trust, strengthen the hospital’s reputation, and secure long-term patient retention, particularly in culturally sensitive contexts.

Abstract

Eleusine indica is a grass weed in oil palm plantations, especially during the period of immature crops. The application of glyphosate for weed control shows diverse effectiveness. This study aims to determine the age of susceptible weeds in increasing the effectiveness of glyphosate in controlling E. indica. The study tested the application of glyphosate with three levels (486, 729, and 972 g/ha) at three different weed ages (3, 6, and 9 weeks). E. indica was taken from oil palm plantations that were previously glyphosate-depleted, then sprayed with glyphosate according to the dose studied. Each treatment combination is represented by five pots containing five individual weeds. The results showed that the application of glyphosate aged three and six weeks of higher effectiveness controlled E. indica for doses of 486 and 729 g/ha) than a nine-week application for all doses tested. Regrowth of weeds is found mainly the application of glyphosate at the age of a month of weeks. The development of E. indica's resistance to glyphosate needs attention in oil palm plantations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan tingkat ketercapaian manajemen pembelajaran 2) mendeskripsikan tingkat ketercapaian layanan pendidikan 3) mendeskripsikan tingkat mutu lulusan 4) mendeskripsikan tingkat ketercapaian manajemen pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan mutu lulusan 5) mendeskripsikan tingkat ketercapaian layanan pendidikan terhadap peningkatan mutu lulusan 6) mendeskripsikan tingkat ketercapaian pengaruh manajemen pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan mutu lulusan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MAN 2 Lebak dan SMAN 1 Panggaranagn. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan regresi dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini mendapati : Satu, tingkat ketercapaian manajemen pembelajaran secara keselurahan mencapai 93% kategori sangat tinggi, Kedua, tingkat ketercapaian layanan pendidikan secara keseluruhan mencapai 88,20%  termasuk kategori sangat tinggi, Ketiga, tingkat ketercapaian mutu lulusan secara keseluruhan mencapai 89,20 % kategori sangat tinggi, Keempat, Pengaruh anatara manajemen pembelajaran guru dengan mutu lulusan adalah signifikan dan Pengaruh termasuk kategori tinggi. Nilai koefisien determinasi menunjukkan pengaruh manajemen pembelajaran guru terhadap mutu lulusan sebasar 58,6 persen. Sisanya sebesar 41,4 persen mutu lulusan dipengruhi oleh variabel-variabel lainnya, Kelima, Pengaruh anatara layanan pendidikan dengan mutu lulusan adalah signifikan dan pengaruh termasuk kategori tinggi. Nilai koefisien determinasi menunjukkan pengaruh layanan pendidikan terhadap mutu lulusan sebasar 68,9 persen. Sisanya sebesar 41,1 persen mutu lulusan dipengruhi oleh variabel-variabel lainnya, Keenam, pengaruh anatara manajemen pembelajaran guru dan layanan Pendidikan dengan mutu lulusan adalah signifikan dan pengaruh termasuk kategori tinggi. Nilai koefisien determinasi menunjukkan pengaruh manajemen pembelajaran guru dan layanan Pendidikan secara Bersama-sama terhadap mutu lulusan sebasar 73,6 persedn. Sisanya sebesar 22,4 persen mutu lulusan dipengruhi oleh variabel-variabel lainnya.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe the process of enhancing teachers' pedagogical competence in Society 5.0. A qualitative research methodology was employed, utilizing a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews with one principal, one vice principal, six teachers, and one administrative staff member. Data processing techniques included reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was ensured through credibility and confirmability. The findings indicate three stages of teacher development: (a) Awareness and behavior formation stage, which involves training needs analysis, learning design, access to self-contained material centers, teacher motivation, moral and material support, performance assessment, Yaumiyah, Tastqif, and Tahfidzul Qur'an programs. (b) The ability transformation stage focused on education quality, the application of independent learning, and learning design. (c) The ability enhancement stage involved IT-based learning and teacher collaboration. The outcomes of teacher development encompassed competence mapping, student mentoring, identification of developmental needs, fostering Islamic personality, nurturing character-driven teachers, employing Student-Centered and Project Learning models, and an increase in teachers' knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of student management in Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri). This research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Serang as one of the State Madrasah Aliyah in Banten Province. A descriptive qualitative approach was used as the method in this study. The data were collected through three techniques from Miles and Huberman: observation, interview, and documentation. Direct interviews were conducted with the principal, vice-principal for curriculum, vice-principal for student affairs, and teachers as informants. Study data were analyzed using three stages: reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The study findings describe that the implementation of student management in the school is exemplary. This study concludes that student management that has been implemented is optimal in supporting 21st-century learning. The research findings recommend that student management be implemented based on moral nature.

Abstract

Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penambahan cermin reflektor terhadap kinerja dari kompor surya tipe kotak. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengujian ini adalah eksperimental. Pengujian dilakukan di Laboratorium Konversi Energi Teknik Mesin Universitas Tridinanti Palembang. Penelitiaan dilakukan pada kompor surya tipe kotak dengan 3 cermin reflector. Kompor surya ini di uji untuk memanaskan air sebanyak 0,7 Liter air. Pengujian yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan kinerja kompor adalah dengan menggunakan satu cermin, kemudian berikutnya dilakukan dengan penambahan 2 cermin pada posisi kiri dan kanan kompor surya. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh hasil untuk kompor surya cermin tunggal diperoleh temperatur yang tertinggi dalam proses pemanasan air yaitu 80.2 oC, daya kompor sebersar 486.66 Watt. Sedangkan pengujian dengan penambahan cermin temperature yang tercapai adalah 83.4 oC dan daya kompor 518.02 Watt. Efisiensi kompor tertinggi diperoleh untuk cermin tunggal adalah sebesar 9,89 %, sedangkan efisiensi dengan penambahan cermin sebesar  17.36 %.

Abstract

Kemiskinan masyarakat pesisir merupakan persoalan sosial yang kompleks dan multidimensi, yang hingga kini masih menjadi tantangan dalam pembangunan daerah. Artikel ini membahas kemiskinan pesisir di Kabupaten Takalar dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam dengan nelayan dan pemangku kepentingan lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemiskinan nelayan lebih banyak dipengaruhi oleh faktor struktural, seperti keterbatasan akses modal, pasar, pendidikan, kesehatan, serta minimnya infrastruktur dan dukungan kebijakan yang berpihak pada nelayan kecil. Relasi patron-klien dengan tengkulak memperkuat lingkaran ketergantungan, sementara strategi adaptif masyarakat, seperti diversifikasi mata pencaharian dan pemanfaatan jaringan sosial, hanya bersifat sementara dan tidak mampu mengubah kondisi struktural. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kemiskinan pesisir bukan semata persoalan ekonomi, melainkan hasil dari konfigurasi ekonomi-politik dan sosial-budaya yang saling terkait. Temuan ini berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan teori sosiologi kemiskinan dengan menyoroti interaksi antara faktor struktural, kultural, dan strategi adaptif komunitas. Selain itu, hasil penelitian dapat menjadi rujukan bagi perumusan kebijakan pembangunan daerah yang lebih inklusif dan berkeadilan sosial.Poverty in coastal communities is a complex and multidimensional social problem that continues to challenge regional development in Indonesia. This article examines coastal poverty in Takalar Regency using a qualitative approach through field observations and in-depth interviews with fishermen and local stakeholders. The findings reveal that fishermen’s poverty is predominantly shaped by structural factors, including limited access to capital, markets, education, health services, as well as inadequate infrastructure and weak policy support for small-scale fishers. The patron–client relationship with local middlemen reinforces cycles of dependency, while community adaptive strategies, such as livelihood diversification and reliance on kinship networks, remain temporary and insufficient to transform structural constraints. This study highlights that coastal poverty is not merely an economic issue but the outcome of intertwined economic, political, and socio-cultural configurations. The research contributes to the development of sociological theories of poverty by emphasizing the interaction between structural constraints, cultural dimensions, and community adaptive strategies. Furthermore, the findings provide policy insights for more inclusive and socially just regional development.

Abstract

Financial institutions, both banks and non-banks, play a strategic role in business transactions in today's modern era. Almost no business activity today requires the services of financial institutions and banks, as the current transaction system is slowly shifting from manual transactions to digital transaction systems using electronic devices and internet connections. This reality is triggered by several reasons, including the fact that digital transaction systems are seen as providing greater convenience, speed, and practicality because they can be done anytime and anywhere without being limited by space and time. In providing credit, there is certainly an agreement and also a guarantee. One well-known guarantee institution is "Fiducia". The government has implemented credit policies through financial institutions, both government-owned and private, which can provide credit with low interest rates and easy requirements and other things. Fiducia itself is an old term that is already known in Indonesian. According to Law Number 42 of 1999 concerning Fiducia Guarantees, this is also called the term "transfer of ownership rights in trust." This study aims to analyze the settlement of debtor defaults in financing agreements with fiduciary collateral for four-wheeled vehicles based on the provisions of Law Number 42 of 1999 concerning Fiduciary Guarantees. This study uses a normative juridical method with a statutory and conceptual approach. The results indicate that default settlement can be carried out through the execution of the fiduciary collateral object based on a Fiduciary Guarantee Certificate, which has executorial power as stipulated in Article 29 of the Fiduciary Guarantee Law.

Abstract

Kualitas layanan pendidikan sangat bergantung pada kesejahteraan dan motivasi tenaga pendidik. Namun, implementasi sistem kompensasi di lembaga pendidikan sering kali menghadapi tantangan struktural, seperti keterbatasan anggaran, ketidakjelasan mekanisme administratif, dan ketidakseimbangan antara insentif finansial dan non-finansial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen kompensasi yang efektif di tengah kendala tersebut dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan kompensasi tidak dapat lagi bergantung sepenuhnya pada aspek transaksional (gaji semata), terutama bagi lembaga dengan kapasitas finansial terbatas. Temuan studi menegaskan bahwa penguatan kompensasi non-finansial—meliputi pengembangan karier, pengakuan profesional, dan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif—menjadi variabel krusial dalam mempertahankan loyalitas dan kinerja guru. Artikel ini merekomendasikan perlunya lembaga pendidikan mengembangkan model kompensasi adaptif yang menyeimbangkan penghargaan materiil dan psikologis guna menciptakan keadilan organisasi dan menjamin mutu pendidikan yang berkelanjutan.
